RESUMO

Intestinal epithelial cells (IECs) are implicated in the propagation of T-cell-mediated inflammatory diseases, including graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), but the underlying mechanism remains poorly defined. Here, we report that IECs require receptor-interacting protein kinase-3 (RIPK3) to drive both gastrointestinal (GI) tract and systemic GVHD after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Selectively inhibiting RIPK3 in IECs markedly reduces GVHD in murine intestine and liver. IEC RIPK3 cooperates with RIPK1 to trigger mixed lineage kinase domain-like protein-independent production of T-cell-recruiting chemokines and major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecules, which amplify and sustain alloreactive T-cell responses. Alloreactive T-cell-produced interferon gamma enhances this RIPK1/RIPK3 action in IECs through a JAK/STAT1-dependent mechanism, creating a feed-forward inflammatory cascade. RIPK1/RIPK3 forms a complex with JAK1 to promote STAT1 activation in IECs. The RIPK1/RIPK3-mediated inflammatory cascade of alloreactive T-cell responses results in intestinal tissue damage, converting the local inflammation into a systemic syndrome. Human patients with severe GVHD showed highly activated RIPK1 in the colon epithelium. Finally, we discover a selective and potent RIPK1 inhibitor (Zharp1-211) that significantly reduces JAK/STAT1-mediated expression of chemokines and MHC class II molecules in IECs, restores intestinal homeostasis, and arrests GVHD without compromising the graft-versus-leukemia (GVL) effect. Thus, targeting RIPK1/RIPK3 in IECs represents an effective nonimmunosuppressive strategy for GVHD treatment and potentially for other diseases involving GI tract inflammation.

RESUMO

The emergence of antibiotic and antifungal resistant microorganisms represents nowadays a major public health issue that might push humanity into a post-antibiotic/antifungal era. One of the approaches to avoid such a catastrophe is to advance rapid antibiotic and antifungal susceptibility tests. In this study, we present a compact, optical fiber-based nanomotion sensor to achieve this goal by monitoring the dynamic nanoscale oscillation of a cantilever related to microorganism viability. High detection sensitivity was achieved that was attributed to the flexible two-photon polymerized cantilever with a spring constant of 0.3 N/m. This nanomotion device showed an excellent performance in the susceptibility tests of Escherichia coli and Candida albicans with a fast response in a time frame of minutes. As a proof-of-concept, with the simplicity of use and the potential of parallelization, our innovative sensor is anticipated to be an interesting candidate for future rapid antibiotic and antifungal susceptibility tests and other biomedical applications.

RESUMO

Bimodal-type multiplexed immunoassays with complementary mode-based correlation analysis are gaining increasing attention for enhancing the practicability of the lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA). Nonetheless, the restriction in visually indistinguishable multitargets induced by a single fluorescent color and difficulty in single acceptor ineffectual fluorescence quenching due to the various spectra of multiple different donors impede the further execution of colorimetric-fluorescence bimodal-type multiplexed LFIAs. Herein, the precise spectral overlap-based donor-acceptor pair construction strategy is proposed by regulating the size of the nanocore, coating it with an appropriate nanoshell, and selecting a suitable fluorescence donor with distinct colors. By in situ coating Prussian blue nanoparticles (PBNPs) on AuNPs with a tunable size and absorption spectrum, the resultant APNPs demonstrate efficient fluorescence quenching ability, higher colloidal stability, remarkable colorimetric intensity, and an enhanced antibody coupling efficiency, all of which facilitate highly sensitive bimodal-type LFIA analysis. Following integration with competitive-type immunoreaction, this precise spectral overlap-supported spatial separation traffic light-typed colorimetric-fluorescence dual-response assay (coined as the STCFD assay) with the limits of detection of 0.013 and 0.152 ng mL-1 for ractopamine and clenbuterol, respectively, was proposed. This work illustrates the superiority of the rational design of a precise spectral overlap-based donor-acceptor pair, hinting at the enormous potential of the STCFD assay in the point-of-care field.

