RESUMO

The universal programmed construction of patterned periodic self-assembled nanostructures is a technical challenge in DNA origami nanotechnology but has numerous potential applications in biotechnology and biomedicine. In order to circumvent the dilemma that traditional DNA origami requires a long unusual single-stranded virus DNA as the scaffold and hundreds or even thousands of short strands as staples, we report a method for constructing periodically-self-folded rolling circle amplification products (RPs). The repeating unit is designed to have 3 intra-unit duplexes (inDP1,2,3) and 2 between-unit duplexes (buDP1,2). Based on the complementary pairing of bases, RPs each can self-fold into a periodic grid-patterned ribbon (GR) without the help of any auxiliary oligonucleotide staple. Moreover, by using only an oligonucleotide bridge strand, the GRs are connected together into the larger and denser planar nano-fence-shaped product (FP), which substantially reduces the number of DNA components compared with DNA origami and eliminates the obstacles in the practical application of DNA nanostructures. More interestingly, the FP-based DNA framework can be easily functionalized to offer spatial addressability for the precise positioning of nanoparticles and guest proteins with high spatial resolution, providing a new avenue for the future application of DNA assembled framework nanostructures in biology, material science, nanomedicine and computer science that often requires the ordered organization of functional moieties with nanometer-level and even molecular-level precision.

ChIP-qPCR offers the opportunity to identify interactions of DNA-binding proteins such as transcription factors and their respective DNA binding sites. Thereby, transcription factors can interfere with gene expression, resulting in up- or downregulation of their target genes. Utilizing ChIP, it is possible to identify specific DNA binding sites that are bound by the DNA-binding proteins in dependence on treatment or prevailing conditions. During ChIP, DNA-binding proteins are reversibly cross-linked to their DNA binding sites and the DNA itself is fragmented. Using bead-captured antibodies, the target proteins are isolated while still binding their respective DNA response element. Using quantitative PCR, these DNA fragments are amplified and quantified. In this protocol, DNA binding sites of the glucocorticoid receptor are identified by treatment with the synthetic glucocorticoid Dexamethasone in murine bone marrow-derived macrophages.

The Communicative Effectiveness Index (CETI) is an informant rating scale designed to measure changes in functional communication in people with aphasia (PWA) from the carer's perspective. It offers a comprehensive view of aphasia's impact on everyday communication situations, aiding clinicians in designing personalized intervention plans. The aim of this study was to translate and adapt the CETI into Greek (CETI-GR) and validate its psychometric properties. The CETI-GR was translated into Greek using back-translation. A pilot and a content validity study ensured its acceptability. The study involved 30 people with aphasia and 30 carers. The CETI-GR's psychometric properties were evaluated, including internal consistency, test-retest reliability, inter-rater reliability, and validity measures. The CETI-GR demonstrated excellent internal consistency (Cronbach's α > 0.95) and excellent inter-rater reliability (ICC ≥ 0.93). Excellent consistency was revealed when testing the CETI responses given only by PWA (α = 0.91) versus their carers (α = 0.97). Test-retest reliability was high (ICC = 0.88). Significant correlations between the CETI-GR and measures of language severity, functional communication, and quality of life supported convergent validity. The CETI-GR is a reliable tool for assessing functional communication in chronic aphasia. Its Greek adaptation enhances aphasia rehabilitation, enabling person-centered care and improving the quality of life for people with aphasia and carers.

Cortisol is a clinically validated stress biomarker that takes part in many physiological and psychological functions related to the body's response to stress factors. In particular, it has emerged as a pivotal tool for understanding stress levels and overall well-being. Usually, in clinics, cortisol levels are monitored in blood or urine, but significant changes are also registered in sweat and saliva. In this work, a surface plasmon resonance probe based on a D-shaped plastic optical fiber was functionalized with a glucocorticoid receptor exploited as a highly efficient bioreceptor specific to cortisol. The developed plastic optical fiber biosensor was tested for cortisol detection in buffer and artificial saliva. The biosensor response showed very good selectivity towards other hormones and a detection limit of about 59 fM and 96 fM in phosphate saline buffer and artificial saliva, respectively. The obtained detection limit, with a rapid detection time (about 5 min) and a low-cost sensor system, paved the way for determining the cortisol concentration in saliva samples without any extraction process or sample pretreatment via a point-of-care test.

