RESUMEN

Electromagnetic protection in extreme environments requires materials with excellent thermal insulation capability and mechanical property to withstand severe temperature fluctuations and complex external stresses. Achieving strong electromagnetic wave absorption (EMA) while sustaining these exceptional properties remains a significant challenge. Herein, a facile approach is demonstrated to fabricate a biomimetic leaf-vein MXene/CNTs/PI (MCP) aerogel with parallel venations through bidirectional freeze-casting method. Due to its multi-arch lamellar structure and parallel venations within the aerogel layers, the ultralight MCP aerogel (16.9 mg·cm-3) achieves a minimum reflection loss (RLmin) of -75.8 dB and a maximum effective absorption bandwidth (EABmax) of 7.14 GHz with an absorber content of only 2.4 wt%, which also exhibits superelasticity and structural stability over a wide temperature range from -196 to 400 °C. Moreover, this unique structure facilitates rapid heat dissipation within the layers, while significantly impeding heat transfer between adjacent layers, achieving an ultralow thermal conductivity of 15.3 mW·m-1·K-1 for thermal superinsulation. The combination of excellent EMA performance, robust structural stability, and thermal superinsulation provides a potential design scheme under extreme conditions, especially in aerospace applications.

Jasmonic acid (JA) is involved in the modulation of defence and growth activities in plants. The best-characterized growth-defence trade-offs stem from antagonistic crosstalk among hormones. In this study, we first confirmed that JA negatively regulates root-knot nematode (RKN) susceptibility via the root exudates (REs) of tomato plants. Omics and toxicological analyses implied that kaempferol, a type of flavonol, from REs has a negative effect on RKN infection. We demonstrated that SlMYB57 negatively regulated kaempferol contents in tomato roots, whereas SlMYB108/112 had the opposite effect. We revealed that JA fine-tuned the homeostasis of kaempferol via SlMYB-mediated transcriptional regulation and the interaction between SlJAZs and SlMYBs, thus ensuring a balance between lateral root (LR) development and RKN susceptibility. Overall, this work provides novel insights into JA-modulated LR development and RKN susceptibility mechanisms and elucidates a trade-off model mediated by JA in plants encountering stress.

To meet the real-time path planning requirements of intelligent vehicles in dynamic traffic scenarios, a path planning and evaluation method is proposed in this paper. Firstly, based on the B-spline algorithm and four-stage lane-changing theory, an obstacle avoidance path planning algorithm framework is constructed. Then, to obtain the optimal real-time path, a comprehensive real-time path evaluation mechanism that includes path safety, smoothness, and comfort is established. Finally, to verify the proposed approach, co-simulation and real vehicle testing are conducted. In the dynamic obstacle avoidance scenario simulation, the lateral acceleration, yaw angle, yaw rate, and roll angle fluctuation ranges of the ego-vehicle are ±2.39 m/s2, ±13.31°, ±13.26°/s, and ±0.938°, respectively. The results show that the proposed algorithm can generate real-time, available obstacle avoidance paths. And the proposed evaluation mechanism can find the optimal path for the current scenario.

This work reports a bioinspired anisotropic nanocomposite by polar solution assisted mechanical stretching method, consisting of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and silicon carbide nanowires (SiCNWs) with aligned morphology in one direction. Inspired by the structural mimicry of myofibers, in which the uniaxial mechanical property of materials can be improved evidently, highly-aligned SiCNWs and PVA chains that interact using intermolecular force can be obtained. Hysteresis is observed and reversible deformation occurs while tensile-relaxation cycles are applied to the 100% stretched SiCNWs/PVA nanocomposites. The nanocomposites exhibit excellent properties and the tensile strength of 100% stretched SiCNWs/PVA nanocomposites is 188.30 ± 4.2 MPa and elastic modulus is 6.95 GPa, which are increased by 421.90% and 581.37% compared with pure PVA. Finite element simulation of fracture mechanism shows good agreement with the experimental results. An improvement of thermal conductivity is also achieved in well-aligned SiCNWs/PVA. The work imitates the structure of mammal muscle and also has great potential for the macroscopic application of one-dimensional nanomaterials as super flexible heat dissipation materials.

Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3), the most common subtype of SCA worldwide, is caused by mutation of CAG repeats expansion in ATXN3. Body mass index (BMI) is an important modulatory factor in the progression of neurodegenerative disorders such as Huntington disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. However, its relevance in SCA3 is not well understood. In this study, BMI was investigated in 134 molecularly confirmed SCA3 patients and 136 healthy controls from China. The multivariable linear regression models were performed to establish the putative risk factors for BMI, and whether BMI could affect the severity of ataxia. We found that BMI was significantly lower in the case group than that in the control group. The age at onset (positive correlation) and severity of ataxia (negative correlation) were the risk factors affecting BMI. Conversely, BMI along with the disease duration, the age at onset, and the numbers of CAG repeats could also have influence on the severity of ataxia. In conclusion, SCA3 patients had lower BMI than matched controls and BMI is a predictor of disease progression in SCA3. Nutritional intervention to promote weight gain could be a promising strategy to impede SCA3 progression.

BACKGROUND: Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3), which is the most common subtype of SCA worldwide, exhibits common neuropsychological symptoms such as depression. However, the contribution of depression to the severity of SCA3 has not yet been thoroughly investigated. METHODS: The present study investigated the prevalence of depression using Beck depression inventory in 104 molecularly confirmed SCA3 patients from China. The putative risk factors for depression and whether the depression could affect the severity of ataxia were established by multivariable linear regression models. RESULTS: The frequency of depression in the study subjects was 57.69% (60/104), which was higher than that in SCA3 patients from a subset of other populations. The gender (p = 0.03) and severity (p < 0.01) of ataxia were those risk factors that could affect depression. Conversely, depression (p < 0.01) together with the duration (p < 0.01) of SCA3 could also play a positive role in the severity of ataxia. CONCLUSIONS: The extremely common depression results from motor disability caused by ataxia; it also affects the disease severity of SCA3. These findings suggested that depression was a part of neurodegeneration in SCA3 and necessitated intensive focus and interventions while caring for SCA3 patients.

The mechanisms modulating the cancer stem cell (CSC) properties of triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells were not fully understood. In this study, we performed data mining in Breast Cancer Gene-Expression Miner v4.0 and found that TNBC tumors had significantly higher NES mRNA expression than other breast cancer subtypes. Pooled data suggested that NES mRNA expression is associated worse metastatic relapse (MR) free survival and also worse any event (AE) free survival in TNBC patients. Following data mining in multiple big data databases confirmed a positive correlation between SOX10 mRNA expression and NES mRNA expression in breast cancer tissues. In addition, the expression of SOX10 mRNA is significantly higher in TNBC tissues than in other breast cancer subtypes. SOX10 overexpression resulted in Nestin upregulation at both mRNA and protein levels. Bioinformatic analysis predicted a SOX10 binding site in NES promoter and the following dual luciferase assay verified the binding site. Functionally, SOX10 overexpression substantially increased CSC properties of TNBC cells, while SOX10 knockdown decreased the CSC properties, in terms of CD24-/CD44+ cell ratio and tumorsphere-forming capabilities. Enforced Nestin expression partly counteracted the effect of SOX10 knockdown on reducing the CSC properties. Based on these findings, we infer that SOX10 regulates cancer stem cell properties of TNBC cells via inducing Nestin expression.

OBJECTIVE: This trial was performed to examine the effects of ruminally degradable starch (RDS) levels in total mixed ration (TMR) with low corn-based starch on the milk production, whole-tract nutrient digestibility and nitrogen balance in dairy cows. METHODS: Eight multiparous Holstein cows (body weight [BW]: 717±63 kg; days in milk [DIM]: 169±29) were assigned to a crossover design with two dietary treatments: a diet containing 62.3% ruminally degradable starch (% of total starch, low RDS) or 72.1% ruminally degradable starch (% of total starch, high RDS). Changes to the ruminally degradable levels were conducted by using either finely ground corn or steam-flaked corn as the starch component. RESULTS: The results showed that dry matter intake, milk yield and composition in dairy cows were not affected by dietary treatments. The concentration of milk urea nitrogen was lower for cows fed high RDS TMR than low RDS TMR. The whole-tract apparent digestibility of neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber and crude protein decreased, and that of starch increased for cows fed high RDS TMR over those fed low RDS TMR, with no dietary effect on the whole-tract apparent digestibility of dry matter and organic matter. The proportion of urinary N excretion in N intake was lower and that of fecal N excretion in N intake was higher for cows fed high RDS TMR than those fed low RDS TMR. The N secretion in milk and the retention of N were not influenced by the dietary treatments. Total purine derivative was similar in cows fed high RDS TMR and low RDS TMR. Consequently, estimated microbial N flow to the duodenum was similar in cows fed high RDS TMR and low RDS TMR. CONCLUSION: Results of this study show that ruminally degradable starch levels can influence whole-tract nutrient digestibility and nitrogen balance in dairy cows fed low corn-based starch diets, with no influence on performance.

