RESUMO

BACKGROUND: In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the utilization of biologic therapies for the management of asthma. Both TSLP and IgE are important immune molecules in the development of asthma, and they are involved in the occurrence and regulation of inflammatory response. METHODS: A comprehensive search of PubMed and Web of Science was conducted to gather information on anti-TSLP antibody and anti-IgE antibody. RESULTS: This investigation elucidates the distinct mechanistic roles of Thymic Stromal Lymphopoietin (TSLP) and Immunoglobulin E (IgE) in the pathogenesis of asthma, with a particular emphasis on delineating the therapeutic mechanisms and pharmacological properties of monoclonal antibodies targeting IgE and TSLP. Through a meticulous examination of clinical trials involving paradigmatic agents such as omalizumab and tezepelumab, we offer valuable insights into the potential treatment modalities for diseases with shared immunopathogenic pathways involving IgE and TSLP. CONCLUSION: The overarching objective of this comprehensive study is to delve into the latest advancements in asthma therapeutics and to provide guidance for future investigations in this domain.

RESUMO

Organocatalyzed diastereo- and enantioselective [3 + 2] cycloaddition reactions of donor-acceptor (D-A) cyclopropanes with isatin-derived ketimines are presented. Different from well-developed Lewis acid activation protocols which promote the reactivity of D-A cyclopropanes through coordinating to the acceptor group, in this reaction, dicyanocyclopropylmethyl ketones can be activated through nucleophilic activation of the donor group by using dihydroquinine-derived squaramide as Brønsted base catalyst. The reaction affords functionalized spiro[oxindole-3,2'-pyrrolidines] with two nonadjacent tetra- and tri-substituted stereocenters in 83-99% yields, moderate to excellent diastereoselectivities (up to >20:1 diastereomeric ratio (dr)), and excellent enantioselectivities (up to >99% enantiomeric excess (ee)) under mild conditions.

RESUMO

VEGFR, a receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), is an important regulatory factor that promotes angiogenesis and vascular permeability. It plays a significant role in processes such as tumor angiogenesis, tumor cell invasion, and metastasis. VEGFR is mainly composed of three subtypes: VEGFR-1, VEGFR-2, and VEGFR-3. Among them, VEGFR-2 is the crucial signaling receptor for VEGF, which is involved in various pathological and physiological functions. At present, VEGFR-2 is closely related to a variety of cancers, such as non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), Hepatocellular carcinoma, Renal cell carcinoma, breast cancer, gastric cancer, glioma, etc. Consequently, VEGFR-2 serves as a crucial target for various cancer treatments. An increasing number of VEGFR inhibitors have been discovered to treat cancer, and they have achieved tremendous success in the clinic. Nevertheless, VEGFR inhibitors often exhibit severe cytotoxicity, resistance, and limitations in indications, which weaken the clinical therapeutic effect. In recent years, many small molecule inhibitors targeting VEGFR have been identified with anti-drug resistance, lower cytotoxicity, and better affinity. Here, we provide an overview of the structure and physiological functions of VEGFR, as well as some VEGFR inhibitors currently in clinical use. Also, we summarize the in vivo and in vitro activities, selectivity, structure-activity relationship, and therapeutic or preventive use of VEGFR small molecule inhibitors reported in patents in the past three years (2021-2023), thereby presenting the prospects and insights for the future development of targeted VEGFR inhibitors.

