Bio-cement is a green and energy-saving building material that has attracted much attention in the field of ecological environment and geotechnical engineering in recent years. The aim of this study is to investigate the use of bio-cement (enzyme-induced calcium carbonate precipitation-EICP) in combination with admixtures for the improvement of desert sands, which can effectively improve the mechanical properties of desert sands and is particularly suitable for sand-rich countries. In addition, the suitability of tap water in bio-cement was elucidated and the optimum ratio of each influencing factor when tap water is used as a solvent was derived. The results showed that peak values of unconfined compressive strength (maximum increase of about 130 times), shear strength (increase of 27.09%), calcium carbonate precipitation value (increase of about 4.39 times), and permeability (decrease of about 93.72 times) were obtained in the specimens modified by EICP combined with admixture as compared to the specimens modified by EICP only. The incorporation of skimmed milk powder, though significantly increasing the strength, is not conducive to cost control. The microscopic tests show that the incorporation of admixtures can provide nucleation sites for EICP, thus improving the properties of desert sand. This work can provide new research ideas for cross-fertilization between the disciplines of bio-engineering, ecology, and civil engineering.

Previous studies have shown that people prefer risk-taking at the end of gambles, a phenomenon called the ending effect. By using the Guess Gambling Game, we investigated the impact of gain-loss status on the ending effect (Experiment 1) and whether and how this effect may be affected by time reference (Experiment 2) and gender (Experiment 1&2). In Experiment 1, we observed the ending effect only in the gain group. Furthermore, gender differences exist in the loss group behavior, females were more risk-averse than males, and males tend to investment more initially and then reduce their investment in a U-shaped pattern (Experiment 1&2). Next, in Experiment 2, the findings indicated that participants in the gain group made riskier decisions and were willing to allocate more money for additional decision opportunities, irrespective of the time conditions. Additionally, under time-limited condition, participants tended to make more decisions in the final round, aiming to maximize their choices times within the limited time. These results contribute to a better understanding of the boundary conditions surrounding the ending effect in risky decision-making and may offer a scientific basis for mitigating and intervening in irrational decision-making.

Bisabosqual-type meroterpenoids are fungi-derived polyketide-terpenoid hybrids bearing a 2,3,3a,3a1,9,9a-hexahydro-1H-benzofuro[4,3,2-cde]chromene skeleton (6/6/6/5 ring system) or its seco-C-ring structure, and exhibit diverse bioactivities. Their unique structural architecture and impressive biological activities have led to considerable interest in discovering new analogues. However, to date, only nine analogues have been identified. Herein, we reported the isolation and identification of six new bisabosqual-type meroterpenoids stachybisbins C-H (1-6), together with one known compound bisabosqual C (7), from Stachybotrys bisbyi PYH05-7. Intriguingly, we found that 7, which contains the intact tetracyclic skeleton, can be non-enzymatically converted into its seco derivative stachybisbin I (8), unveiling the biosynthetic relationship between bisabosquals and seco-bisabosquals. Moreover, based on CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene disruption, we revealed that the three-gene cluster responsible for the formation of LL-Z1272ß is associated with the biosynthesis of bisabosqual-type meroterpenoids, and then proposed a plausible route to 1-8.

BACKGROUND: Exposure to perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs) is known to be associated with metabolic disorders. However, whether PFAAs isomers are associated with metabolic syndrome (MetS) still remains unknown. OBJECTIVES: To explore the associations between serum PFAAs isomers and MetS. METHODS: We recruited 1,501 adults from a cross-sectional study, the "Isomers of C8 Health Project in China" to investigate the associations between PFAAs isomers and MetS. A total of 20 PFAAs including the isomers of PFOS and PFOA were detected. Logistic regression models and restricted cubic spline models were used to evaluate the relationship of serum PFAAs isomers exposure with MetS and its components as well after adjusting for covariates. RESULTS: The MetS prevalence in our study was 43.0%. The serum levels of both PFOS and PFOA isomers were higher in participants with MetS than that with non-MetS (p < 0.05). We found positive associations for per natural log-transformed ng/mL of branched perfluorooctane sulfonate (br-PFOS) (odds ratio (OR) = 1.18, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.01, 1.38)) linear perfluoronanoic acid (n-PFOA) (OR = 1.35, 95% CI: 1.16, 1.58) and perfluoro-6-methylpheptanoic acid (6 m-PFOA) (OR = 1.32, 95% CI: 1.11, 1.57) with higher odds of MetS after covariates adjustment, while null association was observed for linear isomers of PFOS (OR = 1.09, 95% CI: 0.94, 1.25). We found a nonlinear dose-response relationship with a "threshold" effect in serum br-PFOS isomers with MetS, in which the odds of MetS increased quickly with increasing serum br-PFOS isomers under low exposure (p for nonlinearity = 0.030). CONCLUSION: We report new evidence of associations between PFAAs isomers and MetS and the nonlinearity of dose-response relationship with br-PFOS isomers. Our findings indicate that more attention is needed to pay on the nonlinearity of dose-response relationship when investigate the association of PFAAs isomers with human health.

