RESUMO
Two novel lanthanide mercury materials, [Gd(IA)3(H3O)2Hg3Br6]n·2nCl (1) and [La(IA)3(H3O)2Hg3Br6]n·2nCl (2) (IA = isonicotinic anion), have been prepared under solvothermal conditions and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques. They are isomorphic and characterized by a three-dimensional (3-D) framework structure. The lanthanide ions are bound by eight oxygen atoms to exhibit a square antiprismatic geometry. The solid-state photoluminescence experiment discovers that compound 1 shows a strong emission in the red region. Compound 1 possesses CIE (Commission Internationale de I'Éclairage) chromaticity coordinates of 0.7347 and 0.2653. Its CCT (correlated color temperature) is 6514 K. Compound 2 displays yellow photoluminescence and it has CIE chromaticity coordinates of 0.4411 and 0.5151. The CCT of compound 2 is 3633 K. Solid-state UV/Vis diffuse reflectance spectra revealed that their semiconductor band gaps are 2.16 eV and 2.85 eV, respectively.
RESUMO
Urban thermal anisotropy (UTA) drastically impacts satellite-derived urban surface temperatures and fluxes, and consequently makes it difficult to gain a more comprehensive understanding of global urban climates. However, UTA patterns and associated biases in observed urban climate variables have not been investigated across an adequate number of global cities with diverse contexts; nor is it known whether there are globally measurable factors that are closely related to the UTA intensity (UTAI, quantified as the maximum difference between the nadir and off-nadir urban thermal radiation). Here we investigate the UTAI over more than 5500 cities worldwide using multi-angle land surface temperature (LST) observations from 2003 to 2021 provided by Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS). The results show that the global mean UTAI can reach 5.1, 2.7, 2.4, and 1.7 K during summer daytime, winter daytime, summer nighttime, and winter nighttime, respectively. Using nadir LST observations as a reference, our analysis reveals that UTA can lead to an underestimation of satellite-based urban surface sensible heat fluxes (H) by 45.4% and surface urban heat island intensity (Is) by 43.0% when using LST observations obtained from sensor viewing zenith angles (VZAs) of ±60°. Practitioners can limit the biases of H and Is within ±10% by using LSTs from sensor VZAs within ±30°. We also find that UTAI is closely related to urban impervious surface percentage and surface air temperature across global cities. These findings have implications for angular normalization of satellite-retrieved instantaneous LST observations across cities worldwide.
RESUMO
The social work profession has been exploring nonpharmacological interventions for patients with cognitive impairment, but there are few evidence-based research outputs. Systematically evaluating the effectiveness of social work interventions for people with cognitive impairment can shed light on the matter to further improve similar interventions. Randomized controlled trials of nonpharmacological interventions for patients with cognitive impairment were selected from key literature databases in both English and Chinese from 2010 to 2021. A systematic review and meta-analysis with Revman 5.4 were performed. Seven trials were included, involving 851 patients with cognitive impairment. The meta-analysis showed that, in terms of overall cognitive function, the Montreal Cognitive Assessment score (MD = 1.64, 95% CI [0.97, 2.30], p < 0.001) of the intervention group was superior to the control group, but there was no significant difference in the Mini-Mental State Examination score between the two groups (MD = 0.33, 95% CI [-0.16, 0.82], p = 0.18). Compared with the control group, nonpharmacological intervention can effectively improve the neuropsychiatric condition of patients (SMD = -0.42, 95% CI [-0.64, -0.20], p = 0.0002). In summary, the current evidence shows that nonpharmacological social work interventions had a positive effect on the cognitive function and neuropsychiatric status of patients with cognitive impairment. Suggestions for future nonpharmacological intervention practice are discussed.

BACKGROUND: A meta-analysis was performed to evaluate the potential effects of hypertension in pregnancy on the placenta accreta spectrum. METHODS: A systematic literature search in OVID, Embase, Cochrane Library, PubMed, and Google Scholar up to May 2021 was done, and six studies were found including 126,224 pregnant women; 7164 of them had hypertension in pregnancy and 816 had placenta accreta spectrum. They were reporting relationships between the potential effects of hypertension in pregnancy on the placenta accreta spectrum. The odds ratio (OR) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) was calculated to assess the potential effects of hypertension in pregnancy on the placenta accreta spectrum using the dichotomous with a random- or fixed-effect model. RESULTS: Pregnancy-induced hypertension was significantly related to lower prevalence of placenta accreta spectrum (OR 0.56; 95% CI 0.37-0.84, p = 0.005) with no heterogeneity (I2 = 0%) compared to control (no hypertension in pregnancy). When looking at the result comparing the prevalence of hypertension in pregnancy in women with placenta accrete compared to control (no placenta accrete), we found that the placenta accreta spectrum was significantly related to lower prevalence of hypertension in pregnancy (OR 0.65; 95% CI 0.43-0.98, p = 0.04) compared to control. CONCLUSIONS: Hypertension in pregnancy may have a lower prevalence of placenta accrete. Further studies are required to validate these findings.

