RESUMO

Deficiencies in Cystathionine-ß-synthase (CBS) lead to hyperhomocysteinemia (HHCy), which is considered a risk factor for cardiovascular, bone and neurological disease. Moreover, CBS is important for the production of cysteine, hydrogen sulfide (H2 S) and glutathione. Studying the biological role of CBS in adult mice has been severely hampered by embryological disturbances and perinatal mortality. To overcome these issues and assess the effects of whole-body CBS deficiency in adult mice, we engineered and characterized a Cre-inducible Cbs knockout model during ageing. No perinatal mortality occurred before Cbs-/- induction at 10 weeks of age. Mice were followed until 90 weeks of age and ablation of Cbs was confirmed in liver and kidney but not in brain. Severe HHCy was observed in Cbs-/- (289 ± 58 µM) but not in Cbs+/- or control mice (<10 µM). Cbs-/- showed impaired growth, facial alopecia, endothelial dysfunction in absence of increased mortality, and signs of liver or kidney damage. CBS expression in skin localized to sebaceous glands and epidermis, suggesting local effects of Cbs-/- on alopecia. Cbs-/- showed increased markers of oxidative stress and senescence but expression of other H2 S producing enzymes (CSE and 3-MST) was not affected. CBS deficiency severely impaired H2 S production capacity in liver, but not in brain or kidney. In summary, Cbs-/- mice presented a mild phenotype without mortality despite severe HHCy. The findings demonstrate that HHCy is not directly linked to development of end organ damage.

OBJECTIVE: This study was conducted to compare the correlation between the Pap smear and colposcopy findings in postmenopausal Mexican women. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Observational, Retroelective, longitudinal, descriptive study, all menopausal women who consulted for pap smears and colposcopy performed was studied. RESULTS: 119 patients were evaluated. 72 % of pap smears were negative to human papilloma virus, 29 (24%) had a low-grade lesion and 4 (4%) had a high-grade lesions. In the colposcopic study: 31 studies (26%) report low-grade intraepithelial lesion and 2 cases (2%) high-grade lesion. The histopathological biopsy reported one invasive cervical cancer (2.43%) and 20 cases of low-grade lesions (48.7%). cytology had a sensitivity of 85.3% and specificity of 56.09% with a false negative rate of 14.3%, a positive predictive value of 66.03 % and a negative predictive value of 79.31%. Colposcopy: sensitivity= 82.92%, specificity = 56.09% with a false negative rate of 17.07% positive predictive value of 65.38% and a negative predictive value of 76.66%. CONCLUSIONS: The correlation between Pap smear and colposcopy shows that the diagnosis of low and high grade lesions differs only by 2%, therefore indicates adequate sensitivity for diagnosis. In this population of women routine gynecological tests most be performed.

BACKGROUND: The placental site trophoblastic tumor is the second rarest tumor of trophoblastic disease, with less than 300 cases reported. Clinical presentation it's a diagnostic challenge, it has an unpredictable malignant potential, and it can develop choriocarcinoma and even have simultaneous presentation. CASE REPORT: We present the case of a 34 year old woman with chronic transvaginal bleeding since her last cesarean (five months ago), with histologic diagnosis of placental site trophoblastic tumor and inmuno- histoquimic report of choriocarcinoma, this early diagnosis improves her survival prognostic. CONCLUSION: placental site trophoblastic tumor and their evolution to choriocarcinoma have a low rate but it's possible. That it's the reason why complete diagnosis with biopsy, histologic and inmunohistoquimic report is mandatory to improve therapeutic.

Acute leukemia is rare during pregnancy, affects about 1 in 75,000 pregnancies, of all leukemias diagnosed only 28% are acute lymphoblastic leukemia, this is a risk factor to develop spontaneous tumor lysis syndrome, it's a oncologic complication potentially deadly if the prophylactic treatment its avoided. Cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia associated with pregnancy has been poorly documented in the literature the association of these two entities to pregnancy is the first report published worldwide, so the information is limited.

