RESUMO

The article deals with results of experimental study comparing effects of 4 types of acoustic load--noise (constant and impulse) and music (electronic symphonic one and rap)--on hearing sensitivity, processes in nervous system and subjective evaluation. All types of acoustic load were equal in energy (on evaluation according to equivalent level during the experiment). The study included 2 levels of load--90 and 95 dB. The differences revealed demonstrate importance of impulse parameters of noise and musical load for reactions of acoustic analyzer and central nervous system. The experiments show that evaluation of harm caused by temporary and impulse noises should be based not only on assessment of specific (hearing) function, but also on parameters of central nervous system state. The authors found that music of certain acoustic and informational parameters may harm hearing function.

RESUMO

The article is addressed to a broad range of experts and provides information on the design and serial production of a new device for automated measurements of energy-equivalent variable noise levels in combination with the phonometers produced both in the USSR and abroad. The technical characteristics of the device and description of its use are given, along with the tables of equivalent levels into the share dosage conversion and the conversion of the exposition levels into the share dosage for respective standards and hygienic norms-based values.

RESUMO

The contributors give a hygienic assessment of the overall noise load in Soviet Civil Aviation crews' labour conditions and propose an original technique for noise load measurements during the flight, including noise level measurements in the cabin, effectiveness of individual noise protection means, and measurements of noise resulting from individual radio communication devices. The communication devices are considered to bear major responsibility for noise load in modern aircraft crews. Conclusions are made with regard to the health related factors of noise load in off-flight state (when in the landing field) and off-duty conditions (at rest in airport hotels and recreation sites).

RESUMO

Women exposed to industrial noise were subjected to a one-stage overall examination. The levels and character of industrial noise, microclimate, labour tension and the scope of physical activity had been evaluated before. Altogether 1584 women aged 17-55 years were examined to form 4 groups to be compared. The prevalence of arterial hypertension (AH) was found to be slightly higher in women exposed to the noise 90-100 dBA. It was shown by the method of the purposeful pair matching that the probability of an increase in the incidence of AH under exposure to industrial noise in the absence of other risk factors is 1.1--=1.9%; when combined with one of the factors such as overweight, aggravated heredity or aggravated obstetrical-gynecological anamnesis it rises up to 15%.
