RESUMO

All care is relational care. There is no care without emotion and there is no emotion without movement, the relationship is continuous and dynamic. It is an encounter between two individuals and the different emotions that run through them at that moment. How do you develop the emotional skills of your students during their initial training at the Institut de formation en soins infirmiers (Ifsi)-Institut de formation d'aides-soignants (Ifas) de la Pitié-Salpêtrière, in Paris?

RESUMO

In the turmoil of the COVID-19 pandemic that hit France, particularly the Île-de-France region, in the spring of 2020, the training staff of the Institute for Training of Nurses and Nursing Auxiliaries at the Pitié-Salpêtrière, in Paris, 13th, became involved and adapted to health measures to meet urgent human needs. Whether in the field of care, in support of students or involved in innovative remote monitoring systems at home for patients suffering from COVID-19, they have had some memorable experiences.

RESUMO

Supporting the professionalisation of student nurses through the approach of the body. When student nurses begin their training, their approach to others' bodies is shaped by social norms. This relationship changes through their studies and their practice placements, until they become qualified professionals. Becoming a caregiver requires them to change their relationship with the body. How does the training support students in the transformations of their representations, enabling them to be competent in the nurse-patient relationship within the other person's private sphere?

RESUMO

Professor Claire Mounier-Vehier, a cardiologist and vascular specialist at Lille university regional hospital, is a leading spokesperson for women in the field of the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. One of her many roles is head of the 'heart, arteries and women health care pathway' set up in 2013 at Lille university hospital. She discusses the importance of this specific and multidisciplinary care pathway at a time when epidemiological data show that the management of women's cardiovascular health has become a public health priority.

The portfolio, a tool for monitoring nursing students throughout their internship period, has now been modified. The new 2015 version can be used to monitor and trace the student's career as well as progress made. One of the major new points is the integration of an intermediate internship assessment.

RESUMO

In order to harmonise the supervision of student nurses in the different departments of the same unit, a Parisian hospital team has created a working group. An IT tool for supervising the students to be used by the whole unit is also under development.