Social status directly affects the health of humans and other animals. Low status individuals receive more antagonistic encounters, have fewer supportive relationships and have worse health outcomes. However, the physiological and cellular processes that mediate the relationship between the social environment and health are incompletely known. Epigenetic regulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, the neuroendocrine pathway that activates in response to stressors, may be one process that is sensitive to the social environment. Here, we experimentally manipulated plumage, a key social signal in female tree swallows (Tachycineta bicolor) and quantified methylation of four genes in the HPA axis before and after treatment. We found that dulling the white breast plumage affected methylation in one gene, CRHR1; however, the effect depended on the original brightness of the bird. Methylation in this gene was correlated with baseline corticosterone levels, suggesting that DNA methylation of CRHR1 helps regulate glucocorticoid production in this species. Methylation in two other genes, FKBP5 and GR, changed over the course of the experiment, independent of treatment. These results show that methylation of these genes is labile into adulthood and suggest that epigenetic regulation of the HPA axis could help birds respond to current environmental conditions.

Cerebral ischemia-induced systemic inflammation and inflammasome-dependent pyroptotic cell death in ileum, causing serious intestinal injury. Glucocorticoid receptor (GR) mediates the effects of glucocorticoids and participates in inflammation. Escin has corticosteroid-like, neuroprotective, and anti-intestinal dysfunction effects. This study aimed to investigate the effect of Escin on the intestinal barrier injury in rats subjected to middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) and on Caco-2 cells exposed to lipopolysaccharides. The MCAO-caused brain injury was evaluated by assessing neurological function, cerebral infarct volume, and plasma corticosterone (Cort) levels. Intestinal injury was evaluated by observing the histopathological changes, assessing the intestinal barrier function, and determining blood FD4, endotoxin and IL-1ß levels. The levels of the tight-junction proteins such as claudin-1, occludin, and ZO-1, and proteins involved in the GR/p38 MAPK/NF-κB pathway and NLRP3-inflammasome activation were evaluated using western blotting or immunofluorescence. Administration of Escin suppressed the cerebral ischemia-induced increases in Garcia-test scores and infarct volume, alleviated the injury to the intestinal barrier, and decreased the levels of Cort, endotoxin, and IL-1ß. Additionally, Escin upregulated GR and downregulated phospho(p)-p65, p-p38MAPK, NLRP3, GSDMD-N, and cleaved-caspase-1 in the intestine. The effects of Escin could be suppressed by the GR antagonist RU486 or enhanced by the p38 MAPK antagonist SB203580. We revealed details how Escin improves cerebral ischemia-induced intestinal barrier injury by upregulating GR and thereby inhibiting the pyroptosis induced by NF-κB-mediated NLRP3 activation. This study will provide a experimental foundation for the features of glucocorticoid-like activity and the discovery of new clinical application for Escin.

Introduction: Unlike white adipose tissue depots, bone marrow adipose tissue (BMAT) expands during caloric restriction (CR). Although mechanisms for BMAT expansion remain unclear, prior research suggested an intermediary role for increased circulating glucocorticoids. Methods: In this study, we utilized a recently described mouse model (BMAd-Cre) to exclusively target bone marrow adipocytes (BMAds) for elimination of the glucocorticoid receptor (GR) (i.e. Nr3c1) whilst maintaining GR expression in other adipose depots. Results: Mice lacking GR in BMAds (BMAd-Nr3c1 -/-) and control mice (BMAd-Nr3c1 +/+) were fed ad libitum or placed on a 30% CR diet for six weeks. On a normal chow diet, tibiae of female BMAd-Nr3c1-/- mice had slightly elevated proximal trabecular metaphyseal bone volume fraction and thickness. Both control and BMAd-Nr3c1-/- mice had increased circulating glucocorticoids and elevated numbers of BMAds in the proximal tibia following CR. However, no significant differences in trabecular and cortical bone were observed, and quantification with osmium tetroxide and µCT revealed no difference in BMAT accumulation between control or BMAd-Nr3c1 -/- mice. Differences in BMAd size were not observed between BMAd-Nr3c1-/- and control mice. Interestingly, BMAd-Nr3c1-/- mice had decreased circulating white blood cell counts 4 h into the light cycle. Discussion: In conclusion, our data suggest that eliminating GR from BMAd has minor effects on bone and hematopoiesis, and does not impair BMAT accumulation during CR.

