RESUMO

A novel HPLC method was developed and validated to determine radiochemical identity, radiochemical purity and chemical purity for the analysis of O-(2-[18F]fluoroethyl-l-tyrosine ([18F]FET). In this method, an analytical Phenomenex Gemini C18 column was used with an isocratic eluent of 7 % ethanol and 93 % 50 mM potassium phosphate buffer (pH = 6.9). The flow rate was 1.0 mL/min and the injection volume was 10 µL. A photo-diode array detector set at 220 nm was used for UV mass detection and a single channel, high sensitivity radiation detector was used. The method validation assays including specificity, linearity, precision, accuracy, and robustness were evaluated. Results show that the method was suitable for qualitative and quantitative determination of radiochemical and chemical purity of [18F]FET. This system has been routinely used for the analysis of more than 120 batches of [18F]FET with radiochemical yield 23.7 ± 6 % (no decay corrected) and molar activity 593 ± 284 GBq/µmole in our facility to support human use.

RESUMO

Glyphosate (N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine, GLY) ranks among the most extensively used and effective herbicides globally. However, excessive GLY utilization poses a substantial threat to the survival of honey bees (Apis cerana). Here we monitored the survival status of A. cerana treated with GLY, and conducted transcriptome sequencing of the bee gut and head to further explore potential GLY influences at the molecular level. We observed that the mortality rate of bees increased as GLY concentration escalated. Pivotal pathways emerged in response to the GLY treatment, with a substantial number of differentially expressed genes enriched in the longevity regulating pathway - multiple species. This strongly suggested that GLY may influence the physiological behavior of bees by impacting this particular pathway. Moreover, our analysis revealed a notable reduction in the enzymatic activities of CYP450 and AChE in both the bee head and intestines of when exposed to GLY. Conversely, the enzymatic activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) in the head remained unaffected, whereas in the intestines, it exhibited a significant increase. Additionally, prophenol oxidase (PPO) and glutathione-S-transferases (GSTs) displayed contrasting trends in enzymatic activity in both organs. This study offers valuable insights into how GLY impacted the survival of A. cerana.

RESUMO

INTRODUCTION: Functions of existing automatic module systems for synthesis of radiopharmaceuticals mainly focus on the radiolabeling of small molecules. There are few modules which have achieved full-automatic radiolabeling of non-metallic and metallic nuclides on small molecules, peptides, and antibody drugs. This study aimed to develop and test a full-automatic multifunctional module system for the safe, stable, and efficient production of radiopharmaceuticals. METHODS: According to characteristics of labeling process of radioactive drugs, using UG and Solidworks softwares, full-automatic cassette-based synthesis module system Mortenon M1 for synthesis of radiopharmaceuticals with various radionuclides, was designed and tested. Mortenon M1 has at least three significant highlights: the cassettes are disposable, and there is no need of manual cleaning; the synthesis method program is flexible and can be edited freely by users according to special needs; this module system is suitable for radiolabeling of both small-molecule and macromolecular drugs, with potentially various radionuclides including 18F, 64Cu, 68Ga, 89Zr, 177Lu, etc. By program control methods for certain drugs, Mortenon M1 was used for radiolabeling of both small-molecule drugs such as [68Ga]-FAPI-46 and macromolecular drugs such as [89Zr]-TROP2 antibody. Quality control assays for product purity were performed with radio-iTLC and radio-HPLC, and the radiotracers were confirmed for application in microPET imaging in xenograft tumor-bearing mouse models. RESULTS: Functional tests for Mortenon M1 module system were conducted, with [68Ga]-FAPI-46 and [89Zr]-TROP2 antibody as goal synthetic products, and it displayed that with the cassette modules, the preset goals could be achieved successfully. The radiolabeling synthesis yield was good ([68Ga]-FAPI-46, 70.63% ± 2.85%, n = 10; [89Zr]-TROP2, 82.31% ± 3.92%, n = 10), and the radiochemical purity via radio-iTLC assay of the radiolabeled products was above 99% after purification. MicroPET imaging results showed that the radiolabeled tracers had reasonable radioactive distribution in MDA-MB-231 and SNU-620 xenograft tumor-bearing mice, and the tumor targeted radiouptake was satisfactory for diagnosis. CONCLUSION: This study demonstrated that the full-automatic module system Mortenon M1 is efficient for radiolabeling synthesis of both small-molecule and macromolecular substrates. It may be helpful to reduce radiation exposure for safety, provide qualified radiolabeled products and reliable PET diagnosis, and ensure stable production and supply of radiopharmaceuticals.

