RESUMO

The printed circuit board (PCB) is the core control unit of electromechanical equipment. In order to determine the influence of the coupling vibration caused by vehicle-road interaction on the PCB reliability of roadside electromechanical equipment, first, the dynamic load of the vehicle tire is solved by establishing the dynamic model of a vehicle road. Then, the acceleration response data generated by road vibration are obtained by solving the road finite element model. Finally, the power density spectrum of the acceleration response is taken as input excitation, and the deformation response of the PCB under vehicle-road coupling vibration is analyzed. The experimental results show that when the vehicle is driving close to the roadside, the vibration caused by vehicle-road coupling will lead to a large deformation of the PCB, and the deformation value reaches 0.170 mm, which can cause structural damage to the PCB. This shows that the vehicle-road coupling vibration can affect the reliability of the roadside electromechanical equipment; thus, the optimal design of the PCB layout is created. After optimization, the first-order modal frequency of the PCB is increase by 5.4%, which reduces the risk of the components breaking away from the PCB substrate.

BACKGROUND: There is limited knowledge on the mediating role of different health risk behavior on the relationship between social capital, socioeconomic status (SES), and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in Chinese older adults. We conducted this study to (a) investigate the condition of health risk behaviors of the Chinese elderly, and (b) assess the relationship between SES, social capital, health risk behaviors, and HRQoL. METHODS: A sample of 4868 adults aged 60 years and older were included in this study, from the China's Health-related Quality of Life Survey for Older Adults 2018. Participants' demographic characteristics, SES (education level, family income), health risk behaviors (smoking, alcohol consumption, physical inactivity, unhealthy dietary behavior, unhealthy weight, and sleep disorder) were collected. Social capital and HRQoL were assessed by the 16-item Personal Social Capital Scale (PSCS-16) and WHOQOL-Old, respectively. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was applied to examine the associations between variables. RESULTS: The proportion of smoking, alcohol consumption, physical inactivity, unhealthy dietary behavior, unhealthy weight, and sleep disorder were 32.1, 36.3, 62.5, 45.7, 31.8, and 45.5%, respectively. Significant differences were observed in education level, family income, and social capital between elderly individuals with and without each of the six health risk behavior (all p-values < 0.05). Elderly individuals who reported smoking, physical inactivity, unhealthy dietary behavior, and sleep disorder had significantly lower HRQoL than those without these unhealthy behaviors (all p-values < 0.05). SEM analysis showed that SES and social capital positively associated with alcohol consumption. Social capital negatively associated with smoking, physical inactivity, unhealthy dietary behavior, and sleep disorder. SES negatively associated with smoking, physical inactivity, unhealthy dietary behavior, unhealthy weight, and sleep disorder. Smoking, physical inactivity, unhealthy dietary behavior, and sleep disorder correlated with poorer HRQoL. CONCLUSIONS: Chinese older adults demonstrated a high incidence of health risk behaviors, especially for physical inactivity (62.5%) and unhealthy dietary behavior (45.7%). Social capital and SES were correlated with the elderly's HRQoL, as well as with the health risk behaviors. Health risk behaviors played potential mediating role on the relationship between social capital, SES, and HRQoL in Chinese older adults.

