RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To study reflexes coming from the chemoreceptors in the humoral-isolated vertebral artery zone on systemic arterial pressure, cerebral and intra-ear hemodynamics in separate stimulation with angioprotectors. RESULTS: A more pronounced reflex depression of the above-described effectors was caused by Nicergoline, it was less pronounced when using Vinpocetine and Pentoxifylline. Correlation analysis in doing so of the dynamics of arterio-venular coefficient of bulbar conjunctiva vessels and the membrane of the ears labyrinth round window revealed a direct relationship. CONCLUSION: These studies objectivize the therapy of ear labyrinth discirculation with angioprotectives.

RESUMO

Physical culture and sports are still an effective means of rehaabilitation and social integration of persons with weakened health. They allow people with disabilities to fully discover all their functional reserves and be active members of society. In this regard, the further development of physical culture and sports work with people with various health problems is very promising. One of the types of such activities are footbal groups, where children and young people with Down's syndrome are becoming more active. For athletes with a mosaic form of Down's syndrome, it is very important, first of all, that there are conditions for practicing football, that is, a gym with inventory, as evidencedby high marks to the quality of the classes. The use of visual training methods (instructions, drawings, schemes) in training improves the interaction of athletes with the coach, facilitates the assimilation of the training material and thereby increases the motor density of the session. It is clear that the personality of the coach plays the leading role in the training process. From how competently he interacts with his athletes, how attentive to the, how uch he carries them into playing sports ultimately depends the result of his activities ad the success of the students. It is also very important attention to the success of young athletes with a mosaic form of Down syndrome. Promotion of football among them and their active encouragement for sportes success is a serious incentive form their further employment in football and increases the popularity not only of this sport, but also of a healthy lifestyle (AU)

RESUMO

There was investigated the effect of chronic Cr (VI) on the content of chromium, iron, copper; zinc, nickel in the blood of rats and activity of antioxidant enzymes of erythrocytes in Wistar rats. The chromium concentration has been shown to increase multifold while the level of other metal is more or less declining. Also it was found a decrease in the activity of such antioxidant enzymes as superoxide dismutase, catalase, and the activation of the processes of free radical oxidation. Thus, it can be assumed that the effect of Cr (VI) is implemented via an imbalance of trace elements and the activation of the processes of free radical oxidation.

RESUMO

A humoral immune response was studied in the Wistar rats and (CBAxC57B16)F1 mice orally given potassium bichromate, benzene, and their mixture with drinking water. The test substances were found to have an immunosuppressive effect on both the parameters of an immune response and the level of lysozyme in the experimental animals, which appeared as reductions in the number of splenocytes in the rats, the relative count of antibody-forming cells in the mice, the absolute count of AFC on the spleen in the rats and mice, the level of hemagglutinins in the rats, and that of lysozyme in the rats and mice. Benzene and a mixture of benzene and potassium bichromate showed the most marked immunosuppressive effect on these animals.

RESUMO

The effects of potassium bichromate, benzene, and their mixture on cell immunological parameters and the blood content of trace elements were studied in Wistar rats. Oral administration of benzene, potassium bichromate, and their mixture to Wistar rats was found to result in reductions in cell immunological parameters (the count of leukocytes, thymocytes, splenocytes, myelokaryocytes, the level of phagocytic indices) and the levels of copper, iron, nickel, and, on the contrary, increases in the concentrations of zinc and chromium in blood.

RESUMO

The interaction of fumed silica A-300 (S(BET) = 297 m2 g(-1)) with bovine serum albumin (prepared by different methods), ovalbumin, human hemoglobin, and gelatin as a function of pH, salinity, and concentrations of components in aqueous medium was studied by adsorption and photon correlation spectroscopy (PCS) methods. Comparison of equilibrium (incubation time t(i) approximately 1 h) adsorption of proteins on A-300, minute (t(i) approximately 1 min) flocculation rate, and the particle size distributions measured by the PCS method shows different rearrangement of particle swarms depending on pH, salinity, and concentration of proteins, especially at pH close to IEP of silica or proteins. The electrokinetic mobility of protein/silica swarms is greater than that of individual components at pH far from the IEP of proteins. Changes in the Gibbs free energy (DeltaG) on protein adsorption depend on pH (-DeltaG is minimal at pH 2, close to the IEP of silica, and maximal at pH between the IEP of protein and silica), concentration (-DeltaG is maximal at C(p) between 1 and 6 mg/ml), type of proteins, and their preparation technique.

