The Genome Aggregation Database (gnomAD), widely recognized as the gold-standard reference map of human genetic variation, has largely overlooked tandem repeat (TR) expansions, despite the fact that TRs constitute ∼6% of our genome and are linked to over 50 human diseases. Here, we introduce the TR-gnomAD (https://wlcb.oit.uci.edu/TRgnomAD), a biobank-scale reference of 0.86 million TRs derived from 338,963 whole-genome sequencing (WGS) samples of diverse ancestries (39.5% non-European samples). TR-gnomAD offers critical insights into ancestry-specific disease prevalence using disparities in TR unit number frequencies among ancestries. Moreover, TR-gnomAD is able to differentiate between common, presumably benign TR expansions, which are prevalent in TR-gnomAD, from those potentially pathogenic TR expansions, which are found more frequently in disease groups than within TR-gnomAD. Together, TR-gnomAD is an invaluable resource for researchers and physicians to interpret TR expansions in individuals with genetic diseases.

BACKGROUND: Disorders/differences of sex development (DSD) are congenital conditions in which the development of chromosomal, gonadal, or anatomical sex is atypical. With overlapping phenotypes and multiple genes involved, poor diagnostic yields are achieved for many of these conditions. The current DSD diagnostic regimen can be augmented by investigating transcriptome/proteome in vivo, but it is hampered by the unavailability of affected gonadal tissue at the relevant developmental stage. We try to mitigate this limitation by reprogramming readily available skin tissue-derived dermal fibroblasts into Sertoli cells (SC), which could then be deployed for different diagnostic strategies. SCs form the target cell type of choice because they act like an organizing center of embryonic gonadal development and many DSD arise when these developmental processes go awry. METHODS: We employed a computational predictive algorithm for cell conversions called Mogrify to predict the transcription factors (TFs) required for direct reprogramming of human dermal fibroblasts into SCs. We established trans-differentiation culture conditions where stable transgenic expression of these TFs was achieved in 46, XY adult dermal fibroblasts using lentiviral vectors. The resulting Sertoli like cells (SLCs) were validated for SC phenotype using several approaches. RESULTS: SLCs exhibited Sertoli-like morphological and cellular properties as revealed by morphometry and xCelligence cell behavior assays. They also showed Sertoli-specific expression of molecular markers such as SOX9, PTGDS, BMP4, or DMRT1 as revealed by IF imaging, RNAseq and qPCR. The SLC transcriptome shared about two thirds of its differentially expressed genes with a human adult SC transcriptome and expressed markers typical of embryonic SCs. Notably, SLCs lacked expression of most markers of other gonadal cell types such as Leydig, germ, peritubular myoid or granulosa cells. CONCLUSIONS: The trans-differentiation method was applied to a variety of commercially available 46, XY fibroblasts derived from patients with DSD and to a 46, XX cell line. The DSD SLCs displayed altered levels of trans-differentiation in comparison to normal 46, XY-derived SLCs, thus showcasing the robustness of this new trans-differentiation model. Future applications could include using the SLCs to improve definitive diagnosis of DSD in patients with variants of unknown significance.


Individuals with disorders/differences of sex development (DSD) frequently do not get a specific genetic diagnostic. A limitation in the field is that the relevant cell types that would be needed to study the molecular events occurring at the time of onset of many DSD are found in the embryonic gonad. This, of course, is not accessible for research or diagnostic purposes. We set out to develop a method for directly transforming more accessible cells, from adult skin, into the cells known to organize the male gonad in the embryo, Sertoli cells. A combination of unique transcription factors was stably integrated into skin fibroblasts, and culture under appropriate conditions allowed differentiation into Sertoli-like cells (SLC), but not other gonadal cell types. The SLCs recapitulated known patterns of gene expression, shape, and behavior of Sertoli cells. The method was also tested on commercially available fibroblasts from a variety of DSD genetic backgrounds. The resulting cells exhibited condition-specific behavior (gene expression, adhesion to substrate, division rate…). This method provides a new tool to study molecular events occurring at the time of onset of DSD in the embryonic gonad, and the impact of patient-specific mutations on those. It could allow identification of new developmental pathways (and, thus, new candidate genes for DSD), as well as a provide models to validate the impact of variants of unknown significance, or to test approaches to correct the genetic anomaly in patient cells.

