RESUMO

PURPOSE: Somatostatin receptor (SSTR) imaging features are predictive of treatment outcome for neuroendocrine tumor (NET) patients receiving peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT). However, comprehensive (all metastatic lesions), longitudinal (temporal variation), and lesion-level measured features have never been explored. Such features allow for capturing the heterogeneity in disease response to treatment. Furthermore, models combining these features are lacking. In this work we evaluated the predictive power of comprehensive, longitudinal, lesion-level 68GA-SSTR-PET features combined with a multivariate linear regression (MLR) model. METHODS: This retrospective study enrolled NET patients treated with [177Lu]Lu-DOTA-TATE and imaged with [68Ga]Ga-DOTA-TATE at baseline and post-therapy. All lesions were segmented, anatomically labeled, and longitudinally matched. Lesion-level uptake and variation in uptake were measured. Patient-level features were engineered and selected for modeling of progression-free survival (PFS). The model was validated via concordance index, patient classification (ROC analysis), and survival analysis (Kaplan-Meier and Cox proportional hazards). The MLR was benchmarked against single feature predictions. RESULTS: Thirty-six NET patients were enrolled and stratified into poor and good responders (PFS ≥ 25 months). Four patient-level features were selected, the MLR concordance index was 0.826, and the AUC was 0.88 (0.85 specificity, 0.81 sensitivity). Survival analysis led to significant patient stratification (p<.001) and hazard ratio (3⨯10-5). Lastly, in a benchmark study, the MLR modeling approach outperformed all the single feature predictors. CONCLUSION: Comprehensive, lesion-level, longitudinal 68GA-SSTR-PET analysis, combined with MLR modeling, leads to excellent predictions of PRRT outcome in NET patients, outperforming non-comprehensive, patient-level, and single time-point feature predictions. Bone lesions have the capacity for regeneration under normal conditions of the bone metabolism process. However, due to the increasing incidence of major traumas and diseases that cause bone-mineral deficiency, such as osteoporosis, scaffolds are needed that can assist in the bone regeneration process. Currently, natural polymeric scaffolds and bioactive nanoparticles stand out. Therefore, the objective of the study was to evaluate the osteoregenerative potential in tibiae of healthy and ovariectomized rats using mineralized collagen and nanohydroxyapatite (nHA) scaffolds associated with elastin. The in-vivo experimental study was performed with 60 20-week-old Wistar rats, distributed into non-ovariectomized (NO) and ovariectomized (O) groups, as follows: Controls (G1-NO-C and G4-O-C); Collagen with nHA scaffold (G2-NO-MSH and G5-O-MSH); and Collagen with nHA and elastin scaffold (G3-NO-MSHC and G6-O-MSHC). The animals were euthanized 6 weeks after surgery and the samples were analyzed by macroscopy, radiology, and histomorphometry. ANOVA and Tukey tests were performed with a 95% CI and a significance index of p < 0.05. In the histological analyses, it was possible to observe new bone formed with an organized and compact morphology that was rich in osteocytes and with maturity characteristics. This is compatible with osteoconductivity in both matrices (MSH and MSHC) in rats with normal conditions of bone metabolism and with gonadal deficiency. Furthermore, they demonstrated superior osteogenic potential when compared to control groups. There was no significant difference in the rate of new bone formation between the scaffolds. Ovariectomy did not exacerbate the immune response but negatively influenced the bone-defect repair process.

Variations in physical and competitive performance of highly trained sprinters across an annual training season. J Strength Cond Res 37(5): 1104-1110, 2023-We assessed the changes in sprint, jump, and power parameters across the annual training cycle and tested the longitudinal correlations among these variables in top-level sprinters. Thirteen sprinters training with 4 different Olympic sprint coaches were sequentially assessed over 14 months, from January 2019 to March 2020, within 4 consecutive training camps. Performance tests were conducted as follows: standing long jump, squat and countermovement jumps, 10-m and 60-m sprint time, and maximum power output in the half-squat, jump-squat, and hip-thrust exercises. The competitive results of the sprinters throughout the study period were also recorded and analyzed. A repeated measures analysis of variance was used to compare the physical measurements between different testing sessions. A Pearson product-moment correlation was applied to examine the longitudinal relationships between changes in speed-related and power-related parameters. Percentage change was computed and compared with coefficient of variation values to determine whether changes in performance metrics were higher than the test variance, thus providing an indication of whether true changes occurred on an individual basis. Overall, sprinters did not exhibit significant changes in sprint speed, jumping ability, and power output. In addition, variations in competitive times (i.e., 100 m races) followed a similar pattern, within an average range of ±1.36%, for both male and female sprinters. As expected, top-level sprinters presented only small variations in physical and competitive performance over time. Nevertheless, the use of an individual statistical technique (i.e., true changes calculation) revealed that these nonsignificant increases or decreases may represent meaningful changes in their competitive potential.