RESUMO

Mangrove wetlands, as one of the natural ecosystems with the most ecological services, have garnered widespread attention about their microbial driven biogeochemical cycling. Urbanization have led to different spatial patterns of environmental conditions and microbial communities in mangroves. However, viruses, as the pivotal drivers of biogeochemical cycling in mangroves, remain inadequately explored in terms of how their ecological potential and complex interactions with host respond to functional zonings. To address this knowledge gap, we conducted a comprehensive investigation on the structural and functional properties of temperate and lytic viruses in mangrove wetlands from different functional zonings by jointly using high-throughput sequencing, prokaryotic and viral metagenomics. Multiple environmental factors were found to significantly influence the taxonomic and functional composition, as well as lysogen-lysis decision-making of mangrove viruses. Furthermore, enriched auxiliary metabolic genes (AMGs) involved in methane, nitrogen and sulfur metabolism, and heavy metal resistance were unveiled in mangrove viruses, whose community composition was closely related to lifestyle and host. The virus-host pairs with different lifestyles were also discovered to react to environmental changes in different ways, which provided an empirical evidence for how virus and bacteria dynamics were specific to viral lifestyles in nature. This study expands our comprehension of the intricate interactions among virus, prokaryotic host and the environment in mangrove wetlands from multiple perspectives, including viral lifestyles, virus-host interactions, and habitat dependence. Importantly, it provides a new ecological perspective on how mangrove viruses are adapted to the stress posed by urbanization.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Esketamine is increasingly used in clinical anesthesia. The effect of esketamine on the blood flow velocity of the middle cerebral artery has a clinical guiding effect. To investigate the effect of esketamine combined with propofol-induced general anesthesia for endotracheal intubation on the blood flow velocity of middle cerebral artery and hemodynamics during the induction period. METHODS: The randomized clinical trial included 80 patients aged 20-65 years who would undergo non-intracranial elective surgery under general anesthesia in our hospital from May 2022 to May 2023. The participants were divided into two groups based on anesthesia drugs: sufentanil 0.5µg/kg (group C) or 1.5mg/kg esketamine (group E). The primary outcome was variation value in average cerebral blood velocity. The secondary outcomes included cerebral blood flow velocities (CBFV), blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR) at four different time points: before induction of general anesthesia (T0), 1 min after the induction drug injected (T1), before endotracheal intubation (T2), and 1min after endotracheal intubation (T3). The occurrence of hypotension, hypertension, tearing and choking during induction was also documented. RESULTS: The variation of average CBFV from time T0 to T2(ΔVm1) and the variation from time T3 to T0 (ΔVm2) were not obviously different. The median consumption of intraoperative sufentanil in group C was obviously lower than that in group E. At T1, the mean HR of group E was significantly higher than that of group C. At T2 and T3, the BP and HR of group E were obviously higher than that of group C. At T2, the CBFV in the group E were obviously higher than those in the group C. The incidence of hypotension was significantly reduced in the group E compared with the group C. There were no differences in the other outcomes. CONCLUSIONS: The induction of esketamine combined with propofol does not increase the blood flow velocity of middle cerebral artery. Esketamine is advantageous in maintaining hemodynamic stability during induction. Furthermore, the administration of esketamine did not result in an increased incidence of adverse effects. RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Pathology is considered the gold standard for the diagnosis of lung lesions, but the pathological result is relatively lagging and cannot provide real-time guidance for the biopsy procedure. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the potential application of rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) during flexible bronchoscopy (FB) in the evaluation and diagnosis of lung lesions. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Consecutive patients who underwent FB for the diagnosis of lung lesions between August 2022 and February 2023 were included in this retrospective study. 294 patients underwent FB with ROSE, while 304 patients underwent FB without ROSE. The final pathological results and the number of patients undergoing repeat biopsies were recorded in both groups. Specifically, we conducted separate statistical analysis for patients undergoing different biopsy methods, including the endobronchial biopsy (EBB), radial probe endobronchial ultrasound transbronchial lung biopsy with guide sheath (r-EBUS-GS-TBLB), and the endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) to study the detailed roles that ROSE plays under different biopsy methods. RESULTS: The adequacy rate of biopsy specimens from the non-ROSE group was significantly lower than that of the ROSE group (259/281 = 92.17 % vs. 263/268 = 98.13 %, p = 0.001). Meanwhile, fewer patients underwent repeat biopsies in the ROSE group compared to the non-ROSE group (2/294 = 0.68 % vs. 10/304 = 3.29 %, p = 0.023). For the ROSE group, the consistency between ROSE diagnoses and final pathological diagnoses was 94.40 % (κ = 0.886), with 95.58 % for benign diseases and 93.55 % for malignant diseases. CONCLUSION: The utility of ROSE during FB increases the adequacy rate of biopsy specimens and thus decreases the need for repeat biopsies in patients with lung lesions to get a definite diagnosis. Moreover, the high consistency between ROSE diagnoses and final pathological diagnoses suggests that ROSE is a reliable tool for optimizing the diagnosis of lung lesions.