BACKGROUND: In the last 15 years, the care provided for individuals born with differences of sex development (DSD) has evolved, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches. However, these developments have not convinced some stakeholders to embrace the current model of care. This care model has also paid insufficient attention to socio-cultural differences and global inequalities. SUMMARY: This article is an opinion statement, resulting from in-depth discussions and reflection among clinicians, patients, and family support organizations based in the US and Europe, where we seek areas of common ground and try to identify opportunities to further develop resources. The product of these conversations is summarized in 10 panels. The corresponding sections provide additional discussion on some of the panel items. KEY MESSAGES: Participants identified areas of agreement and gained a deeper understanding of the reasons behind disagreements on certain matters and identified the necessary steps to foster future consensus. We offer preliminary recommendations for guiding clinical management and resource allocation. By promoting a broader consensus, we aim to enhance the quality of care and well-being for individuals of all ages who have a DSD.

OBJECTIVE: We implemented a chatbot consent tool to shift the time burden from study staff in support of a national genomics research study. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We created an Institutional Review Board-approved script for automated chat-based consent. We compared data from prospective participants who used the tool or had traditional consent conversations with study staff. RESULTS: Chat-based consent, completed on a user's schedule, was shorter than the traditional conversation. This did not lead to a significant change in affirmative consents. Within affirmative consents and declines, more prospective participants completed the chat-based process. A quiz to assess chat-based consent user understanding had a high pass rate with no reported negative experiences. CONCLUSION: Our report shows that a structured script can convey important information while realizing the benefits of automation and burden shifting. Analysis suggests that it may be advantageous to use chatbots to scale this rate-limiting step in large research projects.

Background: The utility of long-read genome sequencing platforms has been shown in many fields including whole genome assembly, metagenomics, and amplicon sequencing. Less clear is the applicability of long reads to reference-guided human genomics, which is the foundation of genomic medicine. Here, we benchmark available platform-agnostic alignment tools on datasets from nanopore and single-molecule real-time platforms to understand their suitability in producing a genome representation. Results: For this study, we leveraged publicly-available data from sample NA12878 generated on Oxford Nanopore and sample NA24385 on Pacific Biosciences platforms. We employed state of the art sequence alignment tools including GraphMap2, long-read aligner (LRA), Minimap2, CoNvex Gap-cost alignMents for Long Reads (NGMLR), and Winnowmap2. Minimap2 and Winnowmap2 were computationally lightweight enough for use at scale, while GraphMap2 was not. NGMLR took a long time and required many resources, but produced alignments each time. LRA was fast, but only worked on Pacific Biosciences data. Each tool widely disagreed on which reads to leave unaligned, affecting the end genome coverage and the number of discoverable breakpoints. No alignment tool independently resolved all large structural variants (1,001-100,000 base pairs) present in the Database of Genome Variants (DGV) for sample NA12878 or the truthset for NA24385. Conclusions: These results suggest a combined approach is needed for LRS alignments for human genomics. Specifically, leveraging alignments from three tools will be more effective in generating a complete picture of genomic variability. It should be best practice to use an analysis pipeline that generates alignments with both Minimap2 and Winnowmap2 as they are lightweight and yield different views of the genome. Depending on the question at hand, the data available, and the time constraints, NGMLR and LRA are good options for a third tool. If computational resources and time are not a factor for a given case or experiment, NGMLR will provide another view, and another chance to resolve a case. LRA, while fast, did not work on the nanopore data for our cluster, but PacBio results were promising in that those computations completed faster than Minimap2. Due to its significant burden on computational resources and slow run time, Graphmap2 is not an ideal tool for exploration of a whole human genome generated on a long-read sequencing platform.

