RESUMO

Heating requirements for residential and commercial dwellings result in significant energy consumption and deleterious environmental effects. Personal radiative thermal management textiles regulate the wearer's body temperature by controlling the material's intrinsic optical properties. Passive heating textiles suppress radiative heat losses and therefore significantly reduce the energy consumption required for building heating systems. Guided by an optical theoretical approach, a transparent radiation shield (TRS) is designed based on silver nanowires (AgNWs) that can suppress human body heat with simultaneous visible light transmittance anticipated for practical fabrics. We experimentally demonstrated a TRS with large infrared light reflectance (low emissivity of 35%) and a visible (VIS) transparency value of 75% (400-800 nm). The results are well corroborated by the Mie scattering theory and the wire-mesh equivalent sheet impedance model, which provide fundamental mechanism understanding and guidance toward higher performance. The TRS is fabricated by a simple, solution-processing method with thermoplastic elastomer protective layers, granting notable stretching capabilities, mechanical robustness, and conformability to any body shape or object. The rigorous theoretical strategy enables the scalable synthesis of low-emissivity and visibly transparent textiles for personal thermal comfort.

Osteosarcoma (OS) is a highly malignant tumor, and chemotherapy resistance suggests poor prognosis in OS patients. In this study, the authors discovered that miR-9 has a pro-angiogenic role in OS. The anti-angiogenic effects of cisplatin were greatly increased when miR-9 was suppressed in OS. In addition, the authors demonstrated that miR-9 plays a pro-angiogenic role by targeting apoptosis-inducing factor 1 (APE1) in OS. Importantly, our in vivo experiments showed that inhibition of miR-9 combined with cisplatin could suppress xenograft tumor growth by targeting APE1 and decreasing angiogenesis in OS. In summary, our results suggest that miR-9 plays a role as a tumor promoter, and inhibiting miR-9 and APE1 is a new strategy for inhibiting OS angiogenesis and chemotherapy resistance.

Cadmium (Cd) pollution has been a significant concern in heavy metal pollution, prompting plants to adopt various strategies to mitigate its damage. While the response of plants to Cd stress and the impact of exogenous melatonin has received considerable attention, there has been limited focus on the responses of closely related species to these factors. Consequently, our investigation aimed to explore the response of three different species of rape to Cd stress and examine the influence of exogenous melatonin in this scenario. The research findings revealed distinctive responses among the investigated rape species. B. campestris showed the resistance to Cd and exhibited lower Cd absorption and sustained its physiological activity under Cd stress. In contrast, B. juncea accumulated much Cd and increased the amount of anthocyanin to mitigate the Cd-damage. Furthermore, B. napus showed the tolerance to Cd and tended to accumulate Cd in vacuoles under Cd stress, thereby decreasing the Cd damage and leading to higher activity of antioxidant enzymes and photosynthesis. Moreover, the application of exogenous melatonin significantly elevated the melatonin level in plants and mitigated Cd toxicity by promoting the activity of antioxidant enzymes, reducing Cd absorption, enhancing the chelating capacity with Cd, decreasing Cd accumulation in organelles, and reducing its fluidity. Specifically, exogenous melatonin increased the FHAc content in B. campestris, elevated the phytochelatins (PCs) level in B. napus, and stimulated photosynthesis in B. juncea. In summary, the findings underscore the species-specific responses of the three species of rape to both Cd stress and exogenous melatonin, highlighting the potential for tailored mitigation strategies based on the unique characteristics of each species.

The development of the proton exchange membrane water electrolyzer (PEMWE) is still limited by the prohibitive cost and scarcity of iridium (Ir)-based oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalyst. This work presents a novel catalyst synthesized by precursor-atomization and rapid joule-heating method, successfully doping iridium atoms into polyvalent tungsten blends (W0 , W5+ , W6+ ) based on titanium substrate. The vacancy engineering of unsaturated tungsten oxide (W5+ , W6+ ) reconstructs the electronic structure of the catalyst surface, which resulting in the low-valence state iridium species, avoiding excessive oxidation of iridium and accelerating the catalytic kinetics. Meanwhile, metallic tungsten (W0 ) improves the conductivity of catalyst and guarantees the stable existence of oxygen vacancy. The TiIrWOx possesses excellent performance in acidic OER catalysis, requiring overpotential of only 181 mV to drive 10.0 mA cm-2 , and exhibiting a high mass activity of 753 A gIr -1 at an overpotential of 300 mV. The membrane electrode assembly (MEA) with TiIrWOx as anode electrocatalyst can reduce the Ir consumption amount by >60% compared to commercial IrO2 , and it can operated over 120 h at a current density of 1.0 A cm-2 .

