RESUMO
Four pairs of novel dopamine enantiomer trimers, (±)-cryptamides A-D (1-4), and 10 pairs of previously described dopamine enantiomer dimers (5-14) were isolated from the Periostracum cicadae, the cast-off shell of the insect Cryptotympana pustulata. Aside from being pairs of enantiomers, the eight trimers were also elucidated to be regioisomers, most likely resulting from their mechanism of formation, [4 + 2] cycloaddition. The discovery of dopamine trimers is rarely reported when it comes to natural products derived from insects.

The interactions between a fluorescent molecular probe, i. e., [2-(p-hexylamino) phenyl-3, 3-dimethyl-5-ethoxycarbonyl-3H-indole] methyldioctadecylammonium iodide (A) and Triton X-100/heptane/hexanol/water reverse micelle have been investigated by spectroscopy. Micropolarity of the environment, fluorescence anisotropy parameter and the pH effect of A in Triton X-100 reverse micelle were determined. Furthermore, the state of water in reverse micellar systems was studied by FTIR. According to the above experimental results, some information on the structure of Triton X-100 reverse micelle was obtained and the probable site of A in this system was discussed.

Hydrothermal reactions of Na2[Mo2O4EDTA].5H2O and LnCl3.6H2O produce the chiral layered lanthanide molybdate oxides pillared by the chiral cluster ligand, [Ln(H2O)MoO4]2[lambda-Mo2O4EDTA] (Ln = Gd, 1; Eu, 2; Tb, 3; Y, 4). The tetradentate molybdate bridges Ln3+ to form a square grid structure, which is pillared by the chiral cluster ligand, [lambda-Mo2O4EDTA]2-, into a 3-D chiral framework structure. Strong VCD (vibrational circular dichroism) signals confirm the chirality of the bulk oxide materials. These bimetallic oxide materials are of highly thermal stability. The magnetic interactions between the Ln3+ ions in 1 and 3 are weak antiferromagnetic.