RESUMO

Loquat (Eriobotrya japonica) is an economically important subtropical fruit crop in China. Field surveys conducted in different loquat orchards located in Chongqing, Sichuan and Fujian province between 2017-2020 resulted in a collection of 56 Alternaria-like isolates from trees exhibiting symptoms of loquat leaf spot. Multigene phylogenetic analyses using seven gene regions, namely ITS, gapdh, RPB2, tef1, Alt a 1, endoPG and OPA10-2, showed that all the isolates belonged to the genus Alternaria, and supporting morphological analysis identified them as members of species A. alternata, A. gaisen and A. chongqingensis sp. nov. In vitro- and in vivo- pathogenicity tests showed all the identified species to be pathogenic and able to cause leaf spot disease on loquat. Moreover, comprehensive phylogenetic analyses employing all combinations of the above seven gene sequences revealed the capability of Alt a 1-tef1-endoPG to provide a well-resolved gene tree for Alternaria spp. at the species level. This study adds to the current knowledge on an unknown species (A. chongqingensis sp. nov.) and the first report of A. gaisen in loquat worldwide.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Acute total hip arthroplasty has gained increasing popularity in the treatment of complex acetabular fractures in elderly patients, but the biomechanical evidence is lacking. Therefore, we measured the primary stability to evaluate whether acute total hip arthroplasty using a multi-hole acetabular cup and posterior column plating through a single K-L approach can safely be used for treating complexed acetabular fractures in the elderly. METHODS: In 18 composite osteoporotic hemipelves, T-type acetabular fractures were treated in three ways: CSP (Cup with acetabular screws augmentation combined with posterior plate) group, CP (Cup without acetabular screw combined with posterior plate) group and CSPA (Cup with acetabular screws combined with posterior plate and anterior plate) group. Each specimen was dynamically loaded (300 to 1700 N, 1 Hz). Primary stability of the acetabular cup and fracture gap was evaluated by 3-dimensional (3D) micromotions. RESULTS: No significant differences in the 3D-micromotions were observed among the CSP, CP and CSPA groups except the test point on the anterior column of the acetabulum in the CP scenario (CSP 49.33 ± 21.08 µm vs. CP 224.83 ± 52.29 µm, p < 0.001; CSPA 45.50 ± 12.16 µm vs. CP 224.83 ± 52.29 µm, p < 0.001). No significant differences in the fracture gap displacement on the posterior column of acetabulum were observed among the CSP, CP and CSPA groups. CONCLUSION: Our results show, that acute total hip arthroplasty using a multi-hole cup with acetabular screws and posterior column plating through single a K-L approach offers good primary stability to allow good osseous integration for treating complex acetabular fractures in the elderly. Furthermore, it also provides good fracture gap displacement on the posterior column.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors (DPP-4i) have become firmly established in treatment algorithms and national guidelines for improving glycemic control in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).To report the findings from a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 3 clinical trial, which was designed to assess the efficacy and safety of a novel DPP-4 inhibitor fotagliptin in treatment-naive patients with T2DM. METHODS: Patients with T2DM were randomized to receive fotagliptin (n = 230), alogliptin (n = 113) or placebo (n = 115) at a 2:1:1 ratio for 24 weeks of double-blind treatment period, followed by an open-label treatment period, making up a total of 52 weeks. The primary efficacy endpoint was to determine the superiority of fotagliptin over placebo in the change of HbA1c from baseline to Week 24. All serious or significant adverse events were recorded. RESULTS: After 24 weeks, mean decreases in HbA1c from baseline were -0.70% for fotagliptin, -0.72% for alogliptin and -0.26% for placebo. Estimated mean treatment differences in HbA1c were -0.44% (95% confidence interval [CI]: -0.62% to -0.27%) for fotagliptin versus placebo, and -0.46% (95% CI: -0.67% to -0.26%) for alogliptin versus placebo, and 0.02% (95%CI: -0.16% to 0.19%; upper limit of 95%CI < margin of 0.4%) for fotagliptin versus alogliptin. So fotagliptin was non-inferior to alogliptin. Compared with subjects with placebo (15.5%), significantly more patients with fotagliptin (37.0%) and alogliptin (35.5%) achieved HbA1c < 7.0% after 24 weeks of treatment. During the whole 52 weeks of treatment, the overall incidence of hypoglycemia was low for both of the fotagliptin and alogliptin groups (1.0% each). No drug-related serious adverse events were observed in any treatment group. CONCLUSIONS: In summary, the study demonstrated improvement in glycemic control and a favorable safety profile for fotagliptin in treatment-naive patients with T2DM. RESUMO

