RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the addition of dietary fiber in infant formula approved in recent 5 years. METHODS: A total of 1438 infant formula milk powder approved in China from January 2017 to June 2022 were collected and the addition rate, content and mixture of dietary fiber components such as galactooligosaccharide(FOS), fructooligosaccharide(GOS), polyfructose, polyglucose, raffinose and yeast ß-dextran were statistically analyzed. RESULTS: Among the 1438 infant formulas, 84.07%(1209) were added with dietary fiber, and the addition rate increased yearly. Among them, the addition rate of GOS(79.82%) and FOS(79.74%) was the highest, and the median amount of dietary fiber components was 3.00 g/100 g. Among the products added with various dietary fiber components, there were 762 products added with GOS and FOS, The addition ratios of GOS and FOS were mainly concentrated at 1∶1. CONCLUSION: The addition rate of dietary fiber in infant formula milk powder in China is constantly increasing, however there are large differences in the addition amount, dietary fiber combination and proportion of different products.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Mounting evidences indicate that oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, and dysregulation of gut microbiota are related to neurodegenerative disorders (NDs). Butyrolactone I (BTL-I), a marine fungal metabolite, was previously reported as an in vitro neuroprotectant and inflammation inhibitor. However, little is known regarding its in vivo effects, whereas zebrafish (Danio rerio) could be used as a convenient in vivo model of toxicology and central nervous system (CNS) diseases. METHODS: Here, we employed in vivo and in silico methods to investigate the anti-NDs potential of BTL-I. Specifically, we established a cognitive deficit model in zebrafish by intraperitoneal (i.p.) injection of aluminum trichloride (AlCl3) (21 µg) and assessed their behaviors in the T-maze test. The proinflammatory cytokines interleukin-1ß (IL-1ß) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) as well as acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity or glutathione (GSH) levels were assayed 24 h after AlCl3 injection. The intestinal flora variation of the zebrafish was investigated by 16S rDNA high-throughput analysis. The marine fungal metabolite, butyrolactone I (BTL-I), was used to modulate zebrafish cognitive deficits evoked by AlCl3 and evaluated about its effects on the above inflammatory, cholinergic, oxidative stress, and gut floral indicators. Furthermore, the absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity (ADMET) and drug-likeness properties of BTL-I were studied by the in silico tool ADMETlab. RESULTS: BTL-I dose-dependently ameliorated AlCl3-induced cognitive deficits in zebrafish. While AlCl3 treatment elevated the levels of central and peripheral proinflammatory cytokines, increased AChE activity, and lowered GSH in the brains of zebrafish, these effects, except GSH reduction, were reversed by 25-100 mg/kg BTL-I administration. Besides, 16S rDNA high-throughput sequencing of the intestinal flora of zebrafish showed that AlCl3 decreased Gram-positive bacteria and increased proinflammatory Gram-negative bacteria, while BTL-I contributed to maintaining the predominance of beneficial Gram-positive bacteria. Moreover, the in silico analysis indicated that BTL-I exhibits acceptable drug-likeness and ADMET profiles. CONCLUSIONS: The present findings suggest that BTL-I is a potential therapeutic agent for preventing CNS deficits caused by inflammation, neurotoxicity, and gut flora imbalance.

RESUMO

Electrons can degrade pentachlorphenate sodium (PCPNa) directly or activate molecular oxygen to produce·O2-and ·OH for its degradation. However, less work has been performed to control such two kinds of reaction pathway by modifying BiOCl. Herein, we firstly regulated the reaction pathway between electrons and PCPNa by adjusting the amount of surface oxygen vacancies (OVs) and surface adsorbed hydroxyl groups in I-doped BiOCl exposed with different facets. OVs on (001) facets-exposed I-doped BiOCl enabled large amount of PCPNa to adsorb on its surface and facilitated the direct reaction between electrons and PCPNa. In contrary, more surface adsorbed hydroxyl groups and oxygen on (010) facets-exposed I-doped BiOCl can retard the direct reaction between electrons and PCPNa via lowering the adsorption of PCPNa and increasing the activation of molecular oxygen by electrons. Although more·O2-and ·OH generated in I-doped (010)-facets exposed BiOCl, I-doped (001)-facets exposed BiOCl exhibited better photocatalytic activity. We proposed that the direct reaction between electrons and PCPNa can enhance the utilization efficiency of photogenerated electrons and improve photocatalytic degradation efficiency of PCPNa.