BACKGROUND: During gestation, stressors to the fetus, including viral exposure or maternal psychological distress, can fundamentally alter the neonatal epigenome, and may be associated with long-term impaired developmental outcomes. The impact of in utero exposure to the COVID-19 pandemic on the newborn epigenome has yet to be described. METHODS: This study aimed to determine whether there are unique epigenetic signatures in newborns who experienced otherwise healthy pregnancies that occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic (Project RESCUE). The pre-pandemic control and pandemic cohorts (Project RESCUE) included in this study are part of a prospective observational and longitudinal cohort study that evaluates the impact of elevated prenatal maternal stress during the COVID-19 pandemic on early childhood neurodevelopment. Using buccal swabs collected at birth, differential DNA methylation analysis was performed using the Infinium MethylationEPIC arrays and linear regression analysis. Pathway analysis and gene ontology enrichment were performed on resultant gene lists. RESULTS: Widespread differential methylation was found between neonates exposed in utero to the pandemic and pre-pandemic neonates. In contrast, there were no apparent epigenetic differences associated with maternal COVID-19 infection during pregnancy. Differential methylation was observed among genomic sites that underpin important neurological pathways that have been previously reported in the literature to be differentially methylated because of prenatal stress, such as NR3C1. CONCLUSIONS: The present study reveals potential associations between exposure to the COVID-19 pandemic during pregnancy and subsequent changes in the newborn epigenome. While this finding warrants further investigation, it is a point that should be considered in any study assessing newborn DNA methylation studies obtained during this period, even in otherwise healthy pregnancies.

We evaluated the diagnostic yield using genome-slice panel reanalysis in the clinical setting using an automated phenotype/gene ranking system. We analyzed whole genome sequencing (WGS) data produced from clinically ordered panels built as bioinformatic slices for 16 clinically diverse, undiagnosed cases referred to the Pediatric Mendelian Genomics Research Center, an NHGRI-funded GREGoR Consortium site. Genome-wide reanalysis was performed using Moon™, a machine-learning-based tool for variant prioritization. In five out of 16 cases, we discovered a potentially clinically significant variant. In four of these cases, the variant was found in a gene not included in the original panel due to phenotypic expansion of a disorder or incomplete initial phenotyping of the patient. In the fifth case, the gene containing the variant was included in the original panel, but being a complex structural rearrangement with intronic breakpoints outside the clinically analyzed regions, it was not initially identified. Automated genome-wide reanalysis of clinical WGS data generated during targeted panels testing yielded a 25% increase in diagnostic findings and a possibly clinically relevant finding in one additional case, underscoring the added value of analyses versus those routinely performed in the clinical setting.

The molecular characteristics of pediatric brain tumors have not only allowed for tumor subgrouping but have led to the introduction of novel treatment options for patients with specific tumor alterations. Therefore, an accurate histologic and molecular diagnosis is critical for optimized management of all pediatric patients with brain tumors, including central nervous system embryonal tumors. We present a case where optical genome mapping identified a ZNF532::NUTM1 fusion in a patient with a unique tumor best characterized histologically as a central nervous system embryonal tumor with rhabdoid features. Additional analyses including immunohistochemistry for NUT protein, methylation array, whole genome, and RNA-sequencing was done to confirm the presence of the fusion in the tumor. This is the first description of a pediatric patient with a ZNF532::NUTM1 fusion, yet the histology of this tumor is similar to that of adult cancers with ZNF::NUTM1 fusions reported in the literature. Although rare, the distinct pathology and underlying molecular characteristics of the ZNF532::NUTM1 tumor separates this from other embryonal tumors. Therefore, screening for this or similar NUTM1 rearrangements should be considered for all patients with unclassified central nervous system tumors with rhabdoid features to ensure accurate diagnosis. Ultimately, with additional cases, we may be able to better inform therapeutic management for these patients. © 2023 The Pathological Society of Great Britain and Ireland.

Objective: To conduct a retrospective analysis comparing traditional human-based consenting to an automated chat-based consenting process. Materials and Methods: We developed a new chat-based consent using our IRB-approved consent forms. We leveraged a previously developed platform (GiaⓇ, or "Genetic Information Assistant") to deliver the chat content to candidate participants. The content included information about the study, educational information, and a quiz to assess understanding. We analyzed 144 families referred to our study during a 6-month time period. A total of 37 families completed consent using the traditional process, while 35 families completed consent using Gia. Results: Engagement rates were similar between both consenting methods. The median length of the consent conversation was shorter for Gia users compared to traditional (44 vs. 76 minutes). Additionally, the total time from referral to consent completion was faster with Gia (5 vs. 16 days). Within Gia, understanding was assessed with a 10-question quiz that most participants (96%) passed. Feedback about the chat consent indicated that 86% of participants had a positive experience. Discussion: Using Gia resulted in time savings for both the participant and study staff. The chatbot enables studies to reach more potential candidates. We identified five key features related to human-centered design for developing a consent chat. Conclusion: This analysis suggests that it is feasible to use an automated chatbot to scale obtaining informed consent for a genomics research study. We further identify a number of advantages when using a chatbot.

