RESUMO

Egg production plays a pivotal role in the economic viability of hens. To analyze the genetic rules of egg production, a total of 3151 Luhua chickens were selected, the egg production traits including egg weight at first laying (Start-EW), egg weight at 43 weeks (EW-43), egg number at 43 weeks (EN-43), and total egg number (EN-All) were recorded. Then, the effects of related factors on egg production traits were explored, using a multi-trait animal model for genetic parameter estimation and a genome-wide association study (GWAS). The results showed that body weight at first egg (BWFE), body weight at 43 weeks (BW-43), age at first egg (AFE), and seasons had significant effects on the egg production traits. Start-EW and EW-43 had moderate heritability of 0.30 and 0.21, while EN-43 and EN-All had low heritability of 0.13 and 0.16, respectively. Start-EW exhibited a robust positive correlation with EW-43, while Start-EW was negatively correlated with EN-43 and EN-All. Furthermore, gene ontology (GO) results indicated that Annexin A2 (ANXA2) and Frizzled family receptor 7 (FZD7) related to EW-43, Cyclin D1 (CCND1) and A2B adenosine receptor (ADORA2B) related to EN-All, and have been found to be mainly involved in metabolism and growth processes, and deserve more attention and further study. This study contributes to accelerating genetic progress in improving low heritability egg production traits in layers, especially in Luhua chickens.

RESUMO

Objective: Soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2 (sTREM2) is a potential neuroinflammatory biomarker linked to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Previous studies have produced inconsistent results regarding sTREM2 levels in various clinical stages of AD. This study aims to establish the correlation between sTREM2 levels and AD progression through a meta-analysis of sTREM2 levels in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and blood. Methods: Comprehensive searches were conducted in PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library to identify observational studies reporting CSF and blood sTREM2 levels in AD patients, MCI patients, and healthy controls. A random effects meta-analysis was used to calculate the standardized mean difference (SMD) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Results: Thirty-six observational studies involving 3,016 AD patients, 3,533 MCI patients, and 4,510 healthy controls were included. CSF sTREM2 levels were significantly higher in both the AD [SMD = 0.28, 95% CI (0.15, 0.41)] and MCI groups [SMD = 0.30, 95% CI (0.13, 0.47)] compared to the healthy control group. However, no significant differences in expression were detected between the AD and MCI groups [SMD = 0.09, 95% CI (-0.09, 0.26)]. Furthermore, increased plasma sTREM2 levels were associated with a higher risk of AD [SMD = 0.42, 95% CI (0.01, 0.83)]. Conclusion: CSF sTREM2 levels are positively associated with an increased risk of AD and MCI. Plasma sTREM2 levels were notably higher in the AD group than in the control group and may serve as a promising biomarker for diagnosing AD. However, sTREM2 levels are not effective for distinguishing between different disease stages of AD. Further investigations are needed to explore the longitudinal changes in sTREM2 levels, particularly plasma sTREM2 levels, during AD progression. RESUMO

Diclazuril (DIC) is a broad-spectrum anti-coccidiosis drug of the triazine class, widely used in poultry farming. The overuse of DIC may lead to its accumulation in animal bodies, which may enter the food chain and threaten human health. In this work, we fabricated a stable Eu3+-doped UiO-66 fluorescence sensor (EuUHIPA-30) for the sensitive detection of DIC. Among 20 veterinary drugs, the fluorescence of EuUHIPA-30 selectively responds to DIC, with a low detection limit (0.19 µM) and fast response (10 s). EuUHIPA-30 is recyclable and can detect DIC in chicken and eggs with good recoveries. Moreover, a smartphone-integrated paper-based sensor enables the instrument-free, rapid, visual, and intelligent detection of DIC in chickens and eggs. This work provides a promising candidate for practical fluorescent DIC sensing in animal-derived food to promote food safety.

