RESUMO

One-dimensional nanowires have emerged as compelling ideal materials due to their characteristic structure, properties, and applications in nanodevices. Herein, based on experimental vdW-chain bulk crystals, a series of one-dimensional (1D) XVYVIZVII (X = As, Sb, Bi; Y = S, Se, Te; Z = Cl, Br, I) ternary nanowires are theoretically investigated. Such exfoliated 1D nanowires possess excellent stability and moderate band gaps (1.76-3.16 eV). The calculated electron mobilities were found to reach a magnitude of 102 cm2 V-1 s-1 and even up to 322.95 cm2 V-1 s-1 for 1D BiSeI nanowires, which are much larger than those of the previously reported 1D materials. Furthermore, the appropriate band edge alignments and considerable optical absorption endow 1D XVYVIZVII nanowires with prospective photocatalytic properties for water splitting. Notably, AsSI and AsSeI nanowires possess a unique non-centrosymmetric structure and exhibit promising 1D ferroelectricity. Large spontaneous polarization values, Ps, of 11.31 × 10-10 and 6.92 × 10-10 C m-1 are obtained for 1D AsSI and AsSeI nanowires, respectively, and such 1D ferroelectricity can be regulated by intra-chain strains. Our calculations not only broaden the family of 1D materials but also reveal their great potential applications in electronic, optoelectronic, and ferroelectric devices.

RESUMO

Intercropping technology and stabilizing materials are common remediation techniques for soils contaminated with heavy metals. This study investigated the feasibility of the Gynostemma pentaphyllum (G. pentaphyllum)/Helianthus annuus L. (H. annuus) intercropping system on arsenic (As) contaminated farmland through field and pot experiments and the regulation of plant As absorption by the application of mixed stabilizing materials in this intercropping system. Field experiments demonstrated that intercropping with H. annuus increased the As concentration in G. pentaphyllum leaves to 1.79 mg kg-1 but still met the requirements of the national food standard of China (2 mg kg-1) (GB2762-2017). Meanwhile, G. pentaphyllum yield in the intercropping system decreased by 15.09%, but the difference was insignificant (P > 0.05). Additionally, the As bioconcentration (BCA) per H. annuus plant in the intercropping system was significantly higher than that in the monoculture system, increasing by 76.37% (P < 0.05). The pot experiment demonstrated that when granite powder, iron sulfate mineral, and "Weidikang" soil conditioner were applied to the soil collectively, G. pentaphyllum leaf As concentration in the intercropping system could be significantly reduced by 42.17%. Rhizosphere pH is the most crucial factor affecting As absorption by G. pentaphyllum in intercropping systems. When these three stabilizing materials were applied simultaneously, the As bioaccumulation (BCA) per H. annuus plant was significantly higher than that of normal intercropping treatment, which increased by 71.12% (P < 0.05), indicating that the application of these stabilizing materials significantly improved the As removal efficiency of the intercropping system. Dissolved organic carbon (DOC) concentration in the rhizosphere soil is the most pivotal factor affecting As absorption by H. annuus. In summary, the G. pentaphyllum-H. annuus intercropping model is worthy of being promoted in moderately As polluted farmland. The application of granite powder, iron sulfate mineral, and "Weidikang" soil conditioner collectively to the soil can effectively enhance the potential of this intercropping model to achieve "production while repairing" in the As polluted farmland.

RESUMO

Breaking atomic monogeneity of catalyst surfaces is promising for constructing synergistic active centers to cope with complex multi-step catalytic reactions. Here, we report a defect-derived strategy for creating surface phosphorous vacancies (P-vacancies) on nanometric Rh2 P electrocatalysts toward drastically boosted electrocatalysis for alkaline hydrogen oxidation reaction (HOR). This strategy disrupts the monogeneity and atomic regularity of the thermodynamically stable P-terminated surfaces. Density functional theory calculations initially verify that the competitive adsorption behavior of Had and OHad on perfect P-terminated Rh2 P{200} facets (p-Rh2 P) can be bypassed on defective Rh2 P{200} surfaces (d-Rh2 P). The P-vacancies enable the exposure of sub-surface Rh atoms to act as exclusive H adsorption sites. Therein, the Had cooperates with the OHad on the peripheral P-sites to effectively accelerate the alkaline HOR. Defective Rh2 P nanowires (d-Rh2 P NWs) and perfect Rh2 P nanocubes (p-Rh2 P NCs) are then elaborately synthesized to experimentally represent the d-Rh2 P and p-Rh2 P catalytic surfaces. As expected, the P-vacancy-enriched d-Rh2 P NWs catalyst exhibits extremely high catalytic activity and outstanding CO tolerance for alkaline HOR electrocatalysis, attaining 5.7 and 14.3 times mass activity that of p-Rh2 P NCs and commercial Pt/C, respectively. This work sheds light on breaking the surface atomic monogeneity for the development of efficient heterogeneous catalysts.