RESUMO

Artocarpin has shown anti-inflammation and anticancer activities. However, the metabolism differences among different species have not been reported. In this work, we used liver microsomes to explore the metabolic characteristics and possible metabolites of artocarpin among different species. The structures of six metabolites were characterized by LC-MS/MS, and hydroxylated artocarpin was the main metabolite. Enzyme kinetics and depletion studies of artocarpin among different species proved that artocarpin metabolism exhibited significant species differences; rats and monkeys showed a great metabolic ability to artocarpin, and minipigs showed the highest similarity to humans. The in vivo hepatic clearances of artocarpin in rats and humans were predicted that artocarpin was classified as a high-clearance drug in humans and rats. The glucuronidation assay of artocarpin in different liver microsomes also proved that artocarpin metabolism showed significant species difference. These findings will support further pharmacological or toxicological research on artocarpin.Abbreviations: UGT: UDP-glucuronosyltransferase; CYP: cytochrome P450; LC-MS/MS: liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry; HPLC: high-performance liquid chromatography; HLMs: human liver microsomes; MLMs: monkey liver microsomes; RAMs: rabbit liver microsomes; RLMs: rat liver microsomes; DLMs: dog liver microsomes; PLMs: minipig liver microsomes; Vmax: maximum velocity; Km: Michaelis constant; CLint: intrinsic clearance; CLH: hepatic clearance; QH: hepatic blood flow.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To establish a high performance liquid chromatography method with fluorescence detection for a variety of vitamin K and to assess the content of vitamin K in animal foods. METHODS: Animal foods were hydrolyzed by 0.2 g lipase and 0.1 g protease in pH 8 for 4 hours, extracted with isooctane followed by rotary evaporation and reconstitution. The mobile phase was 900 mL methanol and 100 mL tetrahydrofuran which contained 5 mmol glacial acetic acid, 11 mmol zinc chloride and 6 mmol anhydrous sodium acetate. The content of vitamin K_1, menaquinone-4(MK-4), and menaquinone-7(MK-7)were separated on Atlantis T3 column(4.6 mm×250 mm, 5 µm)by high-performance liquid chromatography. The fluorescence detector was set at a wavelength of 320 nm for excitation and 410.3 nm for emission. RESULTS: The linear range of the method was 0.01-0.40 µg/mL, and coefficient of determination was > 0.999. The spiked recoveries were 84.4%-124.2% with relative standard deviation was <6%(n=6). MK-4 was the main form of vitamin K in pork and chicken. The highest content of vitamin K_1 was found in beef, and MK-7 could be detected in aquatic products. CONCLUSION: The proposed method is successfully applied for the determination of vitamin K in animal foods. A variety of vitamin K are distributed differently in distinct animals.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical therapeutic effects of sacral nerve magnetic stimulation (SNMS) combined with extracorporeal shockwave (ECSW) in the treatment of type-ⅢB chronic prostatitis. METHODS: This study included 65 cases of type-ⅢB chronic prostatitis treated in Renji Hospital between March 2017 and August 2018. The patients were aged 34.56 + 7.47 years and had an average disease course of 12.95 + 10.73 months. We randomly assigned the patients to an experimental (n = 33) and a control group (n = 32) to be treated by SNMS+ECSW and biofeedback combined with electrical stimulation, respectively, qd alt, 40 minutes once, for a total of 24 times. Before and after 4 and 8 weeks of treatment, we obtained the NIH-CPSI scores, maximum urinary flow rate (Qmax), average urinary flow rate (Qavg), Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) scores and Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) scores of the patients, recorded their adverse reactions and compared the clinical therapeutic effects between the two groups of patients. RESULTS: After treatment, the experimental group showed significant improvement in the pain score, urination score, quality of life (QOL) score and NIH-CPSI total scores in comparison with the baseline (P < 0.05), even more significant after 8 than after 4 weeks of treatment (P < 0.05), and in all the indexes as compared with the control group (P < 0.05). Qmax and Qavg were remarkably improved at 8 weeks (P < 0.05) and so were SDS and SAS scores at 4 and 8 weeks (P < 0.05), even more significantly in the experimental than in the control group (P < 0.05). Among the 33 patients in the experimental group, 25 (75.8%) responded (14 [42.4%] cured or with excellent effect), with a significantly higher effectiveness rate than the control group (7[46.9%], P < 0.01). No obvious adverse events were observed in any of the patients during the treatment. CONCLUSIONS: SNMS+ECSW can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and QOL of the patients with type-ⅢB chronic prostatitis, without causing obvious adverse reactions. Its long-term therapeutic effect, however, remains to be further studied.

