RESUMO

Iodine-doped bromide perovskite single crystals (IBPSCs) have important applications in optoelectronic fields, such as in solar cells. Currently, much research has aimed to study the phase separation phenomenon and device performance improvements in IBPSCs. However, important intrinsic photoexcited carrier dynamics are often overlooked in IBPSCs. Here, we explored the photoexcited carrier dynamics in typical iodine-doped MAPbBr3 single crystals using the excitation intensity-dependent steady-state photoluminescence (PL) and time-resolved photoluminescence (TRPL) technique. We found that the trap state density changes with an increase in the amount of doped iodine. Further, we noticed that there is an influence of carrier diffusion on the photoexcited carrier dynamics, and then, we evaluated the carrier diffusion coefficients and recombination constants via numerical simulations of the PL kinetics. Consequently, we found that the electron shallow trap-related carrier behaviors substantially impacted the PL kinetics. Our results greatly facilitate a deeper understanding of the fundamental characteristics of mixed halide perovskite material.

RESUMO

Nowadays, the extensively used lead sulfide (PbS) quantum dot (QD) hole transport layer (HTL) relies on layer-by-layer method to replace long chain oleic acid (OA) ligands with short 1,2-ethanedithiol (EDT) ligands for preparation. However, the inevitable significant volume shrinkage caused by this traditional method will result in undesired cracks and disordered QD arrangement in the film, along with adverse increased defect density and inhomogeneous energy landscape. To solve the problem, a novel method for EDT passivated PbS QD (PbS-EDT) HTL preparation using small-sized benzoic acid (BA) as intermediate ligands is proposed in this work. BA is substituted for OA ligands in solution followed by ligand exchange with EDT layer by layer. With the new method, smoother PbS-EDT films with more ordered and closer QD packing are gained. It is demonstrated stronger coupling between QDs and reduced defects in the QD HTL owing to the intermediate BA ligand exchange. As a result, the suppressed nonradiative recombination and enhanced carrier mobility are achieved, contributing to ≈20% growth in short circuit current density (Jsc) and a 23.4% higher power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 13.2%. This work provides a general framework for layer-by-layer QD film manufacturing optimization.

RESUMO

Inorganic tin (Sn) perovskite nanocrystals offer a promising solution to the potential toxicity concerns associated with their established lead (Pb)-based counterparts. Yet, achieving their superior stability and optoelectronic properties remains an ongoing challenge. Here, we report a synthesis of high-symmetry α-phase CsSnI3 nanocrystals with an ultralong 278 ns carrier lifetime, exceeding previous benchmarks by 2 orders of magnitude through meticulous Sn(IV) control. The nanocrystals demonstrate excellent colloidal stability, uniform monodispersity, and a distinct exciton peak. Central to these outcomes is our designed solid-liquid antioxidation suspension of tri-n-octylphosphine (TOP) and zerovalent tin (Sn(0)) that fully addresses the unique coexisting oxygen-driven and solvent-driven Sn oxidation mechanisms in Sn perovskite nanocrystal synthesis. We uncover the largely undervalued function of TOP in mitigating oxygen-driven Sn oxidation and introduce Sn(0) powder to generate a synergistic antioxidation function with TOP, significantly reducing Sn(IV)-induced defects and distortions and contributing to enhanced optoelectronic properties. Strikingly, this approach also profoundly impacts inorganic Sn-Pb perovskite nanocrystals, boosting lifetimes by 2 orders of magnitude and increasing photoluminescence quantum yield over 100-fold to 35%. Our findings illuminate the potential of Sn-based nanocrystals for optoelectronic applications.

RESUMO

Further improvement of the performance and stability of inverted perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is necessary for commercialization. Here, ferrocene derivative dibenzoylferrocene (DBzFe) is used as an additive to enhance the performance and stability of MA- and Br- free PSCs. The results show that the introduction of DBzFe not only passivates the defects in the film but also inhibits the ion migration in the film. The final device achieves a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 23.53%, which is one of the highest efficiencies currently based on self-assembled monolayers (SAMs). Moreover, it maintains more than 96.4% of the original efficiency when running continuously for 400 h at the maximum power point.

