RESUMO

For comparative assessment of an ordinary epineural suture and neurorrhaphy with the use of neurosurgical techniques operations were conducted on rabbits with a subsequent histological examination. It was established that the granulation tissue containing fine collagen fibers formed more rapidly when microsurgical techniques were used than in the controls. Besides, the rate of growth of the nerve elements in the region of the anastomosis was higher and by the end of the study the newly formed myelin axons acquired a clear linear direction.

RESUMO

The article gives an analysis of results of transplantation of 62 free composite flaps for closing defects of foot soft tissues in 48 patients. Positive results were obtained in 77.4% of the cases. The taking of free composite flaps on the foot greatly depends on the state of the recipient vessels and availability of the pathogenic microflora in the wound. To lean upon the foot was permitted as late as 7-9 months after operation, i.e. after the recovery of surface sensitivity.

RESUMO

The article presents results of using the human umbilical vein for plasty of lower extremity arteries. There were 44 operations on 43 patients. In 22 cases the prosthesis of the umbilical vein was used for the femoro-popliteal shunts and in 22 cases for femoro-femoral shunts. In 18 patients the shunts were potent within 6 years of the followup observation which demonstrates good prospects of using the human umbilical vein in reconstructive surgery of the vessels of small and medium diameter.