RESUMO

Immunity was evaluated in 890 schoolchildren living in rural localities of the Central and Western lands of the Orenburg Region. There was a correlation between the immunological parameters of the examinees and the levels of trace elements in environmental objects. The children's immunity showed unilateral changes in the studied parameters as compared with the regional standards. The closest correlation was found between the absolute count of T lymphocytes, stab neutrophils, the levels of IgA, IgM in children and the content of I, Sr, Mn, Cr in cereals and vegetables, as well as between the levels of IL-2 and alpha-TNF and the blood concentrations of Cu, Fe, Cr, Ni, Co in the examined children. The immunological changes may result from the imbalance of trace elements in the studied environmental objects and biological substrates.

RESUMO

Examinations of 6-11-year healthy children living in industrial cities of the Orenburg region revealed a close relationship between ecological status of the territory and some immunity parameters such as immune deficiency, interferon content, and formation of postvaccinal immunity with live measles vaccine. The most pronounced changes in the immune status and decreased postvaccinal immunity were found in a city with the greatest anthropogenic load. Changes in interferon status were similar in all cities: a 2-fold increase of serum interferon and suppressed production of interferon-alpha and interferon-gamma.

RESUMO

A hundred patients with infiltrative pulmonary tuberculosis were studied. They were examined for bacterial isolates and mycobacterial antigens in the immune complexes. The isolates were detected in 76%. In most cases, isolation stopped 3 months following chemotherapy and in the absolute majority of cases (except one) 9 months after. Isolation of L-forms remained for a longer period of time, at month 6 of therapy there was an increase in the number of patients who were found to have L-forms of the bacteria. Most (97%) patients with infiltrative tuberculosis displayed mycobacterial antigens circulating in the immune complexes. Antigenemia retained in a considerable (40%) number of patients long (up to 9 months) and in most cases with the unfavourable course of the disease.

RESUMO

150 patients with infiltrative tuberculosis (IT) and 135 healthy subjects were subjected to HLA-typing. Clinico-immunogenetic correlations provided evidence for significantly higher incidence of antigens A11, B12, Cw2, DR2, DR5 in IT patients versus healthy subjects. Antigens Cw3 and DR2 occur more frequently in progressive disease. IT patients disseminating M. tuberculosis carry more frequently antigens HLA-DR2, those with L-forms DR5, with antigenemia antigens HLA-DR2 and DR4.

RESUMO

As a result of examining 211 persons with severe somatic pathology (the crush syndrome, multiple fractures, spinal cord injuries, and so forth) received during the earthquake, 179 (84.8%) manifested psychopathological disorders. Of these, 70 persons (33.2%) had asthenia, consciousness disturbances, insomnia which were viewed as somatogenic, 17 persons (8.1%) with craniocerebral injury had the signs of the establishment of the psycho-organic syndrome, and in 109 persons (51%), the clinical picture was determined by psychogenically conditioned depressive, anxious-phobic and psychopathic reactions. The data obtained allow one to judge the characteristics of the mental status during the subacute period (from the first to the second week) after the earthquake.

RESUMO

The paper is concerned with studying the optimal fatty acid composition of food fat. The experiments were carried out on growing male rats with an initial medium body weight of 72-83 g. The acid content in experimental fat mixtures prepared on the basis of sunflower, olive, coconut oils and beef fat was made different within the preset ranges. These mixtures served as the diet fat component, which was given to rats in an amount of 30% in terms of caloricity. The follow-up study was performed for 12-14 weeks. Examination of a complex of the biological parameters made it possible to establish that the food fat if balanced in the acid content and possessing the highest biological properties is to include 20% linolic acid, 50% oleic acid and 30% saturated fatty acids. The ratio of medium- and high molecular weight fatty acids is to be equal to 1:1.