RESUMO

Mammary gland development primarily occurs postnatally, and this unique process is complex and regulated by systemic hormones and local growth factors. The mammary gland is also a highly dynamic organ that undergoes profound changes at puberty and during the reproductive cycle. These changes are driven by mammary stem cells (MaSCs). Breast cancer is one of the most common causes of cancer-related death in women. Cancer stem cells (CSCs) play prominent roles in tumor initiation, drug resistance, tumor recurrence, and metastasis. The highly conserved Notch signaling pathway functions as a key regulator of the niche mediating mammary organogenesis and breast neoplasia. In this review, we discuss mechanisms by which Notch contributes to breast carcinoma pathology and suggest potentials for therapeutic targeting of Notch in breast cancer. In summary, we provide a comprehensive overview of Notch functions in regulating MaSCs, mammary development, and breast cancer.

RESUMO

Due to their broken out-of-plane inversion symmetry, Janus two-dimensional (2D) materials exhibit some exceptional and interesting physical properties and have recently attracted increasing attention. Herein, based on first-principles calculations, we propose a series of Janus 2D titanium nitride halide TiNX0.5Y0.5 (X, Y = F, Cl, or Br, and X ≠ Y) monolayers constructed from 2D ternary compounds TiNX (X = F, Cl, or Br), where the halogen atoms X or Y are located on each side of the monolayer, respectively. Our calculations confirm that the Janus monolayers are both dynamically and thermally stable. As compared with those of perfect TiNX monolayers, the band-structure changes of Janus TiNX0.5Y0.5 monolayers are very limited and the corresponding bandgaps only increase by about 0.1-0.2 eV. Meanwhile, the Janus TiNX0.5Y0.5 monolayers show remarkable out-of-plane piezoelectricity by virtue of their broken centrosymmetry. The calculated out-of-plane piezoelectric coefficient d31 is as high as 0.34 pm V-1, which is larger than those of most 2D piezoelectric materials reported previously. In addition, it is found that the formation of Janus structures could effectively improve the carrier mobility. The hole mobilities along the x-direction (y-direction) of Janus TiNF0.5Cl0.5 and TiNF0.5Br0.5 monolayers reach as high as 5402 (5118) and 5538 (4135) cm2 V-1 s-1 at 300 K, respectively, which is almost twice as large as those of perfect TiNX monolayers. The giant out-of-plane piezoelectricity and high carrier mobility of Janus TiNX0.5Y0.5 monolayers suggest that these novel 2D materials could be promising for applications in electronic and piezoelectric devices.

RESUMO

Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is one of the major causes of morbidity and mortality in the world. Ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury-induced cardiomyocytes death is the main obstacle that limits the heart function recovery of the AMI patients. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) generated by mitochondria is the main pathological stimulus of cardiomyocytes death during heart I/R injury process. Hence, to understand the underlying mechanism of cardioymocytes proliferation and apoptosis under oxidative stress is crucial for effective AMI therapy. In this study, we found that the expression of long non-coding RNA HOTAIR was significantly downregulated in H9c2 cells in response to oxidative stimuli. HOTAIR knockdown further attenuated H9c2 cells proliferation and accelerated H9c2 cells apoptosis in oxidative stress, while HOTAIR overexpression can protect H9c2 cells from oxidative stress-induced injury. Additionally, HOTAIR acted as a sponge for miR-125. MiR-125 inhibitors restored the H9c2 cells proliferation and migration potential after HOTAIR knockdown in oxidative stress. Meanwhile, MMP2 was identified as a target of miR-125. MMP2 knockdown blocked miR-125 inhibitors' protect effect on H9c2 cells in oxidative stress. Further study demonstrated that HOTAIR inhibition can aggravate oxidative stress-induced H9c2 cells injury through HOTAIR/miR-125/MMP2 axis. Our finding revealed a novel regulatory mechanism for cardiomyocytes proliferation and apoptosis under oxidative stress conditions, which provided a therapeutic approach for myocardium repair after AMI injury.

