RESUMO

Mariculture stands as a pivotal enterprise aimed at enhancing the quality of human existence. However, the utilization of antibiotics and pesticides in the mariculture process poses threats to both the environment and human well-being. Therefore, it is of great significance to investigate the occurrence, distribution and risk of antibiotics and pesticides in mariculture areas. In this study, 11 kinds of antibiotics and 12 kinds of pesticides were screened in four mariculture areas around Liaodong Peninsula in China. The pollution characteristics of pollutants were investigated in three different mariculture stages. The pollution in the reproduction stage was the most serious, indicating that mariculture may have a potential impact on the surrounding seawater. Health risk assessment results indicate that the pollutants have a significant risk to human health, therefore it is necessary to strengthen the control of chemicals used in mariculture in future.

RESUMO

The Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System 29-item Profile version 2.1 (PROMIS-29 V2.1) is a widely utilized self-reported instrument for assessing health outcomes from the patients' perspectives. This study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the PROMIS-29 V2.1 Chinese version among patients with hematological malignancy. Conducted as a cross-sectional, this research was approved by the Medical Ethical Committee of the Institute of Hematology and Blood Diseases Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College (registration number QTJC2022002-EC-1). We employed convenience sampling to enroll eligible patients with hematological malignancy from four tertiary hospitals in Tianjin, Shandong, Jiangsu, and Anhui province in China between June and August 2023. Participants were asked to complete a socio-demographic information questionnaire, the PROMIS-29 V2.1, and the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-General (FACT-G). We assessed the reliability, ceiling and floor effects, structural, convergent discriminant and criterion validity of the PROMIS-29 V2.1. A total of 354 patients with a mean age of 46.93 years was included in the final analysis. The reliability of the PROMIS-29 V2.1 was affirmed, with Cronbach's α for the domains ranging from 0.787 to 0.968. Except sleep disturbance, the other six domains had ceiling effects, which were seen on physical function (26.0%), anxiety (37.0%), depression (40.4%), fatigue (18.4%), social roles (18.9%) and pain interference (43.2%), respectively. Criterion validity was supported by significant correlations between the PROMIS-29 V2.1 and FACT-G scores, as determined by the Spearman correlation test (P < 0.001). Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) indicated a good model fit, with indices of χ2/df (2.602), IFI (0.960), and RMSEA (0.067). The Average Variance Extracted (AVE) values for the seven dimensions of PROMIS-29 V2.1, ranging from 0.500 to 0.910, demonstrated satisfactory convergent validity. Discriminant validity was confirmed by ideal √AVE values. The Chinese version of the PROMIS-29 V2.1 profile has been validated as an effective instrument for assessing symptoms and functions in patients with hematological malignancy, underscoring its reliability and applicability in this specific patient group.

RESUMO

Depression is a mood disorder mainly clinically characterized by significant and persistent low spirits. Chronic stress is the leading cause of depression. However, traditional medicine has severe side effects in treating depression, ineffective treatment, and easy recurrence. Therefore, it is of great significance to prevent depression in the environment of chronic stress. In this study, aromatherapy was used for the prevention of depression. To solve the defects of intense volatility and inconvenience in using essential oils, we designed bionic nano-aromatic drugs and adhered them to the wallpaper. Inspired by the moldy wallpaper, we successively prepared the morphology-bionic nano-aromatic drugs, the function-bionic nano-aromatic drugs, and the bionic plus nano-aromatic drugs by referring to the morphology of microorganisms and substances in bacterial biofilms. Bionic nano-aromatic drugs remarkably promoted their adhesion on wallpaper. Molecular dynamics simulation explored its molecular mechanism. The essential oils, which were slowly released from the bionic nano-aromatic drugs, showed excellent biosecurity and depression prevention. These sustainedly released essential oils could significantly increase monoamine neurotransmitters in the brain under a chronic stress environment and had excellent neuroprotection. Besides, the bionic nano-aromatic drugs with simple preparation process and low cost had excellent application potential.