Leptospirosis and haemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) are hard to distinguish clinically since these two important rodent-borne zoonoses share hallmark symptoms such as renal failure and haemorrhage. Leptospirosis is caused by infection with a spirochete while HFRS is the result of an infection with certain hantaviruses. Both diseases are relatively rare in the Netherlands. Increased incidence of HFRS has been observed since 2007 in countries that border the Netherlands. Since a similar rise in incidence has not been registered in the Netherlands, we hypothesise that due to overlapping clinical manifestations, hantavirus infections may be confused with leptospirosis, leading to underdiagnosis. Therefore, we tested a cohort of non-travelling Dutch patients with symptoms compatible with leptospirosis, but with a negative diagnosis, during 2010 and from April to November 2011. Sera were screened with pan-hantavirus IgG and IgM enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs). Sera with IgM reactivity were tested by immunofluorescence assay (IFA). ELISA (IgM positive) and IFA results were confirmed using focus reduction neutralisation tests (FRNTs). We found hantavirus-specific IgG and/or IgM antibodies in 4.3% (11/255) of samples taken in 2010 and in 4.1% (6/146) of the samples during the 2011 period. After FRNT confirmation, seven patients were classed as having acute Puumala virus infections. A review of hantavirus diagnostic requests revealed that at least three of the seven confirmed acute cases as well as seven probable acute cases of hantavirus infection were missed in the Netherlands during the study period.

Hospitalized elderly patients frequently suffer from delirium, especially in the context of sepsis-associated encephalopathy. Current treatments of delirium are merely symptomatic. Calorie restriction (CR) is both a promising strategy to protect against sepsis and has beneficial effects on aging-induced neurodegeneration. In this study, we investigated whether six weeks of 30% CR had protective effects on lipopolysaccharide (LPS) induced (neuro)inflammation in wild-type (WT) and progeroid mice deficient in the DNA excision-repair gene Ercc1 (Ercc1Δ/-). While CR did not affect the LPS-induced inflammatory response in WT mice, CR exaggerated the peripheral inflammatory response in Ercc1Δ/- mice, as evidenced by an increase of pro-inflammatory serum cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1ß, and IFN-γ) and kidney injury marker Ngal. Neuroinflammatory effects were assessed by RNA-sequencing of isolated microglia. Similarly, CR did not affect microglia gene expression in WT mice, but increased neuroinflammation-associated gene expression in Ercc1Δ/- mice. In conclusion, CR increases the peripheral and brain inflammatory response of Ercc1Δ/- mice to a systemic inflammatory stimulus.

ECN is developing a novel fabrication process for thin film silicon solar cells on steel foil. Key features in this process are: (1) application of an insulating barrier layer which enables monolithic interconnection and texturization of the rear contact with submicron structures for light trapping; (2) Si deposition with remote, linear PECVD; (3) series interconnection by laser scribing and printing after deposition of all layers, which reduces the total number of process steps. The barrier layer is essential for the monolithic series interconnection of cells, but we show that it also enables optimum light trapping in the solar cells. We can fabricate any arbitrary sub-micron surface profile by hot embossing the barrier layer. For deposition of doped and intrinsic silicon layers we use novel remote, linear plasma sources, which are excellently suited for continuous roll-to-roll processing. We have been able to fabricate device-quality amorphous and microcrystalline silicon layers with these sources. The first nip a-Si cells were made on steel substrates with flat barrier layer and had initial efficiencies of 6.3%, showing the potential of the concept.

OBJECTIVE: To determine the involvement of coagulation in bleeding and poor outcome in patients with severe leptospirosis. METHODS: In a prospective study, parameters of the coagulation system were measured on admission and during follow-up in 52 consecutive patients with severe leptospirosis. RESULTS: All patients showed coagulation disorders, such as prolonged prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time, marked procoagulant activity [thrombin-antithrombin (TAT) complexes, prothrombin fragment 1+2, D-dimer], reduced levels of anticoagulant markers (protein C, antithrombin) and increased (anti-) fibrinolytic activity [plasmin-antiplasmin (PAP) complexes, plasminogen activator inhibitor-1]. These disorders were more pronounced in patients who died eventually. PT prolongation was associated with mortality (OR 1.4, 95% CI: 1.0-1.8, P = 0.04). Bleeding occurred in 31 subjects (60%). An outbreak of leptospirosis in seals (Phoca vitulina) in captivity is described. In a zoo in The Netherlands 5 adult seals died within 12 days. At necropsy all animals showed signs of acute septicaemia, consistent with acute leptospirosis. Serological examination of one animal was positive for antibodies against Leptospira interrogans serovar Icterohaemorrhagiae and the serologically closely related serovar Copenhageni. Polymerase chain reaction was positive in one other animal. 8 nutria (Myocastor coypus) were examined, serologically, through bacteriological culture and PCR. 81,8% (9/11) were serologically positive for Leptospira. The seals and nutria were housed in the same water system.