Loquat fruit is one of the most perishable fruits in China, and has a very limited shelf life because of mechanical injury and microbial decay. Due to an increasing concern about human health and environmental security, antagonistic microorganisms have been a potential alternative for fungicides to control postharvest diseases. In this work, the antifungal effect of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) produced by Bacillus methylotrophicus BCN2 and Bacillus thuringiensis BCN10 against five postharvest pathogens isolated from loquat fruit, Fusarium oxysporum, Botryosphaeria sp., Trichoderma atroviride, Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, and Penicillium expansum were evaluated by in vitro and in vivo experiments. As a result, the VOCs released by BCN2 and BCN10 were able to suppress the mycelial growth of all targeted pathogens according to inhibition ratio in the double petri-dish assay as well as disease incidence and disease diameter on loquat fruits. The main volatile compounds were identified by solid-phase microextraction (SPME)-gas chromatography. These VOCs produced by the two strains played complementary roles in controlling these five molds and enabled loquat fruits to keep fresh for ten days, significantly. This research will provide a theoretic foundation and technical support for exploring the functional components of VOCs applicable in loquat fruit preservation.

Studies of gene rearrangements and the consequent oncogenic fusion proteins have laid the foundation for targeted cancer therapy. To identify oncogenic fusions associated with glioma progression, we catalogued fusion transcripts by RNA-seq of 272 gliomas. Fusion transcripts were more frequently found in high-grade gliomas, in the classical subtype of gliomas, and in gliomas treated with radiation/temozolomide. Sixty-seven in-frame fusion transcripts were identified, including three recurrent fusion transcripts: FGFR3-TACC3, RNF213-SLC26A11, and PTPRZ1-MET (ZM). Interestingly, the ZM fusion was found only in grade III astrocytomas (1/13; 7.7%) or secondary GBMs (sGBMs, 3/20; 15.0%). In an independent cohort of sGBMs, the ZM fusion was found in three of 20 (15%) specimens. Genomic analysis revealed that the fusion arose from translocation events involving introns 3 or 8 of PTPRZ and intron 1 of MET. ZM fusion transcripts were found in GBMs irrespective of isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) mutation status. sGBMs harboring ZM fusion showed higher expression of genes required for PIK3CA signaling and lowered expression of genes that suppressed RB1 or TP53 function. Expression of the ZM fusion was mutually exclusive with EGFR overexpression in sGBMs. Exogenous expression of the ZM fusion in the U87MG glioblastoma line enhanced cell migration and invasion. Clinically, patients afflicted with ZM fusion harboring glioblastomas survived poorly relative to those afflicted with non-ZM-harboring sGBMs (P < 0.001). Our study profiles the shifting RNA landscape of gliomas during progression and reveled ZM as a novel, recurrent fusion transcript in sGBMs.

