RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The incidence of breast cancer among Chinese women has gradually increased in recent years. This study aims to analyze the situation of breast cancer screening programs in China and compare the cancer detection rates (CDRs), early-stage cancer detection rates (ECDRs), and the proportions of early-stage cancer among different programs. METHODS: We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of studies in multiple literature databases. Studies that were published between January 1, 2010 and June 30, 2023 were retrieved. A random effects model was employed to pool the single group rate, and subgroup analyses were carried out based on screening model, time, process, age, population, and follow-up method. RESULTS: A total of 35 studies, including 47 databases, satisfied the inclusion criteria. Compared with opportunistic screening, the CDR (1.32‰, 95% CI: 1.10‰-1.56‰) and the ECDR (0.82‰, 95% CI: 0.66‰-0.99‰) were lower for population screening, but the proportion of early-stage breast cancer (80.17%, 95% CI: 71.40%-87.83%) was higher. In subgroup analysis, the CDR of population screening was higher in the urban group (2.28‰, 95% CI: 1.70‰-2.94‰), in the breast ultrasonography (BUS) in parallel with mammography (MAM) group (3.29‰, 95% CI: 2.48‰-4.21‰), and in the second screening follow-up group (2.47‰, 95% CI: 1.64‰-3.47‰), and the proportion of early-stage breast cancer was 85.70% (95% CI: 68.73%-97.29%), 88.18% (95% CI: 84.53%-91.46%), and 90.05% (95% CI: 84.07%-94.95%), respectively. CONCLUSION: There were significant differences between opportunistic and population screening programs. The results of these population screening studies were influenced by the screening process, age, population, and follow-up method. In the future, China should carry out more high-quality and systematic population-based screening programs to improve screening coverage and service.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: The objective of this research was to create a deep learning network that utilizes multiscale images for the classification of follicular thyroid carcinoma (FTC) and follicular thyroid adenoma (FTA) through preoperative US. METHODS: This retrospective study involved the collection of ultrasound images from 279 patients at two tertiary level hospitals. To address the issue of false positives caused by small nodules, we introduced a multi-rescale fusion network (MRF-Net). Four different deep learning models, namely MobileNet V3, ResNet50, DenseNet121 and MRF-Net, were studied based on the feature information extracted from ultrasound images. The performance of each model was evaluated using various metrics, including sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), negative predictive value (NPV), accuracy, F1 value, receiver operating curve (ROC), area under the curve (AUC), decision curve analysis (DCA), and confusion matrix. RESULTS: Out of the total nodules examined, 193 were identified as FTA and 86 were confirmed as FTC. Among the deep learning models evaluated, MRF-Net exhibited the highest accuracy and area under the curve (AUC) with values of 85.3% and 84.8%, respectively. Additionally, MRF-Net demonstrated superior sensitivity and specificity compared to other models. Notably, MRF-Net achieved an impressive F1 value of 83.08%. The curve of DCA revealed that MRF-Net consistently outperformed the other models, yielding higher net benefits across various decision thresholds. CONCLUSION: The utilization of MRF-Net enables more precise discrimination between benign and malignant thyroid follicular tumors utilizing preoperative US.

RESUMO

The natural variation between Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) ecotypes Columbia (Col) and Landsberg erecta (Ler) strongly affects abscisic acid (ABA) signalling and drought tolerance. Here, we report that the cysteine-rich receptor-like protein kinase CRK4 is involved in regulating ABA signalling, which contributes to the differences in drought stress tolerance between Col-0 and Ler-0. Loss-of-function crk4 mutants in the Col-0 background were less drought tolerant than Col-0, whereas overexpressing CRK4 in the Ler-0 background partially to completely restored the drought-sensitive phenotype of Ler-0. F1 plants derived from a cross between the crk4 mutant and Ler-0 showed an ABA-insensitive phenotype with respect to stomatal movement, along with reduced drought tolerance like Ler-0. We demonstrate that CRK4 interacts with the U-box E3 ligase PUB13 and enhances its abundance, thus promoting the degradation of ABA-INSENSITIVE 1 (ABI1), a negative regulator of ABA signalling. Together, these findings reveal an important regulatory mechanism for modulating ABI1 levels by the CRK4-PUB13 module to fine-tune drought tolerance in Arabidopsis.