BACKGROUND: Diet-related knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors (KABs) are important for building healthier dietary patterns. We conducted this study to (a) investigate diet conditions of Chinese adult residents from the perspective of knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors, and (b) assess the association between diet-related KABs and self-rated health. METHODS: We analyzed the 2015 China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS) data. Individuals aged 18 years and older were included as study subjects (n = 12,814), assessing their diet-related knowledge, attitudes, behaviors, and self-rated health. Comparison of diet-related KABs in urban and rural residents was conducted using chi-square test. Ordinal logistic regression analysis was adopted to examine the association between diet-related KABs and self-rated health. RESULTS: The proportion of knowing about the Chinese Food Pagoda (CFP) or the Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents (DGCR) was 27.1%. 34.3% of the participants were assessed as having adequate dietary knowledge literacy. 24.3% reported a positive attitude towards healthy eating. 27.6 and 65.9% of the participants reported proactively looking for nutrition knowledge and preferring eating fruits & vegetables, respectively. Chi-square test indicated that rural people experienced poorer diet-related knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors than urban residents (all p-values < 0.01). Regression analysis revealed that participants who knew about CFP/DGCR (OR = 1.11, 95% CI = 1.08-1.15), had adequate dietary knowledge literacy (OR = 1.12, 95% CI = 1.10-1.15), held positive attitude towards healthy eating (OR = 1.14, 95% CI = 1.09-1.19), proactively looked for nutrition knowledge (OR = 1.11, 95% CI = 1.08-1.15), and preferred eating fruits & vegetables (OR = 1.09, 95% CI = 1.07-1.12) had significantly better self-rated health. CONCLUSIONS: Chinese adult residents experienced poor diet-related knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors. Rural people had significantly worse diet conditions than urban residents. Better diet-related knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors were associated with higher self-rated health in Chinese adult residents.

Defect engineering (doping and vacancy) has emerged as a positive strategy to boost the intrinsic electrochemical reactivity and structural stability of MnO2 -based cathodes of rechargeable aqueous zinc ion batteries (RAZIBs). Currently, there is no report on the nonmetal element doped MnO2 cathode with concomitant oxygen vacancies, because of its low thermal stability with easy phase transformation from MnO2 to Mn3 O4 (≥300 °C). Herein, for the first time, novel N-doped MnO2- x (N-MnO2- x ) branch arrays with abundant oxygen vacancies fabricated by a facile low-temperature (200 °C) NH3 treatment technology are reported. Meanwhile, to further enhance the high-rate capability, highly conductive TiC/C nanorods are used as the core support for a N-MnO2- x branch, forming high-quality N-MnO2- x @TiC/C core/branch arrays. The introduced N dopants and oxygen vacancies in MnO2 are demonstrated by synchrotron radiation technology. By virtue of an integrated conductive framework, enhanced electron density, and increased surface capacitive contribution, the designed N-MnO2- x @TiC/C arrays are endowed with faster reaction kinetics, higher capacity (285 mAh g-1 at 0.2 A g-1 ) and better long-term cycles (85.7% retention after 1000 cycles at 1 A g-1 ) than other MnO2 -based counterparts (55.6%). The low-temperature defect engineering sheds light on construction of advanced cathodes for aqueous RAZIBs.

Performance breakthrough of MoSe2 -based hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) electrocatalysts largely relies on sophisticated phase modulation and judicious innovation on conductive matrix/support. In this work the controllable synthesis of phosphate ion (PO43- ) intercalation induced-MoSe2 (P-MoSe2 ) nanosheets on N-doped mold spore carbon (N-MSC) forming P-MoSe2 /N-MSC composite electrocatalysts is realized. Impressively, a novel conductive N-MSC matrix is constructed by a facile mold fermentation method. Furthermore, the phase of MoSe2 can be modulated by a simple phosphorization strategy to realize the conversion from 2H-MoSe2 to 1T-MoSe2 to produce biphase-coexisted (1T-2H)-MoSe2 by PO43- intercalation (namely, P-MoSe2 ), confirmed by synchrotron radiation technology and spherical aberration-corrected TEM (SACTEM). Notably, higher conductivity, lower bandgap and adsorption energy of H+ are verified for the P-MoSe2 /N-MSC with the help of density functional theory (DFT) calculation. Benefiting from these unique advantages, the P-MoSe2 /N-MSC composites show superior HER performance with a low Tafel slope (≈51 mV dec-1 ) and overpotential (≈126 mV at 10 mA cm-1 ) and excellent electrochemical stability, better than 2H-MoSe2 /N-MSC and MoSe2 /carbon nanosphere (MoSe2 /CNS) counterparts. This work demonstrates a new kind of carbon material via biological cultivation, and simultaneously unravels the phase transformation mechanism of MoSe2 by PO43- intercalation.