RESUMO

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) can pass through the placental barrier and pose health risks to fetuses. However, exposure and transplacental transfer patterns of emerging PFAS remain unclear. Here, 24 PFAS were measured in paired maternal whole blood (n = 228), umbilical cord whole blood (n = 119) and serum (n = 120). Orthogonal partial least-squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) was used to differentiate PFAS between different matrices. The transplacental transfer (TPT) of PFAS was calculated using cord to maternal whole blood concentration ratios. PFOS and PFOA were still the dominant PFAS in maternal samples. The emerging PFAS had higher TPT than PFOS and PFOA. Moreover, PFAS with the same chain length but different functional groups and C-F bonds showed different TPT, such as PFOS and PFOSA (C8, median: 0.090 vs. 0.305, p < 0.05) and PFHxS and 4:2 FTS (C6, median: 0.220 vs. 1.190, p < 0.05). A significant sex difference in 4:2 FTS (median: boys 1.250, girls 1.010, p < 0.05) were found. Furthermore, we observed a significant U-shaped trend for the TPT of carboxylates with increasing carbon chain length. PFAS showed a compound-specific transfer through placental barrier and a compound-specific distribution between different matrices in this study.

RESUMO

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has emerged as a non-invasive treatment modality for superficial skin cancers. It has the advantage of greater tolerance and providing better cosmetic outcomes than conventional treatment methods. Because of the rarity of extensive Bowen's disease located in the genital area, evidence of efficacy for therapies is mainly based on case reports and clinical experience. This report presents a case of a 32-year-old female with Bowen's disease of the vulva and perianal area with systemic lupus erythematosus successfully treated by 5-aminolaevulinic acid PDT. There was no evidence of recurrence after five-years of follow-up.

RESUMO

Thrixspermumtaeniophyllum is described as a new orchid species from Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province of southwest China. It is morphologically similar to T.japonicum, but it differs from the latter in having branched stems, slightly fleshy strap-shaped leaves, longer inflorescences with 3-6 flowers and a capitate gynandrium with a lip-shaped mouth opening. Its species status is also supported by molecular phylogenetic analyses, based on nuclear ribosome internal transcribed spacer (nrITS) and three chloroplast DNA fragments (matK, psbA-trnH and trnL-F), which showed distinct systematic boundaries from the most morphologically similar T.japonicum and their morphological relatives T.saruwatarii and T.pygmaeum.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Aberrant expression of Secretory Leukocyte Protease Inhibitor (SLPI) has been associated with human cancer growth and its suppression was identified as a potential target for anti-cancer drugs, particularly in colorectal cancer. However, the underlying mechanism by which SLPI affected the development of drug resistance in CRC remains unclear. OBJECTIVE: This study investigated the role of SLPI in the p53-up-regulated modulator of apoptosis (PUMA)-mediated CRC cells' apoptosis and their chemosensitivity to Cisplatin. METHODS: A series of qRT-PCR and western blot analyses were performed to characterize the expressions of SLPI, PUMA, and Akt in CRC lines. Tunel, transwell, and CCK-8 analyses were monitored to define the impacts of the siRNA-mediated knockdown of SLPI on CRC cell development. Furthermore, in vivo development of CRC was evaluated in nude mice infected with siSLPI or Cisplatin alone or both, and Ki67 and caspase-3 immunohistochemistry assay was monitored on multiple tissue microarray from the same cohort. RESULTS: Our results showed that SLPI inhibition strongly promoted the expressions of the pro-apoptotic protein PUMA, cleaved-caspase3 and Bax and reduced the cell viability of HT29 and HT116 cell lines in vitro. In addition, siSLPI knockdown effectively suppressed both Akt and FoxO3 proteins and improved the sensitivity to cisplatin chemotherapy. Xenograft tumor assay revealed a lowered growth in mice treated with Cisplatin, while combined treatment of siSLPI achieved more significant anticancer effects than Cisplatin alone. CONCLUSIONS: Taken together, these findings demonstrated that suppression of SLPI might repress the growth of human colorectal cancer cells both in vitro and in vivo. These results suggested SLPI as a novel resistance factor to Cisplatin, and a combination of Cisplatin and SLPI inhibitor be beneficial for colorectal cancer therapy.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: It has been well-documented that haplo-identical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HID-HSCT) can provide outcomes comparable to conventional matched sibling donor (MSD) HSCT, however, little is known about the effects on quality of life (QoL) in long-term survivors. This study is to investigate the differences in longitudinal performance of QoL between HID and MSD HSCT using a comprehensive assessment system. METHODS: This prospective study enrolled consecutive patients who had received allogenic-HSCT (allo-HSCT) between January 2018 and December 2019 in our center. All patients were informed to complete QoL questionnaires including the Mos 36-Item Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36) and the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy Bone Marrow Transplant (FACT-BMT, version 4), using an online applet, before transplantation and at scheduled time points after transplantation. The linear mixed-effects model was used to analyze the variation trend of different dimensions of both SF-36 and FACT-BMT with different follow-up times. RESULTS: Of the 425 participants, recipients of HID and MSD who survived more than 1 year (n = 230) were included in the final analysis of QoL (median age [range]: 36, [15, 66]). The 3 year overall survival (OS) of HID and MSD was 82.42% and 86.46%, respectively. QoL was assessed using both SF-36 and FACT-BMT and there was longitudinal recovery with clinical significance in the cohort. Compared to MSD-HSCT patients, HID-HSCT recipients demonstrated superior QoL performance in some subscales describing physical and mental wellness. Specifically, the difference in physical performance is more remarkable using FACT-BMT whereas that in mental wellness is more significant using SF36. In the subsequent stratified analysis, patients with a history of aGVHD or CMV reactivation demonstrated inferior QoL. CONCLUSIONS: Long-term survivors of HID HSCT achieved better QoL in some sub-scales compared to MSD HSCT. In addition, SF-36 and FACT-BMT demonstrated different performance thus combination of both improved capacity of the evaluation system.