RESUMO

Guidelines for colorectal cancer (CRC) screening recommend screening at age 40 for high-risk population in China. However, the yield and cost of CRC screening in younger population are lacking. This analysis aimed to evaluate the yield and cost of CRC screening in high-risk 40- to 54-year-olds. Individuals aged 40-54 years who were determined to have a high risk of CRC were recruited from December 2012 to December 2019. We calculated odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) for the detection rate of colorectal lesions among the three age groups and further calculated number of colonoscopies needed to screen (NNS) to detect one advanced lesion and cost of each group. The detection rates of advanced colorectal neoplasm in men aged 45-49 years (OR = 2.00, 95% CI: 0.93-4.30) and 50-54 years (OR = 2.19, 95% CI: 1.04-4.62) were higher than that aged 40-44 years. The detection rates of colorectal adenoma in women aged 50-54 years was higher than that aged 40-44 years (OR = 1.64, 95% CI: 1.23-2.19). Among the male screening population, NNS and cost to detect one advanced lesion in participants aged 45-49 years were similar to that aged 50-54 years, saving approximately half endoscopic resources and financial expenses compared with screening that aged 40-44 years. From the perspective of screening results and costs, it might be beneficial to delay the starting age of screening by gender. This study may provide reference for optimizing CRC screening strategies.

RESUMO

The novel biochanin A-chromium(III) complex was synthesized by chelating chromium with biochanin A (BCA). The structure of the complex was determined and the complex ([CrBCA3]) was composed of chromium(III) and three ligands, and the chromium content was 55 µg/mg. The hypoglycemic activity of the complex was studied in db/db mice and C57 mice. The sub-acute toxicity test of the complex was carried out by the maximum limit method in KM mice. The hypoglycemic activity showed that the complex could reduce the weight of db/db mice and lower the fasting blood glucose and random blood glucose levels. The complex also improved the organ index, oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) and insulin tolerance test (ITT) results of db/db mice, and some of the indicators were similar to those of the positive control group after treatment with the complex. The histopathology study showed significant improvements in the liver, kidney, pancreas and skeletal muscle compared with the diabetes model group. The complex also showed a significant improvement in serum biochemical indices and antioxidant enzyme activities, as well as glycogen levels. The sub-acute toxicity study showed that the complex did not cause death or any dangerous symptoms during the study. In addition, the sub-acute toxicity study showed that the complex had no significant effect on the serum biochemical indices, antioxidant capacity and organs of normal mice. This study showed that [CrBCA3] had good hypoglycemic activity in vivo and had no sub-acute toxicity. This work provides an important reference for the development of functional hypoglycemic foods or drugs.

RESUMO

Soybean is widely used as a kind of bean for daily consumption. Chickpea is increasingly utilised because of its good healthcare function. At present, using chickpeas could have better results than soybeans in some areas. Previous studies of the two legumes focused on certain components and failed to fully reveal the differences between the two legumes. Thus, understanding the comprehensive similarities and differences between the two legumes is necessary to apply and develop these legumes effectively. In this study, we performed a UPLC-ESI-MS/MS-based widely targeted metabolomics analysis on two legumes. A total of 776 metabolites (including primary metabolites and secondary metabolites) were detected, which were divided into more than a dozen broad categories. The differential analysis of these metabolites showed that there were 480 metabolites with significant differences in relative contents between the two legumes. Compared with soybean, the expression of 374 metabolites of chickpea was down-regulated and that of 106 metabolites was up-regulated. The metabolic pathway analysis showed significant differences in the flavonoids biosynthesis, phenylpropanoid biosynthesis, linoleic acid metabolism and alkaloid biosynthesis between the two legumes. The advantages and applicability of the two kinds of legumes were confirmed through the analysis of anti-diabetic components. Moreover, some novel compounds (with contents higher than that of soybean) with hypoglycaemic activity were found in chickpea. This study provides an important reference for the in-depth study and comparative application of soybean and chickpea.