Lung cancer, predominantly by non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths over the world. Late diagnosis is one of important reasons for high mortality rate in lung cancer. Current diagnostic approaches have disadvantages such as low accuracy, high cost, invasive procedure, etc. MicroRNAs were previously proposed as promising novel biomarkers in cancer screening. In this study, we evaluated the predictive power of four candidate miRNAs in NSCLC detection. Our study involved 152 NSCLC patients and 300 healthy controls. Blood samples were obtained from the total 452 subjects. After miRNA extraction from serum, the expression of miRNAs in cases and controls were quantified by qRT-PCR and normalized to the level of U6 small RNA. Statistical analyses were performed to compare miRNA levels between cases and controls. Stratified analyses were employed to compare miRNA levels in NSCLC patients with different clinical characteristics. Serum miR-148a, miR-148b, and miR-152 were significantly downregulated in NSCLC patients. However, overexpression of serum miR-21 was observed in NSCLC patients. The combination of four candidate miRNAs exhibited the highest predictive accuracy in NSCLC screening compared with individual miRNAs (AUC = 0.97). Low level of miRNA-148/152 members may associate with advanced stage, large tumor size, malignant cell differentiation, and metastasis. High expression of miR-21 was possibly correlated with large size tumor and advanced cancer stage. Our results showed the dysregulation of miR-148/152 family and miR-21 in NSCLC patients. Hence, the four candidate miRNAs have great potential to serve as promising novel biomarkers in NSCLC screening. Further large-scale studies are needed to validate our results.

Increasing evidence indicates that the Eph receptors and their ephrin ligands are involved in the regulation of interactions between neurons and astrocytes. Moreover, astrocytic ephrin-A3 reverse signaling mediated by EphA4 receptors is necessary for controlling the abundance of glial glutamate transporters. However, the role of ephrin-A3 reverse signaling in astrocytic function and neuronal death under ischemic conditions remains unclear. In the present study, we found that the EphA4 receptor and its ephrin-A3 ligand, which were distributed in neurons and astrocytes, respectively, in the hippocampus showed a coincident up-regulation of protein expression in the early stage of ischemia. Application of clustered EphA4 decreased the expressions of astrocytic glutamate transporters together with astrocytic glutamate uptake capacity through activating ephrin-A3 reverse signaling. In consequence, neuronal loss was aggravated in the CA1 region of the hippocampus accompanied by impaired hippocampus-dependent spatial memory when clustered EphA4 treatment was administered prior to transient global ischemia. These findings indicate that EphA4-mediated ephrin-A3 reverse signaling is a crucial mechanism for astrocytes to control glial glutamate transporters and prevent glutamate excitotoxicity under pathological conditions. Astrocytic ephrin-A3 reverse signaling mediated by EphA4 receptor is necessary for controlling the abundance of glial glutamate transporters under physiological conditions. However, the role of ephrin-A3 reverse signaling in astrocytic function and neuronal death under ischemic conditions remains unclear. We found EphA4-mediated ephrin-A3 reverse signaling to be a crucial mechanism for astrocytes to control glial glutamate transporters and protect hippocampal neurons from glutamate excitotoxicity under ischemic conditions, this cascade representing a potential therapeutic target for stroke.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the effects of autotransplantation of NT-3 gene modified olfactory ensheathing cell (OEC) and neural stem cell (NSC) complex adhering to collagen protein-heparin sulfate scaffold on motor function of rats with cerebral hemorrhage. METHODS: The cerebral hemorrhage model was established with caudate nucleus bleeding in Wistar rats. The animals were randomly divided into 4 groups: A (transplantation of NT-3 modified OEC-NSC complex adhering to scaffold), B (transplantation of NT-3 modified OEC-NSC complex), C (transplantation of scaffold) and D (blank control group). The motor function of hind limbs was assessed at Day 1, 3, 7, 14 and 30 post-transplantation respectively. The survival, distribution and differentiation of transplanted cells were tested by immunohistochemistry and fluorescent staining. RESULTS: The neurological functional score of group A (2.12 ± 0.12, 1.50 ± 0.11, 0.52 ± 0.08) or B (2.10 ± 0.16, 1.79 ± 0.09, 0.91 ± 0.10) was obviously inferior to group C/D at Days 7, 14 and 30. No significant difference existed between groups C and D (P > 0.05) . The scores of A were markedly lower than those of B at Days 14 and 30 (P < 0.05, P < 0.01) . The numbers of surviving NSCs and cells migrating to focal area after transplantation was much more in group A than those in other groups. CONCLUSION: Autotransplantation of NT-3 gene modified OEC-NSC complex adhering to collagen protein-heparin sulfate scaffold may markedly ameliorate the motor function of cerebral hemorrhagic in rats. And the transplanted NSCs have better capacities of survival, migration and differentiation.