RESUMO

Increasing the substrate concentration can effectively reduce energy consumption and result in more economic benefits in the industrial production of maltose, but this process remarkably increases the viscosity, which has a negative effect on saccharification. To improve saccharification efficiency, pullulanase is usually employed. In the conventional process of maltose production, pullulanase is added at the same time with ß-amylase or later, but this process seems inefficient when the substrate concentration is high. Herein, a novel method was introduced to enhance the maltose yield under high substrate concentration. The results indicated that the pullulanase pretreatment of highly concentrated maltodextrin solution for 2 h greatly affects the final conversion rate of ß-amylase-catalyzed saccharification. The maltose yield reached 80.95 %, which is 11.8 % above the control value. Further examination confirmed that pullulanase pretreatment decreased the number of branch points of maltodextrin and resulted in a high content of oligosaccharides. These linear chains were suitable for ß-amylase-catalyzed saccharification to produce maltose. This research offers a new effective and green strategy for starch sugar production.

RESUMO

The deposition of the extracellular matrix, especially collagen, and the elevated expression levels of reactive oxygen species, including H2O2, are the main features of fibrosis. Fibrosis can occur in many tissues, such as tumor and liver tissues. The deposition of collagen in the location of lesions not only leads to immunological rejection and supports liver fibrosis and tumor progression, but also provides unique physiological signals with the progression of fibrosis and tumor. However, at present, the detection of fibrosis, especially real time detection, is greatly difficult, making it important to develop noninvasive probes for the dynamic monitoring of fibrosis progression. Herein, we propose a H2O2 responsive macromolecular probe for collagen imaging with high sensitivity and specificity. This probe consists of a collagen-targeting peptide and a H2O2-sensitive and near-infrared (NIR)-emitting macromolecular optical probe, which could effectively bind to collagen both in vitro and in vivo in the region of tumor or fibrotic liver tissues, allowing for high sensitivity and noninvasive visualization of fibrotic tissues and real time monitoring of collagen degradation after anti-fibrotic drug treatment.

RESUMO

The photo-Fenton process provides a sustainable and cost-effective strategy for removing refractory organic contaminants in wastewater. Herein, a high-efficient Fe-doped g-C3N4 photocatalyst (Fe@CN10) with a unique 3D porous mesh structure was prepared by one-pot thermal polymerization for ultrafast degradation of azo dyes, antibiotics, and phenolic acids in heterogeneous photo-Fenton systems under visible light irradiation. Fe@CN10 exhibited a synergy between adsorption-degradation processes due to the co-existence of Fe3C and Fe3N active sites. Specifically, Fe3C acted as an adsorption site for pollutant and H2O2 molecules, while Fe3N acted as a photocatalytic active site for the high-efficient degradation of MO. Resultingly, Fe@CN10 showed a photocatalytic degradation rate of MO up to 140.32 mg/L min-1. The dominant ROS contributed to the removal of MO in the photo-Fenton pathway was hydroxyl radical (•OH). Surprisingly, as the key reactive species, singlet oxygen (1O2) generated from superoxide radical (•O2-) also efficiently attacked MO in a photo-self-Fenton pathway. Additionally, sponge/Fe@CN10 was prepared and filled in the continuous flow reactors for nearly 100% degradation of MO over 150 h when treating artificial organic wastewater. This work provided a facile route to prepare highly-active Fe-doped photocatalysts and develop a green photocatalytic system for wastewater treatment in the future.

RESUMO

The use of natural and safe ingredients in green food packaging material is a hot research topic. This study investigated the effect of different emulsifiers on starch film properties. Three types of emulsifiers, including Tween 80 as a small-molecule surfactant, sodium caseinate (CAS), whey protein isolate (WPI), and gelatin (GE) as macromolecule emulsifiers, whey protein isolate fibril (WPIF) as a particle emulsifier, were utilized to prepare Zanthoxylum bungeanum essential oil (ZBO) emulsions. The mechanical, physical, thermal, antibacterial properties, microstructure and essential oil release of starch films were investigated. CAS-ZBO nanoemulsion exhibited the smallest particle size of 198.6 ± 2.2 nm. The film properties changed with different emulsifiers. CAS-ZBO film showed the highest tensile strength value. CAS-ZBO and WPIF-ZBO films exhibited lower water vapor permeability than Tween-ZBO. CAS-ZBO film showed good dispersion of essential oil, the slowest release rate of essential oils in all food simulants, and the best antibacterial effect against Staphylococcus aureus and Listeria monocytogenes. The films composed of CAS-ZBO nanoemulsion, corn starch, and glycerol are considered more suitable for food packaging. This work indicated that natural macromolecule emulsifiers of CAS and WPIF are expected to be used in green food packaging material to offer better film properties.

