[The possibilities for correcting lipid peroxidation in suppurative wounds in diabetic patients]. / Vozmozhnosti korrektsii perekisnogo okisleniia lipidov pri gnoinykh ranakh u bol'nykh sakharnym diabetom.

The authors have investigated the state of lipid peroxidation in 118 patients having purulent wounds of soft tissues against the background of diabetes mellitus. It was shown that the parenteral administration of vitamin E and the intracorporeal UVI of blood accelerated the process of stabilization of the parameters of lipid peroxidation and shortened the time of treatment. A combination of these two medical factors included in the complex of curative measures proved to be most effective.

[Treatment of suppurative wounds in patients with diabetes mellitus by magnetic field and laser irradiation]. / Lechenie gnoinykh ran u bol'nykh sakharnym diabetom magnitnym polem i lazernym izlucheniem.

The efficacy of including a magnetic field, low-intensity laser beam, and their combination in the complex of therapeutic measures was studied in 119 patients with suppurative wounds and diabetes mellitus. With the use of magnetic field or laser beam intoxication diminished, the organism's immunological status was stabilized within a shorter time, the wound process followed a quicker course, and treatment took less time. The magnetic-laser effect has advantages over separate use of these factors.

A result of treatment of 112 patients with diabetes mellitus and purulent surgical diseases has been analysed. In the complex of treatment, a low-frequency ultrasound and laser radiation were employed. An advantage of the use of ultrasound at the first, and laser--at the second phase of a wound process was noted. Phasic use of ultrasound and laser accelerates the course of a wound process, contributes to shortening the duration of treatment.

[A magnetic field in the combined treatment of suppurative wounds in diabetes mellitus]. / Magnitnoe pole v kompleksnom lechenii gnoinykh ran pri sakharnom diabete.

Treatment of purulent wounds was carried out in 72 patients against the background of diabetes mellitus. In 42 of them the complex treatment included using magnetic fields. The application of magnetic fields promoted earlier and more pronounced reduction of the intoxication level, stabilization of the antioxidant system of organism and parameters of immune reactivity. The magnetic fields included in the treatment resulted in accelerated necrolysis, appearance of granulations and epithelialization. The duration of treatment became 6.2 days shorter.

[Therapeutic action of laser irradiation and immunomodulators in purulent injuries of the soft tissues in diabetic patients]. / O lechebnom deistvii lazernogo oblucheniia i immunomoduliatorov pri gnoinykh porazheniiakh miagkikh tkanei u bol'nykh sakharnym diabetom.

A study was made of the immune status and results of therapy of 152 diabetic patients with purulent injuries of soft tissues. Low-intensity laser irradiation of wounds and adjuvant active and passive immune therapy were shown to result in rapid stabilization of the immune status, reducing the duration of treatment.

[Physical factors in the comprehensive therapy of purulent wounds in diabetes mellitus]. / Fizicheskie faktory v kompleksnom lechenii gnoinykh ran pri sakharnom diabete.

Various physical therapeutic methods were used in 256 patients with purulent wounds against a background of diabetes mellitus. Comparative evaluation of various therapeutic methods has shown that the use of physical factors lowers intoxication, stabilizes the blood level of glucose, improves indices of immunological reactivity, promotes a more dynamic course of a wound process, and reduces the time of treatment. Ultrasound cavitation and application of adsorbents to wounds proved to be the most effective physical methods for therapy of purulent wounds in patients with diabetes mellitus.

[The optimization of the therapeutic action of ultrasonic cavitation in treating suppurative wounds in diabetic patients]. / Optimizatsiia lechebnogo deistviia ul'trazvukovoi kavitatsii pri lechenii gnoinykh ran u bol'nykh sakharnym diabetom.

Treatment of 168 patients with purulent wounds was performed against the background of diabetes mellitus with registration of the parameters of intoxication, antioxidant and immune system of the organism. Shorter time of treatment and stabilization of laboratory indices were noted when the complex treatment included the ultrasonic cavitation, antioxidant drugs and immunotherapy.

[The effect of the physical factors of treatment on lipid peroxidation in surgical infections in patients with diabetes mellitus]. / Vliianie fizicheskikh faktorov lecheniia na perekisnoe okislenie lipidov pri khirurgicheskoi infektsii u bol'nykh sakharnym diabetom.s

Lipid peroxidation was studied in 179 patients with purulent surgical diseases and diabetes mellitus. Magnetotherapy, laser radiation, low-frequency ultrasound, ultraviolet irradiation of blood, and sorbent application were used as therapeutic factors. It was found that laser and ultraviolet irradiation of blood, and application of sorbents to the purulent wounds promoted stabilization of lipid peroxidation, had a more marked effect on the course of the wound process, and reduced the term of treatment.
