RESUMO

The aim of our study was to estimate the cytokins changes (TNF alpha, IL-1 beta, IL-8, IL-4) in patients with combination of chronic opisthorhosis and Helicobacter pylori associated gastritis and to estimate degelmintizational therapy with biltricid on cytokine levels. The 55 patients were investigated and divided on two groups: isolated opisthorhosis -- 20 patients and opisthorhosis in combination with Helicobacter pylori associated gastritis -- 35 patients. In both groups of patients was estimated the increase of TNF alpha, IL-1 beta, IL-8, IL-4 levels. The treatment with biltricid allow to decrease the TNF alpha, IL-1beta, IL-8 levels and to increase IL-4 level, especially in patients with combination of chronic opisthorhosis and Helicobacter pylori associated gastritis.

RESUMO

AIM: To investigate disorders of psychoemotional functions, humoral regulation (substance P) and duodenal motility (DM) in patients with combined refluxes for their differential correction. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A total of 60 patients with gastroesophageal and duodenogastric refluxes were examined. RESULTS: Patients with reflux disorders had more frequent and severe neurotic reactions. Humoral changes are associated with characteristics of psychoemotional regulation. The risk of subnormal levels of the substance P rises substantially in changes in the scales of anxiety, neurotic depression, hysterical reaction and autonomic disorders. Segmental duodenal motility regresses with lowering of plasmic levels of substance P. CONCLUSION: Patients with combined reflux disorders have psychoemotional disorders, abnormal humoral regulation and duodenal motility necessitating a differential approach to treatment of such patients.

RESUMO

Analysis of germline mutation rate at human minisatellites among children born in areas of the Mogilev district of Belarus heavily polluted after the Chernobyl accident has been extended, both by recruiting more families from the affected region and by using five additional minisatellite probes, including multi-locus probe 33.6 and four hypervariable single-locus probes. These additional data confirmed a twofold higher mutation rate in exposed families compared with non-irradiated families from the United Kingdom. An elevated rate was seen at all three independent sets of minisatellites (detected separately by multi-locus probes 33.15, 33.6 and six single-locus probes), indicating a generalised increase in minisatellite germline mutation rate in the Belarus families. Within the Belarus cohort, mutation rate was significantly greater in families with higher parental radiation dose estimated for chronic external and internal exposure to caesium-137, consistent with radiation induction of germline mutation. The spectra of mutation seen in the unexposed and exposed families were indistinguishable, suggesting that increased mutation observed over multiple loci arises indirectly by some mechanism that enhances spontaneous minisatellite mutation.

RESUMO

Germline mutation at human minisatellite loci has been studied among children born in heavily polluted areas of the Mogilev district of Belarus after the Chernobyl accident and in a control population. The frequency of mutation was found to be twice as high in the exposed families as in the control group. Mutation rate in the Mogilev families was correlated with the level of caesium-137 surface contamination, consistent with radiation induction of germline mutation.

RESUMO

The paper describes processing of peripheral blood screening based on methods of mathematical statistics and partially ordered sets theory. This allows global assay of individual and populational blood, assessment of borderline conditions by introduction of global criterion. The above methodology was tried to analyze data obtained at screening of peripheral blood from children living in radionuclide-contaminated regions. The most considerable contribution to region-specific populational differences belongs to red cells, monocytes, band neutrophils, eosinophils. Hemogram deterioration in children and adolescents seems to result rather from chemical pollution and social factors than radiation effect (in doses not high than 2.2 rem a year).

RESUMO

This work is dedicated to the study of use of quantitative analysis of cell nucleus structure for the analysis of peripheral blood lymphocytes in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia. The structure of lymphocytic nuclei of healthy donors was evaluated by means of staining by toluidine blue purified cell suspensions smears. The preparations were analysed on the television measuring system "omnicon" with measurements of the following parameters: square of the nucleus, euchromatin, heterochromatin, and the ratio of heterochromatin and euchromatin squares. Actuarial analysis and nuclei classification of the previously mentioned parameters showed, that in peripheral blood of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia a large amount of atypical lymphocytes is present with reduced nucleus sizes. Atypical cells retain the ratio of structural components of chromatine, characteristic to normal cells, which show their low proliferative activity.

RESUMO

It is shown that the consumption of glucocorticoids from the complexes with serum proteins by hepatocytes decreases with ageing. Transcortin-complexed decrease adenosine monophosphate binding by the liver cells but the degree of this inhibition decreases with an increase of animals' age, which is probably connected with the change in physicochemical properties of steroid-transport blood glycoprotein.

RESUMO

A considerable improvement of the transport function of erythrocytes due to desorption of endotoxins from their membranes was found by results of fluorescent probes of the blood erythrocyte membranes in 92 patients with different diseases who were under 275 hemosorptions in the complex treatment.

RESUMO

The results of using methods of intensive therapy, i.e. administration of antibacterial mixtures into the retrotracheal fat as well as temporary bronchial occlusion are presented. 49 patients with severe or torpid diseases of specific and nonspecific etiology whose treatment was difficult because of complications or concomitant diseases were included into the study. The methods of intensive therapy proved efficient in some patients with severe affections of the lungs and pleura. They should be widely used in clinical practice.

RESUMO

The authors have analyzed complications in 395 hemosorptions in 189 patients with different diseases, burns being most frequent one associated with hypocalcemia resulting from great doses of heparin. Trental and small doses of heparin are proposed for prevention of the complications.