RESUMO

This report is on the efficiency enhancement of wide bandgap lead halide perovskite solar cells (WBG Pb-PVK PSCs) consisting of FA0.8Cs0.2PbI1.8Br1.2 as the light-harvesting layer. WGB Pb-PVK PSCs have attracted attention as the top layer of all perovskite-tandem solar cells. Poly[bis(4-phenyl) (2,4,6-trimethylphenyl) amine] (PTAA), a conductive polymer, is always used as the hole transporting layer (HTL) for Pb-PVK PSCs. Nevertheless, the hydrophobic surface of the PTAA sometimes destroys the growth of the FA0.8Cs0.2PbI1.8Br1.2 film. On the other hand, the Fermi level of PTAA is not well matched with that of perovskite film. Thus, the PCE of the WBG Pb-based PSCs with PTAA as the HTL was not very high. In this report, the efficiency of the FA0.8Cs0.2PbI1.8Br1.2 is improved by passivating the surface of the PTAA with a monomolecular layer, where the surface becomes hydrophilic, and the band bending of the PTAA layer is improved to cause swift hole collection. Finally, WBG Pb-PVK PSCs (1.77 eV) with 16.52% efficiency are reported.

RESUMO

A deep understanding of the effect of the A-site cation cross-exchange on the hot-carrier relaxation dynamics in perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) has profound implications on the further development of disruptive photovoltaic technologies. In this study, the hot carrier cooling kinetics of pure FAPbI3 (FA+ , CH(NH2 )2 + ), MAPbI3 (MA+ , CH3 NH3 + + ), CsPbI3 (Cs+ , Cesium) and alloyed FA0.5 MA0.5 PbI3 , FA0.5 Cs0.5 PbI3 , and MA0.5 Cs0.5 PbI3 QDs are investigated using ultrafast transient absorption (TA) spectroscopy. The lifetimes of the initial fast cooling stage (<1 ps) of all the organic cation-containing PQDs are shorter than those of the CsPbI3 QDs, as verified by the electron-phonon coupling strength extracted from the temperature-dependent photoluminescence spectra. The lifetimes of the slow cooling stage of the alloyed PQDs are longer under illumination greater than 1 sun, which is ascribed to the introduction of co-vibrational optical phonon modes in the alloyed PQDs. This facilitated efficient acoustic phonon upconversion and enhanced the hot-phonon bottleneck effect, as demonstrated by first-principles calculations.

RESUMO

CsPbI3 quantum dots (QDs) are of great interest in new-generation photovoltaics (PVs) due to their excellent optoelectronic properties. The long and insulative ligands protect their phase stability and enable superior photoluminescence quantum yield, however, limiting charge transportation and extraction in PV devices. In this work, we use a fullerene derivative with the carboxylic anchor group ([SAM]C60) as the semiconductor ligand and build the type II heterojunction system of CsPbI3 QDs and [SAM]C60 molecules. We find their combination enables obvious exciton dislocation and highly efficient photogenerated charge extraction. After the introduction of [SAM]C60, the exciton-binding energy of CsPbI3 decreases from 30 meV to 7 meV and the fluorescence emission mechanism also exhibits obvious changes. Transient absorption spectroscopy visualizes a ~5 ps electron extraction rate in this system. The findings gained here may guide the development of perovskite QD devices.

RESUMO

Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowire (NW) based lead sulfide (PbS) quantum dot solar cells (QDSCs), i.e., bulk heterojunction QDSCs, have been widely investigated because of the excellent photoelectronic properties of PbS QDs and ZnO NWs. To further improve the efficiency of this type of QDSCs, various passivation methods are applied to ZnO NWs to suppress interface recombination caused by trap defects. However, the comparison among passivation using organic, inorganic, and inorganic-organic hybrid materials with different properties has been less studied. In this work, the effect of passivation with inorganic Mg-doped ZnO (ZMO), organic 1,2-ethanedithiol (EDT) and both of them on ZnO NWs and PbS QDSCs are investigated. As a result, ZnO NWs purely passivated by organic material EDT show the best performance with fewer surface defects and better matched energy level with the PbS QD layer. A nearly 1.7 times larger power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 6.9% is achieved for the solar device using ZnO NW @EDT, compared with that (4.1%) of the untreated one. The work provides a promising way to impede interlayer charge recombination and facilitate carrier transport, thus enhancing the photovoltaic performance of the device.