OBJECTIVE: To demonstrate the feasibility of extralevator abdominoperineal excision (ELAPE) for locally advanced low cancer in China. METHODS: A prospective multicenter clinical trial was carried out by 7 general hospitals across China from August 2008 to October 2011. A total of 102 patients underwent ELAPE for primary locally advanced low rectal cancer. There were 60 male and 42 female patients. The patients' characteristics, complications and prognosis were recorded. RESULTS: All patients underwent the ELAPE procedure successfully. The median operating time was 180 minutes (range 110-495 minutes) and median intraoperative blood loss was 200 ml (range 50-1000 ml). The rates of sexual dysfunction, perineal complications, urinary retention, and chronic perineal pain were 40.5%, 23.5%, 18.6% and 13.7%, respectively. Chronic perineal pain was associated with coccygectomy (12 months postoperatively, t = 8.06, P < 0.01), and the pain might gradually ease over time. Reconstruction of pelvic floor with biologic mesh was associated with lower rate of perineal dehiscence (χ(2) = 13.502, P = 0.006) and overall perineal wound complications (χ(2) = 5.836, P = 0.016) compared with primary closure. A positive circumferential margin (CRM) was demonstrated in 6 (5.9%) patients, and intraoperative perforations occurred in 4 (3.9%) patients. All CRM involvement and intraoperative perforation located at anteriorly and anterolaterally. The local recurrence was 4.9% at a median follow-up of 35 months (range, 18-58 months). CONCLUSIONS: ELAPE performed in the prone position for low rectal cancer leads to a reduction in CRM involvement, intraoperative perforations, and local recurrence, but it might result in a little high rate of perineal wound related complications. Reconstruction of pelvic floor with biologic mesh might lower the rate of perineal wound complications.

Hollow vesicles are promising in water treatment due to their unique structure of the membrane and inner cavity. However, the adsorption capacity needs to be improved for targeted pollutants. Herein, millimeter-scale hollow vesicles were prepared with a one-step process of sequential stirring and grafting using chitosan, diallyldimethylammonium chloride, and sodium alginate as raw materials with the purpose of efficient removal of anionic dyes from wastewater. The composite vesicles were characterized using scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction. The hollow vesicles showed the structure of the cationic membrane and the inner cavity, facilitating the dye adsorption. The adsorption capacity for the anionic dye Reactive Black 5 reached 698.1 mg/g, more than twice that of the binary composite vesicles without graft. The adsorption kinetics and isotherm data coincided with the pseudo-second-order and Langmuir models, respectively, and the adsorption mechanism was monolayer chemisorption. Moreover, the vesicles worked well in wide ranges of environment pH, temperature, and co-existing pollutants. They also possessed excellent cyclic regeneration performance, in which 93 % of the initial adsorption capacity was maintained after four cycles. These results indicate that the millimeter-scale hollow vesicles exhibit broad application prospects for wastewater purification.

