RESUMO

Objective: To realize the changes in pulmonary hypertension (PH) patients' right ventricular function. Methods: A total number of 74 patients with PH were included, and the parameters of standard echocardiographic were measured as well as the strain of peak longitudinal of each segment during the systole of the right ventricle to calculate the global longitudinal strain (LS) during systole of the right ventricular free wall. Results: ① As pulmonary arterial pressure increased, the right ventricular area gradually increased, and the case group showed the decreased right ventricular fractional area change (RVFAC), tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion (TAPSE), and tricuspid annular peak systolic velocity (S') (p < 0.05). They, RVFAC, and TAPSE depicted significant differences that were statistical (p < 0.05) from the other groups. ② With increasing pulmonary arterial pressure, the right ventricular free wall's LS gradually reduced (p < 0.05).Conclusion: ① LS right ventricular free wall is useful in detecting changes in right ventricular systolic function early on with greater sensitivity than RVFAC, TAPSE, and S'. In addition, increased right ventricular pressure loading can result in a subsequent impairment of right ventricular myocardial mechanics. ② As right ventricular pressure loading increases, right ventricular strain decreases. ③ In mild PH, the right ventricular free wall's. LS is more sensitive than standard measures in spotting early alterations in myocardial mechanics.

RESUMO

We investigated the anti-tumor effects of Verbena officinalis extract on H22 tumor-bearing mice and its effect on immune function. Mice model of H22 solid tumor was established, the mice were divided into five groups and administered the extract, later, tumors were removed and inhibition rates were calculated; spleens were removed and spleen indices were calculated, and the sheep red blood cell-delayed-type hypersensitivity (SRBC-DTH) and the serum hemolysin level were determined. The Verbena officinalis extract had anti-tumor effect, with the inhibition rate reaching 38.78%, it also increased the spleen index to a certain extent, in addition, the changes in DTA and HA were not obvious compared with the model group. The Verbena officinalis extract had in vivo anti-tumor effect, while causing no damage on the immune function.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To study the effects of different phytohormones on the growth of hairy root and biosynthesis of tanshinone II A in Salvia miltiorrhiza. METHODS: Salvia miltiorrhiza hairy root was induced by organizational culture method. Tanshinone was extracted with ultrasonic method and detected by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). RESULTS: The phytohormone combination of GA3 and 6-BA at different concentrations adding to 1/2 MS medium had obviously inhibitory effect on the hairy root growth of Salvia miltiorrhiza. And the highest inhibition rate was up to 100% (hairy roots were death). However, the growth of hairy roots could be obviously promoted by the combination of KT (1.0 mg/L) and IBA (1.0 mg/L), increasing 3. 251 times than that of the control. Total tanshinone II A content in hairy roots bodies was the highest under the combination of 0.2 mg/L NAA and 3.0 mg/L 6-BA. 6-BA of 2.0 mg/L played a significant role in promoting tanshinone II A biosynthesis, and the tanshinone II A concentration was 3.012 times higher than that of the control. CONCLUSION: Different phytohormones and its combination adding to 1/2 MS medium has significant influence on the hairy root growth and the content of tanshinone II A in Salvia miltiorrhiza.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of top pruning on fruiting characters of Platycodon grandiflorum, and find the suitable stage, in which seed growth and development furtherly. METHOD: One-year old seedlings were chosen and planted in field. Plant height, branching number, fruit number per plant, 1000 grains weight were measured during growth and development period, respectively. RESULT: The treatment of top pruning postponed in turn the flowering date, lowered the plant heights and the fruit number per plant, increased the branching number and influenced significantly on 1000 grains weights. CONCLUSION: The suitable stage of top pruning for producing seeds was from June 20th to July 5th.
