RESUMO

An important micronutrient involved in immune response and antitumor is selenium. LMW-GFP, a polysaccharide extracted from Grifola frondosa seed bodies, has a relatively weak antitumor effect on BGC-823 and MFC cells in vitro, whereas selenium binding to LMW-GFP can significantly increase the in vitro antitumor activity of LMW-GFP. In this study, Se-LMW-GFP was prepared by the HNO3-Na2SeO3 method, and the structures of LMW-GFP and Se-LMW-GFP were characterized by UV-visible spectroscopy of absorption, FTIR spectroscopy, and electron scanning microscopy, and these structural analyses showed that selenium was successfully complexed to LMW-GFP. The selenium content of Se-LMW-GFP was measured to be 2.08 % ± 0.08 % by ICP-MS. The anti-tumor activity of LMW-GFP before and after selenium modification was compared by cellular experiments, and the findings indicated that the anti-tumor activity of Se-LMW-GFP was considerably improved over that of LMW-GFP, and inhibited the proliferation of BGC-823 cells and MFC cells through a combination of the Fas/FasL-mediated exogenous death receptor pathway as well as the endogenous mitochondrial pathway. Our results suggest that Se-LMW-GFP not only has great potential for natural health food and anti-gastric cancer drug development but is also a good selenium supplement.

RESUMO

Heterostructured photocatalysts are promising candidates in the photocatalysis field, and the heterojunction plays a vital role in the separation of spatial charge carriers. Here, a heterojunction was fabricated by the in situ growth of ultrathin Bi12O17Cl2 (BOC) nanosheets (NSs) onto porous g-C3N4 (PGCN) NSs. The NSs' nanostructure can effectively shorten the diffusion path of charge carriers and thus promote interfacial charge migration, which can improve the surface photocatalytic activity. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy spectra and the experimental measured Fermi level (EF) indicate that electrons transfer from PGCN to BOC, which leads to the formation of the built-in electric field with the orientation from PGCN to BOC. Driven by the built-in electric field, the charge carriers transfer through a step-like pathway. This step-scheme porous g-C3N4/Bi12O17Cl2 (PGCN/BOC) heterostructured nanocomposite displays an enhanced photocatalytic performance compared with pure BOC and PGCN. This work provides new insight into the novel construction of a step-scheme heterojunction toward photocatalytic CO2 reduction.

RESUMO

Internal jugular phlebectasia is a rare condition. Children with internal jugular phlebectasia are often discovered by their parents when they notice a soft mass in the neck that appears when the child cries, coughs, or breathes deeply. Most internal jugular vein dilatations occur unilaterally on the right side according to the literature reports. To our knowledge, no other internal jugular phlebectasia patients reported pulsatile tinnitus as the major complaint without a soft mass in the neck. The authors reported a female adult patient with left-side internal jugular phlebectasia with pulsatile tinnitus as the major complaint without a soft mass in the neck. Internal jugular phlebectasia was diagnosed by color ultrasound of the internal jugular vein. Pure-tone audiometry, tympanometry, hemoglobin, thyroid function, and magnetic resonance imaging were made to differentiate other diseases that can cause the pulsatile tinnitus. Conservative treatment is recommended in this report. The possibility of internal jugular vein dilatation should be considered when differentiate the possible diseases that caused pulsatile tinnitus.

RESUMO

The existing adaptive single-pixel imaging methods suffer from a waste of sampling resources. The sampling resources are not used adequately for superior localization of significant coefficients and reconstruction. In this paper, an adaptive single-pixel imaging method via the guided coefficients in the Haar wavelet tree is proposed. The goal is to achieve high quality imaging with less sampling resources. The guided coefficients are selected from the unsampled coefficients by a proposed same-scale prediction method based on the sampled coefficients. These guided coefficients are used to localize the significant coefficients with higher resolution belonging to the sampled coefficients and the significant coefficients belonging to the guided coefficients by a proposed guided prediction method. The significant guided coefficients are then used in the composite reconstruction method to reconstruct the image. Performance analysis shows that the proposed method reduces waste of the sampling resources and localizes more significant coefficients. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method improves the imaging quality in terms of peak signal-to-noise ratio up to 29.7 dB for the images containing regular and chaotic textures in the noise-free environment. The sampling rate for the same imaging quality can be reduced up to 56%. Under the noisy condition, the proposed method also achieves better imaging quality at a lower sampling rate.

RESUMO

Temperature drift will be brought to Micro-Spectrometer used for demodulating the Varied Line-Space(VLS) grating position sensor on aircraft due to high-low temperature shock. We successfully made a Micro-Spectrometer, for the VLS grating position sensor on aircraft, which still have stable output under temperature shock enviro nment. In order to present a real time temperature compensation scheme, the effects temperature change has on Micro-Spectrometer are analyzed and the traditional cross Czerny-Turner (C-T)optical structure is optimized. Both optical structures are analyzed by optics design software ZEMAX and proved that comparedwithtraditional cross C-T optical structure, the newone can accomplish not only smaller spectrum drift but also spectrum drift with better linearity. Based on the new optical structure. The scheme of using reference wavelength to accomplish real time temperature compensation was proposed and a Micro-fiber Spectrometer was successfully manufactured, whith is with Volume of 80 mm X 70 mmX 70 mm, integration time of 8 ~1 000 ms and FullWidthHalfMaximum(FWHM) of 2 nm. Experiments show that the new spectrometer meets the design requirement. Under high temperature in the range of nearly 60 °C, the standard error of wavelength of this new spectrometer is smaller than 0. 1 nm, and the maximum error of wavelength is 0. 14 nm, which is much smaller than required 0. 3 nm. Innovations of this paper are the schemeof real time temperature compensation, the new cross C-T optical structure and a Micro-fiber Spectrometer based on it.