RESUMO

A new depsidone derivative (1), aspergillusidone G, was isolated from a marine fungus Aspergillus unguis, together with eight known depsidones (2‒9) and a cyclic peptide (10): agonodepside A (2), nornidulin (3), nidulin (4), aspergillusidone F (5), unguinol (6), aspergillusidone C (7), 2-chlorounguinol (8), aspergillusidone A (9), and unguisin A (10). Compounds 1‒4 and 7‒9 were obtained from the plasma induced mutant of this fungus, while 5, 6, and 10 were isolated from the original strain under chemical induction. Their structures were identified using spectroscopic analysis, as well as by comparison with literature data. The HPLC fingerprint analysis indicates that chemical induction and plasma mutagenesis effectively influenced the secondary metabolism, which may be due to their regulation in the key steps in depsidone biosynthesis. In bioassays, compound 9 inhibited acetylcholinesterase (AChE) with IC50 in 56.75 µM. Compounds 1, 5, 7, 8, and 9 showed moderate to strong activity towards different microbes. Compounds 3, 4, and 5 exhibited potent larvicidality against brine shrimp. In docking studies, higher negative CDOCKER interaction energy and richer strong interactions between AChE and 9 explained the greater activity of 9 compared to 1. Chemical induction and plasma mutagenesis can be used as tools to expand the chemodiversity of fungi and obtain useful natural products.

RESUMO

Multi-tasking optimization algorithm attracts much attention because the knowledge transfer between tasks enables the algorithm to process multiple related tasks simultaneously. However, negative knowledge transfer occasionally occurs, which may weaken the performance of the algorithm. To reduce the impact of negative knowledge transfer, a multi-objective multi-tasking optimization algorithm (IM-MFEA) based on inverse model mapping and an objective transformation strategy is proposed. First, correlation analysis is applied in an inverse mapping strategy to improve the accuracy of the inverse mapping model. Then, following the pattern of using the source domain solutions to assist the optimization of the target domain, the adaptive transformation strategy is used to improve the quality of the source domain solution in the objective space. These transformed solutions are reconstructed through the inverse mapping strategy. Finally, these reconstructed source domain solutions are mated with the target domain solutions to generate competitive offspring individuals for the target domain. To verify the effectiveness of the IM-MFEA, comprehensive experiments were conducted on nine multi-objective multi-factorial optimization (MFO) benchmark problems. Empirical results demonstrate that IM-MFEA is superior to other algorithms in 90% of test instances by inverted generational distance (IGD) and hypervolume (HV) value indicators.

RESUMO

The performance of traditional penalty boundary intersection (PBI) decomposition-based evolutionary algorithm is totally determined by the penalty factor. The fixed penalty factor causes the imbalance between the convergence and the diversity when solving many-objective problems. So, an adaptive decomposition evolutionary algorithm based on environmental information (MaOEA/ADEI) is proposed to solve the imbalance. The penalty factor of PBI decomposition is determined by the environmental information (include distribution information of weight vectors and population). Furthermore, the parent individual selection strategy is introduced to select promising individuals for variation and the weight vectors adaption strategy is used to handle problems with scaled objectives. Comparisons with 4 algorithms on 24 benchmark instances are used to test the property of MaOEA/ADEI. The experimental results show MaOEA/ADEI performs best on 14 test instances.

RESUMO

In practical applications and daily life, dynamic multiobjective optimization problems (DMOPs) are ubiquitous. The purpose of dealing with DMOPs is to track moving Pareto Front (PF) and find a series of Pareto Set (PS) at different times. Prediction-based strategies improve the performance of multiobjective evolutionary algorithms in dynamic environments. However, how to ensure the accuracy of prediction models is always a challenge. In this study, a dual prediction strategy with inverse model (DPIM) is developed, to alleviate the negative impact of inaccurate prediction. When a change is confirmed, DPIM responses to it by predicting the individuals in the objective space. Furthermore, the inverse model is established to connect the decision space with the objective space, which can guide the search for promising decision areas. Specifically, the inverse model is also predicted to minimize the error in the process of mapping the population from the objective space back to the decision space. The effectiveness of the proposed DPIM is proved by comparison with four effective DMOEAs on 14 benchmark problems with various real-word scenarios. The experimental results show that DPIM can obtain high-quality populations with good convergence and distribution in dynamic environments.

RESUMO

The gonadal development; edible tissue ratio; and proximate, fatty acid, and free amino acid composition were examined and compared among Eriocheir sinensis samples from four sources. The gonadosomatic index (GSI) of Heilongjiang (HLJ) crabs was significantly higher than that of the other crabs from September to October (P < 0.05). Of all the edible tissues of E. sinensis, HLJ crab had the highest linolenic acid (18:3n3, LNA) and arachidonic acid (20:4n6, ARA) contents (P < 0.05), while Qinghai (QH) crab had the highest eicosapentaenoic acid (20:5n3, EPA) content (P < 0.05). The highest docosahexaenoic acid (22:6n3, DHA) and DHA/EPA contents were observed in Shandong (SD) crabs (P < 0.05), and the highest linoleic acid (18:2n6, LA) content was found in Shanghai (SH) crabs (P < 0.05). In conclusion, E. sinensis inhabiting relatively low-temperature regions (northern China) can initiate gonadal development earlier, and the quality of E. sinensis living in paddies and lakes is better than that of crabs living in ponds.