River sediments have the capability to accumulate and absorb traces of anthropic environmental degradation. In this work, we investigated the effects of urban land use on the composition of physical sediment. For this purpose, sediment profiles were collected in the wet and dry seasons and in locations with mixed land-use. For the sediment analysis, particle size separation, organic matter degradation, visual analysis of the thickest fraction using a magnifying glass and stereomicroscope analysis of the particle size material corresponding to the sands were performed. It was observed that the sedimentation of synthetic materials and plastics (fragments and fibres) were the most frequently found materials. More intense urban occupation areas and with less riparian vegetation suffer more from this degradation than rural areas or areas with preserved riparian vegetation. The dam in the basin accumulates more materials (macro and microplastics) and has the role of containing and preventing these residues from being transported downstream. The importance of investing in environmental management measures is emphasized, and based on the sampled sites assessed, the restoration of riparian vegetation, greater inspection of inadequate waste disposal and public cleaning actions are suggested, including actions in the Tibiriçá dam.

Transference effect of short-term optimum power load training on the punching impact of elite boxers. J Strength Cond Res 35(9): 2373-2378, 2021-This study examined the changes in bench press (BP), jump squat (JS), and half-squat (HS) power outputs induced by a short-term (1 week) training scheme based on the optimum power load (OPL) applied to national boxing athletes and measured the transference effect coefficient (TEC) of these exercises on punching impact. Eight elite boxing athletes from the Brazilian National team participated in this study. Athletes were tested before and after 3 power-oriented training sessions performed at the OPL. The physical assessments comprised punching impact measures (jabs and crosses) at fixed and self-selected distances, and bar-power output in BP, HS, and JS exercises. Magnitude-based differences were used to compare pre-training and post-training sessions. Transference effect coefficient was calculated as the ratio between the result gain in the "untrained exercises" (punching impact in jabs and crosses) and "trained exercises" (HS, JS, and BP), for variables presenting an effect size of at least 0.2. The OPL training elicited meaningful increases in the punching impact forces (∼8%) and in both JS and HS power outputs (∼12 and ∼14%, respectively), but not in BP power output. There was an effective transference (TEC = ∼0.80) of JS and HS performance gains to punching impact force, suggesting that increases in lower-limb power can be directly transferred to punching impact. These results provide coaches and practitioners with valuable information about how to rapidly and effectively increase the punching impact force of elite amateur boxers.

Autologous bone grafts, used mainly in extensive bone loss, are considered the gold standard treatment in regenerative medicine, but still have limitations mainly in relation to the amount of bone available, donor area, morbidity and creation of additional surgical area. This fact encourages tissue engineering in relation to the need to develop new biomaterials, from sources other than the individual himself. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the effects of an elastin and collagen matrix on the bone repair process in critical size defects in rat calvaria. The animals (Wistar rats, n = 30) were submitted to a surgical procedure to create the bone defect and were divided into three groups: Control Group (CG, n = 10), defects filled with blood clot; E24/37 Group (E24/37, n = 10), defects filled with bovine elastin matrix hydrolyzed for 24 h at 37 °C and C24/25 Group (C24/25, n = 10), defects filled with porcine collagen matrix hydrolyzed for 24 h at 25 °C. Macroscopic and radiographic analyses demonstrated the absence of inflammatory signs and infection. Microtomographical 2D and 3D images showed centripetal bone growth and restricted margins of the bone defect. Histologically, the images confirmed the pattern of bone deposition at the margins of the remaining bone and without complete closure by bone tissue. In the morphometric analysis, the groups E24/37 and C24/25 (13.68 ± 1.44; 53.20 ± 4.47, respectively) showed statistically significant differences in relation to the CG (5.86 ± 2.87). It was concluded that the matrices used as scaffolds are biocompatible and increase the formation of new bone in a critical size defect, with greater formation in the polymer derived from the intestinal serous layer of porcine origin (C24/25).

