RESUMO
Sixty eight postmenopausal women with chronic recurrent cystitis received local antibacterial treatment consisting in bladder ionophoresis and vaginal exposure to estrogens and vibromagnetic action of RECTOMASSAGER attachment and AMUS-01-INTRAMAG device. This local treatment proved superior to systemic one as 1-year follow-up registered a 3.1-fold reduction in recurrence rate vs control patients.

An original combined treatment of obese patients with erectile dysfunction including transcranial magnetotherapy and transabdominal electrostimulation in the region of fat deposit for 6 months reduces body weight by up to 17% and elevates testosterone by up to 29%. Erectile function improved to normal in 31.8% patients. This method is pathogenetically sound in minimal use of medicines and low risk of cardiovascular disorders.

Cernilton is a phytodrug containing pollen extract. It has antiandrogenic and anti-inflammatory effects influencing alpha1-adrenoblockers located in the zone of the detrusor and urethra. A conservative therapy with cernilton was given to 72 patients with chronic prostatitis and prostatic adenoma of stage I-II. Detailed urologic examination before the treatment and after it demonstrates that cernilton is effective, safe and well tolerated medicine for prostatic adenoma and chronic prostatitis. Cernilton is recommended for wider use in the treatment of patients with prostatic adenoma and chronic prostatitis.

We studied renal function after intestinal plastic reconstruction of the urinary bladder with an ilial graft in 52 patients with urinary bladder cancer (UBC). We created artificial urinary bladder in 39 patients and urinary reservoir in 13 ones. The control group consisted of 40 patients who had undergone Brikker's operation (n=13) or ureterocutaneostomy (n=27). Most information about renal function was obtained with dynamic nephroscintigraphy and color duplex scanning of renal vessels. As shown by 5-year postoperative follow-up, late postoperative condition of the kidneys is determined by the method of urine derivation. Ilial plastic reconstruction of the urinary bladder has a minimal negative effect on renal function while quality of life improves. Ureterocutaneostomy deteriorates renal function, the same in Brikker's operation but in a lesser degree. Thus, ilial plastic repair of the urinary bladder is a method of choice in the treatment of patients with invasive cancer of the urinary bladder.

There are three directions in pathogenetic treatment of chronic prostatitis (CP) which is conducted in parallel to etiotropic one (antimicrobial): general immunological; improving arterial inflow and venous outflow; creation of prostatic secretion outflow and that of seminal vesicles by means of contractions of the pelvic and perineal muscles, muscular fibers of the prostatic gland. The latter two directions can be managed with physiotherapy. It is proposed to use combination of drugs with physiotherapy conducted by means of the devices [see text].

Transurethral resection of hyperplastic prostate was carried out in 667 patients. Complications associated with the intervention occurred in 146 (21.89%) patients: intraoperative in 31 (4.6%), immediately after surgery in 68 (10.2%), and during remote period in 47 (7.04%) patients. Causes of complications are discussed, probable errors in transurethral resection are enumerated, and recommendations on prevention of complications in endosurgery for prostatic hyperplasia are offered.

The article is devoted to the main principles of prophylaxis of urination disorders and infective-and-inflammatory complications after the serious operations and trauma. The authors consider that surgeons, urologists and reanimators should take into account the risk of urinary bladder long catheterization. To prevent such complications it is recommended to use the selective alpha1A/D-adrenoblocker tamsulosin. It will allow the prevention of ischuria development, restoration of adequate urination in the early postoperative period with evident economical profit of such measure.