RESUMO

Recent chronological breakthroughs in materials innovation, their fabrication, and structural designs for disparate applications have paved transformational ways to subversively digitalize infrared (IR) thermal imaging sensors from traditional to smart. The noninvasive IR thermal imaging sensors are at the cutting edge of developments, exploiting the abilities of nanomaterials to acquire arbitrary, targeted, and tunable responses suitable for integration with host materials and devices, intimately disintegrate variegated signals from the target onto depiction without any discomfort, eliminating motional artifacts and collects precise physiological and physiochemical information in natural contexts. Highlighting several typical examples from recent literature, this review article summarizes an accessible, critical, and authoritative summary of an emerging class of advancement in the modalities of nano and micro-scale materials and devices, their fabrication designs and applications in infrared thermal sensors. Introduction is begun covering the importance of IR sensors, followed by a survey on sensing capabilities of various nano and micro structural materials, their design architects, and then culminating an overview of their diverse application swaths. The review concludes with a stimulating frontier debate on the opportunities, difficulties, and future approaches in the vibrant sector of infrared thermal imaging sensors.

RESUMO

Self-powered vibration sensor is highly desired for distributed and continuous monitoring requirements of Industry 4.0. Herein, a flexible fiber-shaped triboelectric nanogenerator (F-TENG) with a coaxial core-shell structure is proposed for the vibration monitoring. The F-TENG exhibits higher adaptability to the complex surfaces, which has an outstanding application prospect due to vital compensation for the existing rigid sensors. Initially, the contact characteristics between the dielectric layers, that related to the perceiving performance of the TENG, are theoretically analyzed. Such a TENG with 1D structure endows high sensitivity, allowing for accurately responding to a wide range of vibration frequencies (0.1 to 100 Hz). Even applying to the real diesel engine, the error in detecting the vibration frequencies is only 0.32% compared with the commercial vibration sensor, highlighting its potential in practical application. Further, assisted by deep learning, the recognition accuracy in monitoring nine operating conditions of the system achieves 97.87%. Overall, the newly designed F-TENG with the merits of high-adaptability, cost-efficiency, and self-powered, has offered a promising solution to fulfill an extensive range of vibration sensing applications in the future.

RESUMO

Zn metal anodes in aqueous electrolytes suffer from interface issues including uncontrolled dendrite growth and undesired side reactions, resulting in their limited application in terms of short circuits and cell failure. Herein, a hybrid interface chemistry strategy is developed through ultrafast microwave polarization at the skin region of bare Zn. Owing to efficient Joule heating directed by abundant local hot spots at electron valleys, the rapid establishment of a dense interfacial layer can be realized within a minute. Stabilized Zn with suppressed side reactions or surface corrosion is therefore achieved due to the interfacial protection. Importantly, hybrid zincophilic sites involving laterally/vertically interconnected Cu-Zn intermetallic compound and Zn2+ -conductive oxide species ensure mixed charge conducting (denoted as CuHL@Zn), featuring uniformly distributed electric field and boosted Zn2+ diffusion kinetics. As a consequence, CuHL@Zn in symmetric cells affords lifespans of 2800 and 3200 h with ultra-low polarization voltages (≈19 and 56 mV) at a plating capacity of 1.0 mAh cm-2 for 1 and 5 mA cm-2 , respectively. The CuHL@Zn||MnO2 full cell further exhibits cycling stability with a capacity retention of over 80% for 500 cycles at 2 A g-1 .

RESUMO

Rust diseases, including leaf rust, stripe/yellow rust, and stem rust, significantly impact wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) yields, causing substantial economic losses every year. Breeding and deployment of cultivars with genetic resistance is the most effective and sustainable approach to control these diseases. The genetic toolkit for wheat breeders to select for rust resistance has rapidly expanded with a multitude of genetic loci identified using the latest advances in genomics, mapping and cloning strategies. The goal of this review was to establish a wheat genome atlas that provides a comprehensive summary of reported loci associated with rust resistance. Our atlas provides a summary of mapped quantitative trait loci (QTL) and characterised genes for the three rusts from 170 publications over the past two decades. A total of 920 QTL or resistance genes were positioned across the 21 chromosomes of wheat based on the latest wheat reference genome (IWGSC RefSeq v2.1). Interestingly, 26 genomic regions contained multiple rust loci suggesting they could have pleiotropic effects on two or more rust diseases. We discuss a range of strategies to exploit this wealth of genetic information to efficiently utilise sources of resistance, including genomic information to stack desirable and multiple QTL to develop wheat cultivars with enhanced resistance to rust disease.