Local hyperthermia and the hypoxic cytotoxin SR 4233 were administered to nude mice with 693 +/- 47 mm3 (mean +/- SE) s.c. HCT-8 human colonic adenocarcinoma xenografts in an attempt to enhance the antitumor effects of radioimmunotherapy. Biodistribution studies revealed preferential binding of NR-Lu-10, a murine monoclonal antibody, to the tumors compared with an isotype-matched control antibody, CCOO16-3.A single injection of 25 microCi 90Y-NR-Lu-10 significantly inhibited tumor growth (control versus 90Y-NR-Lu-10: P = 0.048). The administration of hyperthermia at 41.5 degrees C for 1 h immediately following the injection of 111In-labeled NR-Lu-10 up-regulated tumor-associated antigen expression and increased antibody uptake in the tumors by 73% (P = 0.001) without significantly affecting antibody uptake in normal tissues. However, the heat treatment did not produce a more homogeneous distribution of the antibodies in the tumors and did not significantly enhance the tumor growth delay produced by 90Y-NR-Lu-10 (P = 0.07). The administration of local hyperthermia at 43.0 degrees C for 1 h, on the other hand, had direct cytotoxic effects (P = 0.03) and enhanced the tumor growth delay produced by 90Y-NR-Lu-10 (P = 0.01). SR 4233 also enhanced the tumor growth delay produced by 90Y-NR-Lu-10 (P = 0.03). The greatest antitumor effects were observed when both hyperthermia at 43.0 degrees C and SR 4233 were administered in combination with 90Y-NR-Lu-10 (P = 0.002). No toxicity was produced by the local hyperthermia, and the only toxicities produced by 90Y-NR-Lu-10 and SR 4233 were neutropenia and weight loss.

The murine B-cell lymphoma 38C13 model was used to study the radiobiological effect of 131I-monoclonal antibody (MAB) therapy compared with dose equivalent external beam irradiation. Continuous exponentially decreasing low dose rate (LDR) gamma-irradiation, and multiply fractionated (MF) X-irradiation were compared with dose equivalent 131I-MAB. The relative therapeutic efficacy of radioimmunotherapy, and the relative contribution of (a) low dose rate; (b) whole body irradiation; and (c) microdosimetry to the overall effect were determined. Groups of mice with or without B-cell lymphoma were treated with either (a) 131I-anti-idiotype MAB; (b) 131I-isotype-matched irrelevant control MAB; (c) 5-15 Gy 250 kV X-irradiation given as a single fraction; (d) 2.5-30 Gy 250 kV X-irradiation given in 10 fractions/2 weeks; or by (e) continuous exponentially decreasing gamma-irradiation via a 137Cs source, which simulated the effective t1/2 of the 131I-MAB. In tumor-free mice the LD50/30 was approximately 10 Gy for MF and LDR external irradiation, and 11-12 Gy for 131I-MAB. However, the effect of these modes of irradiation on tumor size differed significantly. The cumulative percentage of tumor reduction averaged over 12 days was 0.635 +/- 0.055%/Gy for MF, and 1.36 +/- 0.061%/Gy for LDR external irradiation (a relative efficacy factor of 1.63 for LDR irradiation; P = 0.01). Assuming homogeneous body distribution, the tumor reduction effect over 12 days for 131I-MAB was 2.064 +/- 0.133%/Gy for specific, and 1.742 +/- 0.1%/Gy for nonspecific isotype-matched irrelevant 131I-MAB (P = 0.02). When 131I-MAB was compared to LDR external irradiation, the relative efficacy factor was 1.99 (P less than 0.001). In summary, there was a dose rate effect on tumor response, which may in part explain the efficacy of radioimmunotherapy. The additional effect of 131I-MAB on tumor response was only partially explained by the cumulative concentration ratio of 131I-MAB tumor/131I-MAB whole body, which was on average 1.7. This relatively low concentration ratio was partly due to tumor-mediated dehalogenation. Thus, the overall tumor response was a function of the total dose, dose rate, and both the specific and nonspecific distribution of 131I-MAB.

