RESUMO

As a rising star among metal oxide nanomaterials, titanium dioxide (TiO2) has been widely investigated and employed in optical applications because of its excellent optical properties. In this work, we demonstrate the efficient and broadband nonlinear photonic properties of methylene blue (MB)-loaded reduced TiO2 (TiO2-x-MB) and explore the performance of a TiO2-x-MB-microfiber photonic device in broadband ultrafast photonics. Within an erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) system, utilizing the TiO2-x-MB-microfiber photonic device as a saturable absorber (SA), steady mode-locked pulses together with chaotic pulses were successfully achieved at the wavelength of 1.55 µm. Furthermore, by incorporating the TiO2-x-MB SA into a thulium-doped fiber laser (TDFL) system, an ultrashort single pulse and multiple pulses were obtained at 2.0 µm. These results indicate that TiO2-x-MB is an excellent nanomaterial for use in mode-locked lasers, being an alternative candidate for ultrafast fiber lasers via exploiting the chemical and physical properties of oxide nanomaterials.

The global climate is undergoing extraordinary changes, profoundly influencing a variety of ecological processes. Understanding the distribution patterns and predicting the future of plant diversity is crucial for biodiversity conservation in the context of climate change. However, current studies on predictive geographic patterns of plant diversity often fail to separate the effects of global climate change from other influencing factors. In this study, we developed a spatial simulation model of spermatophyte family diversity (SSMSFD) based on data collected from 200 nature reserves covering approximately 1,500,000 km2, where direct anthropogenic disturbances to plant diversity and the surrounding environment are absent. We predicted the spermatophyte family diversity for all provinces in China in 2020, 2040, and 2080, considering the impacts of global climate change. On average, China currently exhibits 118 plant families per 25 km2, with a decreasing trend from southeast to northwest. When considering only the effects of global climate change, excluding direct anthropogenic disturbances, our results indicate that under the Shared Socioeconomic Path Scenarios (SSPs) 245 and 585, spermatophyte family diversity is projected to slowly increase in most Chinese provinces from 2021 to 2080. Notably, the increase is more pronounced under SSPs585 compared to SSPs245. Global climate change has a positive effect on plant diversity, in contrast to the negative impact of anthropogenic disturbances that often lead to declines in plant diversity. This research highlights the contrasting outcomes of future plant diversity under the sole influence of global climate change and the significant negative effects of anthropogenic disturbances on diversity.

BACKGROUND: The relationship between venous congestion in cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) and acute kidney injury (AKI) in cardiac surgery has not utterly substantiated. This study aimed at investigate the relationship between CVP in CPB and the occurrence of AKI. METHODS: We retrospectively reviewed 2048 consecutive patients with cardiovascular disease undergoing cardiac procedure with CPB from January 2018 to December 2022. We used the median CVP value obtained during CPB for our analysis and patients were grouped according to this parameter. The primary outcomes were AKI and renal replacement therapy(RRT). Multivariable logistic regression was used to explore the association between CVP and AKI. RESULTS: A total of 2048 patients were enrolled in our study and divided into high CVP group (CVP ≥ 6.5 mmHg) and low CVP group (CVP < 6.5 mmHg) according to the median CVP value. Patients in high CVP group had the high AKI and RRT rate when compared to the low CVPgroup[(367/912,40.24%)vs.(408/1136,35.92%),P = 0.045;(16/912,1.75%vs.9/1136;0.79%), P = 0.049]. Multivariate logistic regression analysis displayed CVP played an indispensable part in development of renal failure in surgical. CONCLUSIONS: Elevated CVP(≥ 6.5mmH2OmmHg) in CPB during cardiac operation is associated with an increased risk of AKI in cardiovascular surgery patients. Clinical attention should be paid to the potential role of CVP in predicting the occurrence of AKI.