RESUMO

Metallic group VIB transition metal dichalcogenides (1T-TMDs) have attracted great interest because of their outstanding performance in electrocatalysis, supercapacitors, batteries, and so on, whereas the strict fabrication conditions and thermodynamical metastability of 1T-TMDs greatly restrict their extensive applications. Therefore, it is significant to obtain stable and high-concentration 1T-TMDs in a simple and large-scale strategy. Herein, we report a facile and large-scale synthesis of high-concentration 1T-TMDs via an ionic liquid (IL) assisted hydrothermal strategy, including 1T-MoS2 (the obtained MoS2 sample was denoted as MoS2-IL), 1T-WS2, 1T-MoSe2, and 1T-WSe2. More importantly, we found that IL can adsorb on the surface of 1T-MoS2, where the steric hindrance, π-π stacking, and hydrogen bonds of ionic liquid collectively induce the formation of the 1T-MoS2. In addition, DFT calculation reveals that electrons are transferred from [BMIM]SCN (1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium thiocyanate) to 1T-MoS2 layers by hydrogen bonds, which enhances the stability of 1T-MoS2, so the MoS2-IL performs with high stability for 180 days at room temperature without obvious change. Furthermore, the MoS2-IL exhibits excellent HER performance with an overpotential of 196 mV at 10 mA cm-2 in acid conditions.

RESUMO

The concept of a public energy field is central to public administration discourse theory. Its main idea is the facilitation of dialog between government and the public, on the basis of equality, to construct a public policy consensus. In contemporary society, social media provides new and distinctive channels for such interactions. Social media can, therefore, be conceived as a novel type of public energy field. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, interactions between the Chinese government and the Chinese public (whether located in China or abroad) have been acutely reflected through WeChat official accounts. This article focuses on the COVID-19 pandemic and, through social media text mining and processing, analyzes the text topics and emotions covered. Basic principles of discourse validity, regarding this public energy field and two guarantee conditions, are applied to analyze the information exchange and dialog between the government and the public on COVID-19 through WeChat official accounts. It was found that the government's WeChat official accounts have not yet formed a harmonious dialog space to balance the public energy field, and that the interaction between the government and the public has to be improved. The government's social discourse had a significant influence on the public's social discourse. Using text analysis, the study found that the government has published information on 11 topics related to the prevention and control of the pandemic. It can be argued that the public energy field presented by both the government and the public effectively portrayed and reflected the actual situation of the pandemic in China.