Li-ion batteries based on high specific capacity LixSiO-Graphite anodes and LiNi0.89Co0.05 Mn0.05Al0.01O2 (NCMA) cathodes may have numerous practical applications owing to high energy density without a necessary compromise on safety. SiO, which is an attractive Li insertion anode material, offers more cycling stability than Si and a higher capacity than graphite. Therefore, a new trend has emerged for developing composite C-Si anodes, possessing the excellent cyclability of graphite coupled with high capacity SiO. The composite structure described herein prevents the volume expansion of SiO and maintains the structural integrity during prolonged cycling. However, graphite electrodes suffer from exfoliation in propylene carbonate (PC) based electrolyte solutions, which avoids well known safety benefits related to a possible use of PC based electrolyte solutions in all kinds of Li batteries. Herein, it is reported that trifluoro propylene carbonate (TFPC) is compatible with graphite anodes. New electrolyte formulations are developed and tested containing fluorinated co-solvents and compared the performance of several electrolyte solutions, including conventional alkyl carbonates-based solutions in full Li-ion cells, which included LixSiO-Graphite anodes and LiNi0.89Co0.05Mn0.05Al0.01O2 (NCMA) cathodes. Cells with new electrolyte solutions developed herein demonstrated nearly twice capacity retention in prolonged cycling experiments compared to similar reference cells containing conventional electrolyte solutions.

Aim: To evaluate the impact of COVID-19 on the clinical training of paediatric trainees during the pandemic at a regional hospital in Victoria, Australia. Methods: In response to a survey and feedback from paediatric trainees, a retrospective analysis was conducted to investigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on medical staff attendance at onsite training in the Department of Paediatrics at a regional hospital in Victoria. The study spanned from January 2019 to December 2021. Variables collected included the number of participants attending the paediatric clinical and education meetings. A comparative analysis of attendance during the pre-COVID-19 year (2019) and the COVID-19 years (2020-2021) was conducted. Results: The total number of meetings held was 292 in 2019, which declined to 184 in 2020 and further declined to 171 in 2021, with a minimal increase in existing virtual meetings. The total attendance in paediatric clinical meetings dropped from 2190 attendees in 2019 to 1332 in 2020, and further declined to 1230 in 2021. Paediatric registrar attendance was 477 in 2019, which decreased by 29.35% to 330 in 2020 and further decreased by 38.57% to 293 in 2021. Paediatric hospital medical officer attendance showed the worst trend among paediatric trainees, with 445 attending clinical meetings in 2019 and decreasing by 50.78% to 219 in 2020 and a 52.58% decrease to 211 in 2021. Conclusion: The sudden outbreak of COVID-19 led to significant disruptions in medical education globally. This study showed a noticeable reduction in paediatric departmental clinical meetings and teaching sessions during the pandemic, as well as a significant decline in attendance by paediatric trainees and medical students. These findings confirm the experiences of paediatric trainees, who reported losing valuable teaching opportunities due to the pandemic and a demand for attention.

INTRODUCTION: Relacorilant (CORT125134, Corcept Therapeutics) is a selective glucocorticoid receptor modulator, which reverses the glucocorticoid-mediated anti-apoptotic effects and restores the taxane chemosensitivity in epithelial ovarian cancer cells. Given those preclinical findings, relacorilant is currently under investigation in clinical trials in combination with nab-paclitaxel for the platinum-resistant ovarian cancer setting. AREAS COVERED: Already published preclinical and clinical evidence of relacorilant antitumor activity was analyzed and discussed. Ongoing clinical trials registered on clincaltrials.gov were also reported. The review aimed to summarize the status of relacorilant, the mechanism of action, the published and ongoing trials, and its safety and efficacy. EXPERT OPINION: Relacorilant combined with nab-paclitaxel, may represent a promising strategy for the treatment of platinum-resistant ovarian cancer patients. After preliminary positive results in terms of clinical efficacy, a randomized phase III trial is ongoing to confirm the findings from the published phase II study.

