RESUMO
Fast radio bursts (FRBs) are millisecond-duration radio transients of unknown physical origin observed at extragalactic distances1-3. It has long been speculated that magnetars are the engine powering repeating bursts from FRB sources4-13, but no convincing evidence has been collected so far14. Recently, the Galactic magnetar SRG 1935+2154 entered an active phase by emitting intense soft γ-ray bursts15. One FRB-like event with two peaks (FRB 200428) and a luminosity slightly lower than the faintest extragalactic FRBs was detected from the source, in association with a soft γ-ray/hard-X-ray flare18-21. Here we report an eight-hour targeted radio observational campaign comprising four sessions and assisted by multi-wavelength (optical and hard-X-ray) data. During the third session, 29 soft-γ-ray repeater (SGR) bursts were detected in γ-ray energies. Throughout the observing period, we detected no single dispersed pulsed emission coincident with the arrivals of SGR bursts, but unfortunately we were not observing when the FRB was detected. The non-detection places a fluence upper limit that is eight orders of magnitude lower than the fluence of FRB 200428. Our results suggest that FRB-SGR burst associations are rare. FRBs may be highly relativistic and geometrically beamed, or FRB-like events associated with SGR bursts may have narrow spectra and characteristic frequencies outside the observed band. It is also possible that the physical conditions required to achieve coherent radiation in SGR bursts are difficult to satisfy, and that only under extreme conditions could an FRB be associated with an SGR burst.
RESUMO
Objective: To investigate long-term health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and related factors in children with severe hemophilia A (HA) who received regular low-dose prophylaxis. Methods: Clinical data of severe HA children who began to receive regular low-dose coagulation factor â § (Fâ §) prophylaxis in Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2011 were retrospectively enrolled. The longest last follow-up period was May 31, 2023. The attendance of school or work and daily physical activity during the last follow-up were investigated. The patients were divided into full attendance group and incomplete attendence group according to attendance. The patients were divided into into exercise attainment group (reached Chinese sports recommendation) and exercise nonattainment group according to the exercise status. Barthel score was used to assess activities of daily living and Haemo-QoL was used to assess quality of life. Long-term HRQoL for children aged 8-16 years and patients aged 17 years and above were assessed using Haemo-QoL SF and Haem-A-QoL versions, respectively. Spearman correlation analysis was used to examine the correlation between treatment conditions and Haemo-QoL scores. Results: A total of 22 cases were enrolled, the prophylaxis initiation age ranged from 1.8-17.9 (10.4±3.8) years old. The average prophylactic Fâ § dose during low-dose prophylaxis was 24.2 U/kg per week and the follow-up time was 6.3-15.1 (9.6±2.8) years. At the last follow-up, the age of the patients was (20.2±5.4) years, of which 14 (63.6%) were adults over 18 years old. There were 15 patients in the full attendance group and 7 patients in the incomplete attendence group. Compared with the full attendance group, the incomplete attendence group had a smaller preventive treatment dose [M(Q1, Q3), (28.4±11.1) vs (15.3±3.7) U/kg, P=0.012], shorter preventive treatment time [148. 1 (18.6, 346.5) vs 48.0 (32.0, 156.9) weeks, P=0.017], and higher annual joint bleeding rate (AJBR) [12.5 (6.0, 22.3) vs 14.2 (13.2, 17.8) times, P=0.017]. There were 7 cases in the exercise attainment group and 15 cases in the exercise nonattainment group. Compared to the exercise attainment group, the exercise nonattainment group had shorter preventive treatment time[313. 7 (156.9, 366.0) vs 48.0 (16.5, 108.9) weeks, P=0.006], a higher AJBR [7.0 (5.1, 10.0) vs 23.3 (12.5, 29.8), P=0.003] and a higher hemophilia joint health score (HJHS) [9.0 (2.0, 15.5) vs 23.0 (12.0, 27.8), P=0.014]. Barthel score showed 81.8% (18 cases) of the patients' living ability was not influenced by the illness. In Haemo-QoL score, the total score of Haemo-QoL SF in 7 cases was (47.6±17.0) scores, the total score of Haem-A-QoL in 15 cases was (45.2±22.6) scores. The daily activity dimension of the Haem-A-QoL score was the lowest [38.2 (10.9, 45.5) scores], which was positively correlated with the starting age of prophylactic initiation (r=0.501, P=0.057), and negatively correlated with the duration of prophylaxis (r=-0.545, P=0.036). Conclusions: Regular low-dose prophylaxis could improve the long-term HRQoL of some children with severe HA, and children with higher prophylactic doses and longer prophylactic treatment time have higher quality of life.