In this work, the important role played by metal ions such as Fe(ii/iii), Cr(iii) and Ni(ii) in the formation and binodal behaviour of aqueous biphasic systems (ABS) composed of HCl and the ionic liquid, [P44414]Cl, or the polymer, PEG-600, is investigated. The concentration of metal ions used in this work exceeds several g L-1 for an industrial foreseen application. Experiments have also been carried out by varying the concentration of metal ions at different temperatures. Fe exhibits a totally different behaviour compared to Ni and Cr. In particular, the binodal curves in the presence of the ionic liquid are far from the classical curves found in the literature, displaying an onion-shape form, while for Ni and Cr, the curves follow the classical trend. When any of the three metal ions is mixed with the polymer and HCl medium, only Fe(iii) induces a biphasic system. Insights into the chemical driving forces at work are discussed.

This study aimed to examine the effects of different sled overloads on maximum sprint velocity achieved by female soccer players with different strength, speed, and power levels. Twenty elite female soccer players from the same club participated. On the same day, athletes performed: linear and resisted-sprint tests with 30 and 60 % of body-mass over 5-, 10-, and 20-m; half-squat maximum bar-power output, and half-squat one-repetition maximum assessment. A median split analysis was used to divide players into two groups according to their velocity, half-squat one-repetition maximum, and half-squat power. Differences in percentage decreases between unresisted- and resisted-sprints comparing higher and lower groups were analyzed using magnitude-based inferences. Overall, the stronger, faster, and more powerful players were less affected by both loads, as demonstrated by their lower decreases in velocity over the different distances. However, half-squat power appeared to be more sensitive for indicating impairments in resisted-sprint performance, due to meaningful differences in percentage decreases observed between higher and lower power groups. Notably, overloads of 30 and 60% of body-mass provoked substantial reductions in resisted-sprint velocity (~22.9% for 30% and ~51.4% for 60% of body-mass, relative to unresisted-sprint velocity). Athletes with superior power levels are less affected by the progressive sled overloading.

We examined the relationships among linear speed, vertical jumping ability and curve sprint (CS) performance. Moreover, the correlations between linear and curvilinear sprint velocities and CS deficit were tested. Twenty-eight under-20 soccer players performed squat and countermovement jumps, 17-m linear sprint (with split times at 5 and 10 m), and a CS test for both sides. For the first time, the new proposed CS deficit was calculated as the difference between 17-m velocity and CS test velocity. Pearson's product moment of correlation was performed to determine the relationships among the distinct variables tested. Significance level was set at P < 0.05. Large to very large relationships between linear sprint speed and CS performance were observed, on both the "good" and "weak" sides. In addition, moderate to large correlations between linear and curve sprint abilities and vertical jumps were found. Finally, the CS deficit was negatively associated with the CS good side performance. Linear sprint and CS velocities for both good and weak sides were closely related. The CS deficit was only related to the CS weak side performance, and the vertical jumping ability was significantly associated with both linear and curvilinear sprint velocities. The present results suggest that training methods capable of improving linear sprint and vertical jumping abilities may also improve CS performance.

Predictive factors of elite sprint performance: influences of muscle mechanical properties and functional parameters. J Strength Cond Res 33(4): 974-986, 2019-Sprint performance relies on many different mechanical and physiological factors. The purpose of this study was to identify, among a variety of strength-power exercises and tensiomyography (TMG) parameters, the best predictors of maximum running speed in elite sprinters and jumpers. To test these relationships, 19 power track and field athletes, 4 long jumpers, and 15 sprinters (men: 12; 22.3 ± 2.4 years; 75.5 ± 8.3 kg; 176.5 ± 5.6 cm; women: 7; 23.8 ± 4.2 years; 56.9 ± 5.4 kg; 167.4 ± 5.8 cm) were assessed using different intensities of TMG-derived velocity of contraction (Vc), squat and countermovement jumps, drop jump at 45 and 75 cm; and a 60-meter sprint time. In addition, the mean propulsive power (MPP) and peak power (PP) outputs were collected in the jump squat (JS) and half-squat (HS) exercises. Based on the calculations of the Vc at 40 mA, the athletes were divided (by median split analysis) into 2 groups: higher and lower Vc 40 mA groups. The magnitude-based inference method was used to compare the differences between groups. The correlations between mechanical and functional measures were determined using the Pearson's test. A multiple regression analysis was performed to predict sprint performance, using the Vc at 40 mA, jump heights, and JS and HS power outputs as independent variables. The higher Vc 40 mA group demonstrated likely better performances than the lower Vc 40 mA group in all tested variables. Large to nearly perfect significant correlations were found between sprint time, jump heights, and power outputs in both JS and HS exercises. Notably, the Vc 40 mA associated with the vertical jump height and MPP in JS explained >70% of the shared variance in sprint times. In conclusion, it was found that faster athletes performed better in strength-power tests, in both loaded and unloaded conditions, as confirmed by the strong correlations observed between speed and power measures. Lastly, the Vc also showed a marked selective influence on sprint and power capacities. These findings reinforce the notion that maximum running speed is a very complex physical capacity, which should be assessed and trained using several methods and training strategies.