RESUMO

Excessive adiposity has long been proved to be associated with greater incidence and mortality of breast cancer in post-menopausal women. However, the effects and underlying mechanisms of human adipocytes on breast cancer cells remain largely unknown. In recent years, several reports have revealed the oncogenic role of long non-coding RNA PVT1 in breast cancer. Here, we aimed to investigate the role and underlying mechanisms of PVT1 in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells cultured with mature adipogenic medium. At first, we successfully induced adipogenic differentiation from human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells and collected the mature adipogenic medium to mimic excessive adiposity. Our results demonstrated that the mature adipogenic medium promoted the epithelial-mesenchymal transition, enhanced the cell viability and migration potential of TNBC cells. In addition, we proved that mature adipogenic medium affected the PVT1 expression and inhibition of the PVT1 disturbed the role of mature adipogenic medium in TNBC cells. Finally, we illustrated that repression of p21 restored the phenotype caused by PVT1 knockdown in TNBC cells treated with mature adipogenic medium. Taken together, our results demonstrated that PVT1 affected the role of mature adipogenic medium in TNBC cells via modulating p21 expression.

RESUMO

The role of metal organic framework (MOF) modified cathode in promoting long chain fatty acid (LCFA) methanation was identified in microbial electrolysis cell coupled anaerobic digestion (MEC-AD) system. The maximum methane production rate of MEC-AD-MOF achieved 49.8 ± 3.4 mL/d, which increased by 41 % compared to MEC-AD-C. The analysis of bio-cathode biofilm revealed that microbial activity, distribution, population, and protein secretion prompted by MOF cathode, which in turn led to an acceleration of electron transfer between the cathode and microbes. Specifically, the relative abundance of acetate-oxidizing bacterium (Mesotoga) in MEC-AD-MOF was 1.5-3.6 times higher than that in MEC-AD-C, with a co-metabolized enrichment of Methanobacterium. Moreover, MOF cathode reinforced LCFA methanation by raising the relative abundance of genes coded key enzymes involved in CO2-reducing pathway, and elevating the tolerance of microbes to LCFA inhibition. These results indicate that MOF can enhance biofilm construction in MEC-AD, thereby improving the treatment performance of lipid wastewater.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Autogenous arteriovenous fistula (AVF) is the preferred vascular access mode. However, the earliest possible time for AVF puncture and whether premature puncture affects the AVF patency rate remain unclear. METHODS: In this multicenter retrospective cohort study, adult uremic patients who underwent AVF surgery for the first time at Taizhou Hospital or Enze Hospital of Zhejiang Province between September 1, 2018 and August 31, 2021 were enrolled. All patients were followed up for 1 year after puncture, and the status of fistula establishment and puncture, subsequent patency, loss to follow-up, renal transplantation, conversion to peritoneal dialysis, abandonment of the fistula, and death, were recorded. RESULTS: A total of 465 patients with AVFs were included in this study, including 59 (12.7%) patients with fistulas that were cannulated within 30 days. In the early puncture group, the levels of serum creatinine and urea nitrogen were higher, while the levels of hemoglobin and albumin were lower, suggesting that these patients needed urgent dialysis. Furthermore, the rate of non-cuffed catheter use was higher, while the rate of cuffed catheter use was lower, and femoral vein puncture was preferred over internal jugular vein puncture. The mean duration of catheter indwelling was shorter in the early puncture group (19 vs 70 days, p < 0.001). The estimated AVF primary and cumulative functional patency at 12 months was 81.1% versus 82.3% and 98.3% versus 98.7% in the early puncture and control groups, respectively. Kaplan-Meier analysis revealed no significant difference in AVF primary and cumulative functional patency between the two groups. CONCLUSIONS: In patients with an established fistula in urgent need of hemodialysis, to avoid new catheterization, a puncture can be performed within 30 days in those with well-developed blood vessels after adequate ultrasound and clinical evaluation without affecting the patency of the fistula.