KEY MESSAGE: An EMS-induced single-base mutation at a splice site caused abnormal RNA splicing and resulted in the gene inactivation and the lack of Wx-A1 protein in a wheat EMS mutant line. An EMS-mutagenized population was generated using common wheat cv. SM126 consisting of 10,600 M2 plants. One Wx-A1 null mutant was identified through analyses of 390 grains produced from 130 M2 plants using electrophoresis analyses. The Wx-A1 sequences of parental line SM126 and M2-31 mutant were determined as 2781 bp, and there was only one SNP mutation between them. The SNP was a mutation from G to A at nucleotide sequence position 2168 bp (G2168A) downstream of the start codon which was located at the splicing site within the eighth intron. All 52 cDNA transcripts were found to be incorrectly spliced and can be summarized as five types of variations. The deletion of the exon and the exclusion of intron were structural features in abnormal splicing RNA. Together with the prediction of potential splice regulatory motifs, the mutation G2168A happened within the 5' splice site of the eighth intron and destroyed the splice donor site from GU to AU, which may have brought about a barrier against correct RNA splice, and generated abnormal mRNA, which was the mechanism of the inactivation of Wx-A1 in M2-31. The lack of Wx-A1 has resulted in changes in starch properties in the M2-31 mutant, with the reduction in amylose and starch contents. The increased grains hardness was observed in M2-31, which may be related to the lower expression level of Pinb-D1 gene. As the waxy wheat foods have a lot of advantages, the null waxy genes will be widely applied in breeding waxy wheat for varied amylose contents.

A synergistic N doping plus PO4 3- intercalation strategy is used to induce high conversion (ca. 41 %) of 2H-MoS2 into 1T-MoS2 , which is much higher than single N doping (ca. 28 %) or single PO4 3- intercalation (ca. 10 %). A scattering mechanism is proposed to illustrate the synergistic phase transformation from the 2H to the 1T phase, which was confirmed by synchrotron radiation and spherical aberration TEM. To further enhance reaction kinetics, the designed (N,PO4 3- )-MoS2 nanosheets are combined with conductive vertical graphene (VG) skeleton forming binder-free arrays for high-efficiency hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Owing to the decreased band gap, lower d-band center, and smaller hydrogen adsorption/desorption energy, the designed (N,PO4 3- )-MoS2 /VG electrode shows excellent HER performance with a lower Tafel slope and overpotential than N-MoS2 /VG, PO4 3- -MoS2 /VG counterparts, and other Mo-base catalysts in the literature.

The electrochemical N2 fixation, which is far from practical application in aqueous solution under ambient conditions, is extremely challenging and requires a rational design of electrocatalytic centers. We observed that bismuth (Bi) might be a promising candidate for this task because of its weak binding with H adatoms, which increases the selectivity and production rate. Furthermore, we successfully synthesized defect-rich Bi nanoplates as an efficient noble-metal-free N2 reduction electrocatalyst via a low-temperature plasma bombardment approach. When exclusively using 1 H NMR measurements with N2 gas as a quantitative testing method, the defect-rich Bi(110) nanoplates achieved a 15 NH3 production rate of 5.453 µg mgBi -1 h-1 and a Faradaic efficiency of 11.68 % at -0.6 V vs. RHE in aqueous solution at ambient conditions.