RESUMO

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate clinical features and computed tomography (CT) manifestations of rifampicin primary drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture. Patients and Methods: A total of 100 inpatients with confirmed primary rifampicin-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis were recruited from January 2020 to December 2022 at an infectious disease hospital located in the Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture. Additionally, 100 inpatients with confirmed drug-susceptible pulmonary tuberculosis during the same period were matched to the rifampicin-resistant group based on gender, age, and ethnicity. The clinical characteristics of the two groups were recorded separately. Furthermore, the CT manifestations in these patients were independently analyzed by three radiologists. Results: The results showed that comorbid diabetes mellitus was more prevalent in the drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB) group than in the drug-susceptible tuberculosis (DS-TB) group (9% vs 0%, p=0.0032). In terms of imaging presentation, DR-TB patients exhibited a higher frequency of calcifications (55% vs 35.00%, p=0.0068), greater median number of cavities (5 vs 2, p=0.0027), and larger maximum cavity diameter (52.08±25.55 mm vs 42.72±17.48 mm, p=0.0097). Additionally, bilateral involvement was more common in DR-TB patients at the site of the lesion (89% vs 76%, p=0.0246), with a higher prevalence in the right middle (82% vs 68%, p=0.0332), right lower (82% vs 68%, p=0.0332), left upper (91% vs 77%, p=0.0113), and left lower lobes (92% vs 66%, p<0.0001). Conversely, the involvement of only one lobe was less frequent in patients with DR-TB than in those with DS-TB (4% vs 13%, p=0.0398), whereas the involvement of all five lobes was more common (68% vs 51%, p=0.0209). Conclusion: Patients with DR-TB exhibit a higher prevalence of severe imaging manifestations, highlighting the importance of CT in the early detection and diagnosis of DR-TB.

RESUMO

Dyslipidemia, a condition implying high cardiovascular risks, has been widely studied on its potential nutrition interventions, including functional foods. This study aims to examine the effect of nattokinase monascus supplements (NMSs) on cardiovascular biomarkers and carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) in patients with dyslipidemia. A total of 113 eligible subjects were randomly assigned to receive either NMSs or a placebo (55 and 58, respectively). After a 120-day intervention, there were significant mean absolute changes in total cholesterol (TC), low-density cholesterol (LDL-C), non-high-density cholesterol (non-HDL-C), and low-density cholesterol to high-density cholesterol ratio (LDL-C to HDL-C ratio), with values of -0.52 (95% CI: -0.51 to -0.54) mmol/L, -0.43 (95% CI: -0.45 to -0.41) mmol/L, -0.52 (95% CI: -0.52 to -0.52) mmol/L, and -0.29 (95% CI: -0.30 to -0.28) mmol/L, respectively, between the two groups. However, no significant differences were found in triglycerides (TGs), high-density cholesterol (HDL-C), and CIMT. Furthermore, the results for lipids and CIMT remained essentially unchanged after adjusting for various confounding factors using the analysis of covariance model. There were no significant differences in coagulation, liver function, renal function, or other indicators. No intervention-related adverse events, such as mouth ulcers, drooling, and stomach pain, were reported. The study results demonstrate that NMSs can ameliorate lipid levels (TC, LDL-C, non-HDL-C, and the LDL-C to HDL-C ratio) without the occurrence of adverse events. However, it did not significantly affect serum TG, HDL-C, and CIMT.