RESUMO

In order to rationally lay out the location of automobile maintenance service stations, a method of location selection of maintenance service stations based on vehicle trajectory big data is proposed. Taking the vehicle trajectory data as the demand points, the demand points are divided according to the region by using the idea of zoning, and the location of the second-level maintenance station is selected for each region. The second-level maintenance stations selected in the whole country are set as the demand points of the first-level maintenance stations. Considering the objectives of the two dimensions of cost and service level, the location model of the first-level maintenance stations under two-dimensional programming is established, and the improved particle swarm optimization algorithm and immune algorithm, respectively, are used to solve the problem. In this way, the first-level maintenance stations in each region are obtained. The example verification shows that the location selection results for the maintenance stations using the vehicle trajectory big data are reasonable and closer to the actual needs.

RESUMO

Diabetes is a disorder of glucose metabolism, and over 90% are type 2 diabetes. Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) is one of the type 2 diabetes complications, usually accompanied by changes in myocardial structure and function, together with cardiomyocyte apoptosis. Our study investigated the effect of curcumin on regulating oxidative stress (OS) and apoptosis in DCM. In vivo, diabetes was induced in an experimental rat model by streptozoticin (STZ) together with high-glucose and high-fat (HG/HF) diet feeding. In vitro, H9c2 cardiomyocytes were cultured with high-glucose and saturated free fatty acid palmitate. Curcumin was orally or directly administered to rats or cells, respectively. Streptozoticin -induced diabetic rats showed metabolism abnormalities and elevated markers of OS (superoxide dismutase [SOD], malondialdehyde [MDA], gp91phox , Cyt-Cyto C), enhanced cell apoptosis (Bax/Bcl-2, Cleaved caspase-3, TUNEL-positive cells), together with reduced Akt phosphorylation and increased Foxo1 acetylation. Curcumin attenuated the myocardial dysfunction, OS and apoptosis in the heart of diabetic rats. Curcumin treatment also enhanced phosphorylation of Akt and inhibited acetylation of Foxo1. These results strongly suggest that apoptosis was increased in the heart of diabetic rats, and curcumin played a role in diabetic cardiomyopathy treatment by modulating the Sirt1-Foxo1 and PI3K-Akt pathways.

RESUMO

Tripartite motif 47 (TRIM47), a member of the TRIM protein family, plays a crucial role in tumor development and progression. However, the role of TRIM47 in glioma has not been investigated. In the present study, we investigated the expression of TRIM47 in glioma and explored the role of TRIM47 in glioma proliferation and migration both in vitro and in vivo. Our results showed that TRIM47 expression was significantly increased in glioma tissues compared to the normal brain tissues. Knockdown of TRIM47 in U87 and U251 cells inhibited cell proliferation, as well as cell migration and invasion. TRIM47 knockdown caused significant increase in E-cadherin expression and remarkable decrease in N-cadherin and vimentin expressions in both U87 and U251 cells. In vivo assay proved that knockdown of TRIM47 prevented tumor growth of glioma. Furthermore, TRIM47 silencing significantly inhibited the activation of Wnt/ß-catenin pathway. Additionally, treatment with LiCl reversed the inhibitory effects of TRIM47 knockdown on cell proliferation and migration in U87 cells. In conclusion, these findings indicated that knockdown of TRIM47 suppressed cell proliferation and metastasis of glioma both in vitro and in vivo. TRIM47 exerted an oncogenic role in glioma and might be a therapeutic target for the treatment of glioma.

RESUMO

Breast cancer is a malignancy and one of the most frequent causes of cancer death among women worldwide. Paclitaxel is a common chemotherapeutic drug and has recently been shown to facilitate tumor cell escape during cytotoxic chemotherapy by inducing inflammatory mediators and pro-survival protein expression. Hyperoside is a flavonoid glycoside compound and exerts anti-inflammation, and anti-tumor growth properties. However, its function in breast cancer chemosensitivity remains poorly elucidated. In this study, hyperoside exhibited little cytotoxicity to normal human breast mammary epithelial cell lines, and also protected against paclitaxel-induced cytotoxicity in MCF-10A. Importantly, treatment with hyperoside engendered not only inhibition of cell viability, but also potentiated cancer cell sensitivity to paclitaxel in TLR4-positive breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells by suppressing cell viability, and increasing cell apoptosis and caspase-3 activity. Nevertheless, although hyperoside exposure restrained cell viability, its treatment presented little effects to paclitaxel sensitivity in TLR4-null HCC1806 cells. Intriguingly, paclitaxel stimulation activated the TLR4-NF-κB signaling, which was reversed after hyperoside administration. Concomitantly, hyperoside also attenuated paclitaxel-mediated anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 expression, but enhanced the effects of paclitaxel on pro-apoptotic Bax expression, and pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-6 and IL-6 levels in MDA-MB-231 cells. Importantly, restoring the TLR4 pathway overturned hyperoside-evoked chemosensitivity to paclitaxel in MDA-MB-231 cells. Thus, hyperoside may elevate breast cancer cell sensitivity to paclitaxel by blocking TLR4 activation-mediated pro-inflammatory and pro-survival approaches, thereby endorsing its usefulness as a promising therapeutic combination to overcome chemosensitivity in breast cancer.

