RESUMO

Quantum nonlocality is usually associated with entangled states by their violations of Bell-type inequalities. However, even unentangled systems, whose parts may have been prepared separately, can show nonlocal properties. In particular, a set of product states is said to exhibit "quantum nonlocality without entanglement" if the states are locally indistinguishable; i.e., it is not possible to optimally distinguish the states by any sequence of local operations and classical communication. Here, we present a stronger manifestation of this kind of nonlocality in multiparty systems through the notion of local irreducibility. A set of multiparty orthogonal quantum states is defined to be locally irreducible if it is not possible to locally eliminate one or more states from the set while preserving orthogonality of the postmeasurement states. Such a set, by definition, is locally indistinguishable, but we show that the converse does not always hold. We provide the first examples of orthogonal product bases on C^{d}⊗C^{d}⊗C^{d} for d=3, 4 that are locally irreducible in all bipartitions, where the construction for d=3 achieves the minimum dimension necessary for such product states to exist. The existence of such product bases implies that local implementation of a multiparty separable measurement may require entangled resources across all bipartitions.

RESUMO

Joint Gaussian measurements of two quantum systems are important for quantum communication between remote parties and are often used in continuous-variable teleportation or entanglement-swapping protocols. Many of the errors in real-world implementations can be modeled by independent Gaussian error channels acting prior to measurement. In this work we study independent single-mode Gaussian error channels on two modes A and B that take place prior to a joint Gaussian measurement. We determine the set of pairs of such channels that render all Gaussian measurements separable, and therefore unsuitable for entanglement swapping or teleportation of arbitrary input states. For example, if the error channels are loss with parameters lA,lB followed by added noise with parameters nA,nB then all Gaussian measurements are separable if and only if lA+lB+nA+nB≥1.

RESUMO

This review article provides an overview of using artificial intelligence (AI) in radiology. It discusses the advantages and limitations of ChatGPT, a large language model, for medical imaging diagnosis. ChatGPT has shown great promise in improving the accuracy and efficiency of radiological diagnoses by reducing interpretation variability and errors and improving workflow efficiency. However, there are also limitations, including the need for high-quality training data, ethical considerations, and further research and development to improve its performance and usability. Despite these challenges, ChatGPT has the potential to significantly impact radiology and medical imaging diagnosis. The review article highlights the need for continued research and development, coupled with ethical and regulatory considerations, to ensure that ChatGPT is used to its full potential in improving radiological diagnoses and patient care.

RESUMO

Inhalant abuse and whitener addiction are serious problems among adolescents that have significant consequences for physical and mental health, as well as for families, communities, and society as a whole. This review article discusses the causes and health consequences of inhalant abuse and whitener addiction among adolescents, as well as the challenges in addressing the problem. The paper also outlines strategies for addressing inhalant abuse and whitener addiction, including education and awareness campaigns; early intervention and treatment; collaboration between schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations; and support for families affected by inhalant abuse and addiction. The paper concludes with a call to action for policymakers, healthcare providers, and community members to prioritize and address inhalant abuse and whitener addiction among adolescents. By working together, we can help to prevent substance abuse and promote the health and well-being of our youth.
