[Peculiarities of human lung prenatal morphogenesis at the first trimester of pregnancy in different periods after Chernobyl accident]. / Osobennosti prenatal'nogo morfogeneza legkikh cheloveka pervogo trimestra beremennosti v raznye sroki posle Cernobyl'skoi avarii.

The comparative histological and morphometric analysis of the bronchial structures of human fetal lungs was performed. Fetal lungs were taken from pregnant women living in radionuclide polluted zones (Novozibcov, Bryansk region) or in control regions (Moscow) in different periods after Chernobyl accident. Relative areas of the bronchial epithelial tubes and mesenchyme, quantity of bronchial branches and buds (end sections) of epithelial tubes on cut area unit were determined. The dates received in 1992-1993 showed the delay of fetal bronchial growth and branching in comparison with control. It can be estimated as tissue dysplasia of lungs from fetuses of mothers living in Novozibcov. The material received in 1995 showed the more intensive growth of bronchial branches in human fetal lungs than the material from Novozibcov and of the Moscow control, taken in 1992-1993. These date suggest the heterogenous character of lung prenatal morphogenesis reactions of offspring from pregnant women lived in different periods on controllable territories of Bryansk region.

Lethal effect on alveolar macrophages is observed cytologically in all cases. Increase of neutrophils in alveols was found against the background of allergisation and inflammatory immune reactions. General state of patients with a syndrome of acute pulmonary damage but without parallel pulmonary pathology improved by day 5-20, neutrophillosis was moderate (22.8 +/- 8.3). On the contrary lavage liquid in patients with parallel pulmonary pathology had a high neutrophillosis (85.5 +/- 6.6). Endopulmonary cytogram allows prognosis and correction of treatment.

Bronchoalveolar lavage cells and mitotic activity of monocytes and macrophages in rats after long-term intermittent hypoxia.

Long-term (1.5 months) intermittent hypoxia promoted desquamation of bronchial epithelial cells, decreased the relative content of alveolar macrophages and monocytes in bronchoalveolar lavage, stimulated lymphocyte migration to the lungs, and increased the relative content of lymphoid cell in rats. Mitotic activity of monocytes and macrophages decreased against the background of intraalveolar lymphocytosis (lymphocytic alveolitis).

[Features of the ultrastructural organization of the muscles of skaters in relation to their sport specialization and muscle fiber composition]. / Osobennosti ul'trastrukturnoi organizatsii myshts kon'kobezhtsev v zavisimosti ot sportivnoi spetsializatsii sostava myshechnykh volokon.

An electron microscopical and histochemical investigation of bioptates obtained from the external broad femoral muscle of 74 sportsmen-skaters has been performed. Structural adaptation of the muscles to speed loadings and to endurance loadings has been analysed taking into consideration contents of muscle fibers (MF) of various type. Peculiarities in ultrastructural organization of the skeletal MF in the sprinter- and stayer-skaters, who undergo training according to a special program, are described; the character of the muscle changes is also followed in the sportsmen who undergo training according to the program that does not correspond to the contents of their MF. Lesions in the latter up to the necrotic ones are mostly found in the muscles of the stayer-skaters, as well as in the sprinters trained according to the stayer program. Presence of essential destructive alterations of the muscles in the skaters, especially in those whose contents of slow muscles do not correspond to their specialization, demonstrates, evidently, the fact that the given physical loading is not adequate to the functional or potential possibilities of the organism.

In tests set up on rats the effect of methandrostenolone on the external secretion of the liver, fermentative activity of the pancreatic tissue and histological and hisochemical findings subsequent to an investigation of internal organs were studied. Introduction of methandrostenolone led to changes in bilification and to a reduced concentration basic components of the bile, to a distinctly pronounced rise in the level of the trypsin inhibitor and to a depressed activity of trypsin in the pancreatic tissue. It also resulted in a change of histochemical and fermentative indices in the tissue of the liver, spleen and other organs.