Parental supportive emotional expressivity could contribute to children's prosocial behaviors, and such an effect may differ for children with different levels of resting respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA). This study disentangled the stable differences across dyads (i.e., between-person effects) from the dynamic associations between parental expressivity and children's prosocial behaviors within dyads (i.e., within-person effects) and determined how resting RSA functioned as a susceptibility factor in such effects. The longitudinal design consisted of three measurements with a 1-year interval performed among 208 school-aged children (48.6% girls; Han nationality) and their parents (153 mothers and 55 fathers). The initial measurement was conducted when the children were 7 years old (Mage  = 7.13, SDage  = .33). Resting RSA was calculated at the first measurement; parents reported children's prosocial behaviors and parental expressivity at each of the three measurements. The results demonstrated significant between- and within-person effects of parental expressivity on children's prosocial behaviors and found a moderating role of children's resting RSA in the within-person effects. These findings suggest that children displayed more prosocial behaviors when parents showed more supportive expressivity both across and within dyads, and higher resting RSA operated as a differential susceptibility factor in the intraindividual fluctuations in parental expressivity.

Helicopter parenting and tiger parenting may increase the risks of anxiety and depression in children. However, it is unclear how these parenting styles affect the developmental outcomes and trajectories of anxiety and depressive symptoms, and how children's internal inhibitory control (IC) moderates such effects. The present study aimed to examine this issue. A sample of 172 typically developing children (77 girls; Mage = 7.14, SDage = 0.33) and their parents participated in the study. Parents reported children's anxiety and depressive symptoms using the Child Behavior Checklist each year from the first measurement (T1) to the third measurement (T3) and reported their helicopter parenting and tiger parenting at T1. Children completed the Go/No-go task at T1 to measure their IC. Higher T1 helicopter parenting impeded the declines in anxiety and depression over time, and higher T1 tiger parenting predicted more anxiety and depressive symptoms at T3. However, such effects were only observed in children with low IC, and higher IC buffered the adverse impacts of both helicopter parenting and tiger parenting on children's anxiety and depressive symptoms. These findings revealed that helicopter parenting and tiger parenting had negative impacts on the developmental trajectories and outcomes of anxiety and depression in children and suggest that IC plays an important role in alleviating the risks of anxiety and depression among children in adverse environments.

How parent-child discrepancies in perceived parental control associate with children's prosocial behaviors remains unknown. This study examined this issue in 578 Chinese children (297 girls, Mage = 10.85, SDage = 0.72) and their mothers and fathers. Parents and children reported parental psychological and behavioral control, and children reported their prosocial behaviors. The latent difference scores modeling showed that compared to parents' perceptions, children's higher perceptions of guilt induction were related to more public prosocial behaviors; higher perceptions of love withdrawal were linked to fewer altruistic, compliant, emotional, and dire prosocial behaviors; and higher reporting of solicitation was associated with more general prosocial behaviors. The findings revealed the association between parent-child discrepancies and early adolescents' prosocial behaviors, supporting both the discrepancy-maladaptive hypotheses and the discrepancy-adaptive hypotheses within Chinese families.

BACKGROUND: Externalizing problems among adolescents are prevalent, which are associated with a range of maladaptive developmental outcomes. Existing studies investigated the influence of childhood trauma, and attentional control on and how sensory processing sensitivity (SPS) is related to adolescents' externalizing problems. However, it is unknown whether attentional control plays a mediating role in the relationships between childhood trauma and adolescents' externalizing problems, and whether SPS plays a moderating role in these relationships. The present study examined these issues with a six-month-interval longitudinal study design. METHODS: A total of 1933 junior school students (Grade 7, Mage = 12.82, 47.7 % girls) from a large follow-up project in a city of eastern China participated in the study. After half a year (wave 2), the data of 1890 participants (Grade 8) were collected. The Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ), Attentional Control Scale (ACS-C), Highly Sensitive Child Scale (HSCS), and the Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL-YSR) were administered to the participants to assess their childhood trauma, attentional control, SPS, and externalizing problems in two waves. The immediate and longitudinal moderated mediation models were utilized to investigate the relationships among these factors. RESULTS: Childhood trauma significantly and positively predicted adolescents' externalizing problems. Attentional control played an immediate and longitudinal mediating role in the relationship between childhood trauma and externalizing problems. SPS moderated the relationship between childhood trauma and adolescents' attentional control. Childhood trauma had a greater effect on the attentional control of adolescents with SPS levels. CONCLUSIONS: This study suggests that childhood trauma might impair adolescents' attentional control and then increase their externalizing problems. The influence of childhood trauma on attentional control is more serious among adolescents with lower SPS levels. Therefore, decreasing and preventing childhood trauma and building a warm nurturing environment might be beneficial to improving adolescents' attentional control ability and then reduce their externalizing problems.