Objective: To analyze the survival and prognosis of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) patients receiving standard first-line therapy. Methods: Data of clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes of patients with HL diagnosed in Cancer Hospital Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CHCAMS) from January 1st, 2000 to December 31st, 2018 who received standard first-line treatment were retrospectively analyzed and compared with that of HL patients who received treatment in the Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) database in the United States during the same period. Factors associated with freedom from progression (FFP) of patients in CHCAMS were analyzed. Treatment and survival data of patients with relapsed/refractory HL (r/rHL) who had failed the standard first-line treatment during the corresponding period in CHCAMS were collected to analyze the outcomes of salvage therapy. Results: A total of 764 HL patients in CHCAMS were included in this study. The median age was 30 years (range, 14-83 years), with 424 males and 340 females. By February 26th, 2022, the patients were followed-up for a median time of 111 months(range, 0.3-262.0 months). Lymphoma-specific survival (LSS) rate and overall survival (OS) rate at 10 years for HL patients in CHCAMS was 91.7% (95%CI: 89.5%-93.9%) and 87.1% (95%CI: 84.5%-89.8%), respectively. LSS and OS rate at 10 years for HL patients from SEER database was 86.8% (95%CI: 86.3%-87.2%) and 79.0% (95%CI: 78.5%-79.5%), respectively. The unadjusted LSS and OS rate for patients in CHCAMS were higher than those for patients from SEER database (both P<0.001). No significant difference was observed in LSS and OS rate (both P>0.05) between the two groups after adjustment. European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer staging system (early-stage unfavorable: HR=2.35, 95%CI: 1.13-4.89, P=0.023; advanced stage: HR=5.44, 95%CI: 2.62-11.30, P<0.001) and serum ß2 microglobulin (HR=1.67, 95%CI: 1.08-2.58, P=0.021) were influencing factors of FFP for patients in CHCAMS. The complete remission rate, median progression-free survival (PFS), 5-year PFS rate and 5-year OS rate for the 116 patients with r/rHL was 37.9% (95%CI: 29.6%-47.0%), 15.0 months (95%CI: 9.9-20.1 months), 29.9% (95%CI: 20.9%-38.9%) and 62.9% (95%CI: 54.1%-71.7%), respectively. Conclusions: The outcomes of HL patients receiving standard first-line treatment are excellent. However, the therapeutic effect of HL patients who incurrs disease progression or relapse after standard first-line treatment is not satisfying.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the role of growth arrest-specific protein 6 (Gas6) in the process of the migration and osteogenic differentiation of human periodontal ligament cells (hPDLCs). METHODS: After different concentrations of recombinant human Gas6 (rhGas6) were added to hPDLCs, cell prolife-ration experiment (CCK-8) was taken to observe the effect of rhGas6 on hPDLCs cell proliferation. Scratch test and cell migration test (Transwell) were taken to analyze the migratory ability of hPDLCs in different concentrations of rhGas6 groups. After osteogenic induction, real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (real-time PCR) was taken to detect the expression of the Runt-related transcription factor 2 (Runx2) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP). ALP staining was used to detect the amount of mineralized nodules. RESULTS: After adding different concentrations of rhGas6, there were no statistically significant differences in hPDLCs cell proliferation among the experimental groups and the control group at 24, 48 and 72 hours (P>0.05). After 24 h of scratch, the healing area in the 800 µg/L of the rhGas6 group was greater than that in the control group, but without statistically significant difference (31.06%±13.70% vs. 21.79%±9.51%, P>0.05). In the migration test, after 24 h, the number of hPDLCs cells which penetrated through the membrane in the 800 µg/L rhGas6 group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P < 0.01). After rhGas6 was added and osteogenic induction, Runx2 and ALP gene expressions of hPDLCs in the 800 µg/L group were significantly higher than those in the control group (1.60±0.30 vs. 0.91±0.10, 2.81±0.61 vs. 0.86±0.12, P < 0.01). After Gas6 was knocked down, the ALP expression of hPDLCs was significantly lower than that of the control group (0.39±0.07 vs. 0.92±0.14, P < 0.01). There was no significant change in Runx2 expression (P>0.05). After 7 days of osteogenic induction, the mineralized nodules formed in the Gas6 knockdown group were significantly less than those in control group (0.25±0.04 vs. 1.00±0.11, P < 0.001). After 14 days of induction, the staining degree of the Gas6 knockdown group was lower than that of the control group, but there was no significant difference (0.86±0.04 vs. 1.00±0.16, P>0.05). CONCLUSION: After downregulation of Gas6 gene, mineralized nodule formation was reduced and ALP gene expressions were decreased in the early stage of osteogenic induction (7 days). After addition of rhGas6, Runx2 and ALP gene expressions were increased and the number of cell migration was increased, suggesting that Gas6 might play a promoting role in the migration and osteogenic differentiation of human periodontal ligament cells.