Background: Azvudine and nirmatrelvir/ritonavir are approved to treat mild-to-moderate coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in adults with a high risk for progression to severe infection. We sought to compare the antiviral effectiveness and clinical outcomes of elderly severe patients with COVID-19 receiving these two antiviral agents. Methods: In this observational study, we identified 249 elderly patients with severe COVID-19 infection who were admitted to the Second Medical Center of the People's Liberation Army General Hospital from December 2022 to January 2023, including 128 azvudine recipients, 66 nirmatrelvir/ritonavir recipients and 55 patients not received antiviral treatments. We compared the cycle threshold (Ct) value dynamic change of all three groups. The primary outcome was a composite outcome of disease progression, including all-cause death, intensive care unit admission, and initiation of invasive mechanical ventilation. The outcomes of all enrolled patients were followed up from the electronic medical record system. Kaplan-Meier and Cox risk proportional regression analyses were used to compare the clinical outcomes of all three groups. To more directly compare the effectiveness of the two antiviral drugs, we performed propensity-score matching between the two antiviral groups and compared antiviral efficacy and clinical outcomes in the matched population. Findings: Among 249 patients (mean age, 91.41 years), 77 patients died during the follow-up period. When compared to patients who did not receive any antivirals, neither nirmatrelvir/ritonavir nor azvudine demonstrated a survival benefit. The Cox analysis of the all-cause death of the three groups showed that the risk of death was 0.730 (0.423-1.262) in the azvudine group 0.802 (0.435-1.480) and in the nirmatrelvir/ritonavir group compared with the non-antiviral group. After propensity score matching, we included 58 azvudine recipients and 58 nirmatrelvir/ritonavir recipients. The fitted curve of the Ct value after matching illustrated that the rate of viral decline in the early stage of nirmatrelvir/ritonavir treatment seems to surpass that of azvudine, but there was no statistical significance. Azvudine was seemly associated with a lower risk of composite outcomes (HR:1.676, 95% CI:0.805-3.488) and short-term all-cause death (HR: 1.291, 95%CI: 0.546-3.051). Interpretation: Patients who received azvudine have a similar antiviral effectiveness and survival curve trend compared to nirmatrelvir/ritonavir. In this limited series, antiviral treatment was not associated with a significant clinical benefit. This lack of clinical benefit might be attributed to potential bias. This study aimed to assess the impact of microbial agent and different compost material, on physicochemical parameters dynamic change, nitrogen-transfer gene/bacterial community interaction network during the pig manure composting. Incorporating a microbial agent into rice straw-mushroom compost reduced the NH3 and total ammonia emissions by 25.52 % and 14.41 %, respectively. Notably, rice straw-mushroom with a microbial agent reduced the total ammonia emissions by 37.67 %. NH4+-N and pH emerged as primary factors of phylum-level and genus-level microorganisms. Microbial agent increased the expression of narG, nirK, and nosZ genes. Rice straw-mushroom elevated the content of amoA, nirK, nirS, and nosZ genes. Alcanivorax, Luteimonas, Pusillimonas, Lactobacillus, Aequorivita, Clostridium, Moheibacter and Truepera were identified as eight core microbial genera during the nitrogen conversion process. This study provides a strategy for reducing ammonia emissions and analyzes the potential mechanisms underlying compost processes.