RESUMO

Dimethylarsinic acid (DMA(V)) is the main product of arsenic methylation metabolism in vivo and is rat bladder carcinogen and tumor promoting agent. In this study, we measured the expressions of mRNA and proteins of NF-κB pathway members, IKKα, IKKß, p65, and p50 in rat bladder epithelium by qRT-PCR and immunohistochemical analysis after rats received drinking water containing 100 and 200 ppm DMA(V) for 10 weeks. Transforming growth factor-ß (TGF-ß) immunoexpression in rat bladder epithelium and urine level of IL-1ß also were determined. We found that DMA(V) dramatically increased the mRNA levels of NF-κB p50 and IKKα in the bladder epithelium of rats compared to the control group. Immunohistochemical examinations showed that DMA(V) increased immunoreactivities of IKKα, IKKß, and phospho-NF-κB p50 in the cytoplasm and phospho-NF-κB p50 and p65 in nucleus of rat urothelial cells. In addition, DMA(V) treated rats exhibited significantly increased inflammatory factor TGF-ß immunoreactivity in bladder epithelium and IL-1ß secretion in urine. These data suggest that DMA(V) could activate NF-κB signal pathway and increase TGF-ß and IL-1ß expressions in bladder epithelial cells of rats.

RESUMO

Goenka's 10-day Vipassana course is a widespread mindfulness course rooted in traditional Buddhism. Awareness and equanimity are two abilities cultivated in this course that are not featured in modern mindfulness-based psychotherapies and thereby not adequately measured by current mindfulness scales. The present article analyzed the Philadelphia Mindfulness Scale (PHLMS; Cardaciotto et al. in Assessment 15(2):204-223, 2008) and revised it into a short version to avoid confusion when measuring awareness and equanimity. Empirical data obtained using Chinese university students and Chinese Buddhists showed that the psychometric properties of the original version of the PHLMS had low factor loading on some items and that the short version had improved psychometric properties, especially for Buddhists. The short PHLMS also exhibited reasonable relationships with emotional outcomes and meditation practices among Buddhists. Implications for the future application of the PHLMS among Buddhists were also discussed.

RESUMO

Background: Identifying reliable prognostic indicators can aid in improving patient care. The aim of this study was to establish the association of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography-computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) whole-body metabolic parameters, serum carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125), and human epididymis protein 4 (HE4) with overall survival (OS) in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) after surgery combined with platinum-based chemotherapy. Methods: From May 2014 to May 2019, a total of 79 patients with EOC who underwent posttreatment 18F-FDG PET/CT in the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University were included. Clinical data and laboratory indicators were obtained. The whole-body maximum standardized uptake value (WBSUVmax), whole-body metabolic tumor volume (WBMTV), and whole-body total lesion glycolysis (WBTLG) were measured and calculated on 18F-FDG PET/CT. The follow-up was conducted until February 2023, and the endpoint was death from any cause. Pearson correlation analysis, Kaplan-Meier, and Cox proportional regression were used in this study. Results: The PET-positive (PET-P) patients had significantly decreased OS based on either Kaplan-Meier survival analysis (P<0.001) or univariate Cox regression analysis [hazard ratio (HR) =40.177, 95% confidence interval (CI): 2.690-600.134; P=0.007]. "Ln" is a logarithmic transformation with a base of "e" (natural logarithm). LnWBMTV, lnWBTLG, and therapy after PET were independent predictors of OS in a cohort of 63 PET-P patients. The difference in OS between groups sorted by the median WBMTV (4.16; P<0.001) and WBTLG (14.71; P<0.001) was statistically significant. There were statistically significant differences in CA125 and HE4 levels between patients in the PET-P and PET-negative (PET-N) groups (P<0.001). In the PET-P patient cohort, serum HE4 levels were substantially correlated with WBMTV and WBTLG. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis suggested a reduction in OS after treatment in patients with EOC positive for CA125, HE4, and PET (P<0.001). Conclusions: Post-PET/CT treatment strategy, WBMTV, and WBTLG demonstrated significant prognostic utility in predicting posttreatment OS in patients with EOC. Patients who tested positive for both tumor markers CA125 and HE4 and had a positive PET scan demonstrated a significantly poorer prognosis in terms of posttreatment OS.

