Childhood hereditary pancreatitis is a rare entity of uncertain etiology, characterized by recurrent episodes of acute pancreatitis, abdominal pain and other unspecific symptoms. Among several therapeutic alternatives, pancreatojejunostomy is presently the treatment of choice.