Osteoporosis, one of the serious public health problems worldwide, can lead to degeneration of the bone structure and increased risk of fractures. Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is a natural product with potential efficacy in inhibiting bone loss. However, the specific mechanism remains unclear. This study first investigated the role of EGCG in preventing dexamethasone (DEX)-induced osteoporosis by regulating intestinal microbiota and serum metabolites. We detected the bone density, bone microstructure, and changes in intestinal microorganisms and serum metabolites. According to our results, EGCG inhibited the decline of bone density, protected the bone microstructure, increased microbial diversity, promoted the abundance of beneficial bacteria such as Prevotellaceae and Ruminococcus, and inhibited the abundance of pathogenic bacteria such as Peptostreptococcaceae. There were also significant changes in serum metabolites among different treatments. Differential metabolites were mainly involved in sphingolipid metabolism and glycerophospholipid metabolism pathways, especially ceramide (d18:0/16:0(2OH)), phosphatidylserine (P-20:0/20:4(5Z,8Z,11Z,14Z)), phosphatidylserine (18:2(9Z,12Z)/12:0), and phosphatidylethanolamine (O-16:0/0:00), which were increased after EGCG treatment. Notably, most of the above metabolites were positively correlated with bone mineral density, BV/TV and Tb·Th, and negatively correlated with Tb·Sp. In summary, EGCG can prevent bone damage, promote the production of beneficial bacteria and metabolites, and enhance immune function. This study provides a basis and reference for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, as well as the application of EGCG in maintaining body health.

Osteoporosis is a common metabolic disease in middle-aged and elderly people. It is characterized by a reduction in bone mass, compromised bone microstructure, heightened bone fragility, and an increased susceptibility to fractures. The dynamic imbalance between osteoblast and osteoclast populations is a decisive factor in the occurrence of osteoporosis. With the increase in the elderly population in society, the incidence of osteoporosis, disability, and mortality have gradually increased. Polyphenols are a fascinating class of compounds that are found in both food and medicine and exhibit a variety of biological activities with significant health benefits. As a component of food, polyphenols not only provide color, flavor, and aroma but also act as potent antioxidants, protecting our cells from oxidative stress and reducing the risk of chronic disease. Moreover, these natural compounds exhibit anti-inflammatory properties, which aid in immune response regulation and potentially alleviate symptoms of diverse ailments. The gut microbiota can degrade polyphenols into more absorbable metabolites, thereby increasing their bioavailability. Polyphenols can also shape the gut microbiota and increase its abundance. Therefore, studying the synergistic effect between gut microbiota and polyphenols may help in the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis. By delving into how gut microbiota can enhance the bioavailability of polyphenols and how polyphenols can shape the gut microbiota and increase its abundance, this review offers valuable information and references for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis.

The new low-cost clean pre-desulfation technology is very important in pyrometallurgy and hydrometallurgy. However, traditional reactors have low space-time yield and desulfation rate, resulting in high energy consumption and SO2 emissions in the industrial desulfation processes. Herein, dual rotating liquid film reactors (RLFRs) and lime are proposed to construct a recyclable, ultra-fast, and value-added desulfation method. Parameter optimization and kinetic calculations prove that the above reactions are controlled by internal diffusion, revealing that RLFR promotes the mass transfer and reaction rate. The new process greatly shortens the desulfation time of lead paste from 40 min to 10 s with a high desulfation rate of 99.7%, and the sulfation time of lime from 30 min to 30 s with a sulfation rate of 98.6% with a net profit of 55.99 ¥/ton by cost accounting. Moreover, ten batches of continuous scale-up experiments demonstrate the stability of processes, the desulfation and sulfation rates are kept at 99.7% and 98.2%, which greatly reduces the emissions of waste desulfate liquor. This work provides a new universal strategy for a sustainable, low-cost, and clean desulfation method of waste resources to achieve technical and economic feasibility.