RESUMO

The exploitation of mineral resources is very important for economic development, but disorderly exploitation poses a serious threat to the ecological environment. However, investigations on the advantages of plant species and environmental pollution in polluted mining areas are limited. Thus, a survey was conducted to evaluate the impacts of abandoned mines on the surrounding ecological environment along rivers in polluted areas and to determine the Arsenic (As) pollution status in soil and plants. The results showed that the soil and vegetation along the river in the survey area were seriously polluted by As. The total As content of the 15 samples was significantly greater than the national soil background value (GB 15618-2018), and degree of pollution was nonlinearly related to the distance from the mine source, R2 = 0.9844. B. bipinnata, P. vittata and B. nivea were predominant with degrees of dominance of 0.01-0.33, 0.05-0.11, and 0.06-0.14 respectively. The As enrichment capacities of Juncus and P. vittata were significantly greater than those of the other plants, while the bioaccumulation factors (BCFs) were 21.81 and 7.04, respectively.

RESUMO

Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) caused by the PRRS virus (PRRSV) has been harming the pig industry worldwide for nearly 40 years. Although scientific researchers have made substantial efforts to explore PRRSV pathogenesis, the immune factors influencing PRRSV infection still need to be better understood. Infectious virus-antibody immune complexes (ICs) formed by PRRSV and sub-or non-neutralizing antibodies specific for PRRSV may significantly promote the development of PRRS by enhancing PRRSV replication through antibody-dependent enhancement. However, nothing is known about whether PRRSV infection is affected by non-infectious ICs (NICs) formed by non-pathogenic/infectious antigens and corresponding specific antibodies. Here, we found that PRRSV significantly induced the transcripts and proteins of interferon-α (IFN-α), IFN-ß, IFN-γ, IFN-λ1, and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in vitro primary porcine alveolar macrophages (PAMs) in the early stage of infection. Our results showed that NICs formed by rabbit-negative IgG (RNI) and pig anti-RNI specific IgG significantly reduced the transcripts and proteins of IFN-α, IFN-ß, IFN-γ, IFN-λ1, and TNF-α in vitro PAMs and significantly elevated the transcripts and proteins of interleukine-10 (IL-10) and transforming growth factor-ß1 (TGF-ß1) in vitro PAMs. NICs-mediated PRRSV infection showed that NICs not only significantly decreased the induction of IFN-α, IFN-ß, IFN-γ, IFN-λ1, and TNF-α by PRRSV but also significantly increased the induction of IL-10 and TGF-ß1 by PRRSV and considerably enhanced PRRSV replication in vitro PAMs. Our data suggested that NICs could downregulate the production of antiviral cytokines (IFN-α/ß/γ/λ1 and TNF-α) during PRRSV infection in vitro and facilitated PRRSV proliferation in its host cells by inhibiting innate antiviral immune response. This study elucidated one novel immune response to PRRSV infection, which would enhance our understanding of the pathogenesis of PRRSV.

RESUMO

Silver nanowire (AgNW) networks with self-assembled structures and synaptic connectivity have been recently reported for constructing neuromorphic memristors. However, resistive switching at the cross-point junctions of the network is unstable due to locally enhanced Joule heating and the Gibbs-Thomson effect, which poses an obstacle to the integration of threshold switching and memory function in the same AgNW memristor. Here, fragmented AgNW networks combined with Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs) and mercapto self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) are devised to construct memristors with stable threshold switching and memory behavior. In the above design, the planar gaps between NW segments are for resistive switching, the AgNPs act as metal islands in the gaps to reduce threshold voltage (Vth) and holding voltage (Vhold), and the SAMs suppress surface atom diffusion to avoid Oswald ripening of the AgNPs, which improves switching stability. The fragmented NW-NP/SAM memristors not only circumvent the side effects of conventional NW-stacked junctions to provide durable threshold switching at >Vth but also exhibit synaptic characteristics such as long-term potentiation at ultralow voltage (≪Vth). The combination of NW segments, nanoparticles, and SAMs blazes a new trail for integrating artificial neurons and synapses in AgNW network memristors.