Renal impairment (RI) used to exclude multiple myeloma (MM) patients from autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) for safety concerns. Here, we retrospectively reviewed 34 consecutively transplanted patients with creatinine clearance < 60 ml/min at ASCT in recent 5 years at our institution. Busulfan/cyclophosphamide and high-dose melphalan were both employed as conditioning regimens. We found 62% grade 1-2 oral mucositis, 12% grade 3 oral mucositis, 48% grade 3 infection, 8% grade ≥ 4 infection, 50% grade 1 transient creatinine increase, 15% cardiac adverse events, and 12% engraftment syndrome. One case of secondary platelet graft failure and 1 case of transplantation-related mortality were observed. Interleukin-6 concentration was elevated among patients with increased body temperature and/or N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide during engraftment, and close monitoring of these markers may help to predict susceptibility to cardiac events and engraftment syndrome. Adverse events occurred frequently, but the majority were manageable in this cohort. ASCT would further deepen the anti-myeloma efficacy and slightly ameliorated renal function. With a median follow-up of 26.2 months post transplantation (range: 1.6-74.8 months), the median progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) post-transplantation of patients undergoing first-line transplantation were not reached; the median PFS post-transplantation of patients undergoing rescue transplantation was 19.2 months and the median OS was not reached.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: The aim of this radiological study was to compare several relevant modified and newly applied patella height indices (PHI) in navigated primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA) to determine intra- and interobserver reliability in order to give a recommendation for clinical application in measuring patella height (PH) in primary TKA. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A retrospective data analysis assessing different PHI (modified Insall-Salvati index (mISI), Caton-Deschamps index (mCDI), Blackburne-Peel index (mBPI), Plateau-Patella Angle (mPPA); Miura-Kawaramura index (MKI), Knee-Triangular index (KTI)) on lateral knee radiographs was performed by two blinded observers using the same software three months pre- and postoperatively. Concordance correlation coefficient and Pearson's correlation respectively were determined for intra- and interobserver rating as well as a categorization according to Landis and Koch and Cohen. RESULTS: A total of 337/291 patients of a 5-year period could be analyzed pre-/postoperatively. Excellent postoperative interrater results according to the categorization of Landis and Koch were achieved for the mBPI (Pearson 0.98) > mPPA (0.90) > KTI (0.86), good results for the MKI (0.79) and the mCDI (0.69), and moderate results for the mISI (0.52) with a predominantly strong Cohen correlation in almost all cases. Preoperatively, the mBPI and the KTI were the best interrated PHI. No PH changes could be found postoperatively for the mISI, KTI, MKI, and mPPA. CONCLUSION: The mBPI, the mPPA, and the KTI can be recommended for PH assessment in TKA. The mPPA might be the easiest one to use in a daily clinical set-up.

RESUMO

Nowadays, ultra-wideband (UWB) technology is becoming a new approach to localize keyfobs in the car keyless entry system (KES), because it provides precise localization and secure communication. However, for vehicles the distance ranging suffers from great errors because of none-line-of-sight (NLOS) which is raised by the car. Regarding the NLOS problem, efforts have been made to mitigate the point-to-point ranging error or to estimate the tag coordinate by neural networks. However, it still suffers from some problems such as low accuracy, overfitting, or a large number of parameters. In order to address these problems, we propose a fusion method of a neural network and linear coordinate solver (NN-LCS). We use two FC layers to extract the distance feature and received signal strength (RSS) feature, respectively, and a multi-layer perceptron (MLP) to estimate the distances with the fusion of these two features. We prove that the least square method which supports error loss backpropagation in the neural network is feasible for distance correcting learning. Therefore, our model is end-to-end and directly outputs the localization results. The results show that the proposed method is high-accuracy and with small model size which could be easily deployed on embedded devices with low computing ability.