Objective: To investigate the efficacy and prognosis of the dynamic monitoring lymphocyte to monocyte ratio (LMR) in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Methods: The clinical data of 261 patients with DLBCL in the Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Zhengzhou University between March 2012 to March 2018, were analyzed retrospectively. The optimal cut-off values of LMR was determined using the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) method. Patients were divided into low LMR group and high LMR group according to the optimal cut-off value. The changes of LMR before and after treatment in two groups were dynamically monitored, and the relationship between LMR and efficacy and survival were analyzed. Results: Complete remission (CR) rate in patients with high LMR (64.7%) before treatment was significantly higher than that in patients with low LMR (33.3%) (P<0.05). Compared with the 5-year overall survival(OS) and progress free survival(PFS) (56.96% and 43.55%, respectively) in the low LMR group, the 5-year OS and PFS (82.92% and 66.25%, respectively) in the high LMR group were higher, and the difference was statistically significant (all P<0.05). Patients with elevated LMR after treatment in the high or low LMR group had a significant higher 5-year OS and PFS compared with patients with LMR reduction(P<0.05). LMR in both high and low LMR group were significantly lower at the last follow-up than those at the disease recurrence (all P<0.05). Both single and multivariate analyses showed that low LMR was an independent prognostic factor in patients with DLBCL (all P<0.05). Conclusions: LMR can be used as an indicator of risk stratification, efficacy, disease replase and prognosis in patients with DLBCL. Low LMR before and after treatment were poor prognostic factors in patients with DLBCL.

To investigate the characteristics of immune cells before and after immunotherapy and their clinical significance in patients with unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion (URSA), an analysis of 67 URSA patients, 67 sporadic spontaneous abortion (SA) patients, and 22 normal nonpregnant women (as controls) was conducted. URSA patients underwent immunotherapy using paternal lymphocytes. Peripheral blood from patients and controls was examined for lymphocytes and other markers of immune status. Before the immunotherapy, lymphocyte counts, CD4:CD8 cell ratios, and the relative proportion of natural killer (NK) cells were significantly higher in the URSA patient group than in the SA patient and control groups (P < 0.05). After the therapy, all of these three measures were decreased, whereas the percentage of T cells was increased, and statistically significant differences before and after the immunotherapy were detected (P < 0.05). Therefore, the immune system appears to be activated in the URSA patients, and the abnormal immunologic state in the URSA patients is more severe than in the SA patients. The alterations in T and NK cells may be involved in the etiopathogenesis of URSA. Lymphocyte immunotherapy appears to be an effective treatment for URSA patients.