Deficits in attentional control or inhibitory control are distinct features of childhood aggressive behaviors. Lower attentional control or inhibitory control is considered to predict more aggressive behaviors, while few studies have documented the possible predictive effects of aggressive behaviors on attentional control or inhibitory control. The present study examined the bidirectional relations between aggressive behaviors and both inhibitory control and attentional control in 169 Chinese primary school children (75 girls, Mage = 7.15, SDage = 0.33), annually for 3 years starting at age 7. The No-go accuracy on a Go/No-go task was used as the index of inhibitory control, and the intraindividual reaction time variability (IIRTV) of correct Go trials indicated attentional control. The aggressive behaviors subscale of the child behavior checklist-Chinese version was used to assess the children's aggressive behaviors. The results demonstrated a significant and stable predictive effect of previous aggressive behaviors on subsequent attentional control, with more aggressive behaviors predicting greater IIRTV at both the between-child and within-child levels. No significant effects of inhibitory control or attentional control on aggressive behaviors or sex-specific patterns were found. The findings suggest the negative impact of childhood aggressive behaviors on attentional control and underscore the importance of early prevention and intervention for childhood aggressive behaviors.

INTRODUCTION: The present study sought to investigate whether the relationship between childhood trauma, childhood socioeconomic (SES), and adolescents' altruism were mediated by their life history strategies and different adverse childhood experiences may function diversely on altruism, with two waves of data collected 6 months apart in a longitudinal design among Chinese adolescents. METHODS: A total of 658 adolescents (Mage = 13.51, SD = 0.73 at T1) were recruited and completed the online survey; their life history strategies were measured by the Mini-K, the Delayed of Gratification Questionnaire (DOG), and the Chinese version of the Adolescent Risk-Taking Questionnaire (ARQ-RB) together, and their altruism was collected again after six months. RESULTS: After controlling for gender and their altruism at T1, the results showed that childhood trauma (i.e., emotional maltreatment, physical maltreatment), as well as low SES and fast life history strategy, were significantly negatively correlated with adolescents' altruism at T2. Importantly, life history strategy at T1 mediated the relationship between T1 emotional maltreatment, T1 low SES, and adolescents' altruism at T2. However, the effect of physical maltreatment on altruism was not mediated by life history strategy. CONCLUSIONS: This study indicated that emotional maltreatment and low SES can affect adolescents' altruism by influencing the formation of adolescents' life history strategies. The findings revealed the different influences of adverse childhood experiences on adolescents' altruism, which supplied new empirical evidence for the life history theory and provided certain reference values for cultivating adolescents' altruism.

Intentional inhibition is a crucial component of self-regulation, yet it is under-researched, because it is difficult to study without external stimuli or overt behaviors. Although Free-Choice tasks have been developed, it remains unclear how two key design features (i.e., behavioral impulse and time pressure) affect their sensitivity to intentional inhibition. To investigate this, the present study developed a Free Two-Choice Oddball task, which generated both an inhibition rate index and a response time (RT) index. Two experiments were conducted to systematically manipulate the ratio of the reactive standard to oddball trials and reaction time limit, inducing diverse behavioral impulses and different time pressures. The following findings were obtained from the critical Free-Choice trials. In the equal ratio condition, participants demonstrated comparable RTs for both the standard and oddball responses. In the moderate-ratio condition, participants exhibited longer RTs for the oddball than standard responses under low- but not high-time pressure. In the high-ratio condition, while RTs for the oddball responses were longer than those for the standard responses under both the high- and low-time pressures, participants displayed a decreased inhibition rate under the high-time pressure compared to the low-time pressure. Finally, participants exhibited a reduced inhibition rate in the high-ratio condition compared to the moderate-ratio condition. Together, these findings suggest that Free-Choice tasks can reflect intentional inhibition under specific conditions, and intentional inhibition is susceptible to both behavioral impulse and time pressure, while also establishing the theoretical and methodological foundations for subsequent research.