Objectives: α-tricalcium phosphate (α-TCP) and ß-dicalcium silicate (ß-C2S) have attracted much attention since these two types of self-curing Ca-phosphate and Ca-silicate are valuable biomaterials for bone defect or endodontic therapy. However, the injectable paste of their individual with high liquid/solid ratio is junior for root canal sealing due to very long self-setting time, low pH value and/or much volume shrinkage during paste-to-cement transformation. Methods: Our studies evaluated the effect of biphasic ratio, liquid/solid ratio and pH condition of aqueous medium on setting time and mechanical strength of this biphasic composite cement, and also the hydroxyapatite re-mineralization potential and anti-microleakage level of the cements with different α-TCP/ß-C2S ratio were explored in vitro. A control group free of paste filler was included in the extracted teeth model. Dentine re-mineralization and microleakage degree were observed by scanning electron microscopy and microCT reconstruction analysis. Results: It indicated that the weak acidic solution with pH value of 6.0 may produce a significantly shorter initial setting time (from 90 min to less 20 min) and expected final setting time (<150 min) for the biphasic composite (2:1 or 1:2) in comparison with the pure ß-C2S. Notably, the phasic composites exhibited limited microleakage and induced hydroxyapatite mineralization in the dentine tubules. These hydraulic pastes also produced strong alkaline feature and appreciable compressive resistance (12-18 MPa) after setting for a very short time stage. Moreover, a link between the addition of α-TCP leading to fast re-mineralization reaction was established. Significance: Our findings suggest that the appreciable self-setting and physicochemical properties adaption to root canal sealability make α-TCP/ß-C2S composites as preferential candidates for endodontic treatments.
RESUMO
It is still a challenge to overcome the extended setting process of pure Ca-silicate as root canal fillers. We investigated the effects of attapulgite (a basic hydrous silicate of magnesium and aluminum) and ball-milling liquid medium on the self-curing properties of conventional ß-dicalcium silicate (C2Si)-based cements. It was shown that a minor amount of attapulgite nanofibers (1-4%) had only a slight influence on setting time but caused a large increase in compressive resistance and structural stability. In particular, the ball milling media with different acetone/water ratios (3:0, 2:1, 1:2, 0:3) could directly influence the particle size distribution of C2Si powders, and the co-existence of liquid media (2:1 or 1:2) may be beneficial for shortening the setting time, enhancing early-stage compressive strength, and significantly improving the anti-microleakage ability of cement. Moreover, the composite cements also exhibited appreciable antibacterial efficacy in vitro. These findings demonstrated that the physicochemical properties of the Ca-silicate powders could be tuned by adding a minor amount of inorganic silicate nanofibers and a simple ball milling condition, and such a facile strategy is favorable for developing novel (pre-mixed) Ca silicate-based cements as root canal sealers.
RESUMO
A meta-analysis was performed to evaluate the potential relationship between hypertensive disease during pregnancy and placenta accreta. A systematic literature search in OVID, Embase, Cochrane Library, PubMed, and Google scholar up to May 2021 was done, and 4 studies were found including 47,353 pregnant women at the start of the study; 4283 of them had hypertensive disease during pregnancy and 493 had placenta accreta. They were reporting relationships between hypertensive disease during pregnancy and placenta accreta. The odds ratio (OR) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) was calculated to assess the potential relationship between hypertensive disease during pregnancy and placenta accreta using the dichotomous with a random or fixed-effect model. Hypertensive disease during pregnancy was significantly related to lower prevalence of placenta accreta (OR, 0.60; 95% CI, .38-.94, p = 0.03) compared with control (no hypertensive disease during pregnancy). When looking at the result comparing the prevalence of hypertensive disease during pregnancy in women with placenta accreta compared with control (no placenta accreta), we found that the placenta accreta was significantly related to lower prevalence of hypertensive disease during pregnancy (OR, 0.59; 95% CI, 0.38-0.94, p = 0.03) compared with control. Hypertensive disease during pregnancy may have a lower prevalence of placenta accreta. Further studies are required to validate these findings.

