Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the cognitive evaluation level of ICU nurses in Guizhou Province, China, on the sensitivity indicators of nursing quality for ECMO patients. Patients and Methods: This was a cross-sectional observational study conducted in Guizhou Province, China, from May to July 2023, 259 ICU nurses were surveyed. Objective sampling method was used to select the participants from 10 hospitals in Guizhou Province that carried out ECMO. Data were collected through questionnaire survey. Two researchers checked and recorded Epidata 3.1. SPSS 25.0 was used for statistical analysis of the data, and frequency, mean and component ratio were used for descriptive statistical analysis. The importance rating was used to reflect the degree of nurses' agreement with the indicators. Results: The results of this study showed that 79.1% of the 253 ICU nurses in Guizhou Province, China, had not participated in training and courses related to indicators of quality of care evaluation for ECMO patients. The main way for ICU nurses to acquire knowledge related to indicators of quality of care sensitivity for ECMO patients was departmental training, which accounted for 87.4%. And the other ways, in descending order, were public, the matic lectures or academic conferences, journals and magazines; their evaluation scores of the importance of most of the quality of care sensitivity indicators for ECMO patients was moderate, with the scores ranging from 73 to 150. Among them, the range of importance evaluation scores for each indicator was 4.01 ~ 4.48. Conclusion: The overall cognitive evaluation of ICU nurses in Guizhou Province, China, on most sensitivity indicators of quality of care for ECMO patients was moderate, and there is a general lack of systematic courses and training on the knowledge related to ECMO care quality sensitive indicators.

AIM: To explore the local spontaneous neural activity and whole-brain functional connectivity patterns in the resting brain of acrophobia patients. METHODS: 50 patients with acrophobia and 47 healthy controls were selected for this study. All participants underwent resting-state MRI scans after enrollment. The imaging data were then analyzed using a voxel-based degree centrality (DC) method, and seed-based functional connectivity (FC) correlation analysis was used to explore the correlation between abnormal functional connectivity and clinical symptom scales in acrophobia. The severity of symptoms was evaluated using self-report and behavioral measures. RESULTS: Compared to controls, acrophobia patients showed higher DC in the right cuneus and left middle occipital gyrus and significantly lower DC in the right cerebellum and left orbitofrontal cortex (p < 0.01, GRF corrected). Additionally, there were negative correlations between the acrophobia questionnaire avoidance (AQ- Avoidance) scores and right cerebellum-left perirhinal cortex FC (r = -0.317, p = 0.025) and between scores of the 7-item generalized anxiety disorder scale and left middle occipital gyrus-right cuneus FC (r = -0.379, p = 0.007). In the acrophobia group, there was a positive correlation between behavioral avoidance scale and right cerebellum-right cuneus FC (r = 0.377, p = 0.007). CONCLUSIONS: The findings indicated that there are local abnormalities in spontaneous neural activity and functional connectivity in the visual cortex, cerebellum, and orbitofrontal cortex in patients with acrophobia.

Using a controllable wet chemical approach, the polyol process, we developed a cobalt carbide nanomagnet consisting of an assembly of Co2C and Co3C nanoparticles as an alternative to rare earth permanent magnets (PMs). The thermodynamically stable mixed phase cobalt carbide nanoparticles are shown to be acicular in morphology. Their exchange-coupled magnetic interaction possessing high maximum energy product of 20.7 kJ m(-3) and room temperature coercivity (2.9 kOe) has been confirmed through vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and first order reversal curves (FORCs). These metastable carbide nanoparticles offer improved magnetic properties compared to their pure bulk form. An understanding of the formation mechanism, using in situ time-resolved X-ray spectroscopy (TR-XAS), and the correlation between phase contributions to the properties are described in detail. Our strategy presents a controllable route to preparing the cobalt carbide nanomagnets, which could be potentially useful in permanent magnet clean energy applications. Additionally, the in situ apparatus offers a promising way to directly explore the effects of reaction variables for high-temperature wet chemical reactions.