INTRODUCTION: The etiology of schizophrenia (SCZ), an incredibly complex disorder, remains multifaceted. Literature suggests the involvement of oxidative stress (OS) in the pathophysiology of SCZ. OBJECTIVES: Determination of selected OS markers and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in patients with chronic SCZ and those in states predisposing to SCZ-first episode psychosis (FP) and ultra-high risk (UHR). MATERIALS AND METHODS: Determination of OS markers and BDNF levels by spectrophotometric methods and ELISA in 150 individuals (116 patients diagnosed with SCZ or in a predisposed state, divided into four subgroups according to the type of disorder: deficit schizophrenia, non-deficit schizophrenia, FP, UHR). The control group included 34 healthy volunteers. RESULTS: Lower activities of analyzed antioxidant enzymes and GSH and TAC concentrations were found in all individuals in the study group compared to controls (p < 0.001). BDNF concentration was also lower in all groups compared to controls except in the UHR subgroup (p = 0.01). Correlations were observed between BDNF, R-GSSG, GST, GPx activity, and disease duration (p < 0.02). A small effect of smoking on selected OS markers was also noted (rho<0.06, p < 0.03). CONCLUSIONS: OS may play an important role in the pathophysiology of SCZ before developing the complete clinical pattern of the disorder. The redox imbalance manifests itself with such severity in individuals with SCZ and in a state predisposing to the development of this psychiatric disease that natural antioxidant systems become insufficient to compensate against it completely. The discussed OS biomarkers may support the SCZ diagnosis and predict its progression.

GGGGCC (G4C2) repeat expansion in C9ORF72 is the most common genetic cause of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). How this genetic mutation leads to neurodegeneration remains largely unknown. Using CRISPR-Cas9 technology, we deleted EXOC2, which encodes an essential exocyst subunit, in induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) derived from C9ORF72-ALS/FTD patients. These cells are viable owing to the presence of truncated EXOC2, suggesting that exocyst function is partially maintained. Several disease-relevant cellular phenotypes in C9ORF72 iPSC-derived motor neurons are rescued due to, surprisingly, the decreased levels of dipeptide repeat (DPR) proteins and expanded G4C2 repeats-containing RNA. The treatment of fully differentiated C9ORF72 neurons with EXOC2 antisense oligonucleotides also decreases expanded G4C2 repeats-containing RNA and partially rescued disease phenotypes. These results indicate that EXOC2 directly or indirectly regulates the level of G4C2 repeats-containing RNA, making it a potential therapeutic target in C9ORF72-ALS/FTD.

The articles on the history of Russian pulmonology presented in the historical, medical and therapeutic literature contain materials for this history, but their authors did not solve the problem of its consistent presentation, highlighting the stages of formation and founders. The authors of this study critically reviewed the literary and archival primary sources, for the first time proposed the identification of three stages in the development of Russian pulmonology and indicated eight of its founders at these stages. The abundance of material did not allow us to present it in one article. This article is devoted to the 1st stage of the history of pulmonology - the formation of the doctrine of lung diseases. The second (development of pulmonology as an independent scientific direction in internal diseases) and the third (organizational design of pulmonology as a new independent clinical scientific and educational discipline and medical specialty, i.e. its institutionalization) stages will be discussed in the next articles.

Accumulating evidence suggests that prenatal stress (PNS) increases offspring susceptibility to depression, but the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. We constructed a mouse model of prenatal stress by spatially restraining pregnant mice from 09:00-11:00 daily on Days 5-20 of gestation. In this study, western blot analysis, quantitative real-time PCR (qRT‒PCR), immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), and mifepristone rescue assays were used to investigate alterations in the GR/P300-MKP1 and downstream ERK/CREB/TRKB pathways in the brains of prenatally stressed offspring to determine the pathogenesis of the reduced neurogenesis and depression-like behaviors in offspring induced by PNS. We found that prenatal stress leads to reduced hippocampal neurogenesis and depression-like behavior in offspring. Prenatal stress causes high levels of glucocorticoids to enter the fetus and activate the hypothalamic‒pituitary‒adrenal (HPA) axis, resulting in decreased hippocampal glucocorticoid receptor (GR) levels in offspring. Furthermore, the nuclear translocation of GR and P300 (an acetylation modifying enzyme) complex in the hippocampus of PNS offspring increased significantly. This GR/P300 complex upregulates MKP1, which is a negative regulator of the ERK/CREB/TRKB signaling pathway associated with depression. Interestingly, treatment with a GR antagonist (mifepristone, RU486) increased hippocampal GR levels and decreased MKP1 expression, thereby ameliorating abnormal neurogenesis and depression-like behavior in PNS offspring. In conclusion, our study suggested that the regulation of the MKP1 signaling pathway by GR/P300 is involved in depression-like behavior in prenatal stress-exposed offspring and provides new insights and ideas for the fetal hypothesis of mental health.

