RESUMO

Proteins are essential for human tissues and organs, and they require adequate intake for normal physiological functions. With a growing global population, protein demand rises annually. Traditional animal and plant protein sources rely heavily on land and water, making it difficult to meet the increasing demand. The high protein content of yeast and the complete range of amino acids in yeast proteins make it a high-quality source of supplemental protein. Screening of high-protein yeast strains using proteomics is essential to increase the value of yeast protein resources and to promote the yeast protein industry. However, current yeast extraction methods are mainly alkaline solubilization and acid precipitation; therefore, it is necessary to develop more efficient and environmentally friendly techniques. In addition, the functional properties of yeast proteins limit their application in the food industry. To improve these properties, methods must be selected to modify the secondary and tertiary structures of yeast proteins. This paper explores how proteomic analysis can be used to identify nutrient-rich yeast strains, compares the process of preparing yeast proteins, and investigates how modification methods affect the function and structure of yeast proteins. It provides a theoretical basis for solving the problem of inadequate protein intake in China and explores future prospects.

RESUMO

Quantum secret sharing (QSS) is an important branch of quantum cryptography. Identity authentication is a significant means to achieve information protection, which can effectively confirm the identity information of both communication parties. Due to the importance of information security, more and more communications require identity authentication. We propose a d-level (t,n) threshold QSS scheme in which both sides of the communication use mutually unbiased bases for mutual identity authentication. In the secret recovery phase, the sharing of secrets that only the participant holds will not be disclosed or transmitted. Therefore, external eavesdroppers will not get any information about secrets at this phase. This protocol is more secure, effective, and practical. Security analysis shows that this scheme can effectively resist intercept-resend attacks, entangle-measure attacks, collusion attacks, and forgery attacks.

RESUMO

Although endovascular treatment is a promising approach, blood blister-like aneurysms (BBAs) still present treatment challenges. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness and safety of flow diverter device-assisted coiling (FDDAC) for the treatment of BBAs, which are broad based and friable with a high rebleeding risk. Eight patients (five females and three males) who presented with subarachnoid hemorrhages (SAH) due to BBA ruptures between May 2020 and May 2022 were retrospectively enrolled. All patients were treated by flow diverter device (Tubridge) adjunctive coil embolization using a semi-deploying technique. The demographic information, angiographic data, interval between admission and treatment, materials, therapy, clinical outcomes (including periprocedural and intraprocedural mortality and morbidity), and follow-up results of all patients were reviewed. The mean age of the patients with BBAs was 48.5 years (range 31-62 years); aneurysm sizes ranged from 2.2 × 1.7 mm to 4.6 × 3.2 mm, and the median Hunt-Hess score was 3. All aneurysms were completely closed at follow-up, and all 8 patients had excellent clinical outcomes (modified Rankin scores = 0-2) at discharge. Angiograms showed complete aneurysm occlusion after 6 months to 1 year. In addition, there were no cases of re-rupture, re-treatment, or recurrence of the aneurysms. FDDAC is safe to use in patients with BBAs and provides an alternative treatment option for this disease.

RESUMO

In this paper, we present a verifiable arbitrated quantum signature scheme based on controlled quantum teleportation. The five-qubit entangled state functions as a quantum channel. The proposed scheme uses mutually unbiased bases particles as decoy particles and performs unitary operations on these decoy particles, applying the functional values of symmetric bivariate polynomial. As such, eavesdropping detection and identity authentication can both be executed. The security analysis shows that our scheme can neither be disavowed by the signatory nor denied by the verifier, and it cannot be forged by any malicious attacker.