RESUMO

When an infectious disease spreads, how to quickly vaccinate with a limited budget per time step to reduce the impact of the virus is very important. Specifically, vaccination will be carried out in every time step, and vaccinated nodes will no longer be infected. Meanwhile, the protection from vaccination can spread to the neighbors of a vaccinated node. Our goal is to efficiently find optimal and approximation solutions to our problem with various algorithms. In this paper, we first design an integer linear program to solve this problem. We then propose approximation algorithms of (1) Linear programming (LP) deterministic threshold rounding, (2) LP dependent randomized rounding, and (3) LP independent randomized rounding. We prove that the LP independent randomized rounding algorithm has a high probability of finding a feasible solution that gives an approximation ratio of ( 1 - δ ) , where a small constant δ between 0 and 1 reduces the lower bound on the feasibility probability. We also provide experimental results for three different rounding algorithms to show that they perform numerically well in terms of approximation ratios. These analytical and numerical studies allow each individual to adopt the most appropriate approximation algorithm to efficiently resolve the vaccination problem when her reliance on commercial optimization solvers is costly.

RESUMO

The stochastic response of a fractional-order hybrid vibration energy harvester is investigated in this paper. Equivalent system can be derived by the variable transformation. Then, the probability density functions of mechanical states are obtained by the stochastic averaging technique. The good agreement between numerical simulation and analytical results demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed method. Mean square voltage, mean square current, and mean output power are presented to illustrate the device output performance. Results imply that the hybrid vibration energy harvesting system can generate higher mean output power than that from a separate piezoelectric system and an electromagnetic system.

RESUMO

Recently, all-inorganic halide perovskite (CsPbX3 , (X = Cl, Br, and I)) nanocrystals (NCs) based hybrid architectures have attracted extensive attention owing to their distinct luminescence characteristics. However, due to stress and lattice mismatch, it is still a challenge to construct heterojunctions between perovskite NCs and the nanostructures with different lattice parameters and non-cubic contour. In this work, a room temperature mechanochemical method is presented to construct TiO2 @CsPbBr3 hybrid architectures, in which TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) with a hard lattice as nano "balls" mill off the angles and anchor to the CsPbBr3 NCs with a soft lattice. On the contrary, to ball-mill without TiO2 or with conventional ceramics balls replacing TiO2 , CsPbBr3 NCs still maintain cubic contour deriving from their cubic crystal structures. Moreover, the TiO2 @CsPbBr3 architectures display distinct improvement of photoluminescence quantum yields and more excellent thermal stability in contrast with pristine CsPbBr3 owing to the passivation of surface defect, small surface area, and energy transfer from CsPbBr3 to TiO2 . Meanwhile, there is distinct luminous decay characteristic under the radiation of UV and visible light due to the "on" and "off" TiO2 response. The method provides an alternative strategy to acquire other anchoring heterojunctions based on perovskite NCs for further regulating their luminescent characteristics.

RESUMO

To the best of authors' knowledge, little work was referred to the study of a noisy vibro-impact oscillator with a fractional derivative. Stochastic bifurcations of a vibro-impact oscillator with two kinds of fractional derivative elements driven by Gaussian white noise excitation are explored in this paper. We can obtain the analytical approximate solutions with the help of non-smooth transformation and stochastic averaging method. The numerical results from Monte Carlo simulation of the original system are regarded as the benchmark to verify the accuracy of the developed method. The results demonstrate that the proposed method has a satisfactory level of accuracy. We also discuss the stochastic bifurcation phenomena induced by the fractional coefficients and fractional derivative orders. The important and interesting result we can conclude in this paper is that the effect of the first fractional derivative order on the system is totally contrary to that of the second fractional derivative order.