Background: C-reactive protein (CRP) is an inflammatory marker of great significance for progression and prognosis of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). However, previous studies reported the inconsistent findings of the relationship between CRP levels and survival in DLBCL patients. This meta-analysis was performed to investigate the predictive value of baseline CRP in the prognosis of DLBCL. Methods: Relevant studies on baseline CRP and prognosis of DLBCL were searched from PubMed, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform, and other databases. The search time was from establishment of the database to December 2022. The studies that reported the baseline CRP level, DLBCL confirmed by pathology, data on the relationship between CRP and overall survival (OS) or progression-free survival (PFS), and published in English or Chinese were included in this meta-analysis. No evidence showed the risk of bias of the included studies. Random-effects meta-analysis were conducted to calculate hazard ratio (HR). Stata15.0 software was used for the meta-analysis. Results: A total of 11 studies with 2,314 patients were included. All included studies were of high quality. The result of prognosis in patients with CRP and DLBCL was HR =2.48 [95% confidence interval (CI): 1.52 to 4.07]. The subgroup analysis showed that the risk of death was higher in both groups (HR =2.58, 95% CI: 2.10 to 3.18, random effects model I2=39.7%). There was a significant difference between group 1 and group 2 (P=0.000). Conclusions: Current evidence suggests that baseline CRP is a potential predictor of DLBCL patients and has potential prognostic value in clinical practice, improving the survival rate and quality of life of DLBCL patients. Additionally, OS appears to be strongly influenced by potential country specific differences, which may be related to racial differences and specific lifestyles.

From the aerobic pond of the farm, the Pseudomonas sp. G16 was screened and isolated, which was confirmed to exhibit heterotrophic nitrification and aerobic denitrification. The removal rates of Ammonia (100 mg/L), nitrate (120 mg/L), and nitrite (100 mg/L) by the strain were 94.13%, 92.62%, and 85.67%, and the nitrogen metabolism pathway of strain G16 was analyzed by whole genome sequencing combined with its nitrification-denitrification intermediate products, it was found that the strain had independent nitrification-denitrification ability and no nitrite accumulation. Under the conditions of carbon source of sodium succinate hexahydrate, C/N ratio of 15, pH of 7.5, temperature of 15 °C, and DO of 210 rpm, strain G16 showed excellent denitrification performance. Strain G16 was prepared into biochar-based immobilized bacterial particles, which successfully improved its nitrogen removal efficiency and stability. Therefore, the application of strain G16 in the field of real wastewater treatment has very necessary research value.

BACKGROUND AND AIMS: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has become a significant cause of chronic liver disease in developed countries, as a result of the worldwide trend of obesity and associated metabolic syndrome. Obesity and high-fat diet (HFD) are very common in patients with NAFLD. However, how to screen out key differentially expressed genes (DEGs) is a challenging task. The purpose of this study is to study the screen of key genes and pathways of HFD on the formation process of non-alcoholic fatty liver through network pharmacological analysis. METHODS: In this study, 173 genes associated with NAFLD were collected from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. To find significant genes and pathways, combine network clustering analysis, topology analysis, and pathway analysis. RESULTS: The results showed that there were four key signaling pathways related to HFD, including complement cascade, Atorvastatin ADME, Asthma and Aflatoxin activation and detoxification. In addition, we identified six representative key genes, including Ccl5, Tlr2, Cd274, Cxcl10, Cxcl9 and Cd74, and screened three intersecting genes in Mus musculus and Homo sapiens sample, including C3, F2 and C7. CONCLUSIONS: In conclusion, our study constructed the NAFLD gene regulatory network of C57BL/6J mice for the first time and jointly analyzed the Mus musculus samples and Homo sapiens samples. It provides new insights for identifying potential biomarkers and valuable therapeutic clues, and puts forward a new method for web-based research. These findings may provide potential targets for early diagnosis, effective therapy and prognostic markers of NAFLD.

Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been associated with a variety of biological activities, including immune responses. However, the function of lncRNAs in antiviral innate immune responses are not fully understood. Here, we identified a novel lncRNA, termed dual function regulating influenza virus (DFRV), elevating in a dose- and time-dependent manner during influenza A virus (IAV) infection, which was dependent on the NFκB signaling pathway. Meanwhile, DFRV was spliced into two transcripts post IAV infection, in which DFRV long suppress the viral replication while DFRV short plays the opposite role. Moreover, DFRV regulates IL-1ß and TNF-α via activating several pro-inflammatory signaling cascades, including NFκB, STAT3, PI3K, AKT, ERK1/2 and p38. Besides, DFRV short can inhibit DFRV long expression in a dose-dependent manner. Collectively, our studies reveal that DFRV may act as a potential dual-regulator to preserve innate immune homeostasis in IAV infection.