PURPOSE: To investigate the in vitro and in vivo antitumor effects of amarogentin in SNU-16 human gastric cancer cells as well as in nude mice xenograft model. The effects of this compound on cell apoptosis, cell cycle phase distribution and PI3K/Akt and m-TOR signalling pathways were also studied in detail. METHODS: MTT assay was used to study the effect of amarogentin on SNU-16 cell viability while clonogenic assay indicated the effect of the compound on colony formation tendency of these cells. Phase contrast microscopy revealed the effect on cellular morphology while flow cytometry was engaged to study the effects on cell apoptosis and cell cycle arrest. SNU-16 cancer cells were subcutaneously inoculated into nude mice to investigate the in vivo antitumor effects of amarogentin. RESULTS: Amarogentin induced potent, dose-dependent as well as time-dependent cytotoxic effects on the growth of SNU-16 human gastric cancer cells. Amarogentin also inhibited the colony forming capability of these tumor cells and its treatment led to morphological alterations in these cells in which the cells became withered and rounded, detached from one another and adopted irregular shapes while floating freely in the culture medium. In comparison to untreated control cells, the amarogentin treated cells with 10, 50 and 75 µM exhibited 32.5, 45.2 and 57.1 % apoptotic cells, respectively. Amarogentin induced potent and dose-dependent G2/M cell cycle arrest in these cells and led to downregulation of m-TOR, p-PI3K, PI3K, p-Akt and Akt and upregulation of cyclin D1 and cyclin E protein expressions. The tumor tissues obtained from the amarogentin-treated mice were much smaller than the tumor tissues derived from the control group. CONCLUSION: Amarogentin exerts potent in vitro and in vivo antitumor effects in SNU-16 cell model as well as in nude mice xenograft model. These antitumor effects were found to be mediated through apoptosis induction, G2/M cell cycle arrest and downregulation of PI3K/Akt/m-TOR signalling pathways.

Bacterial strain HV38(T) was isolated from mangrove soil, which was collected from Thailand. Chemotaxonomic and morphological characteristics were found to be typical of members of the genus Streptomyces. The strain was found to form a distinct phyletic line in the Streptomyces 16S rRNA gene tree and to be closely associated with the type strains of Streptomyces coeruleofuscus CGMCC 4.1667(T) (98.84 % sequence similarity), Streptomyces chromofuscus CGMCC 4.1451(T) (98.63 %) and Streptomyces albidoflavus CGMCC 4.1291(T) (98.56 %). The major menaquinones were identified as MK-9(H8) and MK-9(H10). Its major cellular fatty acids were found to be iso-C14:0, iso-C15:0, anteiso-C15:0, iso-C16:1ω8c, C16:0, anteiso-C16:1ω8c, iso-C16:0 and anteiso-C16:0. The DNA-DNA hybridization values between strain HV38(T) with S. coeruleofuscus CGMCC 4.1667(T), S. chromofuscus CGMCC 4.1451(T) and S. albidoflavus CGMCC 4.1291(T) were 32.7 ± 0.9, 21.8 ± 0.3 and 19.9 ± 0.9 %, respectively, which clearly supported the conclusion that they belong to separate genomic species. Cumulatively, the data indicated that strain HV38(T) represents a novel species of the genus Streptomyces, for which the name Streptomyces ferrugineus sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is HV38(T) (=CCTCC AA2014009(T )= DSM 42152(T)).

BACKGROUND: The "gray zone" of borderline hemoglobin A2 (Hb A2) may be present in a large section of the population, especially in countries where thalassemia is common. However, very little is currently known of the molecular basis of borderline Hb A2 in Chinese individuals. METHOD: In this study, we performed a comprehensive analysis of the globin genotypes and KLF1 gene mutations associated with borderline Hb A2 in 165 Chinese subjects. RESULT: Fifteen (9.1%) were positive for a molecular defect in the α-,ß-globin genes, of whom, α-thalassemia mutations and α-globin gene triplication were found in eleven cases, accounting for about 73.3% of these globin gene defects. Twenty (12.1%) were positive for a molecular defect in the KLF1 gene. Eight different mutations were identified, six of which are here reported for the first time. The most common is the G176AfsX179 mutation, accounting for 50% of the total. CONCLUSIONS: The molecular characterization of borderline Hb A2 in Chinese individuals is significantly different than in Italian population. Our data is conductive to provision of genetic counseling for Chinese individuals with borderline Hb A2.

BACKGROUND: The effects of brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) on the risk of cardiovascular disease and atherosclerosis have been studied. However, little information is available regarding peripheral arterial disease (PAD), particularly among subjects with type-2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The aim of our study was to assess the potential relationship between BNP levels and PAD among T2DM patients. METHODS: The study cohort was 507 T2DM outpatients in which BNP levels were measured. Cross-sectional associations between BNP levels (in tertiles) and PAD were examined. RESULTS: Compared withT2DM patients without PAD, BNP levels were markedly higher in patients with PAD (p = 0.001). Correlation analyses showed that the BNP level was negatively correlated with the ankle-brachial index (r = -0.453, p = 0.033). At a cutoff value of 78.2 pg/ml, the BNP level showed a sensitivity of 71.9%, a specificity of 68.1%, and a positive predictive value of 84.3% for a diagnosis of PAD. The area under the receiver-operating characteristic curve increased significantly if BNP levels were incorporated into a predictive model of the potential risk factors for PAD (0.85 vs 0.81, p = 0.029). CONCLUSIONS: BNP is a potential and promising biomarker for PAD screening in T2DM patients.