RESUMO

PURPOSE: Comminuted inferior patellar pole fractures are challenging injuries and require effective treatment due to the extension mechanism of the knee. This study aims to evaluate the outcome of above fractures treated with a modified technique of cerclage-wire-augmented separate vertical wiring (SVW) with cerclage wiring passed through the proximal patella. METHODS: Retrospective analysis (1/2017-1/2020) were performed for patients that were treated with three SVWs through the posterior margin of proximal fragment and directly to the anterosuperior border of patella, combined with a cerclage wiring passed through the proximal patella. Patients who experienced comminuted inferior patellar pole fractures within 3 weeks were included, and the outcome was evaluated radiologically and clinically by Bostman score after a minimum of 12 months following surgery. Further evaluation included the operation time and complication rate. RESULTS: A total of 20 patients (10 males, 10 females) with a mean age of 54 ± 14.5 years (26-83 years) and a follow-up of 18.9 ± 6.6 months (12-36 months) were evaluated. The average operation time was 45.7 ± 8.8 min (30-60 min). At final follow-up, the average range of motion was 131.3° ± 3.5° (125°-135°), and the mean Bostman score was 29.4 ± 0.7 points (28-30) and graded excellent in all cases. Two patients experienced occasional giving way of the knee. Radiologically no loss of reduction, implant breakage, nonunion or skin irritation was observed. CONCLUSIONS: The cerclage-wire-augmented SVW with cerclage wiring passed through the proximal patella appears to be a safe and simple technique which can effectively treat the comminuted inferior patellar pole fractures.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Recent literature reported the biological role of C-peptide, but this role is still controversial and unclear. The primary aim of this study was to investigate associations between C-peptide and cardiovascular biomarkers as well as events. METHODS: A total of 55636 participants who had a health examination from 2017 to 2021 were included. Of them, 6727 participants visited the hospital at least twice. Cardiovascular biomarkers like high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and high-sensitivity cardiac troponin T (hs-cTnT) were measured and their relationships with fasting C-peptide were evaluated for all participants. Cardiovascular events were obtained during the last visit and their associations with C-peptide were evaluated for those participants who visited the hospital at least twice. RESULTS: Among the included participants, 11.1% had a previous type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). In the participants without previous T2DM, the relationships between fasting C-peptide and hs-CRP and hs-cTnT were negative if the value of fasting C-peptide was < 1.4 ng/mL and positive if the value was ≥ 1.4 ng/mL. These relationships remained significant after adjusting for hemoglobin A1c, insulin resistance index, and its interaction with C-peptide, even if the participants were stratified by glucose metabolism status or levels of insulin resistance index. Hazard ratios of cardiovascular events were first decreased and then increased with the increasing of baseline C-peptide levels, though these associations became unsignificant using the multivariate Cox regression model. Unlike the participants without previous T2DM, the associations of C-peptide with cardiovascular biomarkers and events were not significant in the patients with previous T2DM. CONCLUSIONS: The associations of C-peptide with cardiovascular biomarkers and events were different between the participants without previous T2DM and those with previous T2DM. The effect of C-peptide on cardiovascular risk may be bidirectional, play a benefit role at a low level, and play a harmful role at a high level in the nondiabetic adults and the patients with newly diagnosed T2DM.

RESUMO

The removal of organic dyes and pathogenic bacteria from contaminated water remains a significant challenge. In the present study, S-type heterojunction Ag2MoO4/ZnFe2O4 (AMO/ZFO) composite nanofibers were synthesized by electrospinning and co-precipitation and fabricated into photoanodes. It is found that the constructed S-type heterojunction of AMO/ZFO composites effectively inhibits the recombination of photogenerated carriers, in addition to the benefits of more exposed active sites and a greater specific surface area. When several properties are improved, AMO/ZFO composites exhibit excellent photoelectrocatalytic performance. The results demonstrate that under visible light irradiation, the photoelectrocatalytic degradation rate of AMO/ZFO-3 to methylene blue reached 76.2% within 50 min, and the killing rate of Salmonella was 83.6% within 80 min. The enhanced photoelectrocatalytic activity was due to the synergy of both electrochemical and photocatalytic effects. More importantly, after four testing cycles, AMO/ZFO-3 still has a better ability to kill pathogenic bacteria and degrade organic dyes due to its high stability. This work provides a feasible method for oxidizing organic dyes and pathogenic bacteria.