Background: People with substance use disorders (SUDs) who have experienced serious childhood trauma may have executive function impairments contributing to relapse. Baseline respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA) reflects physiological regulation capacity, which has been found to buffer the negative effects of childhood trauma. Baseline RSA has also been found to be related to intraindividual reaction time variability (IIRTV), which is an index of executive function.Objectives: The present study examined the relationship between childhood trauma and perceived relapse tendency, the mediation role of IIRTV, and the moderation role of baseline RSA.Methods: The study is cross-sectional, a total of 110 males with SUDs participated (Mage = 46.45 years, SD = 11.24). The Childhood Trauma Questionnaire and Intention to Rehabilitate Questionnaire were used to assess childhood trauma and perceived relapse tendency, the two-choice oddball task was used to measure IIRTV, and electrocardiogram (ECG) data were collected to obtain baseline RSA.Results: IIRTV mediated the relationship between childhood trauma and perceived relapse tendency (Coeff = 0.049, Boot CI [0.004, 0.121]); interaction of childhood trauma and Baseline RSA negatively influences IIRTV (ß = -0.208, t = -2.022, p = .046).Conclusion: The results suggest that males with SUDs who have experienced serious childhood trauma may have executive function impairments that contribute to relapse, and baseline RSA may buffer the negative effect of childhood trauma on IIRTV. These findings suggest that the prevention of relapse through cognitive enhancement can be complemented by the enhancement of physiological regulation.

In the context of current communication systems, there is an urgent demand for more efficient and higher-speed optical signal processing technologies. Researchers are actively exploring new materials and devices to harness nonlinear optical phenomena, seeking advancements in this field. Nonlinear carbon materials, especially promising 2D materials, have garnered attention for their potential interaction with light and have become integral to the development of all-optical signal processing devices. This study focuses on utilizing a photonic device based on a nonlinear Au/CB composite material for optical Kerr switching. The application of Au/CB as a nonlinear material in the Kerr switch represents a noteworthy advancement, demonstrating its capability to modulate optical signals. By appropriately applying a pump light, the study achieves optical Kerr switching with an extinction ratio of approximately 15 dB in the fully off state of the signal light carrying a 10 GHz analog signal, marking a pioneering achievement in the field to the best of our knowledge. The experimental results, encompassing extinction ratios, signal control, and stability, not only validate the feasibility of this technology but also underscore its potential applicability within optical communication systems. The successful modulation and control of a 10 GHz analog signal showcase the practicality and effectiveness of the Au/CB-based optical Kerr switch. This progress contributes to the continuous evolution of optical Kerr switching, a crucial component in modern optical communication systems. Therefore, we believe that the Au/CB-based optical Kerr switch is an exceptionally promising and stable all-optical signal processing device. As the contemporary communication landscape evolves, the integration of this technology holds the potential to enhance the efficiency and speed of optical signal processing.

Cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury increases blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeability, leading to hemorrhagic transformation and brain edema. Normobaric oxygen (NBO) is a routine clinical treatment strategy for this condition. However, its neuroprotective effects remain controversial. This study investigated the effect of different NBO concentrations on I/R injury and explores the involvement of the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) pathway in the underlying mechanism. A mouse middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) model, and an oxygen and glucose deprivation (OGD) model featuring mouse brain microvascular endothelial cells (ECs) called bEnd.3, were used to investigate the effect of NBO on I/R injury. A reactive oxygen species (ROS) inducer and Nrf2-knockdown by RNA were used to explore whether the Nrf2 pathway mediates the effect of NBO on cerebrovascular ECs. In the early stage of MCAO, 40% O2 NBO exposure significantly improved blood perfusion in the ischemic area and effectively relieved BBB permeability, cerebral edema, cerebral injury, and neurological function after MCAO. In the OGD model, 40% O2 NBO exposure significantly reduced apoptosis, inhibited ROS generation, reduced ER stress, upregulated the expression of tight junction proteins, and stabilized the permeability of ECs. Blocking the Nrf2 pathway nullified the protective effect of 40% O2 NBO on ECs after OGD. Finally, our study confirmed that low concentrations of NBO have a neuroprotective effect on I/R by activating the Nrf2 pathway in ECs.

