[Mature teratoma of the pharynx and nasal cavity in a newborn: a case report]. / Klinicheskoe nablyudenie zreloi teratomy glotki i polosti nosa u novorozhdennogo.

We present to your attention a case of mature teratoma of the pharynx and nasal cavity in a newborn, which caused severe obstruction of the upper respiratory tract and required emergency action. The article describes the diagnostic algorithm, the choice of optimal treatment tactics, which allowed rehabilitate the child in infancy.

New animal model of diphtheritic myocarditis.

A new rabbit experimental model was developed in order to study the role of the lymph system in the pathogenesis of diphtheritic myocarditis. We injected the diphtheritic toxin into the connective tissue (tela cellularis) of the anterior mediastinum. (It inevitably drains from there to the lymph vessels of the heart.) As a result, typical Diphtheritic Myocarditis along with the severe lesion of the regional lymph nodes of the heart was induced.