Mangroves are woody plants located in tropical and subtropical intertidal coastal regions. The mangrove ecosystem is becoming a hot spot for natural product discovery and bioactivity survey. Diverse mangrove actinomycetes as promising and productive sources are worth being explored and uncovered. At the time of writing, we report 73 novel compounds and 49 known compounds isolated from mangrove actinomycetes including alkaloids, benzene derivatives, cyclopentenone derivatives, dilactones, macrolides, 2-pyranones and sesquiterpenes. Attractive structures such as salinosporamides, xiamycins and novel indolocarbazoles are highlighted. Many exciting compounds have been proven as potential new antibiotics, antitumor and antiviral agents, anti-fibrotic agents and antioxidants. Furthermore, some of their biosynthetic pathways have also been revealed. This review is an attempt to consolidate and summarize the past and the latest studies on mangrove actinomycetes natural product discovery and to draw attention to their immense potential as novel and bioactive compounds for marine drugs discovery.

The aim of the present study was to find the most prevalent structural hemoglobin (Hb) variants in southern China and to present hematological and molecular data of abnormal Hbs in the population from southern China. The type and frequency of structural Hb variants and their hematological and molecular characteristics were identified in 131 individuals from 30,848 unrelated partners who were referred to the prenatal clinic of Dongguan Maternal & Children Health Hospital, Dongguan, Guangdong, People's Republic of China (PRC) from 2011 to 2013. α-Globin or ß-globin chain variants were screened using a capillary electrophoresis (CE) system, and α-globin or ß-globin gene mutations were confirmed using sequencing techniques. The gene frequency of Hb variants was 0.4% (131/30,848). The most common α-globin variants were Hb Constant Spring (Hb CS, HBA2: c.427T > C) (0.2%), followed by Hb Q-Thailand (HBA1: c.223G > C) and Hb G-Honolulu (HBA2: c.91G > C). The most common ß-globin variant was Hb E (HBB: c.79G > A) (0.09%), followed by Hb New York (HBB: c.341T > A). Our results provide a detailed prevalence and molecular characterization of abnormal Hbs in the population of the Dongguan region. These findings have important implications for a region with a high frequency of α- and ß-thalassemias.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of concurrent chemoradiotherapy for patients with locally advanced unresectable extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. METHODS: Thirty-eight patients with locally advanced unresectable extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma admitted in Shaoxing People's Hospital from February 2007 to February 2012 were enrolled in the study. They were randomized into sequential chemoradiotherapy (n=19) or concurrent chemoradiotherapy group (n=19). All patients were treated with intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT). Patients in concurrent chemoradiotherapy group received the regimen of gemcitabine plus oxaliplatin. Tumor response and adverse effects were observed periodically. The primary end points were disease progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS). RESULTS: The response rates of sequential chemoradiotherapy and concurrent chemoradiotherapy groups were 42.1% (8/19) and 63.2% (12/19). The disease control rates of them were 78.9% (15/19) and 84.2% (16/19)), respectively. The median PFS of sequential chemoradiotherapy group and concurrent chemoradiotherapy group was 8.3 (95%CI: 7.6-9.0) and 10.4 months (95%CI: 9.4-11.4, P=0.037), and the median OS in two groups were 14.2 (95%CI: 12.6-15.8) and 15.6 months (95%CI: 14.2-17.0, P=0.095), respectively. The major adverse reactions were controllable hematology toxicity and gastrointestinal reaction. There was no significant difference in incidence of adverse reactions between two groups (P>0.05). CONCLUSION: Sequential chemoradiotherapy and concurrent chemoradiotherapy may improve PFS and OS in patients with locally advanced unresectable extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, and both are well-tolerated. In addition, concurrent chemoradiotherapy might provide additional PFS benefit and would be preferable.

