RESUMO

Chronic skin wound caused by diabetic disease is very common worldwide. Moreover, there is a shortage of effective curing technology in clinic. In this work, we developed a novel technology using thermosensitive hydrogel on wound top combined with insulin injection. The efficiency and mechanism of this technology were investigated in a diabetic mouse model. Dorsal-paired 8-10 mm diameter wounds were created in 12 mice. The wound healing rate was determined over a 28-day interval in healthy control (Control), control with diabetes (DControl), poloxamer treatment (Pox), and poloxamer plus insulin injection (Poxin) mice. Histological specimens were observed in all samples. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was performed to measure the relative expression of α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) and transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-ß1) in wound tissues at 7, 14, and 28 days. Compared with DControl animals, those treated with Poxin showed accelerated wound closure and healing rate (p < 0.05); expression of both α-SMA and TGF-ß1 was significantly higher than that of the DControl and Pox animals during the first 7 days postoperation, but a significant decrease at day 14. Therefore, we concluded that hydrogel combined with insulin accelerated wound healing. Controlling the glucose level via insulin injection is more beneficial than hydrogel alone for healing chronic wounds, potentially through the increase of α-SMA and TGF-ß1 expression in early phase.

RESUMO

Herein, a new protocol dealing with the preparation of 1,2-allenyl ketones has been successfully developed via the reactions of enynes with radicals enabled by dual photoredox/copper catalysis. Based on the results of a deuteration experiment and the competition reaction between cyclopropanation and allenation, the mechanism based on a photoredox-neutral-catalysed radical-polar crossover process has been proposed. Synthetic applications of allenes have also been demonstrated.

RESUMO

Numerous studies have shown that the invasion of the chemicals plays an important role on the geomechanical properties of the soil. This article aims to investigate the shear behavior of contaminated soil by laboratory tests and develop an extended shear strength model on the basis of the experimental results. In order to explicitly evaluate the effect of solution concentration on the shear strength behavior of soil, the remolded samples of kaolinite mixed with different concentrations of CuCl2 solutions were prepared to carry out a series of consolidated-undrained triaxial shear strength tests. The results indicate that different CuCl2 solution concentrations have significant influence on the shear strength property of kaolinite. With the increase of CuCl2 solution concentration, the shear strength of soil displays a declining tendency, and the strength properties including cohesion and internal friction angle are also reduced, which indicates the Cu (II) that existed in the soil samples has deteriorated the soil strength strongly. Based on the experimental results, an extended Mohr-Coulomb strength model for contaminated soils has been proposed by introducing osmotic suction as a macro variable parameter. The conclusions in this study can provide reference for pollution prevention of existing and future foundations.

RESUMO

Boron and nitrogen codoped hollow graphene microspheres (NBGHSs), synthesized from a simple template sacrificing method, have been employed as an electrocatalyst for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). Because of their specific hollow structure that consists of boron and nitrogen codoped graphene, the NBGHSs can exhibit even high electrocatalytic activity toward ORR than the commercial JM Pt/C 40 wt %. This, along with their higher stability, makes the NBGHSs particularly attractive as the electrocatalyst for the ORR with great potential to replace the commonly used noble-metal-based catalysts.

RESUMO

It has been demonstrated for the first time that α-phosphonovinyl tosylates could efficiently couple with a range of arylboronic acids to access α-arylethenylphosphonates. The unprecedented procedure exhibits excellent functional group tolerance, giving the terminal vinylphosphonates in good to excellent isolated yields (60-99%) under mild reaction conditions.

RESUMO

A novel ionic liquid-modified organic-polymer monolithic capillary column was prepared and used for in-tube solid-phase microextraction (SPME) of acidic food additives. The primary amino group of 1-aminopropyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride was reacted with the epoxide group of glycidyl methacrylate. The as-prepared new monomer was then copolymerized in situ with acrylamide and N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide in the presence of polyethylene glycol (PEG)-8000 and PEG-10,000 as porogens. The extraction performance of the developed monolithic sorbent was evaluated for benzoic acid, 3-hydroxybenzoic acid, cinnamic acid, 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, and 3-(trifluoromethyl)-cinnamic acid. Such a sorbent, bearing hydrophobic and anion-exchange groups, had high extraction efficiency towards the test compounds. The adsorption capacities for the analytes dissolved in water ranged from 0.18 to 1.74 µg cm(-1). Good linear calibration curves (R(2) > 0.99) were obtained, and the limits of detection (S/N = 3) for the analytes were found to be in the range 1.2-13.5 ng mL(-1). The recoveries of five acidic food additives spiked in Coca-Cola beverage samples ranged from 85.4 % to 98.3 %, with RSD less than 6.9 %. The excellent applicability of the ionic liquid (IL)-modified monolithic column was further tested by the determination of benzoic acid content in Sprite samples, further illustrating its good potential for analyzing food additives in complex samples.