Nucleic acid is the main material for storing, copying, and transmitting genetic information. Gene sequencing is of great significance in DNA damage research, gene therapy, mutation analysis, bacterial infection, drug development, and clinical diagnosis. Gene detection has a wide range of applications, such as environmental, biomedical, pharmaceutical, agriculture and forensic medicine to name a few. Compared with Sanger sequencing, high-throughput sequencing technology has the advantages of larger output, high resolution, and low cost which greatly promotes the application of sequencing technology in life science research. Magnetic nanoparticles, as an important part of nanomaterials, have been widely used in various applications because of their good dispersion, high surface area, low cost, easy separation in buffer systems and signal detection. Based on the above, the application of magnetic nanoparticles in nucleic acid detection was reviewed.

Analyzing the association between fine particulate matter (PM2.5) pollution and socio-economic factors has become a major concern in public health. Since traditional analysis methods (such as correlation analysis and geographically weighted regression) cannot provide a full assessment of this relationship, the quantile regression method was applied to overcome such a limitation at different spatial scales in this study. The results indicated that merely 3% of the population and 2% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) occurred under an annually mean value of 35 µg/m³ in mainland China, and the highest population exposure to PM2.5 was located in a lesser-known city named Dazhou in 2014. The analysis results at three spatial scales (grid-level, county-level, and city-level) demonstrated that the grid-level was the optimal spatial scale for analysis of socio-economic effects on exposure due to its tiny uncertainty, and the population exposure to PM2.5 was positively related to GDP. An apparent upward trend of population exposure to PM2.5 emerged at the 80th percentile GDP. For a 10 thousand yuan rise in GDP, population exposure to PM2.5 increases by 1.05 person/km² at the 80th percentile, and 1.88 person/km2 at the 95th percentile, respectively.

This experiment focuses on the effect of Yunkang oral liquid on abortion rate, endocrine system and VEGF signal pathway in Clark classical recurrent abortion model mice. RSA mice were randomly divded into model group, low, middle and high-dose groups and progesterone group. The normal pregnancy mice were included into normal group. Since the first day of pregnancy, the normal group and the RSA model group were given the same dose of distilled water, while low, middle and high-dose groups were given Yunkang oral liquid at the dose of 9, 18, 36 mL·kg¹·d⻹; progesterone group were given progesterone by 0.039 g·kg¹·d⻹. The mice were put to deathat the 15th day of pregnancy, and the embryo loss rate of each group was observed. Serum estradiol (E2), progesterone (P), prolactin (PRL), luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) level were tested; the protein expressions of estrogen receptor(ER), progesterone receptor (PR), prolactin receptor (PRLR) in decidua and RAS, MAPK, VEGF, VEGFR-2 gene and protein expressions in deciduas were studied. The results showed that middle, high dose Yunkang and progesterone could significantly decrease the embryo loss rate of RSA mice. The levels of FSH, LH, PRL, P and E2 in serum in Yunkang and progesterone groups were increased, and the serum levels of FSH, LH, and E2 in Yunkang group were higher than those in progesterone group. Western blot analysis showed that Yunkang oral liquid and progesterone can significantly increase the expressions of PRLR, PR in the uterine decidua of RSA mice, and the expression of ER in Yunkang group was higher than that in progesterone group. Western blot and PCR showed that the Yunkang oral liquid and progesterone can significantly increase RAS, MAPK, VEGF, VEGFR-2 gene and protein expressions in the uterine decidua of RSA mice. The results showed that Yunkang oral liquid can effectively reduce the embryo loss rate of RSA model mice, increase the levels of FSH, LH, PRL, P and E2 in serum, promote the expressions of PRLR, PR, ER protein in decidua and the RAS, MAPK, VEGF, VEGFR-2 gene and protein expressions in the decidua, improve the vascular remodeling of fetal interface, the endometrial receptivty, the development of decidua and the blastocyst implantation.