Inducible cyclooxygenase (Cox-2), also known as prostaglandin H synthase 2 (PGH-2) is a key enzyme in the formation of prostaglandins and thromboxanes. Cox-2 is the product of an immediate-early gene that is expressed in response to growth factors, tumor promoters, or cytokines. Overexpression of Cox-2 is associated with both human colon cancers and suppression of apoptosis in cultured epithelia] cells, an activity that is reversed by the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, sulindac sulfide. To address the relationship between Cox-2, apoptosis, and tumor development in vivo, we studied C57BL/6J-Min/+(Min) mice, a strain containing a fully penetrant dominant mutation in the Apc gene, leading to the development of gastrointestinal adenomas by 110 days of age. Min mice were fed AIN-76A chow diet and given sulindac (0.5 +/- 0.1 mg/day) in drinking water. Control Min mice and homozygous C57BL/6J-+/+ normal littermates lacking the Apc mutation (+/+) were fed AIN-76A diet and given tap water to drink. At 110 days of age, all mice were sacrificed, and their intestinal tracts were examined. Control Min mice had 11.9 +/- 7.8 tumors per mouse compared to 0.1 +/- 0.1 tumors for sulindac-treated Min mice. As expected, +/+ littermates had no macroscopic tumors. Examination of histologically normal-appearing small bowel from Min animals revealed increased amounts of Cox-2 and prostaglandin E(2) compared to +/+ littermates. Using two different in situ techniques, terminal transferase-mediated dUTP nick end labeling and a direct immunoperoxidase method, Min animals also demonstrated a 27-47% decrease in enterocyte apoptosis compared to +/+ animals. Treatment with sulindac not only inhibited tumor formation but decreased small bowel Cox-2 and prostaglandin E(2) to baseline and restored normal levels of apoptosis. These data suggest that overexpression of Cox-2 is associated with tumorigenesis in the gastrointestinal epithelium, and that both are inhibited by sulindac administration.

Leptospirosis is a neglected zoonosis of global importance with a complex epidemiology that affects humans, domestic and wild mammals. However, due to the diversity of clinical signs and difficulties of establishing a confirmatory laboratory diagnosis, the disease remains poorly investigated, particularly in the developing world. In Morocco, a descriptive study of the seroprevalence of Leptospira infection in animals has never been undertaken. To fill this gap, the current study was conducted on a subset of animals in north-west Morocco as a preliminary step towards understanding the epidemiological patterns of animal leptospirosis in the country. The study was conducted on 289 serum samples collected between January and April 2012 from dogs, cattle, sheep, goats and donkeys in the areas of Rabat-Temara, Sidi Kacem and Oulmes. All serum samples were tested by the MAT with 14 reference strains of the most prevalent pathogenic serovars of Leptospira and two serovars of non-pathogenic Leptospira. The overall seroprevalence of Leptospira in cattle, sheep, goats, dogs and donkeys was 15%, 18%, 20%, 21% and 20%, respectively. The most prevalent serogroups found in each species were Ballum, Sejroe, and Australis in cattle, Ballum, Australis and Sejroe in sheep, Australis and Ballum in goats, Javanica and Australis in donkey and Australis, Ballum and Canicola in dogs. Of all the serogroups tested in this study, Icterohaemorrhagiae, the only serogroup which has been previously reported in humans in Morocco, was rarely reactive. The majority of reactive sera were collected from low land areas. A large number of sera samples classified as seronegative when tested against pathogenic leptospires were positive when tested against non-pathogenic leptospires; this is suggestive of possible novel, as yet unclassified, Leptospira serovars in Morocco. Eleven of thirteen sheep urine samples were positive by real-time PCR confirming their role as Leptospira carriers in Morocco.