Background: Physical activity can alleviate negative emotions in college students by enhancing mood and cognitive functions. Yet, the mechanisms underlying these benefits remain unclear. Purpose: This study examines the association between physical activity and negative emotions-specifically, depression, anxiety, and stress-in college students. Additionally, we explore the mediating effects of psychological resilience and coping styles to offer theoretical and practical insights for mitigating students' negative emotions. Methods: Using a stratified random sampling approach, a total of 1,380 college students, from five universities in Hangzhou, Nanjing, and Wenzhou, were included in the analysis. The survey instruments included the Physical Activity Rating Scale, Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale, Simple Coping Style Scale, and Depression-Anxiety Stress Scale. The data were statistically analyzed using multivariate methods with IBM SPSS 25.0 and the PROCESS V3.3 plug-in. Results: (1) College students engage in a low level of physical activity, with male students participating significantly more than female students (p < 0.001). (2) Physical activity was significantly positively correlated with psychological resilience and positive coping styles (t = 9.126, p < 0.001; t = 23.087, p < 0.001) and overall negative correlated with negative emotions in college students (t = -3.601, p < 0.001). (3) Psychological resilience and positive coping styles were found to play a chain mediating role between physical activity and negative emotions. The mediation effect consists of two paths: physical activity → psychological resilience → negative emotions (effect value: -0.0324), and physical activity → psychological resilience → positive coping → negative emotions (effect value: -0.0099). (4) Female students demonstrated higher levels of positive coping (p < 0.001), while male students exhibited more negative emotions (p < 0.001). Conclusion: Our study identifies a significant indirect link, mediated by psychological resilience and positive coping styles, between physical activity and the reduction of negative emotions. Targeted interventions addressing gender differences, such as offering special courses and providing specialized exercise programs and emotional management strategies, can enhance psychological resilience and positive coping mechanisms. Consequently, these measures can alleviate the adverse effects of negative emotions. Our findings have broader implications for both research and practical interventions in promoting mental health among college students.

COVID-19 has posed unprecedented challenges to the mental health of college students worldwide. We examined the trends in students' stress levels during and after China's first wave of COVID-19 outbreaks by analyzing their demographics, behavior, mental health status, career confidence, and Chinese Perceived Stress Scale (CPSS) scores. Our findings indicate an increase in students' stress levels since the COVID-19 onset, with more students experiencing higher stress levels after the first outbreak than during it (OR = 2.03, 95% CI 1.79, 2.30). Several factors were identified as being associated with higher CPSS scores, including higher class levels, residence in rural or town areas, low family income, and lack of familiarity with COVID-19, among others. Our study highlighted the urgency of developing and implementing effective strategies to cope with students' stress during and after a global pandemic.

BACKGROUND: The interparental conflict has been associated with an increased adolescents' engagement in risk-taking behaviors. However, few studies have examined the potential mediation of deviant peer affiliation and the potential moderation of school climate. Grounded in the ecological system theory, this study aimed to explore the mediating role of deviant peer affiliation and the moderating role of school climate between the association of interparental conflict and risk-taking behavior. METHODS: This study conducted a longitudinal design (3 time points, 3 months apart) with the sample comprising 550 middle school students in southeastern China (52.91% males; mean age at Time 1 = 15.37). The performed measurements encompassed interparental conflict (T1), deviant peer affiliation (T2), school climate (T3), risk-taking behavior (T1/T2/T3), and demographic information. RESULTS: The moderated mediation model revealed that after controlling for T1/T2 risk-taking behavior, T1 interparental conflict was longitudinally and positively correlated with T3 risk-taking behavior through T2 deviant peer affiliation. Furthermore, moderated mediation analysis demonstrated that a positive school climate ameliorated the adverse impact of deviant peer affiliation on risk-taking behavior, thereby mitigating the indirect effect of interparental conflict on risk-taking behavior among adolescents. CONCLUSIONS: Our findings propose a nuanced explanation of the processing mechanisms between interparental conflict and risk-taking behaviors among Chinese adolescents. The theoretical and practical implications of the findings are discussed.