The bulk photovoltaic effect (BPVE) in non-centrosymmetric materials has attracted significant attention in recent years due to its potential to surpass the Shockley-Queisser limit. Although these materials are strictly constrained by symmetry, progress has been made in artificially reducing symmetry to stimulate BPVE in wider systems. However, the complexity of these techniques has hindered their practical implementation. In this study, we demonstrate a large intrinsic photocurrent response in centrosymmetric topological insulator Ag2Te, attributed to the surface photogalvanic effect (SPGE), which is induced by symmetry reduction of the surface. Through diverse spatially-resolved measurements on specially designed devices, we directly observe that SPGE in Ag2Te arises from the difference between two opposite photocurrent flows generated from the top and bottom surfaces. Acting as an efficient SPGE material, Ag2Te demonstrates robust performance across a wide spectral range from visible to mid-infrared, making it promising for applications in solar cells and mid-infrared detectors. More importantly, SPGE generated on low-symmetric surfaces can potentially be found in various systems, thereby inspiring a broader range of choices for photovoltaic materials.

Ischemic stroke is the main reason of disability and mortality in many countries, and currently has limited treatments. The post-stroke inflammation characterized with microglia activation and polarization has been regarded as a promising therapeutic target for ischemic stroke. After ischemia, the activated microglia polarize to classical (M1) phenotype or alternative (M2) phenotype and exhibit biphasic function. Promoting microglia phenotype shift from deleterious M1 phenotype to neuroprotective M2 phenotype will be promising in stroke treatment. Increasing evidence indicates that the erythropoietin-producing human hepatocellular (Eph) receptor A4 (EphA4), a kind of abundant Eph receptor, distributes mainly in neuron and participates in multiple links of pathological changes after ischemia. This paper discussed the hypothesis that EphA4 receptor could affect ischemic brain injury through EphA4/ephrin bidirectional signaling between neuron and microglia, and then explored its underlying mechanisms. We manipulated EphA4/ephrin signaling with either EphA4 overexpression lentiviral vectors or the short hairpin RNA (shRNA) to upregulate or knock down neuronal EphA4 expression. NF-κB inhibitor pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate ammonium salt (PDTC) was applied to block NF-κB pathway. According to the experimental results, upregulated neuronal EphA4 induced by ischemia deteriorated neurological function as well as brain damage by shifting microglia M1-polarization via promoting NF-κB signaling.

The custom design of lightweight cellular materials is widely concerned due to effectively improved mechanical properties and functional applications. However, the strength attenuation and brittleness behavior hinder honeycomb structure design for the ceramic monolith. Herein, the ceramic matrix composite metamaterial (CCM) with a negative Poisson's ratio and high specific strength, exhibiting superelasticity, stability, and high compressive strength, is customized by combining centripetal freeze-casting and hierarchical structures. CCM maintains a negative Poisson's ratio response under compression with the lowest value reaching -0.16, and the relationship between CCM's specific modulus and density is E ∼ ρ1.3, which indicates the mechanical metamaterial characteristic of high specific strength. In addition to the extraordinary mechanical performance endowed by hierarchical structures, the CCM exhibits excellent thermal insulation and electromagnetic interference shielding properties, in which the thermal conductivity is 30.62 mW·m-1·K-1 and the electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding efficiency (SE) reaches 40 dB at room temperature. The specific EMI shielding efficiency divided by thickness (SSE/t) of CCM can reach 9416 dB·cm2·g-1 at 700 °C due to its stability at elevated temperatures, which is 100 times higher than that of traditional ceramic matrix composites. Moreover, the designed hierarchical structure and metamaterial properties provide a potential scheme to implement cellular materials with collaborative optimization in structure and function.