RESUMO

The Poisson white noise, as a typical non-Gaussian excitation, has attracted much attention recently. However, little work was referred to the study of stochastic systems with fractional derivative under Poisson white noise excitation. This paper investigates the stationary response of a class of quasi-linear systems with fractional derivative excited by Poisson white noise. The equivalent stochastic system of the original stochastic system is obtained. Then, approximate stationary solutions are obtained with the help of the perturbation method. Finally, two typical examples are discussed in detail to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. The analysis also shows that the fractional order and the fractional coefficient significantly affect the responses of the stochastic systems with fractional derivative.

RESUMO

ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE: Shexiang Baoxin Pill (SBP) is a well-known composite formula of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), widely used to treat cardiovascular diseases such as angina pectoris and myocardial infarction. Bufadienolides are major active compounds of Venenum Bufonis, which is one of the seven materiamedicas that comprise the Shexiang Baoxin Pill. Previous pharmacokinetics studies of bufadienolides have typically used a single medicinal material delivered to rats. In this study, we have chosen the mouse, a more proper animal model than the rat, to investigate the in vivo pharmacokinetics and tissue distribution of bufadienolides from the Shexiang Baoxin Pill. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The concentrations of bufadienolides in plasma and tissues were identified using high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-ESI-MS/MS). The samples were prepared by liquid-liquid extraction with ethyl acetate, and the separation of bufadienolides was achieved using an ACQUITY HSS T3 column by gradient elution using water (containing 0.1% formic acid) and acetonitrile as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 0.3 mL/min. The pharmacokinetic parameters were determined using non-compartmental analysis. RESULTS: The results showed that the five bufadienolides were rapidly absorbed and distributed into the body. The pharmacokinetic curve showed double peaks after oral administration. The major tissue depots for resibufogenin, bufalin, and bufotalin in mice were the intestines, lung and kidney, whereas the major tissue depots of gamabufotalin and arenobufagin were the intestines, liver and kidney. CONCLUSION: The information gained from this research provides a meaningful insight for the clinical applications of the Shexiang Baoxin Pill.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the pharmacokinetics of Ambroxol and Clenbuterol Tablets in Chinese healthy volunteers after a single or multiple dosages oral administration. METHODS: A total of 9 healthy adult subjects were given Ambroxol and Clenbuterol Tablets in a single dosage or multiple dosages respectively. LC/MS/MS were used for the determination of Ambroxol and Clenbuterol of in plasma. The important pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated by DAS 2.0 software (compartment model). RESULTS: Single and multiple dosage groups of Ambroxol and Clenbuterol were all fitted two-compartment model. The pharmacokinetics fitted first order kinetics process. No difference in pharmacokinetics of Ambroxol in single and multiple dosage groups volunteers was observed, Which showed no marked changes, suggesting that multiple dosing did not influence the velocity of drug metabolism. Moreover, parameters of Clenbuterol had significant difference between the single and multiple dosage groups (P<0.05), showing there was accumulation in the body. 9 subjects had completed single or multiple dosages oral administration test, with no adverse drug reactions appeared during the test. CONCLUSION: There was no obvious accumulation of Ambroxol after repeated dosing. But obvious accumulation of Clenbuterol was noted in multiple-dose administration. The established method is sensitive, accurate, reliable and specific, and it can meet the requirement of clinical pharmacokinetic trial.