RESUMO

Telocyte (TC) as a special stromal cell exists in mammary gland and might play an important role in the balance of epithelium-stroma of mammary gland. Considering that different types of breast interstitial cells influence the development and progression of breast cancer, TCs may have its distinct role in this process. We here studied the roles of TCs in the self-assembly of reconstituted breast cancer tissue. We co-cultured primary isolated TCs and other breast stromal cells with breast cancer EMT-6 cells in collagen/Matrigel scaffolds to reconstitute breast cancer tissue in vitro. Using histology methods, we investigated the immunohistochemical characteristics and potential functions of TCs in reconstituted breast cancer tissue. TCs in primary mammary gland stromal cells with long and thin overlapping cytoplasmic processes, expressed c-kit/CD117, CD34 and vimentin in reconstitute breast cancer tissue. The transmission electron microscopy showed that the telocyte-like cells closely communicated with breast cancer cells as well as other stromal cells, and might serve as a bridge that directly linked the adjacent cells through membrane-to-membrane contact. Compared with cancer tissue sheets of EMT-6 alone, PCNA proliferation index analysis and TUNEL assay showed that TCs and other breast stromal cells facilitated the formation of typical nest structure, promoted the proliferation of breast cancer cells, and inhibited their apoptosis. In conclusion, we successfully reconstituted breast cancer tissue in vitro, and it seems to be attractive that TCs had potential functions in self-assembly of EMT-6/stromal cells reconstituted breast cancer tissue.

RESUMO

In this study, a nanocomposite of LDH/graphene/polyaniline/gold (LDH/rGO/PANI/Au) was synthesized and characterized. The results of characterization showed that the composite material preserved the layered structure of LDH. The composite was dropped onto the glassy carbon electrode and laccase was then immobilized. Electrochemical tests showed that the composite could accelerate the electron transfer between the enzyme and the electrode. The composite/laccase showed an obvious response to rutin and the optimal detection conditions were discussed. The oxidative peak current of the biosensor constructed using the modified electrode was negatively correlated with rutin in the range of 0.05-4 µg/mL. The detection limit was 0.0017 µg/mL at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3. This biosensor of rutin also possessed high sensitivity, excellent anti-interference ability, and stability. The contents of rutin in tablets, first determined using HPLC, were also detected using the sensor constructed in this research as an application, and the results were acceptable. This research here provides a facile way for the fast detection of rutin in real samples.

RESUMO

This paper investigates the bond failure performance between precast normal concrete (NC) and cast-in situ ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC), emphasizing the influence of interfacial roughness. The interfacial bonding behavior under tension and under shear was investigated based on 72 groups of pull-off tests and 36 groups of bi-shear tests, considering six different interface treatment methods and two different NC strength levels. The results demonstrate that certain interfacial roughness is essential to gain a reliable bond connection between NC and UHPC. Its enhancement on the tensile bond performance could be described by the positive linear relationship between the mean roughness and the pull-off strength. However, further research is required to determine the characterization method of its influence on the shear bond performance. The higher strength of the base concrete is beneficial to the bond performance. Though this effect is evident in the pull-off tests under tension, the influence on the shear interfacial performance could be offset by that of the interface morphology in the case with high interfacial roughness.

RESUMO

Improving the ability of implants to integrate with natural bone tissue at the initial stage of implantation remains a huge challenge because bone-to-implant interfaces are often accompanied by abnormal microenvironments with infection, reactive oxygen species (ROS) and unbalanced bone homeostasis. In this study, a multifunctional coating was fabricated on the basis of gallium (III)-phenolic networks. It is easily obtained by immersing the implants into a mixed solution of tannic acids (TAs) and gallium ions. The thickness of the coating can be precisely controlled by adjusting the number and time of immersion experiments. The resulting coating displays excellent near-infrared photothermal property. As the coating degrades, TAs and gallium ions with low concentration are released from the coating, which is more rapid in acidic and oxidative stress microenvironments. Photothermal performance as well as released TAs and gallium ions give the coating outstanding broad-spectrum antibacterial ability. Furthermore, the coating effectively reduces intracellular ROS of osteoblasts. In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrate the capability of the coating enhancing implants' osseointegration via pro-osteogenesis and inhibiting osteoclastogenesis. The findings imply that gallium (III)-phenolic coating holds great promise to promote implant osseointegration by rescuing abnormal microenvironments of infection, oxidative stress and unbalanced bone homeostasis.