RESUMO

Arsenic (As) is toxic and ubiquitous in the environment, posing a growing threat to human health. As-hyperaccumulator Pteris vittata has been used for phytoremediation of As-contaminated soil. Symbiosis with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) enhances As accumulation by P. vittata, which is different from As inhibition in typical plants. In this study, P. vittata seedlings inoculated with or without AMF were cultivated in As-contaminated soils for 2 months. AMF-root symbiosis enhanced plant growth, with 64.5% greater As contents in the fronds. After exposure to AsV for 2 h, the arsenate (AsV) and arsenite (AsIII) contents in AMF-roots increased by 1.8- and 3.6-fold, suggesting more efficient As uptake by P. vittata with AMF-roots. Plants take up and transport AsV via phosphate transporters (Phts). Here, for the first time, we identified a novel mycorrhiza-specific Pht transporter, PvPht1;6, from P. vittata. The transcripts of PvPht1;6 were strongly induced in AMF-roots, which were localized to the plasma membrane of arbuscule-containing cells. By complementing a yeast mutant lacking 5-Phts, we confirmed PvPht1;6's transport activity for both P and AsV. In contrast to typical AMF-inducible phosphate transporter LePT4 from tomato, PvPht1;6 showed greater AsV transport capacity. The results suggest that PvPht1;6 is probably critical for AsV transport at the periarbuscular membrane of P. vittata root cells, revealing the underlying mechanism of efficient As accumulation in P. vittata with AMF-roots.

Axillary osmidrosis (AO) and primary hyperhidrosis (PH) are common diseases, but there are still difficulties in treatment. Microwave therapy may become a new method. In order to evaluate long-time efficacy of patients with AO or PH treated by microwave and to discuss possible mechanism of microwave therapy by combining results of clinical and pathological, the study was carried out. Ten AO or PH patients with moderate or severe level were selected as subjects, and each subject received microwave treatment of bilateral armpits. The follow-up period lasted 2 years, and the changes of perspiration and odor were evaluated in subjective and objective ways. Each subject took skin biopsy in the treatment area before and after treatment or each follow-up. Hematoxylin-eosin and immunohistochemical staining were performed. Both subjective and objective index reflected the significant improvement of AO and PH after treatment (p < 0.05). Dermatology life quality index score decreased by 10.4 ± 4.6 (p < 0.05). The number of apocrine glands decreased significantly after treatment, and most of them changed from secretory phase to quiescent phase. In conclusion, microwave therapy can destroy apocrine sweat glands, reduce number of functional glands, so as to improve symptoms of AO and PH and elevate quality of life, which is safe, effective, and stable.

RESUMO

The stable operation of climbing robots exposed to high winds is of great significance for the health-monitoring of structures. This study proposes an anole lizard-like climbing robot inspired by its superior wind resistance. First, the stability mechanism of the anole lizard body in adhesion and desorption is investigated by developing adhesion and desorption models, respectively. Then, the hypothesis that the anole lizard improves its adhesion and stability performance through abdominal adjustment and trunk swing is tested by developing a simplified body model and kinematic model. After that, the structures of the toe, limb, and multi-stage flexible torso of the anole lizard-like climbing robot are designed. Subsequently, the aerodynamic behavior of the proposed robot under high-speed airflow are investigated using finite element analysis. The results show that when there is no obstacle, the climbing robot generates the normal force to enhance toepad friction and adhesion by tuning the abdomen's shape to create an air pressure difference between the back and abdomen. When there is an obstacle, a component force is obtained through periodic oscillation of the spine and tail to resist the frontal winds resulting from the vortex paths generated by the airflow behind the obstacle. These results confirm that the proposed hypothesis is correct. Finally, the adhesion and wind resistance performance of the anole lizard-like climbing robot is tested through the developed experimental platform. It is found that the adhesion force is equal to 50 N when the pre-pressure is 20 N. Further, it is shown that the normal pressure of the proposed robot can reach 76.6% of its weight in a high wind of 14 m/s.