RESUMO

Wet film leveling can greatly promote film uniformity. However, in the field of metal nanowire, wet film leveling is rarely mentioned. For low-viscosity inks like metal nanowire ink, how to realize wet film leveling is still unclear. Herein, we study the wet film leveling of silver nanowire ink and systematically investigate the relationship between leveling effect and influence factors: (1) there is a uniformity-promotion limit for traditional methods, while wet film leveling can break through this limit and further promote the film uniformity; (2) for wet film leveling, lowering ink's surface tension has no effect, and eliminating surface tension gradient by high-surface-tension leveling agent is the main task; (3) leveling process includes wet film destruction process and ink reflow process; (4) in the destruction process, the leveling-agent solubility and quantity dominate the leveling effect, while the influence of surface tension is little; (5) for solubility and quantity, there is a suitable range to realize optimum leveling effect, and the leveling effect exhibits a contrary relationship with the solubility in a suitable range (2-11%); (6) in the reflow process, the main influence factor is ink viscosity, and the leveling effect exhibits a contrary relationship with ink viscosity. After being leveled by 1.5% n-pentanol, the sheet resistance and sheet-resistance variation coefficient of film decrease from 38.3 Ω/sq/3.83% to 25.7 Ω/sq/1.88%. Further study reveals that the film improvement is not from the ink wettability and drying. Above theoretical results possess certain universality for film preparation by a wet process and can be used by the science and industry field.

RESUMO

The metal-thiol interface is ubiquitous in nanotechnology and surface chemistry. It is not only used to construct nanocomposites but also plays a decisive role in the properties of these materials. When organothiol molecules bind to the gold surface, there is still controversy over whether sulfhydryl groups can form disulfide bonds and whether these disulfide bonds can remain stable on the gold surface. Here, we investigate the intrinsic properties of sulfhydryl groups on the gold surface at the single-molecule level using a scanning tunneling microscope break junction technique. Our findings indicate that sulfhydryl groups can react with each other to form disulfide bonds on the gold surface, and the electric field can promote the sulfhydryl coupling reaction. In addition to these findings, ultraviolet irradiation is used to effectively regulate the coupling between sulfhydryl groups, leading to the formation and cleavage of disulfide bonds. These results unveil the intrinsic properties of sulfhydryl groups on the gold surface, therefore facilitating the accurate construction of broad nanocomposites with the desired functionalities.

RESUMO

Catalytic hydrogenation of nitrobenzene (Ph-NO2) to aniline (Ph-NH2) is a model reaction in the field of catalysis, in which the development of efficient catalysts remains a great challenge due to the lack of strategies to solve activity and selectivity problems. In this work, the mechanism of Ph-NO2 hydrogenation over Pt1 supported on phosphomolybdic acid (α-PMA) was proposed by density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The results show that the dissociation of the first and second N-O bonds is triggered by single H-induced and double H-induced mechanisms, respectively. The limiting potential of the reaction process is -0.19 V, which is the smallest potential in the field of Ph-NO2 reduction reaction to date. In the whole reaction process, the catalytic active site is the Pt atom, and polyoxometalate plays the role of an electronic sponge in the reaction. Additionally, based on experimentally confirmed Pt1/Na3PMA, the reduction capacity of Pd1/Na3PMA toward Ph-NO2 was predicted by DFT calculation. The distinctive adsorption patterns of Ph-NO2 on Pt1/Na3PMA and Pd1/Na3PMA were elucidated using the DOS diagram and fragment molecular orbital analysis. We anticipate that our theoretical calculations can provide novel perspectives for experimental researchers.