RESUMO

The PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway is frequently dysregulated in cancer due to its central role in cell growth, survival, and proliferation. Overactivation of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway may occur through varying mechanisms including mutations, gene amplification, and upstream signaling events, ultimately resulting in cancer. Therefore, PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway has emerged as an attractive target for cancer therapy and imaging. A promising approach to inhibit this pathway involves a simultaneous inhibition of both PI3K and mTOR using a dual inhibitor. Recently, a potent dual PI3K/mTOR inhibitor, 2,4-difluoro-N-(2-methoxy-5-(3-(5-(2-(4-methylpiperazin-1-yl)ethyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-6-yl)pyridin-3-yl)benzenesulfonamide (7), was discovered and demonstrated excellent kinase selectivity IC50 (PI3K/mTOR) = 0.20/21 nM; good cellular growth inhibition IC50 (HCT-116 cell) = 10 nM, modest plasma clearance, and acceptable oral bioavailability. Expanding on this discovery, here we present the synthesis of the carbon-11 labeled imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine derivative 2,4-difluoro-N-(2-methoxy-5-(3-(5-(2-(4-[11C]methylpiperazin-1-yl)ethyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-6-yl)pyridin-3-yl)benzenesulfonamide (N-[11C]7) as a new potential radiotracer for the biomedical imaging technique positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of PI3K/mTOR in cancer. The reference standard 7 and its N-demethylated precursor, 2,4-difluoro-N-(2-methoxy-5-(3-(5-(2-(piperazin-1-yl)ethyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-6-yl)pyridin-3-yl)benzenesulfonamide (11), were synthesized in 7 and 8 steps with 10% and 7% overall chemical yield, respectively. N-[11C]7 was prepared from 11 using [11C]methyl triflate ([11C]CH3OTf) through N-11C-methylation and isolated by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and solid-phase extraction (SPE) formulation in 40-50% radiochemical yield decay corrected to end of bombardment (EOB) based on [11C]CO2. The radiochemical purity was > 99% and the molar activity (Am) at EOB was in the range of 296-555 GBq/µmol (n = 5).

RESUMO

The American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) 8th stage system was limited in accuracy for predicting prognosis of stage IA non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. This study aimed to establish and validate two nomograms that predict overall survival (OS) and lung cancer-specific survival (LCSS) in surgically resected stage IA NSCLC patients. Postoperative patients with stage IA NSCLC in SEER database between 2004 and 2015 were examined. Survival and clinical information according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria were collected. All patients were randomly divided into the training cohort and validation cohort with a ratio of 7:3. Independent prognosis factors were evaluated using univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses, and predictive nomogram was established based on these factors. Nomogram performance was measured using the C-index, calibration plots, and DCA. Patients were grouped by quartiles of nomogram scores and survival curves were plotted by Kaplan-Meier analysis. In total, 33,533 patients were included in the study. The nomogram contained 12 prognostic factors in OS and 10 prognostic factors in LCSS. In the validation set, the C-index was 0.652 for predicting OS and 0.651 for predicting LCSS. The calibration curves for the nomogram-predicted probability of OS and LCSS showed good agreement between the actual observation and nomogram prediction. DCA indicated that the clinical value of the nomograms were higher than AJCC 8th stage for predicting OS and LCSS. Nomogram scores related risk stratification revealed statistically significant difference which have better discrimination than AJCC 8th stage. The nomogram can accurately predict OS and LCSS in surgically resected patients with stage IA NSCLC. RESUMO

ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE: Huangqin Decoction (HQD), a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula chronicled in Shang Han Lun, is safe and effective for treatment of ulcerative colitis (UC). AIM OF THE STUDY: To investigate the effect of HQD against dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced UC mice by regulating gut microbiota and metabolites, and further explore the mechanism of fatty acid metabolism on macrophage polarization. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Based on 3% dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced UC mice model, clinical symptoms observation (body weight, DAI, and colon length) and histological inspection were used to evaluate the efficacy of HQD and fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) from HQD-treated mice. The gut microbiota and metabolites were detected by 16S rRNA sequencing and metabolomics analysis. The parameters of fatty acid metabolism, macrophage polarization, and FFAR1/FFAR4-AMPK-PPARα pathway were analyzed by immunofluorescence analysis, western blotting, and real-time PCR. Then, the effects of FFAR1 and FFAR4 on macrophage polarization were examined by agonists based on LPS-induced RAW264.7 cell model. RESULTS: The results showed that FMT, like HQD, ameliorated UC by improving weight loss, restoring colon length, and reducing DAI scores and histopathological scores. Besides, HQD and FMT both enhanced the richness of gut microbiota, and modulated intestinal bacteria and metabolites to achieve a new balance. Untargeted metabolomics analysis revealed that fatty acids, especially long-chain fatty acids (LCFAs), dominated in HQD against DSS-induced UC by regulating the gut microenvironment. Further, FMT and HQD recovered the expression of fatty acid metabolism-related enzymes, and simultaneously activated FFAR1/FFAR4-AMPK-PPARα pathway but suppressed NF-κB pathway. Combined with cell experiment, HQD and FMT promoted macrophage polarization from M1 toward M2, which were well associated with anti-inflammatory cytokines and combined with the activated FFAR4. CONCLUSIONS: The mechanism of HQD against UC was related to regulating fatty acid metabolism to mediate M2 macrophage polarization by activating the FFAR4-AMPK-PPARα pathway.

RESUMO

In South Asia, annual land use and land cover (LULC) is a severe issue in the field of earth science because it affects regional climate, global warming, and human activities. Therefore, it is vitally essential to obtain correct information on the LULC in the South Asia regions. LULC annual map covering the entire period is the primary dataset for climatological research. Although the LULC annual global map was produced from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) dataset in 2001, this limited the perspective of the climatological analysis. This study used AVHRR GIMMS NDVI3g data from 2001 to 2015 to randomly forests classify and produced a time series of the annual LULC map of South Asia. The MODIS land cover products (MCD12Q1) are used as data from reference for trained classifiers. The results were verified using the annual map of the LULC time series, and the space-time dynamics of the LULC map were shown in the last 15 years, from 2001 to 2015. The overall precision of our 15-year land cover map simplifies 16 classes, which is 1.23% and 86.70% significantly maximum as compared to the precision of the MODIS data map. Findings of the past 15 years show the changing detection that forest land, savanna, farmland, urban and established land, arid land, and cultivated land have increased; by contrast, woody prairie, open shrublands, permanent ice and snow, mixed forests, grasslands, evergreen broadleaf forests, permanent wetlands, and water bodies have been significantly reduced over South Asia regions.

RESUMO

Many drugs that show potential in animal models of glioblastoma (GBM) fail to translate to the clinic, contributing to a paucity of new therapeutic options. In addition, animal model development often includes histologic assessment, but multiparametric/multimodality imaging is rarely included despite increasing utilization in patient cancer management. This study developed an intracranial recurrent, drug-resistant, human-derived glioblastoma tumor in Sprague-Dawley Rag2-Rag2 tm1Hera knockout rat and was characterized both histologically and using multiparametric/multimodality neuroimaging. Hybrid 18F-fluoroethyltyrosine positron emission tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, including chemical exchange saturation transfer (18F-FET PET/CEST MRI), was performed for full tumor viability determination and characterization. Histological analysis demonstrated human-like GBM features of the intracranially implanted tumor, with rapid tumor cell proliferation (Ki67 positivity: 30.5 ± 7.8%) and neovascular heterogeneity (von Willebrand factor VIII:1.8 to 5.0% positivity). Early serial MRI followed by simultaneous 18F-FET PET/CEST MRI demonstrated consistent, predictable tumor growth, with exponential tumor growth most evident between days 35 and 49 post-implantation. In a second, larger cohort of rats, 18F-FET PET/CEST MRI was performed in mature tumors (day 49 post-implantation) for biomarker determination, followed by evaluation of single and combination therapy as part of the model development and validation. The mean percentage of the injected dose per mL of 18F-FET PET correlated with the mean %CEST (r = 0.67, P < 0.05), but there was also a qualitative difference in hot spot location within the tumor, indicating complementary information regarding the tumor cell demand for amino acids and tumor intracellular mobile phase protein levels. Finally, the use of this glioblastoma animal model for therapy assessment was validated by its increased overall survival after treatment with combination therapy (temozolomide and idasanutlin) (P < 0.001). Our findings hold promise for a more accurate tumor viability determination and novel therapy assessment in vivo in a recently developed, reproducible, intracranial, PDX GBM.