RESUMO

(E)-2-(1-hydroxyl-4-oxocyclohexyl) ethyl caffeine (HOEC), a naturally caffeic ester isolated from Incarvillea mairei, has been reported to possess anti-inflammatory activity by targeting 5-lipoxygenase. However, its other potential activities have yet to be explored. In this study, we measured antioxidant activity of HOEC using the DPPH free radical-scavenging assay. Then, we exposed rat pheochromocytoma (PC12) cells to hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)-induced damage and investigated the antioxidant activity of HOEC. Cell viability, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) release, cellular morphology, Hoechst 33342 fluorescent staining, and apoptosis of the PC12 cells were assessed after treatment with 0.3-10 µM HOEC for 2 h and exposure to 600 µM H2O2. Additionally, glutathione reductase (GR), superoxide dismutase (SOD), lipid peroxidation malondialdehyde (MDA), and intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation were assayed after the PC12 cells were exposed to H2O2. To investigate mechanism, apoptosis-related protein were evaluated, including cleaved caspase 3/7, cleaved PARP, Bcl-2, Bcl-XL, and cytochrome c. The results showed that HOEC possessed potent antioxidant activity and pre-treatment with HOEC prior to H2O2 exposure significantly increased cell viability, reduced the release of LDH, ameliorated changes in cell morphology, and inhibited apoptosis. Further, HOEC did the following: reduced intracellular accumulation of ROS and MDA; rescued loss of SOD and GR activities; inhibited activated caspase-3 and caspase-7, cleaved PARP, and cytochrome c release; up-regulated the antiapoptosis-related protein Bcl-2 and Bcl-XL; and down-regulated the apoptosis-related proteins Bax and Bad. These findings suggested that HOEC may be a therapeutic agent for treating oxidative stress-derived neurodegenerative disorders.

RESUMO

Shexiang Baoxin pills (SBP) are a traditional Chinese medicine that are used for treating coronary heart disease. Ginsenosides are the main effective components of SBP, but a comprehensive and deep pharmacokinetic study of ginsenosides in SBP, including multiple dosing and linear or nonlinear properties, is lacking. This study was designed to investigate and compare the pharmacokinetic characteristics of ginsenosides in SBP at a single dose and in multiple doses. A liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method was developed for the simultaneous determination of the ginsenosides Rg1, Re, Rb3, Rc and Rb1 in rat plasma. Rats were randomly assigned to receive a single dose of 4, 8 or 12 g/kg and multiple doses (4 g/kg) of SBP for 8, 15 or 22 consecutive days. The results revealed that ginsenosides, following a single oral dose of 4 or 8 g/kg, were absorbed rapidly, with a Tmax ranging from 0.250 to 1.08 h. The AUC0-t and Cmax of the ppd-type ginsenosides Rb3, Rc and Rb1 were greater than those of the ppt-type ginsenosides Rg1 and Re. Nondose-dependent exposure was observed at doses of 4-12 g/kg for all of the ginsenosides. After multiple dosing, the plasma levels of the ppt-type ginsenosides decreased, whereas those of the ppd-type ginsenosides did not change significantly. In conclusion, the LC-MS/MS method was successfully applied to investigate the pharmacokinetics of ginsenosides after single and multiple oral administrations of SBP. The ginsenosides did not accumulate after multiple dosing. The ppd-type ginsenosides displayed more favorable pharmacokinetic properties compared with the ppt-type ginsenosides.

RESUMO

The aim of the present study was to investigate the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic characteristics of febuxostat following the administration of single and multiple oral doses under fasting conditions to healthy individuals. Thirty-six healthy subjects were randomly divided into three groups, each containing 12 subjects (six male and six female) as follows: Group A, treated with a single oral dose of febuxostat (40 mg); group B, treated with a single oral dose of febuxostat (80 mg) followed by multiple oral doses of febuxostat for 7 days; and group C, treated with a single oral dose of febuxostat (120 mg). Blood samples were collected, and the plasma drug levels and serum uric acid (UA) concentrations were determined by clinical laboratory testing. Febuxostat displayed a linear pharmacokinetic profile for oral doses of 40 to 120 mg. Drug accumulation was not detected following multiple oral doses. When febuxostat was administered as single doses of 40, 80 and 120 mg, the 24-h UA concentration (UA24) values displayed a linear correlation with the dosage. The relationship between UA24 and the three single dose levels (40, 80 and 120 mg) was analyzed. The difference in UA24 between every single dose was significant (P<0.05). After 3 and 7 days of dosing, reductions of 46.67 and 52.69%, respectively, were observed in UA24. On day 7 of dosing, the mean reduction in the UA concentration was 51.83±7.00%. This study demonstrates that febuxostat reduces serum UA concentrations in a dose-linear manner.
