RESUMO

The practical application of microsized anodes is hindered by severe volume changes and fast capacity fading. Herein, we propose a gradient composite strategy and fabricate a silicon suboxide-based composite anode (d-SiO@SiOx/C@C) consisting of a disproportionated microsized SiO inner core, a homogeneous composite SiOx/C interlayer (x ≈ 1.5), and a highly graphitized carbon outer layer. The robust SiOx/C interlayer can realize a gradient abatement of stress and simultaneously connect the inner SiO core and carbon outer layer through covalent bonds. As a result, d-SiO@SiOx/C@C delivers a specific capacity of 1023 mAh/g after 300 cycles at 1 A/g with a retention of >90% and an average Coulombic efficiency of >99.7%. A full cell assembled with a LiNi0.8Co0.15Al0.05O2 cathode displays a remarkable specific energy density of 569 Wh/kg based on total active materials as well as excellent cycling stability. Our strategy provides a promising alternative for designing structurally and electrochemically stable microsized anodes with high capacity.

We performed QM/MM simulations to investigate excess-electron attachment to four aqueous DNA nucleotide anions (dRT-). The negative QM/MM vertical electron affinities (-0.86 to -0.59 eV) reveal that aqueous dRT- anions improbably capture the excess electron near 0 eV. Comparing with the calculations in the gas phase and without the background charges, it can be found that first-shell water molecules have a larger contribution to the promotion of the ability of the excess-electron capture and the bulk-water polarization has a small effect on vertical electron affinities. The phosphate group hampers the attachment of the very low-energy excess electron to aqueous dRT-. The large adiabatic electron affinities (1.45-1.96 eV) and vertical detachment energies (1.92-2.44 eV) reveal that stable dRT2- dianions could be formed after dRT- anions catch the higher-energy excess electron (>0.59 eV). We computed the energy changes in the dRT2- structural relaxations. The QM-region conformational changes cause small energy alterations (-0.28 to 0.35 eV). The QM/MM energy decreases are 2.31-2.73 eV which mainly come from QM computations (3.49-4.00 eV) embedded in the background charges. The analysis of excess-electron distributions indicates that the polarization of bulk water and structural relaxations of dianions induce the excess-electron redistributions in the QM region and produce large QM-energy decreases. The MM energy changes are -1.27 to -1.11 eV for four aqueous dianions. The negative values demonstrate that the energy of the MM region would increase in dRT2- structural relaxations. In contrast with the values of the polarized QM computations, about 30% of the energy released by the QM region is transferred to bulk water in the MM region. The large energy dissipation probably suppresses DNA damage by the low-energy electron.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the technique and the clinical effect of folding roof and rotary pushing in treatment of children with distal radius and ulna fracture of "back to back". METHODS: From January 2012 to February 2014,38 children with distal radius and ulna fracture of "back to back" were treated by using the technique of folding roof and rotary pushing to reset and splint fixation including 23 males and 15 females with an average age of 9.5 years old ranging from 6 to 14 years old. Injury time was from 45 min to 3 days (averaged 1.3 days). All cases was unilateral closed fracture without symptoms of nerve injury occurred. The wrist joint anteroposterior and lateral radiographs showed double fracture of radius and ulna, and the broken end of radius was typical "back to back" displacement. The quality of reduction was assessed according to Dienst recommendation on the combination of Aro measurement, and the therapeutic effect was evaluated using standard of Anderson function. RESULTS: All patients were followed up from 3 to 13 months with an average of 6 months. There were no iatrogenic nerve injury. Thirty cases were treated successfully for the first time, 8 cases were again reset successfully; 28 cases were anatomical reduction, 7 cases were near anatomic reduction, 3 cases were functional reduction. At the second day 7 cases with hand and finger swelling appeared in multiple reset patients. Quality results of reduction were excellent in 33 cases, good in 5 cases. According to the standard of Anderson function evaluation, 35 cases were excellent, 3 cases were good. All fractures were healed with of deformity of wrist. CONCLUSION: Using the technique of folding roof and rotary pushing in treatment of children with distal radius and ulna fracture of "back to back" is very successful, the patient's limb function recovered well, the whole operation process is simple.