RESUMO

In this review, we discuss the definition, prevalence, and etiology of sporadic multiglandular disease (MGD), with an emphasis on its preoperative and intraoperative predictors. Primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) is the third-most common endocrine disorder, and multiglandular parathyroid disease (MGD) is a cause of PHPT. Hereditary MGD can be definitively diagnosed with detailed family history and genetic testing, whereas sporadic MGD presents a greater challenge in clinical practice, and parathyroidectomy for MGD is associated with a higher risk of surgical failure than single gland disease (SGD). Therefore, it is crucial to be able to predict the presence of sporadic MGD in a timely manner, either preoperatively or intraoperatively. Various predictive methods cannot accurately identify all cases of sporadic MGD, but they can greatly optimize the management of MGD diagnosis and treatment and optimize the cure rate. Future research will urge us to investigate more integrative predictive models as well as increase our understanding of MGD pathogenesis.

RESUMO

Background: Cancer literacy as a potential health intervention tool directly impacted the success of cancer prevention and treatment initiatives. This study aimed to evaluate the cancer literacy in Northeast China, and explore the factors contributing to urban-rural disparities. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in 14 cities across Liaoning Province, China, from August to October 2021, using the multistage probability proportional to size sampling (PPS) method. The survey comprised 4,325 participants aged 15-69 and encompassed 37 core knowledge-based questions spanning five dimensions. Associations between sociodemographic factors and the cancer literacy rate were evaluated using chi-square tests and multivariate logistic regression model. Results: The overall cancer literacy rate was 66.9% (95% CI: 65.6-68.2%). In the primary indicators, cancer literacy were highest in treatment (75.8, 95% CI: 74.2-77.4%) and early detection (68.2, 95% CI: 66.8-69.6%), followed by basic knowledge (67.2, 95% CI: 65.8-68.6%), recovery (62.6, 95% CI: 60.7-64.5%) and prevention (59.7, 95% CI: 58.2-61.3%). Regarding secondary indicators, the awareness rates regarding cancer-related risk factors (54.7, 95% CI: 52.8-56.5%) and early diagnosis of cancer (54.6, 95% CI: 52.7-56.6%) were notably inadequate. Rural participates exhibited lower cancer literacy across all dimensions compared to urban. Multi-factor analysis showed that factors such as advanced age, limited education or low household income were barriers to health literacy in rural areas. Conclusion: Strengthening awareness concerning prevention and early detection, particularly among key populations, and bridging the urban-rural cancer literacy gap are imperative steps toward achieving the Healthy China 2030 target.

RESUMO

PURPOSE: This study aims to develop a novel prediction model and risk stratification system that could accurately predict progression-free survival (PFS) in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). METHODS: Herein, we included 106 individuals diagnosed with NPC, who underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT scanning before treatment. They were divided into training (n = 76) and validation (n = 30) sets. The prediction model was constructed based on multivariate Cox regression analysis results and its predictive performance was evaluated. Risk factor stratification was performed based on the nomogram scores of each case, and Kaplan-Meier curves were used to evaluate the model's discriminative ability for high- and low-risk groups. RESULTS: Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that N stage, M stage, SUVmax, MTV, HI, and SIRI were independent factors affecting the prognosis of patients with NPC. In the training set, the model considerably outperformed the TNM stage in predicting PFS (AUCs of 0.931 vs. 0.841, 0.892 vs. 0.785, and 0.892 vs. 0.804 at 1-3 years, respectively). The calibration plots showed good agreement between actual observations and model predictions. The DCA curves further justified the effectiveness of the model in clinical practice. Between high- and low-risk group, 3-year PFS rates were significantly different (high- vs. low-risk group: 62.8% vs. 9.8%, p < 0.001). Adjuvant chemotherapy was also effective for prolonging survival in high-risk patients (p = 0.009). CONCLUSION: Herein, a novel prediction model was successfully developed and validated to improve the accuracy of prognostic prediction for patients with NPC, with the aim of facilitating personalized treatment.