RESUMO

Polymer-based composites are considered promising candidates for bone repair as they possess some outstanding advantages over ceramic/metallic/polymeric biomaterials. Tantalum (Ta)/polyimide (PI) biocomposites (PT) containing 20 v% (PT20) and 40 v% (PT40) Ta nanoparticles were fabricated, and luteolin (LU) was loaded on PT40 (LUPT40). Compared with PT20 and PI, PT40 with a high Ta content displayed high surface behaviors (e.g., roughness, surface energy, and hydrophilicity). PT40 remarkably improved cell adhesion and multiplication, and LUPT40 with LU displayed further enhancement in vitro. Moreover, LUPT40 evidently boosted osteoblastic differentiation while suppressing osteoclastic differentiation. Furthermore, LUPT40 exhibited good antibacterial effects because of the slow release of LU. The in vivo results confirmed that PT40 markedly promoted bone formation and LUPT40 further enhanced bone formation/bone bonding. In brief, the incorporation of Ta particles improved the surface behaviors of PT40, which stimulated cell response/bone formation. Moreover, the slow release of LU from LUPT40 not only promoted cell response/bone formation but also enhanced bone bonding. The synergistic effects of Ta and LU release from LUPT40 enhanced bone formation/bone bonding. Therefore, LUPT40 would have great potential for the repair of bear-loading bone.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between active pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) by analysing the clinical features and computed tomography (CT) findings of patients with active pulmonary TB and comorbid T2DM (TB-DM) in the LiangShan Yi regions. METHODS: We collected data from 154 hospitalised patients with TB-DM initially confirmed at an infectious disease hospital in the Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture between 1 and 2019, and 31 December 2021. These were matched by sex and age ± 3 years to 145 hospitalised patients with initially confirmed pulmonary TB without comorbid T2DM (TB-NDM) over the same period. The clinical characteristics of the two groups were analysed separately. Three group-blinded radiologists independently analysed the CT findings and classified them into mild-to-moderate and severe groups. Severe chest CT lesion refers to a lesion that is less diffused or moderately dense and either exceeds the total volume of one lung, a high-density fused lesion greater than one-third of the volume of one lung, or a cavitary lesion with a maximum diameter ≥ 4 cm. RESULTS: No significant differences were observed in the presentation of clinical features. Regarding the severity of chest CT manifestation, patients with TB-DM had significantly more severe TB than those with TB-NDM (89.61% vs. 68.97%, P < 0.0001). Regarding CT findings, patients with TB-DM had higher proportions of consolidation (79.22% vs. 52.41%, P < 0.0001), cavitary lesions (85.06% vs. 59.31%, P < 0.0001), bronchiectasis (71.43% vs. 31.03%, P < 0.0001), exudative lesions (88.96% vs. 68.28%, P < 0.0001), and fibrous lesions (93.51% vs. 68.97%, P < 0.0001) than patients with TB-NDM. In conclusion, patients with TB-DM have more severe pulmonary TB CT findings than those without. There were no significant differences in the distribution of lesions in the lung lobes between TB-DM and TB-NDM patients. CONCLUSIONS: Among patients hospitalised with pulmonary TB, those with T2DM had more severe findings on chest CT than those without T2DM. However, the clinical presentation was not significantly different.

RESUMO

Microbial fuel cells (MFCs) have been demonstrated as a renewable energy strategy to efficiently recover chemical energy stored in wastewater into clean electricity, yet the limited power density limits their practical application. Here, Fe-doped carbon and nitrogen (Fe@CN) nanoparticles were synthesized by a direct pyrolysis process, which was further decorated to fabricate Fe@CN carbon paper anode. The modified Fe@CN anode with a higher electrochemically active surface area was not only benefit for the adhesion of electrochemically active microorganisms (EAMs) and extracellular electron transfer (EET) between the anode and EAMs but also selectively enriched Geobacter, a typical EAMs species. Accordingly, the MFCs with Fe@CN anode successfully achieved a highest voltage output of 792.76 mV and a prolonged stable voltage output of 300 h based on the mixed culture feeding with acetate. Most importantly, the electroactive biofilms on Fe@CN anode achieved more content ratio of proteins to polysaccharides (1.40) in extracellular polymeric substances for the balance between EET and cell protection under a harsh environment. This work demonstrated the feasibility of development on anode catalysts for the elaboration of the catalytic principle about interface modification, which may contribute to the practical application of MFC in energy generation and wastewater treatment.

