RESUMO

An efficient anodic C(sp3)-H acyloxylation protocol has been established via intermolecular cross-dehydrogenative C(sp3)-O coupling. The protocol provides various C2-acyloxy indolin-3-ones without the addition of metal catalysts and external oxidants because indolin-3-ones can be directly oxidized at the anode. The effective application of several medical drugs and the realization of the gram-scale experiment have proven the practicality of this protocol.

RESUMO

An electrochemical protocol for the construction of substituted isoindolinones via reduction/amidation of 2-carboxybenzaldehydes and amines has been realized. Under metal-free and external-reductant-free electrolytic conditions, the reaction achieves the cascade formation of intermolecular C-N bonds and provides a series of isoindolinones in moderate to good yields. The deuterium-labeling experiment proves that the hydrogen in the methylene of the product is mainly provided by H2O in the system.

RESUMO

Background: Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neurotoxicity (CIPN) is a dose-limiting side effect observed in breast cancer patients. Its primary clinical manifestations include limb numbness, tingling sensations, hypoesthesia, or paresthesia. In severe instances, some patients may also encounter muscle cramps, weakness, and pain, leading to potential paralysis. The onset of CIPN significantly impacts the quality of life for cancer patients. Hence, it is imperative to explore preventive strategies for managing CIPN. Methods: We searched for relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and non-randomized controlled trials (non-RCTs) in several databases. The primary outcome measures encompassed the Patient Neurotoxicity Questionnaire (PNQ), the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Taxane (FACT-Taxane), and the National Cancer Institute Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (NCI-CTCAE). Secondary outcomes aimed to evaluate the quality of life and the tolerability of ice gloves. Meta-analysis was conducted using RevMan 5.3 software to determine the relative risk ratio (RR) and 95% confidence interval (CI). Results: We conducted an analysis involving 372 patients across seven trials. In our meta-analysis, the use of ice gloves demonstrated non-significant results in reducing the incidence of both motor and sensory neuropathy, as assessed through CTCAE (sensory: RR: 0.94; 95% CI: 0.85 to 1.02; P = 0.15; motor: RR: 1.04; 95% CI: 0.88 to 1.22; P = 0.64). Similarly, when evaluated using the PNQ, there was no significant reduction observed in the incidence of sensory and motor neuropathy (sensory: RR: 0.49; 95% CI: 0.20 to 1.20; P = 0.12; motor: RR: 0.71; 95% CI: 0.26 to 1.99; P = 0.52). Consistently, our conclusions remained unchanged when employing the FACT-Taxane assessment. Regarding the evaluation of the quality of life, our observations suggested a potential improvement with the use of ice gloves, and participants exhibited moderate tolerance towards them. Conclusion: Ice gloves are a reasonable option for the treatment of CIPN in patients undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer. However, the effectiveness of ice gloves in combating CIPN remains inconclusive at this time due to the low quality and limited number of clinical trials on this topic. RESUMO

Surfaces with high aspect ratio microarray structures can implement sophisticated assignment in typical fields including microfluidics, sensor, biomedicine, et al. via regulating their deformation or the material properties. Inspired by natural materials and systems, for example sea cockroaches, water spiders, cacti, lotus leaves, rice leaves, and cedar leaves, many researchers have focused on microneedle functional surface studies. When the surface with high aspect ratio microarray structures is stimulated by the external fields, such as optical, electric, thermal, magnetic, the high aspect ratio microarray structures can undergo hydrophilic and hydrophobic switching or shape change, which may be gifted the surfaces with the ability to perform complex task, including directional liquid/air transport, targeted drug delivery, microfluidic chip sensing. In this review, the fabrication principles of various surfaces with high aspect ratio microarray structures are classified and summarized. Mechanisms of liquid manipulation on hydrophilic/hydrophobic surfaces with high aspect ratio microarray structures are clarified based on Wenzel model, Cassie model, Laplace pressure theories and so on. Then the intelligent control strategies have been demonstrated. The applications in microfluidic, drug delivery, patch sensors have been discussed. Finally, current challenges and new insights of future prospects for dynamic manipulation of liquid/air based on biomimetic surface with high aspect ratio microarray structures are also addressed.

RESUMO

Cervical cancer (CC) is the fourth most commonly diagnosed cancer in women worldwide. The prognosis of CC patients remains poor. The objective of our study was to explore the potential of glycolipid transfer protein (GLTP) in predicting the prognosis of CC and patients' response to immunotherapy. The expression of GLTP was determined using TCGA and GEO datasets. The prognostic value of GLTP in CC patients was analyzed using Kaplan-Meier analysis and multivariate analysis. The relationships between BTBD10 and immunological checkpoints, immune checkpoint genes, and ferroptosis-related genes were analyzed to explore the impact of GLTP on CC immunotherapy. According to the dysregulated expressions of BTBD10, the IC50 distribution of various targeted medicines was studied. In this study, we found that GLTP expression was distinctly upregulated in CC specimens. However, Kaplan-Meier assays showed that CC patients with low GLTP expressions tended to exhibit a shorter overall survival. Importantly, multivariate assays revealed that GLTP expression was an independent prognostic factor for CC patients. Moreover, we observed that GLTP expression was related to CD4+ T cells, macrophages, and dendritic cells (DCs). Meanwhile, GLTP expressions were associated with those of immune checkpoints, ferroptosis-related genes, and m6A-related genes. The IC50 of Cisplatin, Docetaxel, and Paclitaxel was lower in the high-GLTP-expressing group. Taken together, GLTP was expected to be a prognostic and immunotherapeutic marker for CC.

RESUMO

A regioselective coupling of aliphatic ketones with alkenes has been realized by cathodic reduction. This reaction enables the formation of ketyl radicals and the activation of challenging alkenes under mild electrolysis conditions, providing an effective protocol for accessing diverse tertiary alcohols with substrate-dependent regioselectivity. The practicability of this reaction is demonstrated by scale-up experiments. The hydrogen source for the products, the migration isomerization of allylarenes, and the applicability of internal alkenes are demonstrated by control experiments.

RESUMO

An efficient cathodic carbonyl alkylation of aryl ketones or aldehydes with unactivated alkyl halides has been realized through the electrochemical activation of iron. The protocol is believed to include a radical-radical coupling or nucleophilic addition process, and the formation of ketyl radicals and alkyl radicals has been demonstrated. The protocol provides various tertiary or secondary alcohols by the formation of intermolecular C-C bonds under safe and mild conditions, is scalable, consumes little energy, and exhibits a broad substrate scope.

RESUMO

Additional degrees of freedom existed in dual-motor coupling system bring considerable challenge to the optimal control of electric vehicles. Moreover, the stochastic characteristic of vehicle mass can further increase this challenge. A receding horizon control (RHC) strategy in consideration of stochastic vehicle mass is proposed in this study to respond to this challenge. Aiming at an electric vehicle with dual-motor coupling, a Markov chain is firstly deployed to predict future driving conditions by a formulated state transition probability matrix, based on historical driving cycles in real-world. Then, future required power is predicted by the predicted driving conditions, stochastic vehicle mass and road gradient, where the stochastic vehicle mass is formulated as stochastic variables in different bus stops. Finally, dynamic programming is employed to calculate the optimal vector of the vehicle within the defined prediction horizon, and only the first control values extracted from the optimal control vector are used to execute real-time power distribution control. The simulation results show that the proposed strategy is reasonable and can at least reduce electric consumption by 4.64%, compared with rule-based strategy.