As one of the new nanomaterials, TiN/Ti3C2 shows excellent optoelectronic characteristics, thus it has been widely used in many applications, such as biomedicine, optical sensors, image processing, and optical switching. With the advancement of communication capabilities and communication networks, optical fiber communication has put a higher demand on signal processing. In order to overcome the limitations of the electronic transfer rate bottleneck, the concept of all-optical signal processing has been proposed. Utilizing the excellent optical nonlinear effect of the TiN/Ti3C2 heterojunction-coated microfiber (THM), a novel THM-based optical Kerr switch has been proposed. Injecting a strong control light and a signal light into the device simultaneously, and controlling the state of turn on or off of the control light, can adjust the intensity of the signal light. Based on this, the amplitude modulation of the signal light can be achieved. With a control light power of 200 mW, the maximum extinction ratio of the signal light reaches 27 dB. We believe that this type of compact device can demonstrate great potential for integration with current high-speed fiber communication networks, providing a possible method for all-optical signal processing through nonlinear effects, and has broad prospects in the field of all-optical signal processing, robots, and high-speed communication.

Previous research found that performing an initial self-control task impairs subsequent self-control performance, which is referred to as ego depletion. However, recent meta-analyses and replication studies have led to controversies over whether the ego depletion effect is as reliable as previously assumed. The present study aimed to shed more light on these controversies by combining depletion measurement task type and personality as moderators. Study 1 investigated trait self-control and action orientation's moderation role for depletion effects on stop-signal task (inhibitory control). Study 2 examined the trait self-control and action orientation's moderation role for depletion effects on a majority congruent Stroop task (goal maintenance). Results showed that trait self-control moderated the ego depletion effect on stop-signal reaction time (SSRT). High trait self-control people were less vulnerable to the ego depletion effect on the reactive inhibitory control task, whereas the moderating role of trait self-control for ego depletion was not found in the goal maintenance task. More particularly, high action-oriented people were less susceptible to the ego depletion effect on the goal maintenance task, but there was no moderation effect of action orientation for ego depletion in the stop-signal task. We discuss types of task for depletion measurement and individual differences in ego depletion, and we suggest possible avenues for future research.

A pilot-scale biological trickling filter (BTF) reactor (13.5 L) packed with different fillers (Pine bark, Cinder, Straw, and MBBR (mobile bed biofilm reactor) filler was employed to evaluate their removal performance of H2S and NH3 after heterotrophic bacterium addition, and some parameters, including different packing heights, empty bed residence time (EBRT), inlet titers, loading ratios, and restart trial, were investigated in this study. According to the experimental results, BTF filled with pine bark exhibited better removal efficiency than other reactors under a variety of conditions. The removal efficiency of H2S and NH3 reached to as high as 81.31 % and 91.72 %, respectively, with the loading range of 3.29-67.70 g/m3·h. Moreover, due to the addition of heterotrophic bacterium, the removal efficiency was enhanced and capable to eliminate majority of H2S and NH3 even though the packing height was reduced to 400 mm. After 15 days of idle, the BTF reactor was able to resume rapidly and execute deodorization with high efficiency. The degradation mechanism was further explored by a thorough examination of microbial species which degraded contaminants, as well as by functional prediction and correlation analyses. In a word, these results laid a foundation for the application of heterotrophic microorganisms in BTF, which could improve the removal efficiency of biological deodorization.

Little information is available on the effects of nano-α-Fe2O3 on arsenic (As) metabolism of algae and potential associated carbon (C) storage in As-contaminated water with dissolved organic phosphorus (DOP) as a phosphorus (P) source. In this study, Microcystis aeruginosa (M. aeruginosa) was used to investigate impacts of nano-α-Fe2O3 on cell growth and As metabolism of algae under a phytate (PA) environment as well as potential associated C storage. Results showed that nano-α-Fe2O3 had a subtle influence on algal cell growth in a PA environment. Herein, algal cell density (OD680) and chlorophyll a (Chla) were inhibited at elevated nano-α-Fe2O3 levels, which simultaneously limited the decrease of Yield. As suggested, the complexation of PA with nano-α-Fe2O3 could alleviate the negative influence on algal cell growth. Furthermore, the elevated nano-α-Fe2O3 increased As methylation in the PA environment due to higher monomethylarsenic (MMA) and dimethylarsenic (DMA) concentrations in the test media. Additionally, microcystins (MCs) in the media changed consistently with UV254, both of which were relatively lower at 10.0 mg·L-1 nano-α-Fe2O3. Enhanced As(V) methylation of algal cells was found to simultaneously reduce the release risk of As(III) and MC while increasing dissolved organic carbon (DOC) content in media, suggesting unfavorable C storage. Three-dimensional fluorescence analysis revealed that the main DOC constituent was the tryptophan-like component in aromatic proteins. Correlation analysis showed that decreases in pH and the zeta potential and an increase in Chla may lead to metabolic As improvements in M. aeruginosa. The obtained findings highlight the need for greater focus on the potential risks of DOP combined with nano-α-Fe2O3 on algal blooms as well as the biogeochemical cycling processes of As and C storage in As-contaminated water with DOP as the P source.