RESUMO

Carbon dioxide (CO2) coupled with epoxide to generate cyclic carbonate stands out in carbon neutrality due to its 100% atom utilization. In this work, the mechanism of CO2 cycloaddition with propylene oxide (PO) cocatalyzed by windmill-shaped polyoxovanadate, [(C2N2H8)4(CH3O)4VIV4VV4O16]·4CH3OH (V8-1), and n-Bu4NX (X = Br, I) was thoroughly investigated using density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The ring-opening, CO2-insertion, and ring-closing steps of the process were extensively studied. Our work emphasizes the synergistic effect between V8-1 and n-Bu4NX (X = Br, I). Through the analysis of an independent gradient model based on Hirshfeld partition (IGMH), it was found that the attack of n-Bu4NX (X = Br, I) on Cß of PO triggers a distinct attractive interaction between the active fragment and the surrounding framework, serving as the primary driving force for the ring opening of PO. Furthermore, the effect of different cocatalysts was explored, with n-Bu4NI being more favorable than n-Bu4NBr. Moreover, the role of V8-1 in the CO2 cycloaddition reaction was clarified as not only acting as Lewis acid active sites but also serving as "electron sponges". This work is expected to advance the development of novel catalysts for organic carbonate formation.

RESUMO

Beta-arrestin1 is a multifunctional protein critically involved in signal transduction. Recently, it is also identified as a nuclear transcriptional regulator, but the underlying mechanisms and physiological significance remain to be explored. Here, we identified beta-arrestin1 as an evolutionarily conserved protein essential for zebrafish development. Zebrafish embryos depleted of beta-arrestin1 displayed severe posterior defects and especially failed to undergo hematopoiesis. In addition, the expression of cdx4, a critical regulator of embryonic blood formation, and its downstream hox genes were downregulated by depletion of beta-arrestin1, while injection of cdx4, hoxa9a or hoxb4a mRNA rescued the hematopoietic defects. Further mechanistic studies revealed that beta-arrestin1 bound to and sequestered the polycomb group (PcG) recruiter YY1, and relieved PcG-mediated repression of cdx4-hox pathway, thus regulating hematopoietic lineage specification. Taken together, this study demonstrated a critical role of beta-arrestin1 during zebrafish primitive hematopoiesis, as well as an important regulator of PcG proteins and cdx4-hox pathway.

RESUMO

Autonomous outdoor moving objects like cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians present different risks to the safety of Visually Impaired People (VIPs). Consequently, many camera-based VIP mobility assistive solutions have resulted. However, they fail to guarantee VIP safety in practice, i.e., they cannot effectively prevent collisions with more dangerous threats moving at higher speeds, namely, Critical Moving Objects (CMOs). This paper presents the first practical camera-based VIP mobility assistant scheme, ARAware, that effectively identifies CMOs in real-time to give the VIP more time to avoid danger through simultaneously addressing CMO identification, CMO risk level evaluation and classification, and prioritised CMO warning notification. Experimental results based on our real-world prototype demonstrate that ARAware accurately identifies CMOs (with 97.26% mAR and 88.20% mAP) in real-time (with a 32 fps processing speed for 30 fps incoming video). It precisely classifies CMOs according to their risk levels (with 100% mAR and 91.69% mAP), and warns in a timely manner about high-risk CMOs while effectively reducing false alarms by postponing the warning of low-risk CMOs. Compared to the closest state-of-the-art approach, DEEP-SEE, ARAware achieves significantly higher CMO identification accuracy (by 42.62% in mAR and 10.88% in mAP), with a 93% faster end-to-end processing speed.

