RESUMO

Mobile robots are increasingly employed in today's environment. Perceiving the environment to perform a task plays a major role in the robots. The service robots are wisely employed in the fully (or) partially known user's environment. The exploration and exploitation of the unknown environment is a tedious task. This paper introduces a novel Trimmed Q-learning algorithm to predict interesting scenes via efficient memorability-oriented robotic behavioral scene activity training. The training process involves three stages: online learning and short-term and long-term learning modules. It is helpful for autonomous exploration and making wiser decisions about the environment. A simplified three-stage learning framework is introduced to train and predict interesting scenes using memorability. A proficient visual memory schema (VMS) is designed to tune the learning parameters. A role-based profile arrangement is made to explore the unknown environment for a long-term learning process. The online and short-term learning frameworks are designed using a novel Trimmed Q-learning algorithm. The underestimated bias in robotic actions must be minimized by introducing a refined set of practical candidate actions. Finally, the recalling ability of each learning module is estimated to predict the interesting scenes. Experiments conducted on public datasets, SubT, and SUN databases demonstrate the proposed technique's efficacy. The proposed framework has yielded better memorability scores in short-term and online learning at 72.84% and in long-term learning at 68.63%.

RESUMO

We reported the second- and third-order temporal interference of two non-degenerate pseudo-thermal sources in a nitrogen-vacancy center (NV-). The relationship between the indistinguishability of source and path alternatives is analyzed at low temperature. In this article, we demonstrate the switching between three-mode bunching and frequency beating effect controlled by the time offset and the frequency difference to realize optical demultiplexer. Our experimental results suggest the advanced technique achieves channel spacing and speed of the demultiplexer of about 96% and 17 ns, respectively. The proposed demultiplexer model will have potential applications in quantum computing and communication.

RESUMO

The white-back planthopper (WBPH), Sogatella furcifera, mainly harms rice and occurs in most rice regions in China and Asia. With the use of chemical pesticides, S. furcifera has developed varying degrees of resistance to a variety of pesticides. In our study, a chlorpyrifos-resistant population (44.25-fold) was built through six generations of screening with a sublethal dose of chlorpyrifos (LD50) from a field population. The expression levels of ten selected resistance-related P450 genes were analyzed by RT-qPCR and found that CYP408A3 and CYP6CS3 were significantly more expressed in the third instar nymphs of the XY17-G5 and XY17-G6 populations, about 25-fold more than the Sus-Lab strain, respectively (p < 0.01). To elucidate their molecular function in the development of resistance towards chlorpyrifos, we cloned two P450 full lengths and predicted their tertiary protein structures. CYP408A3 and CYP6CS3 were also downregulated after injecting dsCYP408A3, dsCYP6CS3, or their mixture compared to the control group. Moreover, the mortality rates of the dsCYP6CS3 (91.7%) and the mixture injection treatment (93.3%) treated by the LC50 concentration of chlorpyrifos were significantly higher than the blank control group (51.7%) and dsCYP408A3 injection treatment (69.3%) at 72 h (p < 0.01). Meanwhile, the P450 enzyme activities in the dsRNA treatments were lower than that in the control (XY17-G6) (p < 0.01). Therefore, the P450 gene CYP6CS3 may be one of the main genes in the development of chlorpyrifos resistance in S. furcifera.

RESUMO

Biocompatibility, stability and high efficiency profiles are critical points for promoting the practical applications of gene delivery systems. The incorporation of cell-penetrating peptides (CPPs), REDV, and a nuclear localization signal (NLS) peptide sequence has been considered to be a promising strategy for developing efficient gene carriers to transfect vascular endothelial cells (ECs). However, these integrated multifunctional peptide carriers are usually limited by their inefficient targeting function and weak endosomal escape ability. Aiming to develop more efficient gene carriers, the integrated multifunctional REDV-G-TAT-G-NLS-C sequence was conjugated to polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) by heterobifunctional poly(ethylene glycol) in the current study. This star-shaped polymer carrier complexed with the pZNF580 plasmid to form gene complexes, and then the histidine-rich peptide of REDV-TAT-NLS-H12 (TP-H12) was incorporated into their surface to obtain ternary gene delivery systems with enhanced endosomal escape ability. These ternary gene delivery systems exhibited low cytotoxicity towards ECs and possessed high REDV-mediated cellular uptake, excellent internalization efficiency, rapid endosomal escape and high nucleus translocation capacity. The endosomal escape of the ternary complexes was improved due to the pH buffering capacity of the histidine residue in TP-H12 and the optimized macropinocytosis internalization pathway. Moreover, these CPP-based ternary gene delivery systems have high gene delivery efficiency and could improve the migration of ECs as demonstrated by gene expression and transwell assay. These systems may serve as a promising candidate for gene delivery and transfection in ECs, which is advantageous for EC migration and endothelialization on the biomaterial surface.