A Phase I dose-escalation study using 90Y-CYT-356 monoclonal antibody was performed in 12 patients with hormone-refractory prostate carcinoma. Biodistribution studies using 111In-CYT-356 were performed 1 week before 90Y-CYT-356 administration. Of the 12 patients, 58% had at least one site of disease imaged after administration of 111In-CYT-356. The dose of 90Y ranged from 1.83-12 mCi/m2. Both 111In and 90Y-CYT-356 were tolerated well, without significant nonhematological toxicity. Myelosuppression was the dose-limiting toxicity and occurred at dose levels of 4.5-12 mCi/m2. A Phase I/II dose escalation study of 90Y-murine anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody (mAb) in patients with recurrent B-cell lymphoma was performed. The primary objectives of the study were: (a) to determine the effect of the preinfusion of unlabeled anti-CD20 mAb on the biodistribution of 111In-anti-CD20 mAb; (b) to determine the maximal tolerated dose of 90Y-anti-CD20 mAb that does not require bone marrow transplantation; and (c) to evaluate the safety and antitumor effect of 90Y-anti-CD20 mAb in patients with recurrent B-cell lymphoma. Eighteen patients with relapsed low- or intermediate-grade non-Hodgkin's lymphoma were treated. Biodistribution studies with 111In-anti-CD20 mAb were performed prior to therapy. Groups of three or four patients were treated at dose levels of approximately 13.5, 20, 30, 40, and 50 mCi 90Y-anti-CD20 mAb. Three patients were retreated at the 40-mCi dose level. The use of unlabeled antibody affected the biodistribution favorably. Nonhematological toxicity was minimal. The only significant toxicity was myelosuppression. The overall response rate following a single dose of 90Y-anti-CD20 mAb therapy was 72%, with six complete responses and seven partial responses and freedom from progression of 3-29+ months following treatment. A Phase II study of yttrium-90-tetra-azacyclododecanetetra-acetic acid-biotin (90Y-DOTA-biotin) pretargeted by NR-LU-10 antibody/streptavidin (SA) was performed. The primary objectives of the study were to evaluate the efficacy and safety of this therapy in patients with metastatic colon cancer. Twenty-five patients were treated with a single dose of 110 mCi/m2 (mean administered dose, 106.5 +/- 10.3 mCi/m2) of 90Y-DOTA-biotin. There were three components of the therapy. Patients first received NR-LU-10/SA on day 1. A clearing agent (biotin-galactose-human serum albumin) was administered approximately 48 h after the NR-LU-10/SA to remove residual circulating unbound NR-LU-10/SA. Lastly, 24 h after administration of clearing agent, patients received biotin-DOTA-labeled with 110 mCi/m2 90Y. All three components of the therapy were administered i.v. Both hematological and nonhematological toxicities were observed. Diarrhea was the most frequent grade 4 nonhematological toxicity (16%; with 16% grade 3 diarrhea). Hematological toxicity was less severe with 8% grade 3 and 8% grade 4 neutropenia and 8% grade 3 and 16% grade 4 thrombocytopenia. The overall response rate was 8%. Two partial responders had freedom from progression of 16 weeks. Four patients (16%) had stable disease with freedom from progression of 10-20 weeks. Despite the relatively disappointing results of this study in terms of therapeutic efficacy and toxicity, proof of principle was obtained for the pretargeting approach. In addition, valuable new information was obtained about normal tissue tolerance to low-dose-rate irradiation that will help to provide useful guidelines for future study designs.

BACKGROUND: Leptospirosis is a widespread zoonotic disease characterised by headache and fever. These symptoms are often suggestive of meningitis, but only a proportion of patients have leptospiral meningitis. METHODS: We report episodes of leptospiral meningitis in patients admitted to a tertiary referral centre in the Netherlands, in whom lumbar puncture was performed, and conducted a literature search of adult cases of leptospiral meningitis to describe clinical characteristics and outcome. RESULTS: Between 2011 and 2014, 19 patients with leptospirosis were identified. Seven underwent a lumbar puncture for suspected meningitis (37%), of which six had been in contact with fresh water in a tropical area. Four patients with suspected meningitis (57%) had cerebrospinal fluid pleocytosis indicative of leptospiral meningitis and presented with headache, fever and neck stiffness. In a review of the literature we identified 366 patients with leptospiral meningitis with a median age of 33 years (range 17-77). Risk factors for leptospirosis were identified in 32 of 33 patients. Typical cerebrospinal fluid abnormalities consisted of a mildly elevated leukocyte count (median 206 leukocytes/mm3, range 6-2072) with a lymphocytic predominance (median 95%). Outcome was generally favourable, with a mortality rate of 3% and neurological sequelae in 5% of the survivors. CONCLUSION: Leptospirosis in the Netherlands has a low incidence. In the case of suspected meningitis and a history of visiting tropical areas or direct or indirect contact with animal urine, leptospiral meningitis should be considered. Cerebrospinal fluid examination is vital for the differential diagnosis of leptospirosis. Outcome is generally favourable in patients with leptospiral meningitis treated with antibiotics.