BACKGROUND: Second primary malignancies (SPMs) after liver transplantation (LT) are becoming the leading causes of death in LT recipients. The purpose of this study was to explore prognostic factors for SPMs and to establish an overall survival nomogram. METHODS: A retrospective analysis was conducted of data from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database on adult patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma who had undergone LT between 2004 and 2015. Cox regression analysis was used to explore the independent prognostic factors for SPMs. Nomogram was constructed using R software to predict the overall survival at 2, 3, and 5 years. The concordance index, calibration curves, and decision curve analysis were used to evaluate the clinical prediction model. RESULTS: Data from a total of 2078 patients were eligible, of whom 221 (10.64%) developed SPMs. A total of 221 patients were split into a training cohort (n=154) or a validation cohort (n=67) with a 7:3 ratio. The 3 most common SPMs were lung cancer, prostate cancer, and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Age at initial diagnosis, marital status, year of diagnosis, T stage, and latency were the prognostic factors for SPMs. The C-index of the nomogram for overall survival in the training and validation cohorts were 0.713 and 0.729, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: We analyzed the clinical characteristics of SPMs and developed a precise prediction nomogram, with a good predictive performance. The nomogram we developed may help clinicians provide personalized decisions and clinical treatment for LT recipients.

In vitro coagulation and digestion of caprine and bovine micellar casein concentrate (MCC) with or without partial colloidal calcium depletion (deCa) were studied under simulated adult and elderly conditions. Gastric clots were smaller and looser for caprine than bovine MCC, and were further looser with deCa and under elderly condition for both caprine and bovine MCC. Casein hydrolysis and concomitant formation of large peptides was faster for caprine than bovine MCC, and with deCa and under adult condition for caprine and bovine MCC. Formation of free amino groups and small peptides were faster for caprine MCC, and with deCa and under adult condition. Upon intestinal digestion, proteolysis occurred rapidly, and was faster under adult condition, but showed less differences with increasing digestion between caprine and bovine MCC, and with and without deCa. These results suggested weakened coagulation and greater digestibility for caprine MCC and MCC with deCa under both conditions.

Designing an efficient and durable electrocatalyst for the sluggish anodic oxygen evolution reaction (OER) has been the primary goal of using proton exchange membrane electrolyzer owing to the highly acidic and oxidative environment at the anode. In this work, it is reported that high-valence manganese drives the strong anchoring of the Ir species on the manganese dioxide (MnO2 ) matrix via the formation of an Mn-O-Ir coordination structure through a hydrothermal-redox reaction. The iridium (Ir)-atom-array array is firmly anchored on the Mn-O-Ir coordination structure, endowing the catalyst with excellent OER activity and stability in an acidic environment. Ir-MnO2 (160)-CC shows an ultralow overpotential of 181 mV at j = 10 mA cm-2 and maintains long-term stability of 180 h in acidic media with negligible decay, superior to most reported electrocatalysts. In contrast, when reacting with low-valence MnO2 , Ir species tend to aggregate into IrOx nanoparticles, leading to poor OER stability. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations further reveal that the formation of the Mn-O-Ir coordination structure can optimize the adsorption strength of *OOH intermediates, thus boosting the acidic OER activity and stability.

(1) Background: With the resurgence of brucellosis epidemics in China in recent years, the chances of a brucella coinfection with other common respiratory pathogens, such as the influenza virus, have increased dramatically. However, little is known about the pathogenicity or the mechanisms of brucella and influenza coinfections. (2) Methods: To clarify the interventions in the early stages of lung damage due to brucella and influenza coinfections, we evaluated the effect of the coinfection on disease progression and mortality using a coinfection model in WT mice and NLRP6-/- mice, and we verified the function of NLRP6 in infection and proinflammation. (3) Results: The coinfection induced significant respiratory symptoms, weight loss, and a high mortality rate in WT mice. Influenza in the coinfection group significantly increased brucella proliferation in a synergistic manner. Meanwhile, a histological examination showed severe lung tissue destruction and excessive inflammatory responses in coinfected WT animals, and the expression of NLRP6 and IL-18 was dramatically increased in the lung tissues. Furthermore, NLRP6 deletion attenuated lung injuries and inflammation, a reduced bacterial load, and decreased IL-18 protein expression. (4) Conclusions: Our findings indicated that NLRP6 plays a critical role and might be a promising potential therapeutic target for brucella-influenza coinfections.