RESUMO

Objective: To analyze the discrepancy between self-rating and professional evaluation of mental health status in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cluster cases. Method: A total of 65 COVID-19 cluster cases admitted to Beijing Ditan Hospital Capital Medical University from June 14, 2020 to June 16, 2020 were included in the study. Mental health assessment was completed by self-rating and professional evaluation. The gaps between self-rating and professional evaluation in different demographic characteristics were compared. Results: The results of self-rating were inconsistent with those of professional evaluation. The gap was statistically different among certain demographic subgroups. As for anxiety, the gaps had remarkable statistics differences in subgroups of sex, monthly income, infection way, and anxiety/depression medical history. Similarly, in the terms of depression, the gaps had significant statistic differences in the subgroups of the medical history of anxiety/depression, history of physical disease, employment status and the insurance type, marriage, education (year), residing in Beijing (year), and the monthly income. Conclusion: Compared to the professional evaluation, patients had a higher self-rating, which may be related to some demographic characteristics. It suggests that screening can be conducted in patients with COVID-19 by self-rating first, and then professional evaluation should be carried out in the patients with suspicious or positive results.

RESUMO

High-speed cold tandem rolling process control system consists of complex mechanical and electrical equipments. The coupling association of these equipments makes multi-objective rolling process complicated to be predicted and controlled. In order to achieve higher prediction precision, a multi-parameter depth perception model is established based on a deep belief network. To get higher control precision in real time, a multi-objective rolling optimization method is introduced, which is supported by many-objective evolutionary algorithm. Five objectives are selected as rolling schedule optimization objective: equal relative power margin, slippage prevent, good flatness, total energy consumption and energy consumption per ton. Simulation results show that many-objective evolutionary algorithm based on decomposition and Gaussian mixture model achieves a set of balance solutions on these objectives. The proposed method could not only predict rolling force and rolling power in real time, but also give the solutions for many-objective reduction schedule.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To observe the potential effects of Lepidium meyemii Waip (MACA) on body fat, sexual hormone, bone metabolism in post-ovariectomized rats. METHOD: Healthy Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 6 groups: sham operated group, ovariectomized model group (OVX), OVX + estrogen treated group (0.3 g/kg), OVX + Maca low dose treated group (0.3 g/kg), OVX + Maca middle dose treated group (0.6 g/kg) and OVX + Maca high dose treated group (1.8 g/kg). After 7 weeks treated the rats were sacrificed, the body weight, uterus and adrenal gland weight were measured, the blood lipids, sexual hormone, bone metabolism were analyzed. RESULTS: In ovariectomized model group (GYX) the level of estrogen, progesterone, testosterone and the weigh of uterine and adrenal were decreased, the body weight gain, serum lipid and the activities of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) were increased (compared with sham operated group, P < 0.01), though the change of femoral bone density and mineral content was not observed. The blood estrogen and BPG level were increased in OVX + MACA high dose treated group, and had less uterine weight loss and body weight gain, while, the triglyceride, LDL-C and ALP level were similar to sham operated group. CONCLUSION: Dietary supplementation with Maca may have potential effects on prevention from poatmenopausal lipid abnormality and bone metabolism via a different mechanism from estrogen.

RESUMO

In recent years, flexible light-emitting devices (LEDs) have become the main focus in the field of display technology. Graphene, a two-dimensional layered material, has attracted great interest in LEDs due to its excellent properties. However, there are many problems such as efficiency, lifetime, and flexibility not well solved. Herein, we have successfully prepared a flexible LED using laser-induced reduced graphene oxide (LIRGO). The LIRGO LED achieves a luminescence lifetime of over 60 hours and a wall plug efficiency of up to 1.4% in a vacuum environment of 0.02 Pa. There are many small luminescent spots randomly distributed on 3.5 × 5 mm2 of LIRGO. LIRGO's luminous behavior can be controlled by modifying the supply voltage and laser reduction intensity. We also explore LIRGO's applications by testing it in different packages and customizable bulbs. Furthermore, as an interesting demo, the LIRGO device can be used to mimic constellations with visual shapes. This work demonstrates LIRGO's great potential in many fields, such as flexible and miniature light sources and displays.