OBJECTIVE: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is significantly over-represented among transgender adolescents. Independently, ASD and gender diversity are associated with increased mental health risks. Yet, mental health in autistic-transgender adolescents is poorly understood. This study investigates mental health in the largest matched sample to date of autistic-transgender, non-autistic (allistic) transgender, and autistic-cisgender adolescents diagnosed using gold-standard ASD diagnostic procedures. In accordance with advancing understanding of sex/gender-related autism phenotypes, slightly subthreshold autistic diagnostic presentations (common in autistic girls/women) are modeled. METHOD: This study includes 93 adolescents aged 13-21, evenly divided between autistic-transgender, autistic-cisgender, and allistic-transgender groups; 13 transgender adolescents were at the margin of ASD diagnosis and included within a larger "broad-ASD" grouping. Psychological and neuropsychological evaluation included assessment of mental health, IQ, LGBT stigma, ASD-related social symptoms, executive functioning (EF), and EF-related barriers to achieving gender-related needs. RESULTS: Autistic-transgender adolescents experienced significantly greater internalizing symptoms compared to allistic-transgender and autistic-cisgender groups. In addition to stigma-related associations with mental health, ASD-related cognitive/neurodevelopmental factors (i.e., poorer EF and greater social symptoms) were associated with worse mental health: specifically, social symptoms and EF gender barriers with greater internalizing and EF problems and EF gender barriers with greater suicidality. Comparing across all ASD and gender-related groups, female gender identity was associated with greater suicidality. CONCLUSIONS: Parsing the heterogeneity of mental health risks among transgender youth is critical for developing targeted assessments and interventions. This study identifies ASD diagnosis, ASD phenotypic characteristics, and EF-related gender barriers as potential risks for poorer mental health in transgender adolescents.

Konzo, a disease characterized by sudden, irreversible spastic paraparesis, affecting up to 10% of the population in some regions of Sub-Saharan Africa during outbreaks, is strongly associated with dietary exposure to cyanogenic bitter cassava. The molecular mechanisms underlying the development of konzo remain largely unknown. Here, through an analysis of 16 individuals with konzo and matched healthy controls from the same outbreak zones, we identified 117 differentially methylated loci involved in numerous biological processes that may identify cyanogenic-sensitive regions of the genome, providing the first study of epigenomic alterations associated with a clinical phenotype of konzo.

The sheep is a valuable model to test whether hormone mechanisms that sexually differentiate the brain underlie the expression of sexual partner preferences because as many as 8% of rams prefer same-sex partners. Epigenetic factors such as DNA methylation act as mediators in the interaction between steroid hormones and the genome. Variations in the epigenome could be important in determining morphological or behavior differences among individuals of the same species. In this study, we explored DNA methylation differences in the hypothalamus of male oriented rams (MORs) and female oriented rams (FORs). We employed reduced representation bisulfite sequencing (RRBS) to generate a genome-wide map of DNA methylation and RNA-Seq to profile the transcriptome. We found substantial DNA methylation and gene expression differences between FORs and MORs. Although none of the differentially methylated genes yielded significant functional terms directly associated with sex development, three differentially expressed genes were identified that have been associated previously with sexual behaviors. We hypothesize that these differences are involved in the phenotypic variation in ram sexual partner preferences, whereas future studies will have to find the specific mechanisms. Our results add an intriguing new dimension to sheep behavior that should be useful for further understanding epigenetic and transcriptomic involvement.

Executive function (EF) underlies broad health and adaptive outcomes. For transgender youth, navigating gender discernment and gender affirmation demand EF. Yet, factors associated with transgender youth EF are unknown. We investigate hypothesized predictors of EF: over-represented conditions among transgender youth (anxiety and depression symptoms, autism spectrum disorder [ASD]) and gender-affirming care. One-hundred twenty-four transgender 11-21-year-olds participated. Parents/caregivers completed EF and mental health report measures. ASD diagnostics and gender-affirming medication histories were collected. 21 % of non-autistic and 69 % of autistic transgender youth had clinically elevated EF problems. Membership in the gender-affirming hormone treatment group was associated with better EF. ASD, anxiety symptoms, and membership in the long-duration pubertal suppression group were associated with poorer EF. Given the importance of EF skills for multiple outcomes, and the unique and additional EF demands specific to transgender youths' experiences, EF skill monitoring-and when appropriate, supports-should be considered for transgender youth.