Objective: To investigate and analyze the allocation status of oral health resources in Yunnan Province at the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan, providing a scientific basis for the rational resource allocation and formulation regional oral health plan for government health administrative departments. Methods: With the method of general survey, a cross-sectional study was conducted to investigate the allocation of material and human resources of all kinds of stomatological medical institutions registered in the health administrative departments in Yunnan before January 1, 2020. The general situation of oral health resources was analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis. Results: There were 2 712 stomatological medical institutions in Yunnan, 634 public and 2 078 non-public included. The largest number was in Kunming (1 167) and the least in Diqing (19). There were 9 018 dental chairs in total, among which 2 584 in public and 6 434 in non-public. Kunming had the largest number of chairs (3 612) and Nujiang had the least (57). There were 702 oral and maxillofacial surgical beds, all of which were distributed in public. There were 15 148 stomatological personnel, including 3 667 in public and 11 481 in non-public. The average ratio of stomatologist to population was 1â¶6 615. Dehong (1â¶6 620) was close to this average level, while Kunming (1â¶2 283) and Yuxi (1â¶4 936) were lower than the average and the other 13 states (cities) were higher. The population ratio of licensed stomatologist was only 1â¶9 110. The average ratio of stomatologist to nurses was 1â¶0.94. Honghe (1â¶1.05), Kunming (1â¶1.00), Yuxi (1â¶1.18) and Qujing (1â¶0.94) was better than or reached the average level, while the other 13 states (cities) were lower than this average. And this ratio in public comprehensive medical institutions was only 1â¶0.38. Conclusions: The distribution of oral health resources in Yunnan was unbalanced between public and non-public institutions and among states (cities), mainly distributed in economically developed states (cities) and non-public institutions. For the oral health in Yunnan Province, the workforce was insufficient and the structure was unreasonable, and the proportion of nurses was seriously insufficient in public comprehensive medical institutions.

Interleukin (IL)-12 and granulocyte-monocyte colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) have recently been used as immunotherapeutic agents in cancer gene therapy. IL-12 and GM-CSF have differential roles in the antitumor immune response, as IL-12 targets T, NK and natural killer T (NKT) cells and GM-CSF principally targets antigen-presenting cells (APCs). To strengthen the therapeutic efficacy of these two cytokines, we generated an oncolytic adenovirus (Ad), Ad-ΔB7/IL12/GMCSF, coexpressing IL-12 and GM-CSF. Using a murine B16-F10 syngeneic tumor model, we show that Ad-ΔB7/IL12/GMCSF promoted antitumor responses and increased survival compared with an oncolytic Ad expressing IL-12 or GM-CSF alone (Ad-ΔB7/IL12 or Ad-ΔB7/GMCSF, respectively). By measuring cytotoxic T lymphocyte activity and interferon-γ production, we show that the enhanced therapeutic effect was mediated by the induction of immune cell cytotoxicity. In situ delivery of Ad-ΔB7/IL12/GMCSF resulted in massive infiltration of CD4(+) T cells, CD8(+) T cells, NK cells and CD86(+) APCs into the tissue surrounding the necrotic area of the tumor. Moreover, GM-CSF effectively promoted antitumor immune memory, which was significantly augmented by IL-12. Lastly, IL12-expressing oncolytic Ads prevented tumor-induced thymic atrophy and was associated with reduced apoptosis and increased proliferation in the thymus. Taken together, these data demonstrate that an oncolytic Ad coexpressing IL-12 and GM-CSF is a potential therapeutic tool for the treatment of cancer.