Fourteen male elite sprinters performed short-distance sprints and jump tests until 18 days before 100-m dash competitions in track and field to determine if these tests are associated with 100-m sprint times. Testing comprised of squat jumps (SJ), countermovement jumps (CMJ), horizontal jumps (HJ), maximum mean propulsive power relative to body mass in loaded jump squats, and a flying start 50-m sprint. Moderate associations were found between speed tests and competitive 100-m times (r = 0.54, r = 0.61, and r = 0.66 for 10-, 30-, and 50-m, respectively, p ≤ 0.05). In addition, the maximum mean propulsive power relative to body mass was very largely correlated with 100-m sprinting performance (r = 0.75, p < 0.01). The correlations of SJ, CMJ, and HJ with actual 100-m sprinting times amounted to -0.82, -0.85, and -0.81, respectively. Because of their practicality, safeness, and relationship with the actual times obtained by top-level athletes in 100-m dash events, it is highly recommended that SJ, CMJ, and HJ be regularly incorporated into elite sprint-testing routines.

The neuromechanical determinants of sprint running performance have been investigated in team sports athletes and non-elite sprinters. The aim of this study was to quantify the relationships between kinetic and performance parameters, obtained in loaded and unloaded vertical and horizontal jumps, and sprinting in elite athletes. Twenty-two sprinters performed squat jumps, countermovement jumps, horizontal jumps, and jump squats with different loads on a force platform, in addition to a 50-m sprint. Results indicated that jumping height and distance in vertical and horizontal jumps are more strongly correlated (R ≈ 0.81) to sprinting speed than the respective peak forces (R ≈ 0.36). Furthermore, the optimum load generating the maximum power in the jump squat is also highly correlated to sprint performance (R ≈ 0.72). These results reveal that vertical and horizontal jump tests may be used by coaches for assessing and monitoring qualities related to sprinting performance in elite sprinters.

Sickle cell anemia is a hereditary disease caused by sickle-shaped red blood cells that can lead to vaso-occlusive crises. Treatment options are currently limited, highlighting the need to develop new clinical approaches. Studies demonstrated that elevated levels of fetal hemoglobin (Hb F) are associated with a reduction of mortality and morbidity in sickle cell anemia patients. In light of this, researchers have been trying to elucidate the transcriptional regulation of Hb F to develop new therapeutic interventions. The present study aimed to present the main transcription factors of Hb F and discuss the clinical feasibility of these molecular targets. Two search strategies were used in the PubMed, SciELO, and LILACS databases between July and August 2023 to conduct this review. Manual searches were also conducted by checking references of potentially eligible studies. Eligibility criteria consisted of clinical trials and cohort studies from the last five years that investigated transcription factors associated with Hb F. The transcription factors investigated in at least four eligible studies were included in this review. As a result, 56 eligible studies provided data on the BCL11A, LRF, NF-Y, GATA1, KLF1, HRI, ATF4, and MYB factors. The studies demonstrated that Hb F is cooperatively regulated by transcription factors with the BCL11A factor appearing to be the most specific target gene for γ-globin induction. Although these data are promising, there are still significant gaps and intervention limitations due to the adverse functions of the target genes. New studies that clarify the aspects and functionalities of Hb F regulators may enable new clinical approaches for sickle cell anemia patients.