RESUMO

Ferroptosis has been implicated in tumor progression and immunoregulation. Identification of ferroptosis-related prognostic gene is important for immunotherapy and prognosis in ovarian cancer (OV). We assessed the potential predictive power of a novel ferroptosis-related gene (FRG) signature for prognosis and immunotherapy in Asian and Caucasian OV populations. We collected gene expression profiles and clinicopathological data from public databases. The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator Cox regression algorithm was used to construct the FRG signature. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, Kaplan-Meier method, Cox regression model were used to evaluate the clinical benefits of FRG signature. Gene functional and gene set enrichment analyses were used for functional annotation and immune landscape analysis. A 15-FRG signature was constructed and used to stratify patients into two risk groups. Patients in the high-risk group had significantly worse survival. The risk score was a significant independent risk factor for OS. The area under the ROC curve indicated the good prediction performance of the FRG signature. Notably, the low-risk group showed a significant enrichment in immune-related pathways and a "hot" immune status. The risk score was found to be an efficient and robust predictor of response to immunotherapy. In conclusion, our study identified a novel 15-FRG prognostic signature that can be used for prognostic prediction and precision immunotherapy in Asian and Caucasian OV populations.

RESUMO

Objective: Obese or overweight is a risk factor for some chronic diseases, and oxidative stress and inflammation may be one of the molecular mechanisms leading to the persistence of these chronic diseases. Discovering interventions to alleviate oxidative stress and inflammation in the overweight/obese population, is very important for public health and health education. Methods: A two-week panel intervention study (Run 0-Run 1-Run 2) was conducted. The subjects were 77 overweight/obese undergraduates attending Dali University, with a BMI>24 kg/m2. The physical indices measured at the end of each run included BMI, waist circumference, serum ROS, TNF-α, IL-1ß and urinary 8-OHdG. Students were allocated to one of four intervention groups: No intervention (control); walking; taking vitamin C; and walking + taking vitamin C. Results: The results demonstrated (1) Walking significantly alleviated ROS levels, and this was consistent in Run 1 and Run 2; (2) During Run1, all three intervention modes reduced levels of 8-OHdG, but there was a statistically insignificant increase during Run 2; (3) No alleviating effects of the three intervention modes on TNF-α levels during Run 1 and Run 2 were observed; (4) The alleviating effects of the three intervention modes on IL-1ß levels during Run 1 and Run 2 were clear. Conclusion: Walking and taking vitamin C can reduce levels of ROS, 8-OHdG and IL-1ß, but not TNF-α, in overweight/obese participants. These interventions may become potential preventive measures for the overweight against obese-induced oxidative stress and inflammation.

RESUMO

How to use bioinformatics methods to quickly and accurately locate the effective targets of traditional Chinese medicine monomer (TCM) is still an urgent problem needing to be solved. Here, we used high-throughput sequencing to identify the genes that were up-regulated after cells were treated with TCM monomers and used bioinformatics methods to analyze which transcription factors activated these genes. Then, the binding proteins of these transcription factors were analyzed and cross-analyzed with the docking proteins predicted by small molecule reverse docking software to quickly and accurately determine the monomer's targets. Followeding this method, we predicted that the TCM monomer Daphnoretin (DT) directly binds to JAK2 with a binding energy of -5.43 kcal/mol, and activates the JAK2/STAT3 signaling transduction pathway. Subsequent Western blotting and in vitro binding and kinase experiments further validated our bioinformatics predictions. Our method provides a new approach for quickly and accurately locating the effective targets of TCM monomers, and we also have discovered for the first time that TCM monomer DT is an agonist of JAK2.

RESUMO

Tex264 is an endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane protein that was recently demonstrated to act as an ER-phagy receptor under starvation conditions to mediate endoplasmic reticulum autophagy. However, how Tex264 functions in the central nervous system (CNS) and tumors is unclear. Here, we identified 89 proteins from the rat brain that may specifically interact with Tex264 and confirmed the interaction between sorting nexin 27 (SNX27) and Tex264 by coimmunoprecipitation and immunofluorescence. Our results indicated that Tex264 may promote recycling of membrane proteins from endosomes to the cell plasma membrane by recruiting SNX27 retromer vesicles. siRNA-mediated knockdown of TEX264 in HeLa cells did not affect cell proliferation but did significantly inhibit cell migration through a mechanism that may involve a reduction in SNX27-mediated Itgα5 receptor membrane recycling. Results of this study helped identify potential binding Tex264 partners and provide insights into Tex264 functions in the CNS and in tumors.