RESUMO

Perfluorinated compounds (PFCs) are a group of widely used synthetic chemicals. Owing to their unique chemical properties, PFCs can accumulate in the environment and living organisms. In vitro and in vivo studies have demonstrated the adverse effects of exposure to PFCs, resulting in increased concern. Therefore, a fast, reliable analytical method is crucial for human biomonitoring and health risk assessment. This study used two isotope internal standards to identify and quantify 24 PFCs in umbilical cord serum samples, based on classical liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) with liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). According to our review of the literature, this study is the first to determine the TFHSA, S4hPDS, S4hPOS, S4hPHS, SPHeS, SPNoS, and SPPeS by using this developed method. The average spiked recoveries of 24 PFCs were acceptable, ranging from approximately 64.0% to 124%; RSDs ranged from 0.74% to 11.2%; LOD and LOQ ranged from 0.013 to 0.248 µg/L and from 0.030 to 0.747 µg/L, respectively. This method was applied to measure the PFCs in umbilical cord serum samples; 24 PFCs were detected in the investigated samples, which are comparable to those reported in the literature. TFHSA, S4hPDS, S4hPOS, S4hPHS, SPHeS, SPNoS, and SPPeS were also detected in the samples, which should be investigated in further research. The sensitivity, accuracy, and precision of the developed method are sufficient for its application in large-scale biomonitoring studies.

RESUMO

Fragrances are widely used in everyday life. However, too fast volatilization rates and poor adhesion on substrates limit their applications. In this study, reactive nano-fragrance based on cyanuric chloride (CYC)-modified chitosan (CSCYC) were prepared by a solvent evaporation method. First, CS-CYC was synthesized. Subsequently, CS and CS-CYC were utilized to prepare nano-fragrances. The results demonstrated that adding CS and CS-CYC could significantly improve the fragrance encapsulation efficiency and reduce the release rate of phenylethanol. phenylethanol Moreover, the adhesion of nano-capsules on commodities was improved with CS by forming hydrogen bonds. CYC on the surface of the nanocapsules further enhanced the conglutination of nano-fragrances on commodities by a condensation reaction with wallpaper. Additionally, the addition of both CS and CS-CYC imparted antibacterial activity for the nano-fragrances against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria with excellent biosafety. Therefore, the reactive nano-fragrances with antimicrobial activity and slow-release properties could provide a comfortable and healthy living environment, making them have vast application potential.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: Evidence from the field of cognitive interventions indicates that nonpharmaceutical interventions seem more promising in enhancing cognition. The number of clinical trials that examine the cognitive benefits of combined physical exercise with cognitive intervention on older adults has recently increased. Tai Chi (TC) has been recommended as an effective and safe exercise for older adults aged 60 and over. However, there is a lack of conclusion about whether combined TC with cognitive interventions can show more benefits than a single intervention for older adults. Thus, this review aimed to evaluate the effects of combined TC and cognitive interventions on older adults. METHODS: PubMed, Embase, PsycINFO, and Web of Science were searched for English peer-reviewed papers from inception until November 12, 2021. Data were extracted by two independent reviewers. RESULTS: A total of 1524 records were generated and nine studies were included. The pooled results showed that combined TC and cognitive interventions showed significantly large gains on memory [standardised mean difference (SMD) = 0.87, 95% confidence interval (CI): (0.01, 1.74), P 0.05], moderate gains on cognition [SMD = 0.74, 95% CI:(0.19, 1.29), P 0.05], and small size effects on balance. No statistically significant difference was found in executive function, depression, risk of falls, or well-being. CONCLUSION: Combined TC and cognitive interventions have positive effects on improving cognition and balance in older adults, but their superiority over the single intervention, as well as their additional effects on the physical and psychological function, are required further investigation.

RESUMO

Objective: To assess the incidence, risk factors, and clinical characteristics of perinatal stroke in Beijing. Methods: This multicenter prospective study included all the live births from 17 representative maternal delivery hospitals in Beijing from March 1, 2019 to February 29, 2020. Neonates with a stroke were assigned to the study group. Clinical data, including general information, clinical manifestations, and risk factors, were collected. Up until 18 months after birth, neonates were routinely assessed according to the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) and/or the Bayley scale. Statistical analysis was done using the chi-squared, t-tests, and logistic regression analysis using SPSS version 26.0. Outcomes: In total, 27 cases were identified and the incidence of perinatal stroke in Beijing was 1/2,660 live births, including 1/5,985 for ischemic stroke and 1/4,788 for hemorrhagic stroke. Seventeen cases (62.96%) of acute symptomatic stroke and convulsions within 72 h (10 cases, 37.04%) were the most common presentations. Ten patients showed no neurological symptoms and were found to have had a stroke through routine cranial ultrasonography after being hospitalized for non-neurological diseases. The risk factors include primiparity, placental or uterine abruption/acute chorioamnionitis, intrauterine distress, asphyxia, and severe infection. In the study group, 11.1% (3/27) of patients had adverse neurodevelopmental outcomes. The patients in the study group had lower scores for the ASQ than those in the control group in the communication, gross, and fine motor dimensions. Conclusion: The incidence of perinatal stroke in Beijing was consistent with that in other countries. Routine neuroimaging of infants with risk factors may enable identification of asymptomatic strokes in more patients. Patients who have suffered from a stroke may have neurological sequelae; therefore, early detection, treatment, and regular follow-ups are beneficial for improving their recovery outcomes.