PURPOSE: On account of the potential inhibition of OATP1B1 (organic anion transporting polypeptide) by angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) and the effects of SLCO1B1 (solute carrier organic anion transporter family member) polymorphism, the aim of current study is to assess the impact of ARBs on the pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of repaglinide in Chinese healthy volunteers with different SLCO1B1 genotypes. METHODS: The in vitro study was conducted on irbesartan, valsartan, olmesartan, and losartan by using HEK293 cells transfected with OATP1B1. Data on drug interactions between repaglinide and irbesartan from 21 healthy Chinese-Han male volunteers were collected and analyzed. RESULTS: IC50 from in vitro study suggested irbesartan was the most potent inhibitor of OATP1B1 transporter. Clinical data from single dose of repaglinide indicated SLCO1B1 c.521 T>C polymorphism influenced the PK and PD of repaglinide in healthy Chinese-Han male volunteers. In subjects with SLCO1B1 c.521 TT genotype, irbesartan comedication increased the exposure of repaglinide. In details, the peak plasma concentration [Cmax] increased 84% (P = 0.003) and the area under the curve of plasma concentration 0-8 h [AUC0-8] increased 34% (P = 0.004), while the minimum blood glucose concentration [Cmin] decreased 33.8% (P = 0.005). No significant change was observed in repaglinide exposure in subjects with SLCO1B1 c.521 TC genotype in presence or absence of irbesartan. CONCLUSION: SLCO1B1 c.521 T>C polymorphism affects the PK of repaglinide in Chinese population. Irbesartan increased repaglinide exposure in subjects with SLCO1B1 c.521 TT genotype, but not SLCO1B1 c.521 TC genotype.

The beam wander of a partially coherent Airy beam in oceanic turbulence is investigated with the help of the extended Huygens-Fresnel integral formula. Analytical expression for the second-order moment and the beam wander of a partially coherent Airy beam propagating in oceanic turbulence is derived. From the numerical results based on the analytical formula, we find that increasing the dissipation rate of turbulent kinetic energy or decreasing the dissipation rate of mean-square temperature and relative strength of temperature and salinity fluctuations of oceanic turbulence tends to decrease the wander effect of a partially coherent Airy beam. Moreover, it is found that increasing the transverse scale factor and wavelength or decreasing the coherent length and exponential truncation factor of a partially coherent Airy beam decreases beam wander in oceanic turbulence. Our results will be useful in optical underwater communications and laser defense.

An efficient electrocatalytic functionalization of N-arylglycine esters is reported. The protocol proceeds in an undivided cell under constant current conditions employing the simple, cheap and readily available n-Bu4NI as the mediator. In addition, it is demonstrated that the mediated process is superior to the direct electrochemical functionalization.

KEY MESSAGE: A novel Wx-B1 allele was characterized; a transposon insertion resulted in the loss of its function, which is different from the previously reported gene silencing mechanisms at the Wx-B1 locus. The waxy protein composition of 53 Chinese wheat landraces was analyzed using sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and two-dimensional gel electrophoresis; of these, 10 did not show the expression of Wx-A1 (four accession) or Wx-B1 (six accessions) protein. The results of molecular marker detection revealed that the Wx-B1 allele (Wx-B1n) showed normal expression, inconsistent with the findings of SDS-PAGE for the Xiaobaipi accession. Further cloning of the 9160-bp region covering the Wx-B1 coding region and 3'-downstream region revealed that a 2178-bp transposon fragment had been inserted at 2462 bp within the tenth exon of Wx-B1n ORF, leading to the absence of Wx-B1 protein. Sequence analysis indicated that the insertion possessed the structural features of invert repeat and target repeat elements, we deduced that it was a transposon. Further PCR analysis revealed that this fragment had moved, but not copied itself, from 3B chromosome to the current location in Wx-B1n. Therefore, the reason for the inactivation of Wx-B1n was considerably different from those for the inactivation of Wx-B1b, Wx-B1k, and Wx-B1m; to our knowledge, this kind of structural mutation has never been reported in Wx-B1 alleles. This novel allele is interesting, because it was not associated with the deletion of other quality-related genes included in the 67 kb region lost with the common null allele Wx-B1b. The null Wx-B1n might be useful for investigating gene inactivation and expression as well as for enriching the genetic resource pool for the modification of the amylose/amylopectin ratio, thereby improving wheat quality.