AIM: To evaluate the added value of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) combined with conventional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the detection of new, very small hepatocellular carcinoma lesions (≤1 cm) in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma following interventional therapy compared to conventional MRI alone. MATERIALS AND METHODS: After interventional therapy, 45 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma underwent conventional MRI and DWI with a b-value of 0 and 700 s/mm(2). Twenty-one new, small hepatocellular carcinoma lesions were confirmed in 16 patients at follow-up MRI. Two observers independently retrospectively analysed the two imaging sets in random order. The diagnostic performance using each imaging set was evaluated by received operating characteristic curve analysis. RESULTS: Twenty-one new, very small hepatocellular carcinoma lesions found in 16 patients was confirmed as the final result. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of the DWI/conventional MRI combination (observer 1, 0.952; observer 2, 0.976) and conventional MRI images alone (observer 1, 0.905; observer 2, 0.905) were statistically significant. The kappa value of the DWI/conventional MRI combination was 0.884, and that of conventional MRI was 0.722. Among the 21 lesions, 100% (21/21) of the lesions were both recognized by two independent reviewers on DWI, while only 76% (16/21) and 71% (15/21) of the lesions were regarded as very small hepatocellular carcinomas on conventional MRI. CONCLUSION: Due to the higher detection rate of new subcentimetre lesions in hepatocellular carcinoma patients following interventional therapy, DWI could be considered complementary to conventional MRI in the diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma.

The oncolytic adenovirus (Ad) is currently being advanced as a promising antitumor remedy as it selectively replicates in tumor cells and can transfer and amplify therapeutic genes. Interleukin (IL)-12 induces a potent antitumor effect by promoting natural killer (NK) cell and cytotoxic T cell activities. IL-18 also augments cytotoxicity of NK cells and proliferation of T cells. This effect further enhances the function of IL-12 in a synergistic manner. Therefore, we investigated for the first time an effective cancer immunogene therapy of syngeneic tumors via intratumoral administration of oncolytic Ad co-expressing IL-12 and IL-18, RdB/IL-12/IL-18. Intratumoral administration of RdB/IL-12/IL-18 improved antitumor effects, as well as increased survival, in B16-F10 murine melanoma model. The ratio of T-helper type 1/2 cytokine as well as the levels of IL-12, IL-18, interferon-γ and granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor was markedly elevated in RdB/IL-12/IL-18-treated tumors. Mice injected with RdB/IL-12/IL-18 also showed enhanced cytotoxicity of tumor-specific immune cells. Consistent with these results, immense necrosis and infiltration of NK cells, as well as CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, were observed in RdB/IL-12/IL-18-treated tumor tissues. Importantly, tumors treated with RdB/IL-12/IL-18 showed an elevated number of T cells expressing IL-12Rß2 or IL-18Rα. These results provide a new insight into therapeutic mechanisms of IL-12 plus IL-18 and provide a potential clinical cancer immunotherapeutic agent for improved antitumor immunity.

Pathological scars cause both local physical discomforts and mental disorders for patients. With the development of research, botulinum toxin type A (BTX-A) has been gradually used in the clinical treatment of scars. This article summarizes three potential mechanisms of BTX-A, including early tension reduction, inhibition of connective tissue hyperplasia, and alleviation of skin inflammation, as well as the clinical application of BTX-A in treating different types of scars. However, at present there is no uniform standard for the time, method, and proportioning of BTX-A injection for scar treatment, and there is also a lack of long-term follow-up results. Further researches are needed in future to clarify the mechanism of BTX-A in inhibiting scars, establish a uniform protocol of BTX-A injection, and provide a more effective treatment plan for scars.

The Christian missionaries preached through medicine by combining religious preaching with secularisation and social adaptiveness of medicine in the 19th century. They attempted to avoid the negative influence of culture differences between the West and China. Desjacques Marin, one of the missionaries in China, was entrusted by Benoit Edan, a French consul in Shanghai to establish a hospital in 1864, named the "General Hospital". This hospital was moved to the north bank of Suzhou Creek in 1877 and renamed as the Gongji Hospital. The hospital was designated by the Japanese Army in 1940 as a hospital for sick foreign prisoners in the war. It was taken over as an enemy property by the government of the Republic of China in 1945 and became a public hospital opened formally to Chinese patients. It was renamed as "Shanghai First People's Hospital" in 1953. Review of the historical changes of the missionary hospital is of significance for the study on Chinese medical history and medical communication between China and the West.

