RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: The Lederman Prenatal Self-Evaluation Questionnaire (PSEQ) is used to assess psychosocial adaptation to pregnancy, labor, childbirth, and maternity. The PSEQ is a tool used in various countries and has been translated into Portuguese; however, it needs to be validated in Brazil. This study aimed to analyze the validity and reliability of the PSEQ in Brazilian pregnant women. METHOD: This methodological validity study investigated internal consistency and reliability using Cronbach's alpha and intraclass correlation coefficients. Construct validity was assessed using Pearson's correlation between domains and confirmatory factor analysis. To assess concurrent validity, Pearson's correlation between the different domains of the PSEQ and Prenatal Psychosocial Profile-Portuguese Version (PPP-VP) was determined. The level of significance was set at 5%. RESULTS: This study included 399 pregnant women in the northeastern region of Brazil. The internal consistency and reliability of the total PSEQ score were high (Cronbach's alpha = 0.89; intraclass correlation coefficient = 0.95). Validity analysis showed positive and significant correlations between all PSEQ domains, ranging from 0.14 to 0.56. Confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated the following values of goodness of fit: RMSEA = 0.05, SRMR = 0.08, CFI = 0.61, χ2/df = 1.77. The discriminant and concurrent validities of the PSEQ were confirmed. CONCLUSIONS: The Portuguese version of the PSEQ has adequate psychometric properties and is a valid and reliable tool to evaluate psychosocial adaptation to pregnancy in Brazilian pregnant women.

RESUMEN

Actions aimed at health promotion and disease prevention must prioritize the entry point to the health system. In this sense, it is proposed that Community Therapy (CT) be inserted as a mental health care tool in Primary Care. The purpose of this study is to assess user satisfaction with CT in Primary Care. It is assessment, cross-sectional study with a representative sample of users of CT services in Primary Care in the municipality of João Pessoa, Paraiba, Brazil. Of the 198 interviewees, 165 (83.3%) of the sample reported that they were always respected, evidenced by aspects of respect and dignity; 109 (55.1%) individuals stated they were listened to, revealing internal consistency of 0.7187, and in turn, exhibiting the true validity of the user satisfaction construct with respect to CT. Thus, users displayed positive satisfaction, reflected by respect, dignity, receptiveness, resolution, listening and comprehension received at CT, where empathy is exhibited and mental suffering is relieved. Moreover, CT is an important mental health tool in primary care.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the perception of schoolchildren between 7-10 years of a public school in Natal-RN about healthy eating. METHOD: Descriptive study, with quantitative and qualitative approach by focus group interviews with 29 students whose average age was 8.8 years. The analysis was aided by IRAMUTEQ software and supported the concept of perception of Merleau-Ponty. RESULTS: Children's perception about healthy eating was associated with fresh foods and culinary preparations. We identified concepts acquired at school on the topic, as well as teachers criticizing the consumption of ultra-processed foods. There were reports of predilection for certain school meals and rejection of others. In addition, children have cited the presence of unhealthy foods served at school. Regarding the role of families, parents were cited in the role of guide for a healthy consumption at the same time they encouraged to consumption of processed foods at home or they provided money to buy them. Many children did not consume healthy foods, mainly fruits and vegetables because they consider unpalatable. CONCLUSION: The perception of children about healthy foods was influenced by school, family and media. Although they possessed sense of what would be a healthy feed, the pleasure in eating processed foods led to unhealthy practices. The findings show the need for a look magnified by the professionals involved in this role to stimulate and drive healthy practices.