OBJECTIVE: To identify the genotypes of Toxoplasma gondii that infects HIV-positive people in Dali of Yunnan Province through analyzing the genetic loci of the surface antigens SAG1 and SAG3. METHODS: A total of 291 blood samples from HIV-positive cases were collected from the HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Institution in Yunnan. Nested PCR was used to amplify SAGI and SAG3 genes in the blood samples. The products were digested with restriction enzymes Sau96 I, Hae II and Nci I, and sequenced. RESULTS: Of the 291 HIV-positive blood samples, 64 showed successful amplification of SAGI gene, and 42 of SAG3 gene, with product sizes of 390 bp and 225 bp, respectively. Enzymetic digestion of the PCR products resulted in fragments of 350 bp and 50 bp for SAGI, and -200 bp band for SAG3, consistent with RH, a particular type I strain of T. gondii. Sequencing of the SAG1 and SAG3 PCR products showed that their sequence identities with SAGI (Accession No. GQ253073) and SAG3 (Accession No. JX218225.1) of the type I strain of T. gondii were 99.98%-100% and 99.96% -99.98% respectively. CONCLUSION: The Toxoplasma gondii in HIV-positive cases in Dali of Yunnan Province is the type I strain of T. gondii.

OBJECTIVE: To develop and validate a model to predict the preconception risk of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in nulliparous women. METHODS: This was a retrospective cohort study. A total of 1565 women in early pregnancy who underwent preconception health examinations in the Women and Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University between January 2020 and June 2021 were invited to participate in a questionnaire survey. Logistic regression analysis was performed to determine the preconception risk factors for GDM. These factors were used to construct a model to predict GDM risk in nulliparous women. Then, the model was used to assess the preconception risk of GDM in 1060 nulliparous women. RESULTS: Independent preconception risk factors for GDM included the following: age 35 years or greater, diastolic blood pressure 80 mm Hg or greater, fasting plasma glucose 5.1 mmol/L or greater, body mass index (BMI, calculated as weight in kilograms divided by the square of height in meters) 24 or greater, weight gain 10 kg or greater in the year before pregnancy, age of menarche 15 years or greater, three or more previous pregnancies, daily staple food intake 300 g or greater, fondness for sweets, and family history of diabetes. BMI less than 18.5, daily physical activity duration 1 h or greater, and high-intensity physical activity were protective factors. These factors were used to construct a model to predict GDM risk in nulliparous women, and the incidence of GDM significantly increased as the risk score increased. The area under the curve of the prediction model was 0.82 (95% confidence interval 0.80-0.85). CONCLUSION: The preconception GDM risk prediction model demonstrated good predictive efficacy and can be used to identify populations at high risk of GDM before pregnancy, which provides the possibility for preconception intervention.

Self-healing elastomers usually show poor mechanical properties and environmental stability, and they cannot self-report mechanical/chemical damage. Herein, an innovative design strategy is reported that combines symmetric/asymmetric chain extenders to create large yet disordered hard domains within polyurethane (PU) elastomers, enabling the integration of mechanical robustness and self-reporting and self-healing capabilities to overcome both mechanical and chemical damage. Specifically, large yet disordered hard domains were created by governing the molar contents of asymmetric fluorescent 2-(4-aminophenyl)-5-aminobenzimidazole (PABZ) and symmetric 4-aminophenyl disulfide (APDS). Such a structural feature led to a small free-volume fraction, prominent strain-induced crystallization (SIC), and high energy of dissipation, enabling the PU elastomer to display outstanding mechanical strength (60.7 MPa) and toughness (177.9 MJ m-3). Meanwhile, the loose stacking of disordered hard domains imposed small restriction on network chains and imparted the network with high relaxation dynamics, leading to high healing efficiency (97.8%). More importantly, the fluorescence intensity was stimulus-responsive and thus the PU elastomer could self-report mechanical/chemical damage and healing processes. The PU elastomer also showed potential application prospects in information encoding and encryption. Furthermore, selecting polydimethylsiloxane as one of the soft segments could effectively endow the PU elastomer with intrinsic hydrophobicity. Therefore, this work provides valuable guidance for designing multi-functional materials with anti-counterfeiting, self-reporting, and healing properties as well as high mechanical properties and hydrophobicity.