RESUMO

High-entropy perovskite oxides (HEPOs) are attracting significant attention due to their unique structures, unprecedented properties and great application potential in many fields, while available synthetic methods have many shortcomings; so it is still a challenge to develop a simple, low-cost and environment-friendly synthetic strategy for HEPOs. Herein, a novel synthetic strategy is reported for HEPOs using an ionic liquid (IL)-hydroxide-mediated technique at a low temperature and normal atmospheric pressure. The synthesized HEPOs, including Ba(FeNbTiZrTa)O3, Ba(MnNbTiZrTa)O3, Ba(FeSnTiZrTa)O3 and Ba(FeVTiZrTa)O3, exhibit a cubic structure and a dispersed nanoparticle morphology (particle size of 20-60 nm). The formation process of HEPOs in an IL-KOH system can be described as follows: first, B-site metal source compounds are dissolved in IL-KOH medium to form hydroxyl complexes; second, the complexes further dehydrate, condensate and react with Ba2+ ions to form the crystal nuclei of HEPOs under the synergistic effect of reaction temperature and basicity; third, the growth of HEPO nuclei is completed by the Ostwald ripening process. In these processes, KOH not only plays a role as a solvent, but also provides sufficient OH- concentration for the formation and condensation of B-site metal hydroxyl complexes, while the IL also makes significant contributions: first, a lower reaction temperature and lower dosage of KOH are achieved by the use of the IL; second, the IL with good dissolving ability and low surface tensions can promote the nucleation rate of HEPOs and improve the Ostwald ripening process; third, the compact adsorption of the IL on the surface of products ensures a small particle size and high dispersion of HEPO nanoparticles to a certain extent. In brief, the technique provides an innovative, low-cost, simple and nontoxic strategy for the synthesis of HEPOs, which can be extended to other high-entropy materials.