RESUMO

In this work, γ-zein, which is a type of cysteine rich prolamine in corn, was prepared into particles for fabricating stable gel-like emulsions. The effects of homogenization pressure (0.1-120 MPa) on structure formation and rheological properties of emulsions were systematically studied. Microscopy showed that γ-zein particles provided stabilization at droplet interfaces, and that excess protein particles provided a particle network in continuous phase, and microfluidization significantly decreased droplet size and induced to form droplet clusters and gel-like network. With an increase of homogenization pressure, protein content adsorbed at droplet interfaces and entrapped within gel-like structure of emulsions increased, and more hydrophobic interactions and disulfide bonds between protein particles were formed. As a result, stronger gel strength of emulsions were observed, for example, apparent viscosity, storage modulus (G'), loss modulus (G''), and G'/ G'' crossover strain (γco) increased, the frequency dependency of G' (n, G' ∼ ωn) decreased. Also, Lissajous curves were used to further understand the non-linear viscoelastic behavior of these emulsions. Emulsions prepared without microfluidization (control, 0.1 MPa) showed a weak gel structure with viscous-dominating behavior at high strain, while emulsions prepared with microfluidization showed predominantly elastic behavior at low strain, and plastic-dominating behavior at high strain. These findings showed that cysteine rich protein based- emulsion gels with tunable microstructure and rheological properties can be easily produced by controlling the homogenization pressure.

RESUMO

Electroactive biofilms (EABs) play an important role in bioelectrochemical systems due to their abilities to generate electrons and perform extracellular electron transfer (EET). Here, we investigated the effects of quorum sensing (QS) signals on power output, chlortetracycline degradation, and structure of EABs in MFCs treating antibiotic wastewater. The voltage output of MFCs with C4-HSL and PQS increased by 21.57% and 13.73%, respectively, compared with that without QS signals. The chlortetracycline degradation efficiency in closed-circuit MFCs with C4-HSL and PQS increased by 56.53% and 50.04%, respectively, which resulted from the thicker biofilms, higher biomass, and stronger activities. Additionally, QS signals induced the heterogeneous distribution of EPS for a balance between self-protection and EET under environmental pressure. Geobacter prevailed by the addition of QS signals to resist high chlortetracycline concentration. Our results provided a broader understanding on regulating EABs within electrode interface to improve their performance for environmental remediation and clean energy development.

RESUMO

Nanomaterial-based lateral flow immunoassays (LFIAs) have been widely used for the on-site detection of genetically modified components. However, the practical applications are often limited by the complex matrix, such as in red samples. In this study, a thionine (Thi) labeling-based LFIA was developed for the first time to detect CP4-EPSPS protein. The optimal labeling concentration of Thi was 0.5 mg/mL, and the antibody could be rapidly coupled to Thi in 10 min. The visual limit of detection (vLOD) levels for transgenic soybean, sugar beet, and cotton containing the CP4-EPSPS protein reached 0.05%, 0.1%, and 0.1%, respectively, and had no interference from other proteins. After storage at 4 °C for three months, the LFIA sensitivity remained unchanged and showed good stability. This method could be used to screen and detect a variety of transgenic crops containing the CP4-EPSPS protein, and the results were consistent with the current standard assay. This study pioneered the development of an immunochromatographic method using Thi as a marker and applied it to the detection of the CP4-EPSPS protein in herbicide-tolerant transgenic crops. This provides a new method for the rapid immunoassay of Thi as a dye and has good prospects for practical application.

RESUMO

Genetically modified (GM) crops containing phosphinothricin acetyltransferase (PAT) protein has been widely planted worldwide. The development of a rapid method for detecting PAT protein is of great importance to food supervision. In this study, a simple label-free electrochemical immunosensor for the ultrasensitive detection of PAT protein was constructed using thionine (Thi)/gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) as signal amplification molecules and electrochemically active substances. Under optimum conditions, the limits of detection of the sensor for soybean A2704-12 and maize BT-176 were 0.02% and 0.03%, respectively. The sensor could detect crops containing PAT protein and had no cross-reaction with other proteins. After storage at 4°C for 33 days, the sensor still retained 82.5% of the original signal, with a relative standard deviation (RSD) of 0.92%. The recoveries of the sensor for soybean A2704-12 and maize BT-176 were 85%-108% and 98%-113%, respectively. The developed PAT-target immunosensor with high sensitivity, specificity, and satisfactory reproducibility and accuracy will be a useful tool in the trace screening of GM crops. Moreover, this design concept can be extended to other proteins by simply changing the antibody.