The regulation of topological structure of covalent adaptable networks (CANs) remains a challenge for epoxy CANs. Here, we report a strategy to develop strong and tough epoxy supramolecular thermosets with rapid reprocessability and room-temperature closed-loop recyclability. These thermosets were constructed from vanillin-based hyperbranched epoxy resin (VanEHBP) through the introduction of intermolecular hydrogen bonds and dual dynamic covalent bonds, as well as the formation of intramolecular and intermolecular cavities. The supramolecular structures confer remarkable energy dissipation capability of thermosets, leading to high toughness and strength. Due to the dynamic imine exchange and reversible noncovalent crosslinks, the thermosets can be rapidly and effectively reprocessed at 120 °C within 30 s. Importantly, the thermosets can be efficiently depolymerized at room temperature, and the recovered materials retain the structural integrity and mechanical properties of the original samples. This strategy may be employed to design tough, closed-loop recyclable epoxy thermosets for practical applications.

Designing bifunctional low-cost photo-assisted electrocatalysts for converting solar and electric energy into hydrogen energy remains a huge challenge. Herein, a heterojunction (Fe cluster modified Co9 S8 loaded on carbon nanotubes, Co9 S8 -Fe@CNT) for both hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is demonstrated. Benefiting from the good electronic conductivity and spatial confinement of the carbon skeleton, as well as the electronic structure regulation of the Fe cluster, Co9 S8 -Fe@CNT exhibits excellent catalytic performance with a low overpotential of 150 mV for OER and 135 mV for HER at 10 mA cm-2 . Upon light irradiation, holes and electrons are generated in the valence band and conduction band of the Co9 S8 , respectively. Part of the charges are transferred to the interface to facilitate the catalytic reaction, while the remaining are transferred by the electrode. When working as a bifunctional catalyst for overall water splitting, the performance can reach 1.33 V at under light conditions, which is significantly better than 1.52 V in a dark environment. Theoretical calculations revealed lowered Gibbs free energy (∆GH *) of the heterojunction with the effect of Fe modification of Co9 S8 . This work sheds a new light in designing novel photoelectrochemical materials to convert solar and electric energy into chemical energy.

OBJECTIVES: To elucidate the expression levels and prognostic value of the Lipoyltransferase 2 (LIPT2) gene in a pan-cancer view. METHODOLOGY: Our study comprehensively investigated the role of LIPT2 in pan-cancer, combining bioinformatics analyses with experimental validations. RESULTS: Analysis of LIPT2 mRNA expression across various cancers revealed a significant up-regulation in 18 tumor types and down-regulation in 8 types, indicating its diverse involvement. Prognostic assessment demonstrated a correlation between elevated LIPT2 expression and poorer outcomes in Overall Survival (OS) and Disease-Free Survival (DFS), particularly in Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM), Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma (LIHC), and Pheochromocytoma and Paraganglioma (PCPG). Protein expression analysis in GBM, LIHC, and PCPG affirmed a consistent increase in LIPT2 levels compared to normal tissues. Examining the methylation status in GBM, LIHC, and PCPG, we found reduced promoter methylation levels in tumor samples, suggesting a potential influence on LIPT2 function. Genetic mutation analysis using cBioPortal indicated a low mutation frequency (< 2%) in LIPT2 across GBM, LIHC, and PCPG. Immune correlation analysis unveiled a positive association between LIPT2 expression and infiltration levels of immune cells in GBM, LIHC, and PCPG. Single-cell analysis illustrated LIPT2's positive correlation with functional states, including angiogenesis and inflammation. Enrichment analysis identified LIPT2-associated processes and pathways, providing insights into its potential molecular mechanisms. Drug sensitivity analysis demonstrated that elevated LIPT2 expression conferred resistance to multiple compounds, while lower expression increased sensitivity. Finally, RT-qPCR validation in HCC cell lines confirmed the heightened expression of LIPT2 compared to a control cell line, reinforcing the bioinformatics findings. CONCLUSION: Overall, our study highlights LIPT2 as a versatile player in cancer, influencing diverse aspects from molecular processes to clinical outcomes across different cancer types.