RESUMO

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the third leading cause of cancer mortality. Early detection of HCC is important since potentially curative therapies exist in the initial stages of HCC; no curative therapies exist for late-stage HCC. However, the initial detection of HCC remains challenging due to the lack of symptoms during the early stage of the disease. Other methods of screening and detecting HCC, including blood serum tests and conventional imaging methods, remain inadequate due to genetic differences between patients and the high background activity of liver tissues. Thus, there is a need for an accurate imaging agent for the diagnosis, staging, and prognosis of HCC. Glypican-3 (GPC3) is an oncofetal receptor responsible for regulating cell division, growth, and survival. GPC3 is a clinically relevant biomarker for imaging and therapeutics, as its expression is HCC tumor-specific and absent from normal and other pathological liver tissues. The development of novel GPC3-targeting imaging agents has encompassed three classes of biomolecules: peptides, antibodies, and aptamers. These biomolecules serve as constructs for diagnostic imaging (demonstrating potential as positron emission tomography [PET], single-photon emission tomography [SPECT], and optical imaging agents) and HCC treatment delivery. More than 20 unique ligands have been identified in the literature as showing specificity for the GPC3 receptor. Although several ligands are currently under clinical investigation as therapies for HCC, clinical translation of GPC3-targeting ligands as imaging agents is lacking. This review highlights the current landscape of ligands targeting GPC3 and describes their promising possibilities as imaging agents for HCC.

RESUMO

Cerebral infarction is an uncommon and unusual cause of acute amnesia. The fornix is a white matter tract bundle that plays an important function in memory. We present the case of a 60-year-old male presenting with altered mental status and acute onset amnesia with CT and MR imaging demonstrating an acute left fornix infarct. This case serves to further illuminate the findings associated with this uncommon clinical event. In addition, it highlights the importance for physicians across multiple subspecialities to maintain an index of suspicion for fornix infarct in the evaluation of acute onset amnesia.

RESUMO

Scrotal injury is present in less than 1% of all trauma-related injuries. Traumatic injuries of the scrotum are most commonly seen in penetrating or blunt injury but may also occur after iatrogenic causes such as in the intraoperative setting. We report a case of an isolated extratesticular hematoma incurred after scrotal trauma from prone intraoperative positioning during lumbar spinal surgery. Ultrasound performed following the procedure revealed an extratesticular hematoma without evidence of coexisting testicular injury. This case highlights an atypical insult to the scrotum and reinforces the need to ensure adequate positioning to prevent this postoperative complication.

RESUMO

INTRODUCTION: Due to individual deviations in tumor tissue uptake, the role of [18F]fluorodeoxyglucose ([18F]FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) diagnosis is limited. ß-Hydroxy ß-methylglutaryl-CoA reductase degradation 1 (HRD1) plays a key role in clearing misfolded proteins. This study is aimed to investigate the role and mechanism of HRD1 in [18F]FDG uptake for the diagnosis of HCC. METHODS: HRD1 expression level was detected using immunohistochemical (IHC) staining in 9 HCC patients. [18F]FDG PET/CT scans were conducted before treatment. [18F]FDG uptakes in HRD1 overexpressed and knockdown transgenic models were measured by γ-counter and microPET imaging. The GLUT1-HRD1 complex was examined by co-immunoprecipitation and IHC assays. GLUT1 expression in different cell lines, xenograft models and HCC patients was evaluated by Western blot and IHC assays. RESULTS: HRD1 was highly expressed in the HCC tumors of patients with low [18F]FDG uptake, while the HRD1 expression was obviously low in the higher [18F]FDG uptake group. Both in vitro and in vivo studies found that HRD1 significantly inhibited [18F]FDG uptake in HCC Huh7 cell lines and animal models. Furthermore, the co-location and interaction of HRD1 with GLUT1 were detected, and the results also indicate that HRD1 could induce the degradation of GLUT1 in vitro and in vivo. CONCLUSION: HRD1 inhibits the high uptake of [18F]FDG in HCC tumor cells by inducing degradation of GLUT1, which leads to decreased diagnostic efficiency of [18F]FDG PET imaging for HCC. ADVANCES IN KNOWLEDGE: This study suggests that HRD1 inhibits the high uptake of [18F]FDG in HCC tumor by inducing degradation of GLUT1. IMPLICATIONS FOR PATIENT CARE: HCC diagnosis with [18F]FDG PET should be accompanied by determination of HRD1 expression, and patients with high tumor HRD1 expression might be unsuitable for [18F]FDG PET.