Constrained by the Nielsen-Ninomiya no-go theorem, in all so-far experimentally determined Weyl semimetals (WSMs) the Weyl points (WPs) always appear in pairs in the momentum space with no exception. As a consequence, Fermi arcs occur on surfaces which connect the projections of the WPs with opposite chiral charges. However, this situation can be circumvented in the case of unpaired WP, without relevant surface Fermi arc connecting its surface projection, appearing singularly, while its Berry curvature field is absorbed by nontrivial charged nodal walls. Here, combining angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy with density functional theory calculations, we show experimentally that a singular Weyl point emerges in PtGa at the center of the Brillouin zone (BZ), which is surrounded by closed Weyl nodal walls located at the BZ boundaries and there is no Fermi arc connecting its surface projection. Our results reveal that nontrivial band crossings of different dimensionalities can emerge concomitantly in condensed matter, while their coexistence ensures the net topological charge of different dimensional topological objects to be zero. Our observation extends the applicable range of the original Nielsen-Ninomiya no-go theorem which was derived from zero dimensional paired WPs with opposite chirality.
RESUMO
OBJECTIVE: The warm ischemia-reperfusion injury confines the prevalence of allografts. To improve the success rate of allotransplantation, we designed experiments to study the mechanism of calcium-calmodulin-dependent protein kinase type 2 (CaMK II) in ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We established the I/R model in SD rats and performed the liver transplantation (LT). As a result, the expression of CaMK II in tissues was detected. CaMK II was interfered with and overexpressed by the transference of the lentivirus vector, and the hepatocyte apoptosis and viability were inspected. At the same time, the content of cytochrome c and apoptosis-inducing factor (AIF) were determined. The measurement of mitochondrial membrane potential and detection of intercellular calcium levels were performed. RESULTS: The expression of CaMK II significantly increased and is highly corresponded with the duration of warm ischemia. In BRL-3A cells and liver tissues, increased cellular apoptosis and less viability had been observed in the CaMK II overexpression group. Cytochrome c and AIF were also largely increased compared to the interfered group. Moreover, apparent mitochondrial membrane potential loss has also been detected in the CaMK II overexpression group. CONCLUSIONS: It suggested that CaMK II induces cell apoptosis. Our findings may give a novel indication that inhibition of CaMK II could be a new way for the therapy of warm ischemia-reperfusion injury after LT in future clinical practice.

Objective: To explore the application of endoscopy and clinical effect of endoscopic resection of benign tumor in infratemporal fossa. Methods: The clinical data of 11 patients with benign tumors in infratemporal fossa admitted to the Department of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and Skull Base Surgery of the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University from January 2016 to September 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. There were 6 males and 5 females, with the age ranging from 11 to 63 years old. The main clinical manifestations were pharyngeal foreign body sensation, submaxillary pain, maxillofacial numbness and tongue numbness. Imaging examination showed that the tumor was round and had a clear boundary with the surrounding tissue. All the patients underwent endoscopic surgery. Appropriate surgical approach was selected according to the location of the tumor and its relationship with the internal carotid artery. The endoscopic surgical approaches included trans-oropharyngeal approach in 7 cases, trans-lateral pterygomandibular raphe approach in 1 case and trans-medial pterygomandibular raphe approach in 3 cases. The pathological results, prognosis, complications and relapse of patients were summarized through descriptive statistics. Results: The tumors were completely resected under endoscope in all patients, and there was no significant complication occurred after surgery. The average pain VAS score was 3.1 after surgery and average hospital stay was 5.9 d. The postoperative pathological diagnoses consisted of 6 cases of pleomorphic adenoma, 4 cases of neurilemmoma and 1 case of basal cell adenoma. All patients were followed up regularly from 6 to 39 months without recurrence of tumor. Conclusion: Endoscopic resection of benign tumors in infratemporal fossa has the advantages of minimal damage, rapid recovery, few complications, and definite curative effect, which can be used as an important alternative for surgical treatment of benign tumors.