Objective: To investigate the active ingredients, underlying anti-influenza virus effects, and mechanisms of Huoxiang Suling Shuanghua Decoction (HSSD). Materials and methods: The therapeutic effect of HSSD were confirmed through the survival rate experiment of H1N1-infected mice. Then, the HSSD solution and the ingredients absorbed into the blood after treatment with HSSD in rats were identified by UPLC/Q-TOF MS, while the main contents of ingredients were detected by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Next, a systems pharmacology approach incorporating target prediction, gene ontology (GO) enrichment, kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis, and molecular docking were performed to screen out the active compounds and critical pathways of HSSD in treating influenza. According to prediction results, real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) and immunohistochemistry assay were used to detect the mRNA and protein expression levels of critical targets in H1N1-infected mice lungs. Results: Huoxiang Suling Shuanghua Decoction improved the survival rate of H1N1-infected mice and prolonged the mice's lifespan. Besides, HSSD exerts an antivirus effect by decreasing the levels of hemagglutinin (HA) and nucleoprotein (NP) to inhibit the replication and proliferation of H1N1, reducing the lung pathological state, inhibiting the cell apoptosis in the lung, and regulating the abnormal responses of peripheral blood, including GRA, LYM, white blood cell (WBC), PLT, and hemoglobin (HGB). Then, 87 compounds in the HSSD solution and 20 ingredients absorbed into the blood after treatment with HSSD were identified. Based on this, combined with the network analysis and previous research on antivirus, 16 compounds were screened out as the active components. Moreover, 16 potential targets were predicted by network pharmacology analysis. Next, molecular docking results showed stable binding modes between compounds and targets. Furthermore, experimental validation results indicated that HSSD regulates the contents of Immunoglobulin A (IgA), Immunoglobulin M (IgM), and Immunoglobulin G (IgG) in serum, modulating the levels of IFN-γ, IL-6, IL-10, MCP-1, MIP-1α, and IP-10 in the lung tissue, and significantly decreasing the mRNA and protein expressions of TLR4, CD14, MyD88, NF-κB p65, HIF1 α, VEGF, IL17A, and IL6 in the lung tissue. Conclusion: Huoxiang Suling Shuanghua Decoction exerts an anti-influenza effect by affecting the expressions of mRNA and protein including TLR4, CD14, MyD88, NF-kB p65, HIF-1α, VEGF, IL17A, IL6, and inhibiting the accumulation of inflammation. Our study provided experimental pieces of evidence about the practical application of HSSD in treating influenza.

Carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning causes myocardial injury, which is attenuated by hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). During CO poisoning, the body increases anti-inflammatory proteins, including heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1), in response to oxidative stress. Considering the myocardial injury resulting from CO poisoning and the lack of sufficient information about the effect of HBOT on HO-1, the present study evaluated the effect of hyperbaric oxygen therapy on heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) in patients with acute carbon monoxide poisoning and myocardial injury. In this regard, in a before-after Quasi-Experimental study, 20 patients with carbon monoxide poisoning and myocardial injury were studied. All patients underwent 40 daily hyperbaric oxygen therapy sessions for 90 minutes at a pressure of 2.4 ATA. Also, 20 healthy individuals, as a control group, were participated. To evaluate and compare the mRNA level of the HO-1 gene, the Real-time PCR technique was used. Paired t-test was used to compare the two indices of 6min walking distance and pulmonary arterial pressure (PAP) before and after the intervention. The results showed that the difference during 12 weeks was 8.65 ± 4.91 for PAP, and this reduction in pressure was statistically significant (P = 0.0092). The distance traveled increased by 28 ± 10.88 m in 6 minutes at the end of the study (P = 0.0084). Regarding the expression level of HO-1, the results showed that the expression level in the intervention group before the test had a significant increase compared to the control group (p = 0.0004). However, after hyperbaric oxygen therapy, the expression of this gene decreased significantly, and there was no statistically significant difference with the control group (p = 0.062). Overall, the results showed that HBOT significantly decreased HO-1 gene expression in CO poisoning and myocardial injury patients. It indicates the importance of HBOT in the treatment and compensation of cardiac tissue damage caused by CO poisoning.