BACKGROUND: Weight restoration is a crucial element in the treatment of patients with anorexia nervosa. Therefore, the validity of different methods for measuring body composition is important. OBJECTIVE: We tested the concurrent validity of hydrodensitometry (underwater weighing) and anthropometry (12 skinfold thicknesses) and assessed body composition and subcutaneous fat before and after a refeeding program and a multifaceted program of therapy in a specialized inpatient unit for eating disorders. DESIGN: The body composition of a large sample of anorexia nervosa patients (97 restricting type, 33 binging-purging type) was studied by using 2 methods both before and after weight gain. We applied a behavioral contract for weight restoration with a minimum weekly gain of 700 g and a maximum of 3 kg. Bland-Altman analysis of agreement, Pearson correlation analysis, t tests, and analysis of covariance were used. RESULTS: There was good agreement between the results obtained by underwater weighing and by skinfold-thickness measurement (r = 0.76, P < 0.001); the results produced by the 2 methods did not differ significantly. On average, a significant weight gain (11.9 kg) was observed, composed of 6.6 kg fat and 5.3 kg fat-free mass. CONCLUSIONS: Body fat estimation by skinfold-thickness equation appeared to be as accurate as underwater weighing. The refeeding program led to a significant increase in body weight, of which 55.5% was body fat. The mean ratio of fat-free mass to fat mass at the end of the treatment was 3.4:1.

PURPOSE: To determine if either the hypoxic cell radiosensitizer etanidazole (SR 2508) or the hypoxic cytotoxin SR 4233 could improve the effectiveness of radioimmunotherapy. METHODS AND MATERIALS: LC4 (an IgG1 monoclonal antibody directed toward malignant T cells) and MB-1 (an irrelevant isotype-matched control antibody) were injected intraperitoneally into severe combined immunodeficient phenotype mice with human cutaneous T cell lymphoma xenografts in order to determine the distribution of the antibodies in the tumors and normal tissues as a function of time. Computerized-pO2-histography was used to measure the median oxygen tension in the tumors. Tumor-bearing mice were treated with: (a) LC4; (b) 90Y-LC4; (c) 90Y-MB-1; (d) whole body irradiation delivered via an external 137Cs source; (e) etanidazole and 90Y-LC4; (f) SR 4233 and 90Y-LC4; (g) etanidazole; and (h) SR 4233. An additional group of mice received no treatment and served as controls. A tumor growth delay assay was used to assess the effectiveness of the different treatment regimens. RESULTS: LC4 accumulated in the tumors to a significantly greater extent than MB-1 (p < 0.001) and reached a peak concentration in the tumors 5 days post-injection. The human cutaneous T cell lymphoma xenografts had a relatively low median oxygen tension. LC4 by itself was able to produce a minor decrease in tumor size (control vs. LC4; p = 0.001). 90Y-LC4 produced greater tumor growth delay than LC4 alone (LC4 vs. 90Y-LC4; p = 0.01); however, the Yttrium-90 caused neutropenia and weight loss. The 90Y-labeled tumor-specific and non-specific antibodies both exerted greater tumor growth delay than externally delivered whole body irradiation (p < or = 0.03) due to preferential uptake of the antibodies in the tumors. Etanidazole and SR 4233 by themselves did not significantly inhibit the growth of the tumors. Etanidazole did not significantly enhance the tumor growth delay produced by 90Y-LC4 (90Y-LC4 vs etanidazole and 90Y-LC4, p = 0.13). SR 4233, on the other hand, did enhance the tumor growth delay produced by 90Y-LC4 (90Y-LC4 vs. SR 4233 and 90Y-LC4, p = 0.046). The neutropenia and weight loss caused by 90Y-LC4 were exacerbated slightly (< 10%) by the administration of SR 4233. CONCLUSIONS: A first generation hypoxic cytotoxin, SR 4233, was able to enhance the tumor growth delay produced by radioimmunotherapy in severe combined immunodeficient phenotype mice with human cutaneous T cell lymphoma xenografts.