BACKGROUND: The aims of this study were to analyze the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and its subsequent confinement on behaviors, perception of threat, stress, state of mind and training patterns among Olympic and Paralympic level athletes. METHODS: Data gathering was performed utilizing an online questionnaire during imposed confinement. A correlational design with incidental sampling for convenience was used. All the variables were analyzed by age, gender, academic training, type of participation and sport specialty on a population composed of 447 Olympic (age: 26.0 ± 7.5 years) and 64 Paralympic (age: 28.4 ± 10.5 years) athletes. RESULTS: The athletes trained more than twice as many hours before than during confinement. Most of the athletes recognized that their best athletic performance diminished due to the COVID-19 confinement but that will recover after the pandemic and its confinements. Almost half of the athletes declared they were more tired than normal and had difficulty sleeping, while more than half ate more or less as usual. Paralympic athletes reported they felt more capable to cope with personal problems and life events and felt less lonely during the confinement than the Olympians. The athletes from team sports reported to be more affected in their training routine than athletes of individual sports, seeing their athletic performance more affected. Athletes in individual sports felt more able to cope with personal problems than athletes in team sports. Female athletes were significantly more tired and reported more difficulty sleeping than male athletes. CONCLUSION: The situation caused by COVID-19 has had significant effects on the behavior, perception of threat, stress and training patterns of Olympic and Paralympic athletes preparing for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. It is necessary that sports institutions reinforce mechanisms of help for athletes during future situations of confinement.

Recently, the so-called Semenya case has brought the problem of gender in sports competitions back into the spotlight. But the fact is that it is not a unique case; rather, it seems a recurrent and inconclusive problem in the history of sports. In this context, the Spanish athlete Martínez-Patiño is an important figure in the history of sport and gender verification, as well as the Indian sprinter Dutee Chand. Martínez-Patiño's story thus serves as an important case study of the gender-based anxieties that hampered women's advancement in track and field. Martínez-Patiño's experience in Spanish athletics demonstrates the difficulties women faced when attempting to compete in track and field, both in Spain and internationally. Moreover, her experience with gender policies shows the inadequacies of the chromosomal check as a sex marker, as well as the harms caused by the technique. Finally, Martínez-Patiño's protest of the International Association of Athletics Federations' policy started to dismantle compulsory sex verification used as a criterion for gender eligibility. The publicity surrounding her case pushed the track and field federation to abandon mandatory, on-site testing in 1992. Seven years later, the International Olympic Committee also dropped its compulsory control. Martínez-Patiño became the face of the fight against sex/gender verification in sport and helped dismantle the practice. The case of Martinez-Patiño remains in the collective memory of elite sports and serves as an argument for national and international sporting institutions to reconsider discriminating policies in the context of progress being made for women's rights.

Konzo, a distinct upper motor neuron disease associated with a cyanogenic diet and chronic malnutrition, predominately affects children and women of childbearing age in sub-Saharan Africa. While the exact biological mechanisms that cause this disease have largely remained elusive, host-genetics and environmental components such as the gut microbiome have been implicated. Using a large study population of 180 individuals from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where konzo is most frequent, we investigate how the structure of the gut microbiome varied across geographical contexts, as well as provide the first insight into the gut flora of children affected with this debilitating disease using shotgun metagenomic sequencing. Our findings indicate that the gut microbiome structure is highly variable depending on region of sampling, but most interestingly, we identify unique enrichments of bacterial species and functional pathways that potentially modulate the susceptibility of konzo in prone regions of the Congo.