RESUMO

Tenosynovial chondromatosis is a rare benign disorder characterized by formation of cartilaginous bodies within the synovia of the tendon sheaths. Most commonly present in the hands and feet. Clinical presentation and plain radiography can be inconclusive, which can lead to misclassification, most often confused as a chondroma of soft parts. In this case, we report the clinical, radiologic, and histology of a 59-year-old man who presented with a 1-year history of mass on the right fifth digit with limitation of motion secondary to this condition. Surgical excision revealed multiple cartilaginous nodules of varying size arising from the flexor tendon sheath. The diagnosis was confirmed postoperatively by surgical histopathology. The postoperative course of the patient was uncomplicated and has achieved an excellent functional recovery.

RESUMO

The molecular marker-assisted breeding is one of the important methods to cultivate excellent germplasms of Chinese medicinal materials by combining modern molecular biology with traditional genetic breeding. The main target of breeding is to make the biological characters of Chinese medicinal materials stable and the yield and medicinal component of it controllable, and ensure that the medicinal materials produced have the characteristics of "excellent shape, high quality and high effect". Compared with traditional breeding that prefers to the selection of phenotypic traits, the molecular marker-assisted breeding also emphasizes genotype screening. It mainly includes five fields, namely the construction of genetic linkage maps, the positioning of quantitative trait locus(QTL), the analysis of genetic diversities, the identification of varieties and hybrid germplasm purity, and the application of molecular marker-assisted selection. At present, SCoT, ISSR, SSR and SNP are the main DNA markers used in the studies of marker-assisted breeding of Chinese medicinal materials. With the rapid development of high-throughput sequencing technology, genome-wide association(GWAS) and molecular design breeding will become the hotspots of Chinese medicinal materials breeding in the future. In this paper, we review current studies excellent germplasm selection of Chinese medicinal materials using molecular marker-assisted breeding and future development prospects. It is suggested to accelerate the breeding of traditional Chinese medicinal materials using molecular pharmacognosy theory and methods, in order to provide theoretical guidance for breeding, protection and sustainable utilization of traditional Chinese medicinal materials.

RESUMO

"Dao-di herbs" is the original comprehensive index for the quality evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine, which has the characteristics of high quality and good effect. After more than 30 years of development, a large number of data, including text data, image data and other types, have been generated in the modern research on Dao-di herbs. It has the characteristics of large quantity, variety, scattered content and different structure, and the data types of each feature are isolated or less interrelated. Based on the literature published in CNKI journal database since 1999-2019, the data collection, selection and collation of 34 kinds of Dao-di herbs characteristics, micro characteristics, ecological characteristics and genetic characteristics were carried out. Using the knowledge base construction technology and combining these characteristics of the characteristics data of the herbs, the above characteristics data were standardized and regarded as a part of the knowledge base of the herbs. Based on a large number of data, this paper analyzes the knowledge composition, research status, comparison between modern and traditional producing areas of traditional Chinese medicine, and takes Salvia miltiorrhiza as an example to compare the ecological characteristics of modern and traditional producing areas. The construction of the knowledge base will facilitate the mining and utilization of the scientific data of Dao-di herbs, and provide resource management and basic guarantee for the transformation and promotion of scientific and technological achievements of Dao-di herbs.