RESUMO

An SPE cartridge based on an ampholine-functionalized hybrid organic-inorganic silica sorbent has been adopted for the analysis of aromatic amines including 4-aminobiphenyl, benzidine, 2-naphthylamine, p-chloroaniline, 2,4,5-trimethylaniline, and 3,3'-dichlorobenzidine. Crucial variables governing the extraction efficiency of the material such as the pH of sample, sample loading volume, solvent used for elution, and elution volume have been thoroughly optimized. The adsorption capacities for the six aromatic amines ranged from 0.17 to 1.82 µg/mg. The recoveries of aromatic amines spiked in textile samples ranged from 78.9 to 103.0%, with RSDs of 1.1-11.9% (n = 3). Moreover, the extraction efficiency of the ampholine-functionalized hybrid organic-inorganic silica sorbent was at least comparable with that of Oasis WCX.

RESUMO

A novel sorbent for solid-phase extraction (SPE) was synthesized by chemical immobilization of ampholine on hybrid organic-inorganic silica material. The ampholine-functionalized hybrid organic-inorganic silica sorbent is consisted of aliphatic amine groups, carboxyl groups and long carbon chains, allowing for extraction of both acidic and basic compounds. The retention properties of the developed sorbent were evaluated for 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid (HNA), 1-naphthoic acid (NA), 3-hydroxybenzoic acid (HBA), benzoic acid (BA), sorbic acid (SA), vanillic aldehyde (VA), butyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (BHB), propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (PHB), ethyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (EHB), and methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (MHB). The results show that such a sorbent has three types of interaction, i.e., electrostatic interaction, hydrophobic interaction, and hydrogen bonding, exhibiting high extraction efficiency towards the compounds tested. The adsorption capacities of the analytes ranged from 0.61 to 6.54µgmg(-1). The reproducibility of the sorbent preparation was evaluated at three spiking concentration levels, with relative standard deviations (RSDs) of 1.0-10.5%. The recoveries of ten acidic and basic compounds spiked in beverage Coca-Cola(®) sample ranged from 82.5% to 98.2% with RSDs less than 5.8%. Under optimum conditions, the ampholine-functionalized hybrid organic-inorganic silica sorbent rendered higher extraction efficiency for acidic compounds than that of the commercially available ampholine-functionalized silica particles, and was comparable to that of the commercial Oasis WAX and Oasis WCX.

RESUMO

A family of rare earth metal bis(amide) complexes bearing monoanionic amidinate [RC(N-2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3))(2)](-) (R = cyclohexyl (Cy), phenyl (Ph)) as ancillary ligands were synthesized and characterized. One-pot salt metathesis reaction of anhydrous LnCl(3) with one equivalent of amidinate lithium [RC(N-2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3))(2)]Li, following the introduction of two equivalents of NaN(SiMe(3))(2) in THF at room temperature afforded the neutral and unsolvated mono(amidinate) rare earth metal bis(amide) complexes [RC(N-2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3))(2)]Y[N(SiMe(3))(2)](2) (R = Cy (1); R = Ph (2)), and the "ate" mono(amidinate) rare earth metal bis(amide) complex [CyC(N-2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3))(2)]Lu[N(SiMe(3))(2)](2)(µ-Cl)Li(THF)(3) (3) in 61-72% isolated yields. These complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, NMR spectroscopy, FT-IR spectroscopy, and X-ray single crystal diffraction. Single crystal structural determination revealed that the central metal in complexes 1 and 2 adopts a distorted tetrahedral geometry, and in complex 3 forms a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry. In the presence of AlMe(3), and in combination with one equimolar amount of [Ph(3)C][B(C(6)F(5))(4)], complexes 1 and 2 showed high activity towards isoprene polymerization to give high molecular weight polyisoprene (M(n) > 10(4)) with good cis-1,4 selectivity (>90%).
