RESUMO

This work presents the first example of the utilization of polar ester group functionalized pillar[6]arene (P6A-C10-OAc) as a stationary phase for capillary gas chromatographic (GC) separations. The statically coated P6A-C10-OAc column showed a high column efficiency of 5393 plates/m and moderate polar nature. Its resolving capability and retention behaviors were investigated for a mixture of 20 analytes and more than a dozen isomers from apolar to polar in nature. As evidenced, the P6A-C10-OAc column achieved high-resolution separations of all the analytes and good inertness. Importantly, it exhibited distinctly advantageous performance for high resolution of the challenging isomers of xylenes, diethylbenzenes, ethyltoluenes, and halobenzenes over the commercial HP-5 (5% phenyl dimethyl polysiloxane), HP-35 (25% phenyl dimethyl polysiloxane), and PEG-20M (polyethylene glycol) columns.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the effect of interleukin-6 (IL-6) on the phagocytosis of MH-S alveolar macrophages and its related mechanisms. Methods A mouse acute lung injury (ALI) model was constructed by instilling lipopolysaccharide (LPS) into the airway. ELISA was used to detect the content of IL-6 in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF). In vitro cultured MH-S cells, in the presence or absence of signal transducer and activator 3 of transcription(STAT3) inhibitor Stattic (5 µmol/L), IL-6 (10 ng/mL~500 ng/mL) was added to stimulate for 6 hours, and then incubated with fluorescent microspheres for 2 hours. The phagocytosis of MH-S cells was detected by flow cytometry. Western blot analysis was used to detect the expression levels of phosphorylated Janus kinase 2 (p-JAK2), phosphorylated STAT3 (p-STAT3), actin-related protein 2 (Arp2) and filamentous actin (F-actin). Results The content of IL-6 in BALF was significantly increased after the mice were injected with LPS through the airway. With the increase of IL-6 stimulation concentration, the phagocytic function of MH-S cells was enhanced, and the expression levels of Arp2 and F-actin proteins in MH-S cells were increased. The expression levels of p-JAK2 and p-STAT3 proteins increased in MH-S cells stimulated with IL-6(100 ng/mL). After blocking STAT3 signaling, the effect of IL-6 in promoting phagocytosis of MH-S cells disappeared completely, and the increased expression of Arp2 and F-actin proteins in MH-S cells induced by IL-6 was also inhibited. Conclusion IL-6 promotes the expression of Arp2 and F-actin proteins by activating the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway, thereby enhancing the phagocytic function of MH-S cells.

RESUMO

Machine learning-assisted spectroscopy analysis faces a prominent constraint in the form of insufficient spectral samples, which hinders its effectiveness. Meanwhile, there is a lack of effective algorithms to simulate synthetic spectra from limited samples of real spectra for regression models in continuous scenarios. In this study, we introduced a continuous conditional generative adversarial network (CcGAN) to autonomously generate synthetic spectra. The labels employed for generating the spectral data can be arbitrarily selected from within the range of labels associated with the real spectral data. Our approach effectively produced spectra using a small spectral dataset obtained from a self-interference microring resonator (SIMRR)-based sensor. The generated synthetic spectra were subjected to evaluation using principal component analysis, revealing an inability to discern them from the real spectra. Finally, to enhance the DNN regression model, these synthetic spectra are incorporated into the original training dataset as an augmentation technique. The results demonstrate that the synthetic spectra generated by CcGAN exhibit exceptional quality and significantly enhance the predictive performance of the DNN model. In conclusion, CcGAN exhibits promising potential in generating high-quality synthetic spectra and delivers a superior data augmentation effect for regression tasks.

RESUMO

We describe the synthesis of periodic waveforms consisting of a train of pulses that are 0.83 cycles long and have an electric field pulse width of 0.44 fs using 7 Raman sidebands generated by molecular modulation in H2. We verify by optical correlation that the carrier-envelope phase is constant in these waveforms when they are synthesized from commensurate sidebands. The estimated overall shift of the carrier-envelope phase is less than 0.18 cycles from the first to the last pulse of nearly 10(6) pulses in the pulse train.
