RESUMO

A novel bromothiophene-functionalized BF2-curcuminoid (BTC-BF2) is synthesized by Knoevenagel condensation reaction. The structure of BTC-BF2 is determined by 1H-nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR), 13C-nuclear magnetic resonance (13C NMR), and high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS). Moreover, a nearly coplanar single crystal structure is successfully obtained and form a mesh structure through intermolecular multiple C─H···F hydrogen bond interactions. As expected, as-prepared BTC-BF2 exhibits solvent-dependent photophysical properties in solvents with different polarity and an intense red solid-state fluorescence. Density functional theory calculations further verify the relationships between its intrinsic electronic features and the photophysical properties. For its potential application aspect, BTC-BF2 shows a certain ability to generate singlet oxygen under irradiation with 530 nm green light. Moreover, BTC-BF2 can be utilized as versatile building block to construct novel far-red or NIR BF2-curcuminoid complexes for widely biological applications.

RESUMO

Lithium metal batteries with high nickel ternary (LiNixCoyMn1-x-yO2, x ≥ 0.8) as the cathode hold the promise to meet the demand of next-generation high energy density batteries. However, the unsatisfactory stability of electrode-electrolyte interfaces limits their practical applications. In this work, N-methyl-N-trimethylsilyltrifluoroacetamide (NMTFA) is suggested as a new functional electrolyte additive to stabilize the Li∥LiNi0.9Co0.05Mn0.05O2 chemistry by forming robust and effective electrode-electrolyte interphases, namely the anode-electrolyte interphase (AEI, or conventionally called SEI) and cathode-electrolyte interphase (CEI). The NMTFA-derived SEI/CEI greatly enhances the battery performance that a capacity retention of 82.1% after 200 cycles at 1C charge/discharge is achieved, significantly higher than that without NMTFA addition (52.5%). Moreover, the NMTFA also improves the thermal stability of the electrolyte and inhibits the hydrolysis of LiPF6. This work provides new clues for the optimization of electrolyte formulation for lithium-high nickel batteries through modulating interfaces.

RESUMO

Exploring novel dithienylethenes (DTEs) with efficient photochromism has drawn increasing attention in virtue of the potential applications for photoelectric functional materials. In this contribution, we presented two novel acceptor-acceptor (A-A) type DTE derivatives (4a and 4b) by incorporating the diestervinyl moieties with strong electron-withdrawing capacity into two sides of DTE skeleton. The corresponding structures were well confirmed by the NMR (1H and 13C) and HRMS. When irradiated alternately with ultraviolet and visible light, 4a and 4b showed efficient photochromism in toluene, chloroform and DMSO, clearly implying a solvent-dependence feature. Moreover, excellent photoswitching behaviors were also observed in the poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) film. The density functional theory (DFT) calculations suggested that strong Acceptor-Acceptor effect plays a dominative role in the efficient photochromic performance. Hence, this study will provide a useful guidance for developing high-performance DTE derivatives in multi-media.

RESUMO

In order to clone and identify differentially expressed genes in the sporogony stage of Eimeria tenella, the cDNAs from unsporulated oocysts and sporulated oocysts of E. tenella were used as driver, respectively, the cDNAs from sporozoites of E. tenella was used tester, Two subtractive cDNA libraries of sporozoites were constructed by using the technique of suppression subtractive hybridization (SSH). the cDNAs from unsporulated oocysts was used driver, the cDNAs from sporulated ooceysts was used tester, one subtractive cDNA library of sporulated oocysts was constructed. PCR amplification revealed that the two subtractive cDNA libraries of sporozoites and one subtractive cDNA library of sporulated oocysts contained approximated 96%, 96% and 98% recombinant clones, respectively. Fifty positive clones were sequenced and analyzed in GenBank with Blast search from three subtractive cDNA libraries, respectively, thirteen unique sequences were found from the subtractive cDNA library of sporulated oocysts, eight ESTs shared significant identity with previously described. A total of forty unique sequences were obtained from the two subtractive cDNA libraries, nine ESTs shared significant identity with previously described, the other sequences represent novel genes of E. tenella with no significant homology to the proteins in Genbank. These results have provided the foundation for cloning new genes of E. tenella and further studying new approaches to control coccidiosis.