RESUMO

Gastrochilusheminii (Orchidaceae), a new orchid species from Sichuan Province, Southwest China, is described and illustrated. It morphologically resembles G.affinis and G.yei, but differs markedly from the former in having a thinner and slightly rolled downwards reniform epichile and the central thickened purple-red mat with irregular folds (vs. subtriangular epichile curves upwards, with 2 thick, brown to purplish-brown median ridges from base to apex), and can be clearly distinguished from the latter by having reniform epichile with lobed apex and subconical hypochile with bilobed apex that splits into two conical protrusions (vs. semi-rounded epichile not lobed and subconical hypochile not bilobed). The results of molecular phylogenetic analysis based on nuclear ribosome internal transcribed spacer (nrITS) and four chloroplast DNA fragments (matK, psbA-trnH, psbM-trnD, and trnL-F) of 36 Gastrochilus species showed that G.heminii was closely related to G.affinis and G.distichus.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Cadmium (Cd) is a common heavy metal pollutant. Prenatal exposure to Cd results in adverse effects on fetal development. Placental apoptosis, inflammation, and epigenetic disruption have been implicated in Cd-induced placental toxicity. Resveratrol (Res) is a naturally occurring polyphenol with anti-apoptotic, anti-inflammatory, and epigenetic regulatory activities. In present study, the effects of Res on placental toxicity induced by Cd were evaluated. METHODS: Pregnant CD-1 mice were fed with base diet containing 0.2% Res started on gestational day 0 (GD0), and intraperitoneally injected with 4.5 mg/kg CdCl2 or saline once on GD9. JEG-3 cells were treated with 20 µM Res for 24 hr in the absence or presence of 20 µM CdCl2 for the second 12 hr. The fetal outcomes, the apoptosis in placenta and JEG-3 cells, the expression of inflammatory cytokines and chemokines including tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 (MCP-1), macrophage inflammatory protein-2 (MIP-2) and chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 1 (KC), and expression of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress markers were evaluated. The expression and activities of DNA methyltransferase (DNMT), and the activation of Akt signaling pathway were detected. RESULTS: Cd exposure resulted in decreased fetal weight and crown-rump length while Res ameliorated these outcomes. Res suppressed Cd-induced apoptosis in placenta and JEG-3 cells, and decreased Cd-induced expression of TNF-α, IFN-γ, MCP-1, MIP-2, and KC in placenta. Cd greatly increased ER stress in placenta in mice, which was partially ameliorated by Res treatment. Res decreased Cd-induced upregulation of DNMT activity and suppressed Cd-induced expression of DNMT3B. Res restored estradiol secretion, enhances activity and protein levels of SIRT1 and inhibited Cd-induced activation of Akt signaling pathway. CONCLUSION: Res ameliorated Cd-induced placental toxicity and regulated DNMT3 expression and PI3K/Akt pathway activation.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Medium or large coronary artery aneurysm (CAA) is a serious complication of Kawasaki disease (KD) and may cause thrombosis, coronary artery stenosis, and even myocardial infarction at different stages of the disease. Dual antiplatelet therapy (aspirin plus clopidogrel) is considered for prophylaxis of coronary thrombosis in KD presenting with more than medium CAAs based on adult coronary artery disease experience and expert consensus. This paper describes the study protocol for a randomized controlled trial that measures the clinical effectiveness and safety of dual antiplatelet therapy in the thromboprophylactic treatment of KD. METHODS: The present study is a multicenter, open-label, randomized controlled trial (RCT) with a 12-month follow-up. KD patients with medium or large CAAs (Z-value ≥5), evaluated by echocardiogram and clinicians before treatment, are randomized in a 1:1 ratio and assigned to aspirin therapy alone (Control group), or dual antiplatelet (aspirin plus clopidogrel) therapy (Experimental group). Antiplatelet therapy is given to the KD patients from the time of diagnosis until the coronary artery returns to normal. Weekly or monthly follow-up visits are conducted to record compliance, recovery, and biochemical indicators and continue for one year. The primary outcome is the incidence of thrombus throughout the disease and the effective of dual antiplatelet. The secondary outcomes are the safety of dual antiplatelet drugs, platelet-related indicators, inflammatory indicators, biochemical indexes and drug-related indicators during the study period. Patients who do not meet the inclusion criteria of the RCT trial or those unwilling to provide informed consent enter the registration trial. DISCUSSION: This is the first study to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of dual antiplatelet therapy in coronary aneurysms caused by Kawasaki disease in children. It is hoped that this study will play an important and significant role in improving the prognosis and long-term quality of life for children with KD complicated by CAAs. RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To investigate post-traumatic growth (PTG) and analyze its correlation with professional self-identity and social support in Chinese nurses who faced the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic. METHODS: A cross-sectional descriptive design was used in this study. An online questionnaire was completed by 266 nurses who faced the COVID-19 emergency in Hubei Province, China. The Post-traumatic Growth Inventory (PTGI), Professional Self-identity Scale, and Perceived Social Support Scale were used to assess the level of PTG, professional self-identity, and social support. Descriptive, univariate analysis and multiple regression analyses were used in exploring related influencing factors. RESULTS: Participants' mean scores were 96.26 (SD = 21.57) for PTG, 115.30 (SD = 20.82) for professional self-identification, and 66.27 (SD = 12.90) for social support. Multiple regression analysis showed that nurses from other provinces moving to support Hubei Province, professional self-identity, and social support were the main factors affecting nurse stress (p = 0.014, < 0.001, and 0.017, respectively). Professional self-identity and social support were positively correlated with PTG (r = 0.720 and 0.620, respectively). CONCLUSIONS: There was a phenomenon of PTG when the nurses faced COVID-19 in Hubei Province. Providing an active coping style helps to improve the level of PTG.

RESUMO

Leukemia is a liquid tumor caused by a hematopoietic stem cell malignant clone, which seriously affects the normal function of the hematopoietic system. Conventional drugs have poor therapeutic effects due to their poor specificity and stability. With the development of nanotechnology, nonviral nanoparticles bring hope for the efficient treatment of leukemia. Nanoparticles are easily modified. They can be designed to target lesion sites and control drug release. Thereby, nanoparticles can improve the effects of drugs and reduce side effects. This review mainly focuses on and summarizes the current research progress of nanoparticles to deliver different leukemia therapeutic drugs, as to demonstrate the potential of nanoparticles in leukemia treatment.
