RESUMO
The exceptional photoelectromagnetic characteristics of rare-earth elements contribute significantly to their indispensable position in the high-tech industry. The exponential expansion of the demand for high-purity rare earth and related compounds can be attributed to the swift advancement of contemporary technology. Nevertheless, rare-earth elements are finite and limited resources, and their excessive mining unavoidably results in resource depletion and environmental degradation. Hence, it is crucial to establish a highly effective approach for the extraction and reclamation of rare-earth elements. Adsorption is regarded as a promising technique for the recovery of rare-earth elements owing to its simplicity, environmentally friendly nature, and cost-effectiveness. The efficacy of adsorption is contingent upon the performance characteristics of the adsorbent material. Presently, there is a prevalent utilization of porous adsorbent materials with substantial specific surface areas and plentiful surface functional groups in the realm of selectively separating and recovering rare-earth elements. This paper presents a thorough examination of porous inorganic carbon materials, porous inorganic silicon materials, porous organic polymers, and metal-organic framework materials. The adsorption performance and processes for rare-earth elements are the focal points of discussion about these materials. Furthermore, this work investigates the potential applications of porous materials in the domain of the adsorption of rare-earth elements.
RESUMO
This study assesses the status of outcome measures in the randomized controlled trial(RCT) involving the kidney-tonif-ying and blood-activating method for treating knee osteoarthritis(KOA), aiming to establish a theoretical foundation for the development of a core set of outcome measures in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) treatment of KOA. The relevant articles were retrieved from CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, SinoMed, PubMed, EMbase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science, in addition to ClinicalTrials.gov and the China Clinical Trial Registration Center, with the time interval from inception to August 2023. The RCT of treating KOA with the kidney-tonifying and blood-activating method was included. Two assessors independently conducted literature screening, data collection, and qualitative analysis to compile the outcome measure results. A total of 350 RCTs were included, involving 165 outcome measures with the total frequency of 1 462. These outcome measures were categorized into six domains: symptom and sign measures(23) with the frequency of 718(49.1%), TCM symptom and syndrome measures(3) with the frequency of 53(3.6%), physical examination measures(130) with the frequency of 506(34.6%), quality of life measures(4) with the frequency of 20(1.3%), long-term efficacy measures(2) with the frequency of 6(0.4%), and safety measures(3) with the frequency of 159(10.9%). Additionally, 53 studies used TCM syndrome and symptom scores as indicators of efficacy, employing eight distinct measurement tools. The RCTs involving the kidney-tonifying and blood-activating method for treating KOA had a variety of problems, such as unclear prio-ritization of outcome measures, diversity in measurement tools, absence of standardized assessment criteria for specific measures, and non-standardized usage. These problems affected the research quality and reliability. Hence, it is advisable to draw upon international expertise, improve research design, and merge TCM efficacy characteristics with clinical research to establish a core set of KOA outcome measures aligned with TCM principles.

The current industrial structure of eco-fragile areas fails to reverse the trend of the deterioration of the ecological environment and severely affects the sustainable development of eco-fragile areas, so conducting scientific and technological studies of ecological industries and ecological products helps eco-fragile areas recover their degraded ecosystem. The results of a statistical analysis of 159 related documents show: (1) the number of documents published rises wave upon wave in time series, which indicates that this area of study is still at the stage of rising; (2) research contents concentrate on five dimensions-theoretical research, technology research and development, model building, demonstration and promotion, and efficiency analysis, among which theoretical research chiefly discusses environmental costs and effects of ecological industries, regional organizational layout, industrial chain construction, market supply and demand of biological products, discrimination of the nature of biological products, and value assessment and realization of biological products; (3) study areas are largely distributed in the Loess Plateau area in the north and karst areas in the south in China, which suggests that studies of biological industries and biological products in eco-fragile areas concentrate on arid and semi-arid areas and engineered arid areas. Furthermore, from five aspects-theoretical study, technology research and development, model building, experiment and demonstration, and monitoring and evaluation, this study reveals cutting-edge theories about ecological industries and ecological products in eco-fragile areas. At last, it is found that comprehensive theoretical research of the market circulation of ecological products in eco-fragile areas and the research and development of key technologies to enhance the value of ecological products lag behind, and it is necessary to deepen the studies about the whole industry chain development for ecological industries, the valuation of ecological effect, the standardization of ecological industry management, the circulation mechanism of ecological products, brand building and other aspects.
