A retrospective study of glucose homeostasis, insulin secretion, sensitivity/resistance in non- transfusion-dependent ß-thalassemia patients (NTD- ß Thal): reduced ß-cell secretion rather than insulin resistance seems to be the dominant defect for glucose dysregulation (GD).