RESUMO

Polymeric ultrafine fibrous membranes (UFMs) with high thermal stability and high whiteness are highly desired in modern optoelectronic applications. A series of fluoro-containing polyimide (FPI) UFMs with high whiteness, good thermal stability, and good hydrophobicity were prepared via a one-step electrospinning procedure from the organo-soluble FPI resins derived from a fluoro-containing dianhydride, 4,4'-(hexafluoroisopropylidene) diphthalic anhydride (6FDA), and various diamines containing either pendant trifluoromethyl (-CF3) groups or alicyclic units in the side chains. The obtained FPI UFMs, including FPI-1 from 6FDA and 3,5-diaminobenzotrifluoride (TFMDA), FPI-2 from 6FDA and 2'-trifluoromethyl-3,4'-oxydianiline (3FODA), FPI-3 from 6FDA and 1,4-bis[(4-amino-2-trifluoromethyl)phenoxy]benzene (6FAPB), FPI-4 from 4,4'-bis[(4-amino-2-trifluoromethyl)phenoxy]biphenyl (6FBAB), and FPI-5 from 6FDA and 4'-tert-butyl-cyclohexyl-3,5-diaminobenzoate (DABC) showed whiteness indices (WI) higher than 87.00 and optical reflectance values higher than 80% at the wavelength of 457 nm (R457), respectively. The FPI-5 UFM, especially, showed the highest WI of 92.88. Meanwhile, the prepared PI UFMs exhibited good hydrophobic features with water contact angles (WCA) higher than 105°. At last, the PI UFMs exhibited good thermal stability with glass transition temperatures (Tg) higher than 255 °C, and the 5% weight-loss temperatures (T5%) higher than 510 °C in nitrogen.

RESUMO

Heat-processed Gynostemma pentaphyllum has strong biological activity, and saponins are the main components. To investigate the changes of saponins in G. pentaphyllum before and after heat processing, the present study determined and analyzed the content of nine saponins in G. pentaphyllum from Zhangzhou of Fujian and Jinxiu of Guangxi by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography with quadrupole ion-trap mass spectrometry(UPLC-Q-Trap-MS). The separation of the analytes was performed on an ACQUITY UPLC BEH C_(18) column(2.1 mm×50 mm, 1.7 µm) at 30 ℃, with acetonitrile and 0.1% formic acid in water as the mobile phase by gradient elution, and the flow rate was 0.3 mL·min~(-1). Quantitative analysis was performed using electrospray ionization source(ESI) in the multiple reaction-monitoring(MRM) mode. The results showed that the content of saponins with biological activities increased after heat processing. Specifically, gypenoside L, gypenoside LI, damulin A, damulin B, ginsenoside Rg_3(S), and ginsenoside Rg_3(R) in G. pentaphyllum produced in Zhangzhou of Fujian increased by 7.369, 8.289, 12.155, 7.587, 0.929, and 1.068 µg·g~(-1), respectively, while the content of ginsenoside Rd, gypenoside LVI, and gypenoside XLVI, which were abundant in the raw materials, decreased by 0.779, 19.37, and 9.19 µg·g~(-1), respectively. The content of gypenoside L, gypenoside LI, damulin A, damulin B, ginsenoside Rg_3(S), and ginsenoside Rg_3(R) in G. pentaphyllum produced in Jinxiu of Guangxi increased by 0.100, 0.161, 0.317, 0.228, 3.280, and 3.395 µg·g~(-1), respectively, while the content of ginsenoside Rd, gypenoside LVI, and gypenoside XLVI in the raw materials was reduced by 1.661, 0.014, and 0.010 µg·g~(-1), respectively. The results suggest that heat processing is an effective way to transform rare gypenosides. Furthermore, it is found that there are great differences in the content of gypenosides in different regions.