Objective: This study investigated factors influencing the knowledge, attitudes, practice profiles, and vaccination intentions among Chinese nursing students and nursing interns toward the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccination. Materials and Methods: The multicenter cross-sectional study was based on a self-reported questionnaire collecting information among nursing students and nursing interns from three major geographic regions of China, and the sample was selected by consecutive sampling. The questionnaire was developed by knowledge, attitudes, and practice (KAP) theory. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression were used for statistical analysis. Results: A total of 3180 nursing students and interns (effective rate: 99.8%) from six Chinese provinces were polled. The vaccine hesitation rate was 9.65% (307/3180), 2230 participants (70.1%) had gotten at least one dose of the vaccine, and 643 participants (67.7%) had indicated a readiness to be vaccinated. The results showed that older age, higher academic background, perfect vaccine management, others' recommendations, influenza vaccination history, epidemic under control, knowledge of vaccines or intervals, and vaccine knowledge training were associated with higher vaccination rates. Conversely, vaccine hesitancy was caused by a perceived lack of physical need, uncertainty about vaccination requirements, and fear of vaccination. Conclusion: This study provided population-based estimates of COVID-19 vaccine uptake intention among mainland Chinese nursing students and interns. Factors such as age, education, vaccine knowledge, and attitudes influence COVID-19 vaccine behaviour. Relevant authorities should understand the barriers to COVID-19 vaccination from knowledge, attitude and practice, which is significant for formulating effective response strategies in future global public health crises.

BACKGROUND/AIM: Acute exogenous lipoid pneumonia (AELP) is a rare disorder caused by intake of lipid formulations and is often underdiagnosed. Meanwhile, the mechanism of AELP is still underlying. MCC950, was previously found to significantly suppress the release of inflammatory cytokines IL-18 and IL-1ß. However, the effect of MCC950 on AELP induced by sewing machine oil has not been reported. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The NLRP3, NF-[Formula: see text]B p65, caspase-1 and IL-1ß expression in lung tissues were compared between a rat model of AELP and control rats using western blotting and real-time quantitative assay. Moreover, haematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining was performed to elucidate the mechanisms by which MCC950 ameliorates sewing machine oil-induced AELP in vivo. RESULTS: MCC950 reduced the expression of NF-[Formula: see text]B p65 in the lung samples of the treatment group and further down-regulated the NLRP3 and caspase-1 levels while inhibited the production of IL-1ß. Besides, decreases in inflammatory cell infiltration in the lung were shown using H&E staining. CONCLUSION: MCC950 ameliorates sewing machine oil-induced acute exogenous lipoid pneumonia in rats through inhibition of the NF-[Formula: see text]B/NLRP3 inflammasome pathway.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of sodium hydrosulfide (NaHS) on Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced cardiomyocyte injury in H9c2 cells. Methods: H9c2 cardiomyocytes cultivated with medium containing 10 µg/mL LPS were used to recapitulate the phenotypes of those in sepsis. Two sequential experiments were performed. The first contained a control group, a LPS group, and a LPS + NaHS group, with the aim to assure the protective effects of NaHS on LPS-treated cardiomyocytes. The second experiment added a fourth group, the LPS + NaHS + miR-133a-3p inhibition group, with the aim to preliminarily explore whether miR-133-3p exerts a protective function downstream of NaHS. The adenosine triphosphate (ATP) kit was used to detect ATP content; real-time quantitative polynucleotide chain reaction (qPCR) was used to measure the levels of mammalian targets of rapamycin (mTOR), AMP-dependent protein kinase (AMPK), and miR-133a-3p, and Western blot (WB) was used to detect protein levels of mTOR, AMPK, myosin-like Bcl2 interacting protein (Beclin-1), microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 (LC3I/II), and P62 (sequestosome-1, sqstm-1/P62). Results: Compared with the control group, the expressions of miR-133a-3p (P < 0.001), P62 (P < 0.001), and the content of ATP (P < 0.001) decreased, while the expressions of Beclin-1 (P = 0.023) and LC3I/II (P = 0.048) increased in the LPS group. Compared with the LPS group, the expressions of miR-133a-3p (P < 0.001), P62 (P < 0.001), and the content of ATP (P < 0.001) in the NaHS + LPS group increased, while the expressions of Beclin-1 (P = 0.023) and LC3I/II (P = 0.022) decreased. Compared with the NaHS + LPS group, the expression levels of miR-133a-3p (P < 0.001), P62 (P = 0.001), and the content of ATP (P < 0.001) in the LPS + NaHS + miR-133a-3p inhibition group were downregulated, and the expression levels of Beclin-1 (P = 0.012) and LC3I/II (P = 0.010) were upregulated. The difference was statistically significant. There was no significant difference in the expression of AMPK and mTOR between groups. Conclusion: Our research demonstrated that NaHS relieved LPS-induced myocardial injury in H9c2 by promoting the expression of miR-133a-3p, inhibiting autophagy in cardiomyocytes, and restoring cellular ATP levels.