Objective. Manual analysis of individual cancer lesions to assess disease response is clinically impractical and requires automated lesion tracking methodologies. However, no methodology has been developed for whole-body individual lesion tracking, across an arbitrary number of scans, and acquired with various imaging modalities.Approach. This study introduces a lesion tracking methodology and benchmarked it using 2368Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT and PET/MR images of eight neuroendocrine tumor patients. The methodology consists of six steps: (1) alignment of multiple scans via image registration, (2) body-part labeling, (3) automatic lesion-wise dilation, (4) clustering of lesions based on local lesion shape metrics, (5) assignment of lesion tracks, and (6) output of a lesion graph. Registration performance was evaluated via landmark distance, lesion matching accuracy was evaluated between each image pair, and lesion tracking accuracy was evaluated via identical track ratio. Sensitivity studies were performed to evaluate the impact of lesion dilation (fixed versus automatic dilation), anatomic location, image modalities (inter- versus intra-modality), registration mode (direct versus indirect registration), and track size (number of time-points and lesions) on lesion matching and tracking performance.Main results. Manual contouring yielded 956 lesions, 1570 lesion-matching decisions, and 493 lesion tracks. The median residual registration error was 2.5 mm. The automatic lesion dilation led to 0.90 overall lesion matching accuracy, and an 88% identical track ratio. The methodology is robust regarding anatomic locations, image modalities, and registration modes. The number of scans had a moderate negative impact on the identical track ratio (94% for 2 scans, 91% for 3 scans, and 81% for 4 scans). The number of lesions substantially impacted the identical track ratio (93% for 2 nodes versus 54% for ≥5 nodes).Significance. The developed methodology resulted in high lesion-matching accuracy and enables automated lesion tracking in PET/CT and PET/MR.

Objective.Deep learning models that aid in medical image assessment tasks must be both accurate and reliable to be deployed within clinical settings. While deep learning models have been shown to be highly accurate across a variety of tasks, measures that indicate the reliability of these models are less established. Increasingly, uncertainty quantification (UQ) methods are being introduced to inform users on the reliability of model outputs. However, most existing methods cannot be augmented to previously validated models because they are not post hoc, and they change a model's output. In this work, we overcome these limitations by introducing a novel post hoc UQ method, termedLocal Gradients UQ, and demonstrate its utility for deep learning-based metastatic disease delineation.Approach.This method leverages a trained model's localized gradient space to assess sensitivities to trained model parameters. We compared the Local Gradients UQ method to non-gradient measures defined using model probability outputs. The performance of each uncertainty measure was assessed in four clinically relevant experiments: (1) response to artificially degraded image quality, (2) comparison between matched high- and low-quality clinical images, (3) false positive (FP) filtering, and (4) correspondence with physician-rated disease likelihood.Main results.(1) Response to artificially degraded image quality was enhanced by the Local Gradients UQ method, where the median percent difference between matching lesions in non-degraded and most degraded images was consistently higher for the Local Gradients uncertainty measure than the non-gradient uncertainty measures (e.g. 62.35% vs. 2.16% for additive Gaussian noise). (2) The Local Gradients UQ measure responded better to high- and low-quality clinical images (p< 0.05 vsp> 0.1 for both non-gradient uncertainty measures). (3) FP filtering performance was enhanced by the Local Gradients UQ method when compared to the non-gradient methods, increasing the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC AUC) by 20.1% and decreasing the false positive rate by 26%. (4) The Local Gradients UQ method also showed more favorable correspondence with physician-rated likelihood for malignant lesions by increasing ROC AUC for correspondence with physician-rated disease likelihood by 16.2%.Significance. In summary, this work introduces and validates a novel gradient-based UQ method for deep learning-based medical image assessments to enhance user trust when using deployed clinical models.

The aim of this study is to present a sequential strategy of soft-tissue, non-osteogenic distraction with a novel device, followed by microvascular bony reconstruction for severe cases of mandibular hypoplasia. The case of a 21-year-old woman with Goldenhar syndrome is presented, whose mandible remained severely hypoplastic despite previous attempts at distraction and was not suitable for further osteogenic distraction. Soft tissue deficiency and pin track scarring prevented free fibular transfers. A personalized distractor, anchored to the cranium and the mandibular symphysis, was designed to expand the soft tissues while allowing for physiological temporomandibular joint (TMJ) movement without compression forces. Internal distractors were placed along the osteotomies to prevent condylar luxation. After completion of the soft tissue distraction, the native mandible was resected except for the condyles and reconstructed with two free fibula flaps. This report represents the proof of concept of a sequential approach to severe lower face soft-tissue and bone deficiency, which preserves TMJ function and avoids the transfer of poorly matched skin to the face.

