RESUMO

In the operation of MEMS gyroscopes, the feedthrough signal is inevitably introduced through the feedthrough capacitance and significantly affects the performance of MEMS gyroscopes. The common feedthrough cancellation methods highly depend on the microfabrication process and the structural symmetry of MEMS gyroscopes, which cannot effectively eliminate the feedthrough signal. In order to solve this problem, a new feedthrough cancellation method based on a fully differential configuration is proposed in this paper. The influence of the feedthrough effect is analyzed by establishing an equivalent circuit model including the feedthrough capacitance and described by the admittance diagram. Different drive and detection configurations are compared for the problem of feedthrough mismatch on different paths. Based on the theoretical analysis, a fully differential feedthrough cancellation scheme combined with two inverse feedthrough cancellation circuits is proposed. The deviation of feedthrough signal caused by the asymmetry of two differential paths can be adjusted by the two inverse feedthrough cancellation circuits. The fully differential configuration can further increase the drive force and suppress the common mode errors. The experimental results indicate that the feedthrough signal is suppressed in a large degree by the designed feedthrough cancellation method. The feedthrough level is reduced by 50.53 dB, and the amplitude of the effective signal increases from 4.10 to 9.46 dB. The signal-to-noise ratio has an improvement of 212.48% than that before feedthrough cancellation. The proposed feedthrough cancellation method can significantly reduce the interference of feedthrough signals on the effective signal, effectively improving the signal quality of MEMS gyroscopes.

RESUMO

In this paper, we propose a novel, flower-like disk resonator (FDR). The structure is made up of concentrically meander-shaped rings that are interconnected by straight beams, which have the potential to provide lower resonant frequency, lower frequency split, higher quality factor (Q), and longer decay time (τ). In comparison to the traditional ring-like disk resonator (RDR), the FDR has better immunity to crystal orientation error and fabrication errors owing to its all-linear structure. The prototype of this design is manufactured by silicon on insulator fabrication technique. The frequency response test and quality factor test are implemented at room temperature and under vacuum (5 Pa) using a readout circuit with feed-through cancellation. The results show that the frequency split of the FDR is less than 7.7 Hz without electrostatic tuning. The Q and τ are 21 883 and 0.69 s, respectively. With the same structure parameters, the resonant frequency and frequency split are decreased by 39.1% and 70.2%, and the Q and τ are greatly improved by 63.8% and 172%, respectively, compared to the RDR.

RESUMO

A novel and simple method for the sensitive determination of trace amounts of nitrite in human urine and blood has been developed by combination of cloud point extraction (CPE) and microplate assay. The method is based on the Griess reaction and the reaction product is extracted into nonionic surfactant Triton-X114 using CPE technique. In this study, decolorization treatment of urine and blood was applied to overcome the interference of matrix and enhance the sensitivity of nitrite detection. Multi-sample can be simultaneously detected thanks to a 96-well microplate technique. The effects of different operating parameters such as type of decolorizing agent, concentration of surfactant (Triton X-114), addition of (NH4)2SO4, extraction temperature and time, interfering elements were studied and optimum conditions were obtained. Under the optimum conditions, a linear calibration graph was obtained in the range of 10-400 ng mL(-1) of nitrite with limit of detection (LOD) of 2.5 ng mL(-1). The relative standard deviation (RSD) for determination of 100 ng mL(-1) of nitrite was 2.80%. The proposed method was successfully applied for the determination of nitrite in the urine and blood samples with recoveries of 92.6-101.2%.