RESUMO

In order to evaluate the quality of different varieties of Maca(Lepidium meyenii), the main chemical components in Maca were investigated and a method for simultaneous determination of the main chemical components in Maca was established. UPLC-UV-Q-TOF-MS technology and reference materials were used to identify the structures of 19 main components in Maca. Seven compounds with UV absorption and high contents were selected to establish a simultaneous concentration determination method. The method was employed with a Waters Acquity I-Class~(TM) liquid chromatographic system coupled with a PDA detector and a Waters Acquity Cortecs C_(18)~+ column(2.1 mm×100 mm, 1.6 µm), and acetonitrile-0.2% phosphoric acid water was used as mobile phase(0.45 mL·min~(-1)). The detection wavelength was 195 nm and the column temperature was maintained at 40 ℃. There was efficient separation of seven compounds, p-hydroxybenzylglucosinolate, benzylglucosinolate, N-benzyl-9Z,12Z,15Z-octadecatrienamid, N-benzyl-9Z,12Z-octadecadienamide, N-(3-methoxybenzyl)-hexadecanamide, N-benzyl-hexadecanamide, and N-benzyl-9Z-octadecenamide. The stan-dard calibration curves were good(R~2>0.999). The precision, stability and repeatability were also good. The linearity ranges were 0.197-4.980 µg·mL~(-1) to 193.67-796.8 µg·mL~(-1), and the average recovery rate was 96.71%-103.9%. The average concentration of glucosinolates and macamides in Maca were 1.20% and 0.20%, respectively. Among four kinds of Maca grown in China, the concentration of glucosinolates in yellow Maca and black Maca were relatively high(1.55%), followed by white Maca(0.93%), and purple Maca(0.76%). The concentration of macamides in yellow, purple and white Maca was similar(0.23%-0.29%), however black Maca had significantly lower concentration(0.15%). Peru Maca tested in this study had the lowest concentration of these compounds. This qua-lity evaluation method was fast, accurate, and comprehensively reflects the concentration of the main chemical components in Maca, which provides a useful reference for the quality control and evaluation of Maca.

RESUMO

Songling Xuemaikang Capsules is a Chinese patent medicine mainly made of the Chineses medicine Puerariae Lobatae Radix and leaves of Pinus massoniana. During its production, a large amount of herb extraction residues would be treated as wastes, resulting in resource wasting and serious environmental pollution. In order to solve this problem, we took the hydrolysates of Puerariae Lobatae Radix, P. massoniana leaves, and whole herb residues of Songling Xuemaikang Capsules as the fermentation substrate to explore the ability of Rhodosporidium toruloides to produce microbial lipid. The results showed that the R. toruloides could produce lipid with use of the residues from Songling Xuemaikang Capsules, and the lipid contents reached 33.6%. The lipid products had similar fatty acid composition profiles to those of vegetable oils. Herb residues were converted into fermentation substrates in this study, and were recycled into the production of high value-added compounds to realize the transformation of the wastes, laying the foundation for the sustainable utilization of herb residues.

RESUMO

The names, basic sources, medicinal parts, efficacy and standards of the medicinal materials in Euphorbiaceae were systematically collated and analyzed by the textual research for Yao medicine monographs in this paper. The results showed that there were great differences in the names, basic sources, medicinal parts and efficacy of some medicinal materials recorded in different literatures. There were 19 genera and 60 species(including varieties) of Euphorbiaceae of Yao medicine, involving 50 kinds of medicinal materials. Among them, there were 42 kinds of single basic sources medicine, 8 kinds of multi basic sources medicine, 28 kinds of root medicine, 26 kinds of whole plant medicine, 25 kinds of unique Yao medicine, accounting for 50%, 11 kinds of cross with Chinese medicinal materials, accounting for 22%. There were 21 kinds of Yao medicine standards at all levels, but only 1 kind of Laoban medicine and 2 kinds of Yao medicine standards. The Yao medicine in Euphorbiaceae could be named by means of transliteration of Yao language/Yao language transliteration/Chinese medicine name, Laoban medicine, plant morphology, medicinal properties, color and smell of medicine, while the medicinal parts and efficacy of the same medicinal name were different from those of traditional Chinese medicine. Therefore, the name and basic sources of the medicinal materials in Euphorbiaceae were not standardized, and the quality standard is not perfect. The above results provided a reference for the construction and improvement of quality standard system, the promotion of the production of medicinal materials and clinical medication standards, and the further development and utilization of Euphorbiaceae.