Several bioactive molecules isolated from the saliva of blood-sucking arthropods, such as mosquitoes, have been shown to exhibit potential anticoagulant function. We have previously identified a 30kDa allergen named Aegyptin-like protein (alALP), which is highly homologous to Aegyptin, from the salivary glands of female Aedes albopictus (Asian tiger mosquito). In this study, we identified the conserved functional domain of alALP by using bioinformatic tools, and expressed the His-tagged alALP recombinant protein in sf9 insect cells by generation and transfection of a baculoviral expression plasmid carrying the fulllength cDNA of alALP. We purified this recombinant protein and examined its function on the inhibition of blood coagulation. The results showed that the purified His-alALP prolonged the Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time (APTT), Prothrombin Time (PT) and Thrombin Time (TT) in vitro as well as the Bleeding Time (BT) in vivo, which suggest that alALP could be a novel anticoagulant.

Objective:To analyze the distribution of allergens and the risk factors in patients with allergic rhinitis in Qingdao area. Method:Two hundred and sixteen patients diagnosed with allergic rhinitis and 49 healthy volunteers were admitted to the outpatient clinic of the Otolaryngology Department of the three branches of Qingdao University Affiliated Hospital in Qingdao from August 2018 to March 2019. A total of 271 patientsï¼5-84 years oldï¼ were included in the epidemiological investigation. The study conducted a skin stinging test of inhalation allergens. In addition, the questionnaire of allergic disease and self-examination of dust mite allergy were carried out for each group of patients, and the results were analyzed and counted. Result:â In 216 patients with allergic rhinitis, the top six inhalation allergens were dust mitesï¼55.0%ï¼, house dust mitesï¼46.1%ï¼, tropical mitesï¼21.8%ï¼, dog hairï¼16.6%ï¼, Artemisia halodendronï¼13.3%ï¼, and German cockroachesï¼10.3%ï¼. â¡Inhalation allergens, the degree of positive of house dust mites and dust mites were mainlyï¼+++ï¼, the degree of positive of Artemisia halodendron were mainlyï¼+++ï¼ andï¼++++ï¼, and the degree of positive of other allergens were mainlyï¼++ï¼. â¢There were statistically significant differences in the positive rates of inhalation allergens in different age groups, and the positive rates of inhalation allergens gradually decreased with age after adulthood. â£The single factor and multi-factor logical regression analysis all showed that the history of smoking, family history, age less than 18 years, and 18-40 years old were closely related to the occurrence of allergic rhinitisï¼P<0.05ï¼. â¤Using Spearson-related analysis and loess regression analysis, it was found that with the increase of dust mite self-examination score, the positive rate of dust mite increased significantly. Conclusion:The most important inhalation allergens of patients with allergic rhinitis in Qingdao area are dust mites, dog hair and artemisinin. The positive rate of inhalation allergens is influenced by age and there are certain rules in them. Smoking history, family history, age and other factors are risk factors for allergic rhinitis. The dust mite self-examination score can predict the occurrence of dust mite allergy.

OBJECTIVE: MicroRNA-338-3p (miR-338-3p) was reported to influence the metastasis and development of several human cancers. However, in bladder cancer (BC), the special function of miR-338-3p remains unknown. Here, we aimed at exploring the miR-338-3p function in the progression of BC. PATIENTS AND METHODS: miR-338-3p and ETS1 expressions were examined by quantitative Real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) in BC samples. Following that, transwell assays for cell migration and invasion were performed. And MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide) assay for cell proliferation was conducted as well. Western blot was employed to examine the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) marker expressions. Finally, the relationship between miR-338-3p and E26 transformation specific-1 (ETS1) was verified by luciferase reporter assay. RESULTS: The decreased miR-338-3p expression was examined in BC cells. Moreover, miR-338-3p upregulation repressed cell proliferation ability in BC. Next, miR-338-3p upregulation also depressed cell metastasis and EMT in BC cells. Furthermore, ETS1 was a direct target of miR-338-3p and inversely associated with its expression. And upregulation of ETS1 partially rescued the suppression of miR-338-3p for cell proliferation and metastasis in BC. CONCLUSIONS: Upregulation of miR-338-3p inhibited the proliferation, metastasis and EMT in BC by suppressing ETS, showing that miR-338-3p might block the development of BC through regulating ETS1 expression.