OBJECTIVE: Anterior commissure (AC) involvement is an unfavorable factor for transoral laser microsurgery (TLM) treatment of early glottic carcinoma (EGC). This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of TLM treatment for EGC with AC involvement. METHODS: From 2008 to 2017, 177 patients with T1-T2 EGC with AC involvement were retrospectively included and divided into the TLM group (n=115) receiving CO2 laser TLM and the control group undergoing open surgery (n=62). The survival outcomes, postoperative complications, laryngeal preservation rate, recurrence and the phonological results were compared between groups. RESULT: The TLM group had significantly reduced hospital stay, hospitalization costs, and intraoperative blood loss as compared with the control group. The tracheotomy rate was significantly higher in the control group (96.8% vs. 0%). The 5-year overall survival (OS) was 89.6% and 85.5% in the TLM group and control group, respectively. Log-rank test showed no difference in survival rate between the two groups. There was no significant difference in laryngeal preservation rate and overall recurrence rate between groups. In postoperative vocal function evaluation, there were significant differences in the overall grade (G), the roughness (R), the breathiness (B), Voice Handicap Index-10 (VHI-10), Jitter, Shimmer, noise/harmonic ratio (NHR), maximum phonation time (MPT), phonation threshold pressure (PTP) between the two groups. CONCLUSION: For EGC with AC involvement, TLM has similar survival outcomes with the open surgery, but has better postoperative voice outcomes. Meanwhile, TLM can effectively reduce intraoperative blood loss, hospitalization time, hospitalization costs and postoperative complications.

Objective:To translate the University of Rhode Island Change Assessment of voice scale(URICA-Voice) into Chinese and test its reliability and validity. Methods:The URICA-Voice scale was converted into Chinese by literal translation, cultural adjustment, expert consultation, pre-investigation, and back translation. Convenience sampling was used to recruit patients at four speech therapy centers from February to May 2022. Then the Chinese version of the scale was distributed to them, and the reliability and validity of the scale were tested after data collection. Cronbach ɑ was used to evaluate the reliability. The critical ratio method and Pearson correlation coefficient were used for item analysis. Item-level content validity, scale-level content validity, and confirmatory factor analysis were used to test the validity of the scale. Results:A total of 247 valid questionnaires were collected. ①Item analysis: the critical ratios between a high-score and low-score groups of 32 items were all statistically significant(P<0.01) and all the critical ratios were above 3.00. The Pearson correlation between 32 items and the total score was significant(P<0.01). ②Validity analysis: I-CVI=1.00, S-CVI/Ave=1.00, χ²/df=2.30, RMSEA=0.07. Except for item 9 and 23, the standardized factor loading coefficients of other items were all above 0.50. AVE of the four dimensions of the scale was all above 0.50, and the combined reliability of the four dimensions was all above 0.70. The correlation coefficients between dimensions were less than the square root of the AVE of the dimension itself. ③Reliability analysis: the Cronbach ɑ of the whole scale was 0.94, and the Cronbach ɑ of the four dimensions were 0.88, 0.92, 0.94, and 0.88 respectively. Conclusion:The Chinese version of URICA-Voice has good reliability and validity, and can be used as a specific measurement tool for evaluating the compliance of voice training in China.

BACKGROUND: Patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) suffer from a high risk of developing Alzheimer's disease (AD). Cumulative evidence has demonstrated that the development of AD is a complex process that could be modulated by miRNAs. Here, we aimed to identify miRNAs involved in the pathway, and interrogate their ability to predict prognosis in patients with MCI. METHODS: We obtained the miRNA-seq profiles and the clinical characteristics of patients with MCI from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO). Cox regression analysis was used to construct a risk level model. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to assess the performance of the model for predicting prognosis. Combined with clinical characteristics, factors associated with prognosis were identified and a predictive prognosis nomogram was developed and validated. Through Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analysis, we evaluated molecular signatures for the candidate miRNAs. RESULTS: Our analysis identified 120 DEmiRNAs. The Cox regression analysis showed that two miRNAs could serve as risk factors for disease development. A risk level model was constructed. Age, apoe4, and risk level were associated with the prognosis. We developed a nomogram to predict disease progression. The calibration curve and concordance index (C-index) demonstrated the reliability of the nomogram. Functional enrichment analysis showed that these miRNAs were involved in regulating both cGMP-PKG and Sphingolipid signaling pathways. CONCLUSION: We have identified miRNAs associated with the development of MCI. These miRNAs could be used for early diagnosis and surveillance in patients with MCI, enabling prediction of the development of AD.