MOTIVATION: While promoter methylation is associated with reinforcing fundamental tissue identities, the methylation status of distant enhancers was shown by genome-wide association studies to be a powerful determinant of cell-state and cancer. With recent availability of long reads that report on the methylation status of enhancer-promoter pairs on the same molecule, we hypothesized that probing these pairs on the single-molecule level may serve the basis for detection of rare cancerous transformations in a given cell population. We explore various analysis approaches for deconvolving cell-type mixtures based on their genome-wide enhancer-promoter methylation profiles. RESULTS: To evaluate our hypothesis we examine long-read optical methylome data for the GM12878 cell line and myoblast cell lines from two donors. We identified over 100 000 enhancer-promoter pairs that co-exist on at least 30 individual DNA molecules. We developed a detailed methodology for mixture deconvolution and applied it to estimate the proportional cell compositions in synthetic mixtures. Analysis of promoter methylation, as well as enhancer-promoter pairwise methylation, resulted in very accurate estimates. In addition, we show that pairwise methylation analysis can be generalized from deconvolving different cell types to subtle scenarios where one wishes to resolve different cell populations of the same cell-type. OBJECTIVE: To assess demographic, clinical, and biomarker features distinguishing patients with multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C); compare MIS-C sub-phenotypes; identify cytokine biosignatures; and characterize viral genome sequences. STUDY DESIGN: We performed a prospective observational cohort study of 124 children hospitalized and treated under the institutional MIS-C Task Force protocol from March to September 2020 at Children's National, a quaternary freestanding children's hospital in Washington, DC. Of this cohort, 63 of the patients had the diagnosis of MIS-C (39 confirmed, 24 probable) and 61 were from the same cohort of admitted patients who subsequently had an alternative diagnosis (controls). RESULTS: Median age and sex were similar between MIS-C and controls. Black (46%) and Latino (35%) children were over-represented in the MIS-C cohort, with Black children at greatest risk (OR 4.62, 95% CI 1.151-14.10; P = .007). Cardiac complications were more frequent in critically ill patients with MIS-C (55% vs 28%; P = .04) including systolic myocardial dysfunction (39% vs 3%; P = .001) and valvular regurgitation (33% vs 7%; P = .01). Median cycle threshold was 31.8 (27.95-35.1 IQR) in MIS-C cases, significantly greater (indicating lower viral load) than in primary severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection. Cytokines soluble interleukin 2 receptor, interleukin [IL]-10, and IL-6 were greater in patients with MIS-C compared with controls. Cytokine analysis revealed subphenotype differences between critically ill vs noncritically ill (IL-2, soluble interleukin 2 receptor, IL-10, IL-6); polymerase chain reaction positive vs negative (tumor necrosis factor-α, IL-10, IL-6); and presence vs absence of cardiac abnormalities (IL-17). Phylogenetic analysis of viral genome sequences revealed predominance of GH clade originating in Europe, with no differences comparing patients with MIS-C with patients with primary coronavirus disease 19. Treatment was well tolerated, and no children died. CONCLUSIONS: This study establishes a well-characterized large cohort of MIS-C evaluated and treated following a standardized protocol and identifies key clinical, biomarker, cytokine, viral load, and sequencing features. Long-term follow-up will provide opportunity for future insights into MIS-C and its sequelae.

Down syndrome is one of the most common chromosomal anomalies affecting the world's population, with an estimated frequency of 1 in 700 live births. Despite its relatively high prevalence, diagnostic rates based on clinical features have remained under 70% for most of the developed world and even lower in countries with limited resources. While genetic and cytogenetic confirmation greatly increases the diagnostic rate, such resources are often non-existent in many low- and middle-income countries, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. To address the needs of countries with limited resources, the implementation of mobile, user-friendly and affordable technologies that aid in diagnosis would greatly increase the odds of success for a child born with a genetic condition. Given that the Democratic Republic of the Congo is estimated to have one of the highest rates of birth defects in the world, our team sought to determine if smartphone-based facial analysis technology could accurately detect Down syndrome in individuals of Congolese descent. Prior to technology training, we confirmed the presence of trisomy 21 using low-cost genomic applications that do not need advanced expertise to utilize and are available in many low-resourced countries. Our software technology trained on 132 Congolese subjects had a significantly improved performance (91.67% accuracy, 95.45% sensitivity, 87.88% specificity) when compared to previous technology trained on individuals who are not of Congolese origin (p < 5%). In addition, we provide the list of most discriminative facial features of Down syndrome and their ranges in the Congolese population. Collectively, our technology provides low-cost and accurate diagnosis of Down syndrome in the local population.