RESUMO

This is the second article in a three-article collection regarding the plyometric, speed, and resistance training practices of Brazilian Olympic sprint and jump coaches. Here, we list and describe six out of the ten speed training methods most commonly employed by these experts to enhance the sprinting capabilities of their athletes. Maximum speed sprinting, form running, resisted sprinting, overspeed running, uphill and downhill running, and sport-specific movement methods are critically examined with reference to their potential application in different sport contexts. In an era when sprint speed is of critical importance across numerous sports, practitioners can employ the methods outlined here to design efficient training programs for their athletes.

Plyometric training is extensively used by coaches to enhance neuromuscular performance in a wide variety of sports. Due to the high demands of sprint speed and power output in elite sprinters and jumpers, sprint and jump coaches are likely to have great knowledge on this topic. Undoubtedly, this expertise is even more pronounced for Olympic coaches, who work with some of the fastest and most powerful athletes in the world, and who are required to continually maintain these athletes at optimal performance levels. Describing and discussing the practices commonly adopted by these coaches in detail and extrapolating this experience to other sport coaching contexts and disciplines may be extremely relevant. The current article presents, explores, and illustrates the plyometric training practices of Brazilian Olympic sprint and jump coaches, with a special focus on training programming and exercise selection.

On behalf of the Strength and Conditioning Society (SCS) and the Nucleus of High Performance in Sport (NAR), we are pleased to present the abstracts of the SCS 5th Annual Conference, which, for the first time, took place outside of Europe. The event was held at NAR's state-of-the-art facilities in São Paulo, Brazil, on 3-5 November 2022, and comprised several invited sessions from international and national speakers on a variety of topics related to strength and conditioning practices and their application to health, injury prevention and sports performance. These included strength training in high-performance sports and older adults, sleep and recovery in elite athletes, performance optimization of the female athlete, high-intensity interval training, velocity-based resistance training, and running and cycling biomechanics, among others. The Conference also included different practical workshops conducted by renowned academics and practitioners on post-competition recovery strategies, plyometric training, hamstring strain injuries in soccer, and resisted sprint training. Finally, the event disseminated up-to-date strength and conditioning research by providing practitioners and researchers with the opportunity to present their most recent findings. In this regard, all abstracts of the communications presented at the SCS 5th Annual Conference can be found in this Conference Report.

Objective.Patients with metastatic disease are followed throughout treatment with medical imaging, and accurately assessing changes of individual lesions is critical to properly inform clinical decisions. The goal of this work was to assess the performance of an automated lesion-matching algorithm in comparison to inter-reader variability (IRV) of matching lesions between scans of metastatic cancer patients.Approach.Forty pairs of longitudinal PET/CT and CT scans were collected and organized into four cohorts: lung cancers, head and neck cancers, lymphomas, and advanced cancers. Cases were also divided by cancer burden: low-burden (<10 lesions), intermediate-burden (10-29), and high-burden (30+). Two nuclear medicine physicians conducted independent reviews of each scan-pair and manually matched lesions. Matching differences between readers were assessed to quantify the IRV of lesion matching. The two readers met to form a consensus, which was considered a gold standard and compared against the output of an automated lesion-matching algorithm. IRV and performance of the automated method were quantified using precision, recall, F1-score, and the number of differences.Main results.The performance of the automated method did not differ significantly from IRV for any metric in any cohort (p> 0.05, Wilcoxon paired test). In high-burden cases, the F1-score (median [range]) was 0.89 [0.63, 1.00] between the automated method and reader consensus and 0.93 [0.72, 1.00] between readers. In low-burden cases, F1-scores were 1.00 [0.40, 1.00] and 1.00 [0.40, 1.00], for the automated method and IRV, respectively. Automated matching was significantly more efficient than either reader (p< 0.001). In high-burden cases, median matching time for the readers was 60 and 30 min, respectively, while automated matching took a median of 3.9 minSignificance.The automated lesion-matching algorithm was successful in performing lesion matching, meeting the benchmark of IRV. Automated lesion matching can significantly expedite and improve the consistency of longitudinal lesion-matching.