RESUMO

Selecting suitable agronomic measures can strengthen the application of intercropping in the remediation of cadmium (Cd)-contaminated soil. In this study, the effects of different planting densities and fertilizer applications on the crop growth and Cd absorption of a pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata)-Amaranthus hypochondriacus L. intercropping system was determined. The goal was to provide enhanced means and a scientific basis for the promotion and application of this intercropping system. The Cd content of pumpkin in different planting systems was lower than the national food safety standard (0.05 mg kg-1). In the IN-1 (4 pumpkin plants intercropped with 200 A. hypochondriacus plants) and IN-2 (4 pumpkin plants intercropped with 400 A. hypochondriacus plants) intercropping systems, the bioconcentration amount (BCA) per plant of Cd in A. hypochondriacus increased by 32.43% and 25.25%, respectively, compared with that of the monocropping system (P < 0.05). The IN-2 system had the highest equivalent ratio of heavy metal removal (3.08), indicating that this model had a substantial advantage for removing Cd. The land equivalent ratio of IN-1 (2.89) and IN-2 (2.60) was significantly higher than that of other intercropping systems, indicating that these two models had obvious yield advantages. In our study, chicken manure was the best at promoting the growth and yield of the two plants and sludge treatment significantly enhance Cd absorption of A. hypochondriacus. In general, intercropping four pumpkin plants with 400 A. hypochondriacus plants and applying chicken manure fertilizer can strengthen the application of this intercropping system in Cd-contaminated soil.

RESUMO

Continuous oxidative stress and cellular dysfunction caused by hyperglycemia are distinguishing features of diabetic wounds. It has been a great challenge to develop a smart dressing that can accelerate diabetic wound healing through regulating abnormal microenvironments. In this study, a platelet rich plasma (PRP) loaded multifunctional hydrogel with reactive oxygen species (ROS) and glucose dual-responsive property is reported. It can be conveniently prepared with PRP, dopamine (DA) grafted alginate (Alg-DA), and 6-aminobenzo[c][1,2]oxaborol-1(3H)-ol (ABO) conjugated hyaluronic acid (HA-ABO) through ionic crosslinks, hydrogen-bond interactions, and boronate ester bonds. The hydrogel possesses injectability, moldability, tissue adhesion, self-healing, low hemolysis, and hemostasis performances. Its excellent antioxidant property can create a low oxidative stress microenvironment for other biological events. Under an oxidative stress and/or hyperglycemia state, the hydrogel can degrade at an accelerated rate to release a variety of cytokines derived from activated blood platelets. The result is a series of positive changes that are favorable for diabetic wound healing, including fast anti-inflammation, activated macrophage polarization toward M2 phenotype, promoted migration and proliferation of fibroblasts, as well as expedited angiogenesis. This work provides an efficient strategy for chronic diabetic wound management and offers an alternative for developing a new-type PRP-based bioactive wound dressing.

RESUMO

Introduction: The Metagenomics next-generation sequencing (mNGS) and GeneXpert MTB/RIF assay (Xpert) exhibited a sensitivity for tuberculosis (TB) diagnostic performance. Research that directly compared the clinical performance of ddPCR analysis, mNGS, and Xpert in mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTB) infection has not been conducted. Methods: The study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic performance of ddPCR compared to mNGS and Xpert for the detection of MTB in multiple types of clinical samples. The final clinical diagnosis was used as the reference standard. Results: Out of 236 patients with suspected active TB infection, 217 underwent synchronous testing for tuberculosis using ddPCR, Xpert, and mNGS on direct clinical samples. During follow-up, 100 out of 217 participants were diagnosed with MTB infection. Compared to the clinical final diagnosis, ddPCR produced the highest sensitivity of 99% compared with mNGS (86%) and Xpert (64%) for all active MTB cases. Discussion: Twenty-two Xpert-negative samples were positive in mNGS tests, which confirmed the clinical diagnosis results from ddPCR and clinical manifestation, radiologic findings. Thirteen mNGS-negative samples were positive in ddPCR assays, which confirmed the clinical final diagnosis.ddPCR provides a higher sensitive compared to Xpert and mNGS for MTB diagnosis, as defined by the high concordance between ddPCR assay and clinical final diagnosis.