RESUMO

The progressive decline of the coal industry necessitates the development of effective treatment solutions for acid mine drainage (AMD), which is characterized by high acidity and elevated concentrations of heavy metals. This study proposes an innovative approach leveraging sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) acclimated to contaminated anaerobic environments. The research focused on elucidating the physiological characteristics and optimal growth conditions of SRB, particularly in relation to the pH level and temperature. The experimental findings reveal that the SRB exhibited a sulfate removal rate of 88.86% at an optimal temperature of 30 °C. Additionally, SRB gel particles were formulated using sodium alginate (SA) and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), and their performance was assessed under specific conditions (pH = 6, C/S = 1.5, T = 30 °C, CMC = 4.5%, BSNa = 0.4 mol/L, and cross-linking time = 9 h). Under these conditions, the SRB gel particles demonstrated an enhanced sulfate removal efficiency of 91.6%. Thermal analysis via differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) provided further insights into the stability and properties of the SRB gel spheres. The findings underscore the potential of SRB-based bioremediation as a sustainable and efficient method for AMD treatment, offering a novel and environmentally friendly solution to mitigating the adverse effects of environmental contamination.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Gout is a common form of inflammatory arthritis that can cause a number of serious complications. Complications are common in patients with gout and complicate their management and disease outcome. The recent literature has reported that an increasing number of gout patients are presenting with dry eye symptoms. However, until now, the link between gout and dry eye disease has not been clearly defined. (It is unclear whether the two conditions simply co-exist, whether there are common risk factors, or whether dry eye disease is a complication of gout.) METHODS: A thorough literature search was conducted in the PubMed database to summarize the most recent information on the correlation between gout and dry eye disease and to explore the potential relationship between the pathogenesis of the two. (Objective: Therefore, in this paper, we review the recent literature on the correlation between gout and dry eye disease and explore the potential association between the pathogenesis of both.) RESULTS: Studies in the last five years have shown a correlation between gout and dry eye, i.e., gout is associated with an increased risk of dry eye. The NLRP3-IL-1ß signaling pathway may be a potential mechanism for the combination of gout and dry eye disease; factors such as high blood uric acid and xanthine oxidase activation in gout patients may aggravate the development of dry eye disease; reducing the use of visual display terminals; reducing or abstaining from alcohol consumption; and moderate coffee intake may effectively prevent gout and dry eye disease. CONCLUSIONS: It is an undisputed fact that many gout patients present with dry eye manifestations that seriously affect the quality of life of gout patients, and early detection and treatment of dry eye in gout patients are crucial.

RESUMO

Spectrally selective narrowband photodetection is critical for near-infrared (NIR) imaging applications, such as for communicationand night-vision utilities. It is a long-standing challenge for detectors based on silicon, to achieve narrowband photodetection without integrating any optical filters. Here, this work demonstrates a NIR nanograting Si/organic (PBDBT-DTBT:BTP-4F) heterojunction photodetector (PD), which for the first time obtains the full-width-at-half-maximum (FWHM) of only 26 nm and fast response of 74 µs at 895 nm. The response peak can be successfully tailored from 895 to 977 nm. The sharp and narrow response NIR peak is inherently attributed to the coherent overlapping between the NIR transmission spectrum of organic layer and diffraction enhanced absorption peak of patterned nanograting Si substrates. The finite difference time domain (FDTD) physics calculation confirms the resonant enhancement peaks, which is well consistent with the experiment results. Meanwhile, the relative characterization indicates that the introduction of the organic film can promote carrier transfer and charge collection, facilitating efficient photocurrent generation. This new device design strategy opens up a new window in developing low-cost sensitive NIR narrowband detection.

RESUMO

Several guidelines have recommended the use of angiotensin receptor neprilysin inhibitors (ARNIs) as replacement for angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors in the management of heart failure. Till date, there are no reviews done that comprehensively cover different aspects of efficacy and safety parameters. Hence, we have performed a comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis on role of ARNIs for the management of heart failure patients. Searches were done in Embase, Scopus, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, PubMed Central, Cochrane Library, MEDLINE, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect and Clinicaltrials.gov until June 2022. Risk of bias assessment was done with Cochrane's risk of bias tool. Meta-analysis was carried out using random-effects model. Pooled standardized mean difference (SMD)/mean difference (MD) and/or risk ratio (RR) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) was reported. In total, we analysed 34 studies, with almost all of them had a high risk of bias. Pooled RR was 0.88 (95% CI: 0.82-0.95) for all-cause mortality, 0.84 (95% CI: 0.77-0.92) for cardiovascular mortality and 0.78 (95% CI: 0.70-0.87) for hospitalization. Pooled MD was 3.74 (95% CI: 1.93-5.55) for left ventricular ejection fraction, -2.16 (95% CI: -3.58 to -0.74) for left atrial volume index, -3.80 (95% CI: -6.60 to -1.00) for left ventricular end-diastolic dimension and -1.16 (95% CI: -1.98 to -0.35) for E/E' ratio. Regarding adverse events, pooled RR was 1.55 (95% CI: 1.31-1.85) for symptomatic hypotension, 0.93 (95% CI: 0.78-1.11) for worsening renal function, 1.09 (95% CI: 0.94-1.26) for hyperkalaemia and 1.29 (95% CI: 0.67-2.50) for angioedema. ARNIs had beneficial efficacy and safety profile on the management of heart failure especially patients with reduced ejection fraction.