To observe the efficacy of compound Dendrobium on Sprague Dawley rats (SD) hypertension model induced by "dietary disorders" and its relevant mechanism, totally 50 SD rats were fed with high-sugar, high-fat diet and alcohol for four weeks. According to the blood pressure after modeling, the rats were divided into model group, valsartan group (8 mg·kg⻹), low, medium and high-dose Dendrobium candidum compound groups (1.65, 3.30, 5.00 g·kg⻹), with 10 rats in each group, and the other 10 SD rats were also taken as the normal group. After four weeks of treatment, blood pressure was measured. Orbital blood was collected for the determination of serum cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL), calculation of atherosclerosis index (AI). Nitric acid reductase method was used to detect serum nitric oxide (NO); the levels of serum endothelin-1 (ET-1) and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) were measured by ELISA. The rats were put to death after the last administration, and the protein expressions of PI3K/AKT/eNOS in thoracic aorta of rats in each group were detected by Western blot. The aorta was separated and stained with hematoxylin-eosin (HE) to observe the changes in the endothelium and blood vessels in the thoracic aorta. Masson staining was used to observe the formation of aortic collagen. The expressions of nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) and ICAM-1 in aortic endothelial cells were observed by immunohistochemistry. In contrast, the results show D. candidum compound can significantly reduce the blood pressure in hypertensive rats, increase HDL-c, and reduce AI, while increasing serum NO content, decreasing ET-1 and ICAM-1 levels and promoting PI3K/AKT/NOS protein expressions. The lesion degree of the D. candidum compound group was reduced, and the collagen deposition was significantly reduced. Meanwhile, D. candidum compound can significantly increase the expression of eNOS, and reduce the formation of ICAM-1.Therefore, D. candidum compound has an obvious antihypertensive effect on hypertensive rats, which may be related to the increase in PI3K/AKT/eNOS signaling pathways and NO generation, the inhibition of the secretion of ICAM-1 and ET-1, the protection of the vascular endothelium and the improvement of aortic disease.

The eastern Himalayas, especially the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon Nature Reserve (YNR), is a global hotspot of biodiversity because of a wide variety of climatic conditions and elevations ranging from 500 to > 7000 m above sea level (a.s.l.). The mountain ecosystems at different elevations are vulnerable to climate change; however, there has been little research into the patterns of vegetation greening and their response to global warming. The objective of this paper is to examine the pattern of vegetation greening in different altitudinal zones in the YNR and its relationship with vegetation types and climatic factors. Specifically, the inter-annual change of the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) and its variation along altitudinal gradient between 1999 and 2013 was investigated using SPOT-VGT NDVI data and ASTER global digital elevation model (GDEM) data. We found that annual NDVI increased by 17.58% in the YNR from 1999 to 2013, especially in regions dominated by broad-leaved and coniferous forests at lower elevations. The vegetation greening rate decreased significantly as elevation increased, with a threshold elevation of approximately 3000 m. Rising temperature played a dominant role in driving the increase in NDVI, while precipitation has no statistical relationship with changes in NDVI in this region. This study provides useful information to develop an integrated management and conservation plan for climate change adaptation and promote biodiversity conservation in the YNR.

China has frequently been questioned about the data transparency and accuracy of its energy and emission statistics. Satellite-derived remote sensing data potentially provide a useful tool to study the variation in carbon dioxide (CO2) mass over areas of the earth's surface. In this study, Greenhouse gases Observing SATellite (GOSAT) tropospheric CO2 concentration data and NCEP/NCAR reanalysis tropopause data were integrated to obtain estimates of tropospheric CO2 mass variations over the surface of China. These variations were mapped to show seasonal and spatial patterns with reference to China's provincial areas. The estimates of provincial tropospheric CO2 were related to statistical estimates of CO2 emissions for the provinces and considered with reference to provincial populations and gross regional products (GRP). Tropospheric CO2 masses for the Chinese provinces ranged from 53 ± 1 to 14,470 ± 63 million tonnes were greater for western than for eastern provinces and were primarily a function of provincial land area. Adjusted for land area troposphere CO2 mass was higher for eastern and southern provinces than for western and northern provinces. Tropospheric CO2 mass over China varied with season being highest in July and August and lowest in January and February. The average annual emission from provincial energy statistics of CO2 by China was estimated as 10.3% of the average mass of CO2 in the troposphere over China. The relationship between statistical emissions relative to tropospheric CO2 mass was higher than 20% for developed coastal provinces of China, with Shanghai, Tianjin, and Beijing having exceptionally high percentages. The percentages were generally lower than 10% for western inland provinces. Provincial estimates of emissions of CO2 were significantly positively related to provincial populations and gross regional products (GRP) when the values for the provincial municipalities Shanghai, Tianjin, and Beijing were excluded from the linear regressions. An increase in provincial GRP per person was related to a curvilinear increase in CO2 emissions, this being particularly marked for Beijing, Tianjin, and especially Shanghai. The absence of detection of specific elevation of CO2 mass in the troposphere above these municipalities may relate to the rapid mixing and dispersal of CO2 emissions or the proportion of the depth of the troposphere sensed by GOSAT.