RESUMO

IAVPGEVA, an octapeptide derived from soybean 11S globulin hydrolysis, also known as SGP8, has exhibited regulatory effects on lipid metabolism, inflammation, and fibrosis in vitro. Studies using MCD and HFD-induced nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) models in mice show that SGP8 attenuates hepatic injury and metabolic disorders. Mechanistic studies suggest that SGP8 inhibits the JNK-c-Jun pathway in L02 cells and liver tissue under metabolic stress and targets DPP4 with DPP4 inhibitory activity. In conclusion, the results suggest that SGP8 is an orally available DPP4-targeting peptide with therapeutic potential in NASH.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: Previous studies have shown that parental attachment was associated with higher levels of posttraumatic growth (PTG) in individuals who have experienced traumatic events. The aim of the current longitudinal study is to investigate resilience as one pathway through which parental attachment is related to PTG among Chinese adolescents following the Yancheng tornado. METHODS: A total of 351 adolescent survivors participated in this longitudinal study. Participants completed the revised version of Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA-R) at 12 months (T1), and the revised Chinese version of the Post-Traumatic Growth Inventory (PTGI-R) and the Connor and Davidson's Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) at 18 months (T2) after the tornado, respectively. RESULTS: It indicated that parental attachment at T1 has direct and positive effect on PTG at T2, and resilience at T2 fully mediated the relationship between parental attachment at T1 and PTG at T2. CONCLUSION: The findings revealed that parental attachment and resilience are two key resources that promote adolescent's PTG, and parental attachment acts through resilience to promote PTG in adolescents.

RESUMO

Objective: The aim of our study was to evaluate the prognostic value of gated SPECT MPI in non-obstructed coronary arteries (INOCA) patients, sought to stratify patients more accurately and thus derive more reliable prognostic information. Materials and methods: In total, 167 patients with INOCA were enrolled. The patients were divided into two groups according to their SSS. Patients were followed-up regularly in terms of major adverse cardiovascular event (MACE), including cardiac death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, stroke, re-hospitalization with angina pectoris, and recurrent angina pectoris. Kaplan-Meier curves and Cox's proportional hazards models were used to analyze survival and identify predictive factors. Results: Adverse cardiac events occurred in 33 cases (19.8%). The rate of MACE was higher in the summed stress score (SSS) ≥4 group than in the SSS 0-3 group (30.1% vs. 9.5%, respectively, P = 0.001) and MACE-free survival was lower (annual MACE-free rates of 87.5% vs. 96.2%, respectively, P = 0.003). Event-free survival was consistently higher in patients with normal arteries than in those with non-obstructive coronary artery disease (annual MACE-free rates of 96.1% and 88.4%, P = 0.035). When the SSS and the CAG results were combined, patients with normal coronary arteries (SSS 0-3) had the best prognosis and those with non-obstructive coronary artery stenosis (SSS ≥ 4) had the worst. However, the early prognosis of patients with non-obstructive coronary artery disease and SSS of 0-3 was comparable to that of patients with normal coronary arteries and SSS ≥ 4 (annual MACE-free rates of 100%, 94.6%, 93.1%, and 78.2%, respectively). Multivariate Cox's regression indicated that the SSS [hazard ratio (HR) = 1.126, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.042-1.217, P = 0.003] and non-obstructive coronary artery disease (HR = 2.559, 95% CI 1.249-5.246, P = 0.01) were predictors of adverse cardiac events. Conclusion: SPECT MPI data were prognostic for INOCA patients, thus identifying groups at high risk. The long-term predictive efficacy of such data exceeded that of CAG data. A combination of the two measures more accurately stratified INOCA patients in terms of risk.