RESUMO

We demonstrated a hybrid sensor of fiber Bragg grating (FBG) and Fabry-Perot interferometer (FPI) based on fiber-tip microcantilever for simultaneous measurement of temperature and humidity. The FPI was developed using femtosecond (fs) laser-induced two-photon polymerization to print the polymer microcantilever at the end of a single-mode fiber, achieving a humidity sensitivity of 0.348 nm/%RH (40% to 90%, when temperature = 25 °C ± 0.1 °C), and a temperature sensitivity of -0.356 nm/°C (25 to 70 °C, when RH% = 40% ± 1%). The FBG was line-by-line inscribed in the fiber core by fs laser micromachining, with a temperature sensitivity of 0.012 nm/ °C (25 to 70 °C, when RH% = 40% ± 1%). As the shift of FBG-peak on the reflection spectra is only sensitive to temperature rather than humidity, the ambient temperature can be directly measured by the FBG. The output of FBG can also be utilized as temperature compensation for FPI-based humidity measurement. Thus, the measured result of relative humidity can be decoupled from the total shift of FPI-dip, achieving the simultaneous measurement of humidity and temperature. Gaining the advantages of high sensitivity, compact size, easy packaging, and dual parameter measurement, this all-fiber sensing probe is anticipated to be applied as the key component for various applications involving the simultaneous measurement of temperature and humidity.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) is a peptide-containing multifunctional cytokine, which is overexpressed and/or activated in multiple malignancies and is reported to be associated with tumor development and inferior survival. At present, the role of HGF in small cell lung cancer (SCLC) has not been fully explored yet. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The expression of HGF and its value in predicting survival in SCLC were explored from GEO database and in pan-cancer analysis. Furthermore, we detected the expression of HGF using tumor tissue and paired plasma samples from a validation cohort of 71 SCLC patients at our institute. Correlation between tumor and plasma HGF expression and the prognostic values were analyzed. RESULTS: GEO database analysis revealed that tumor tissue had lower HGF expression than paired normal tissue in SCLC. At our institute, immunohistochemical staining showed negative expression of HGF in tumor tissue of SCLC at our institute (47/47, 100%). The average baseline plasma HGF was 1.28 (range,0.42-4.35) ng/ml. However, plasma HGF was higher in SCLC patients with patients with N3, M1, liver metastasis (LM) and bone metastasis (BM) disease compared with those N0 - 2 (1.25 vs. 1.75 ng/mL, P = 0.000), M0 (1.26 vs. 1.63 ng/mL, P = 0.003), non-LM (1.32 vs. 2.06 ng/mL, P = 0.009), and non-BM (1.35 vs. 1.77 ng/mL, P = 0.047), respectively. Multivariate analysis revealed plasma HGF was an independent predictor for LM and prognostic factor of OS. CONCLUSION: Our results revealed that plasma HGF rather than tumor HGF exhibited a potential role in predicting metastasis and survival in SCLC. Plasma HGF might be used as a non-invasive detecting and monitoring tool for SCLC.

Anchoring transition metal (TM) atoms on suitable substrates to form single-atom catalysts (SACs) is a novel approach to constructing electrocatalysts. Graphdiyne with sp-sp2 hybridized carbon atoms and uniformly distributed pores have been considered as a potential carbon material for supporting metal atoms in a variety of catalytic processes. Herein, density functional theory (DFT) calculations were performed to study the single TM atom anchoring on graphdiyne (TM1 -GDY, TM=Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Co and Cu) as the catalysts for CO2 reduction. After anchoring metal atoms on GDY, the catalytic activity of TM1 -GDY (TM=Mn, Co and Cu) for CO2 reduction reaction (CO2 RR) are significantly improved comparing with the pristine GDY. Among the studied TM1 -GDY, Cu1 -GDY shows excellent electrocatalytic activity for CO2 reduction for which the product is HCOOH and the limiting potential (UL ) is -0.16 V. Mn1 -GDY and Co1 -GDY exhibit superior catalytic selectivity for CO2 reduction to CH4 with UL of -0.62 and -0.34 V, respectively. The hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) by TM1 -GDY (TM=Mn, Co and Cu) occurs on carbon atoms, while the active sites of CO2 RR are the transition metal atoms . The present work is expected to provide a solid theoretical basis for CO2 conversion into valuable hydrocarbons.