Alterations in dynamic intrinsic brain activity and signaling of neurotransmitters, such as dopamine, have been independently detected in schizophrenia patients. Yet, it remains unclear whether the dopamine genetic risk variants have association with brain intrinsic activity. We aimed to investigate the schizophrenia-specific dynamic amplitude of low frequency fluctuation (dALFF) altered pattern, and its association with dopamine genetic risk score in first-episode drug-naïve schizophrenia (FES). Fifty-two FES and 51 healthy controls were included. A sliding-window method based on the dALFF was adopted to estimate the dynamic alterations in intrinsic brain activity. Subjects were genotyped, and a genetic risk score (GRS), which combined the additive effects of ten risk genotypes from five dopamine-related genes, was calculated. We used the voxel-wise correlation analysis to explore the association of dopamine-GRS with dALFF. FES showed significantly increased dALFF left medial prefrontal cortex and significantly decreased dALFF in the right posterior cingulate cortex compared with healthy controls. Greater dopamine GRS in FES was associated with higher dALFF in the left middle frontal gyrus and left inferior parietal gyrus. Our findings indicate that cumulative dopamine genetic risk is associated with a known imaging phenotype for schizophrenia.

Little information is available on how nano-Fe2O3 substituted iron ions as a possible iron source impacting on algal growth and arsenate (As(V)) metabolism under dissolved organic phosphorus (DOP) (D-glucose-6-phosphate (GP)) conditions. We investigated the growth of Microcystis aeruginosa and As(V) metabolism together with their metabolites in As(V) aquatic environments with nano-Fe2O3 and GP as the sole iron and P sources, respectively. Results showed that nano-Fe2O3 showed inhibitory effects on M. aeruginosa growth and microcystin (MCs) release under GP conditions in As(V) polluted water. There was little influence on As species changes in GP media under different nano-Fe2O3 concentrations except for obvious total As (TAs) removal in 100.0 mg L-1 nano-Fe2O3 levels. As(V) metabolism dominated with As(V) biotransformation in algal cells was facilitated and arsenite (As(III)) releasing risk was relieved clearly by nano-Fe2O3 under GP conditions. The dissolved organic matter (DOM) in media exhibited more fatty acid analogs containing -CO, -CH2 =CH2, and -CH functional groups with increasing nano-Fe2O3 concentrations, but the fluorescent analogs were relatively reduced especially for the fluorescent DOM dominated by aromatic protein-like tryptophan which was significantly inhibited by nano-Fe2O3. Thus, As methylation that was facilitated in M. aeruginosa by nano-Fe2O3 in GP environments also caused more organic substances to release that absorb infrared spectra while reducing the release risks of As(III) and MCs as well as protein-containing tryptophan fractions. From 1H-NMR analysis, this might be caused by the increased metabolites of aromatic compounds, organic acid/amino acid, and carbohydrates/glucose in algal cells. The findings are vital for a better understanding of nano-Fe2O3 role-playing in As bioremediation by microalgae and the subsequent potential aquatic ecological risks.

The present study investigated the moderating role of peer attachment style in the relationship between mood and creativity. An experiment was conducted with a sample of 267 undergraduate students (Mage = 19.85, range = 17-24 years). First, participants' peer attachment style was measured, following which positive, neutral, or negative mood was induced; subsequently, two creative tasks were conducted. A MANOVA revealed significant interactions between peer attachment and mood. Specifically, for secure participants, creativity was significantly higher in the positive mood state compared to the neutral and negative mood states; for insecure participants, the effect of positive mood was not pronounced. Moreover, negative mood exerted a significant beneficial effect on the originality dimension for participants with an anxious-ambivalent peer attachment style; they showed higher creativity in the negative mood state than in the neutral or positive mood states. In general, peer attachment style moderated the relationship between mood and creativity; specifically, positive mood was beneficial to creativity among secure persons, and negative mood was beneficial to creativity among anxious-ambivalent persons.