Iron- and reactive oxygen species (ROS)-dependent ferroptosis occurs in plant cells. Ca2+ acts as a conserved key mediator to control plant immune responses. Here, we report a novel role of cytoplasmic Ca2+ influx regulating ferroptotic cell death in rice immunity using pharmacological approaches. High Ca2+ influx triggered iron-dependent ROS accumulation, lipid peroxidation, and subsequent hypersensitive response (HR) cell death in rice (Oryza sativa). During Magnaporthe oryzae infection, 14 different Ca2+ influx regulators altered Ca2+, ROS and Fe2+ accumulation, glutathione reductase (GR) expression, glutathione (GSH) depletion and lipid peroxidation, leading to ferroptotic cell death in rice. High Ca2+ levels inhibited the reduction of glutathione isulphide (GSSG) to GSH in vitro. Ca2+ chelation by ethylene glycol-bis (2-aminoethylether)-N, N, N', N'-tetra-acetic acid (EGTA) suppressed apoplastic Ca2+ influx in rice leaf sheaths during infection. Blocking apoplastic Ca2+ influx into the cytoplasm by Ca2+ chelation effectively suppressed Ca2+-mediated iron-dependent ROS accumulation and ferroptotic cell death. By contrast, acibenzolar-S-methyl (ASM), a plant defense activator, significantly enhanced Ca2+ influx, as well as ROS and iron accumulation to trigger ferroptotic cell death in rice. The cytoplasmic Ca2+ influx through calcium-permeable cation channels, including the putative resistosomes, could mediate iron- and ROS-dependent ferroptotic cell death under reduced GR expression levels in rice immune responses.

The IVa subfamily of glycine-rich proteins (GRPs) comprises a group of glycine-rich RNA binding proteins referred to as GR-RBPa here. Previous studies have demonstrated functions of GR-RBPa proteins in regulating stress response in plants. However, the mechanisms responsible for the differential regulatory functions of GR-RBPa proteins in different plant species have not been fully elucidated. In this study, we identified and comprehensively studied a total of 34 GR-RBPa proteins from five plant species. Our analysis revealed that GR-RBPa proteins were further classified into two branches, with proteins in branch I being relatively more conserved than those in branch II. When subjected to identical stresses, these genes exhibited intensive and differential expression regulation in different plant species, corresponding to the enrichment of cis-acting regulatory elements involving in environmental and internal signaling in these genes. Unexpectedly, all GR-RBPa genes in branch I underwent intensive alternative splicing (AS) regulation, while almost all genes in branch II were only constitutively spliced, despite having more introns. This study highlights the complex and divergent regulations of a group of conserved RNA binding proteins in different plants when exposed to identical stress conditions. These species-specific regulations may have implications for stress responses and adaptations in different plant species.

The vertebrate stress response (SR) is mediated by the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis and contributes to generating context appropriate physiological and behavioral changes. Although the HPA axis plays vital roles both in stressful and basal conditions, research has focused on the response under stress. To understand broader roles of the HPA axis in a changing environment, we characterized an adaptive behavior of larval zebrafish during ambient illumination changes. Genetic abrogation of glucocorticoid receptor (nr3c1) decreased basal locomotor activity in light and darkness. Some key HPI axis receptors (mc2r [ACTH receptor], nr3c1), but not nr3c2 (mineralocorticoid receptor), were required to adapt to light more efficiently but became dispensable when longer illumination was provided. Such light adaptation was more efficient in dimmer light. Our findings show that the HPI axis contributes to the SR, facilitating the phasic response and maintaining an adapted basal state, and that certain adaptations occur without HPI axis activity.

In the present investigation, natural bone-derived hydroxyapatite (HA, 2 wt %) and/or exfoliated graphene (Gr, 0.1 wt %)-embedded polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) elastomeric films were prepared using a vascular method. The morphology, mechanical properties, crystallinity, and chemical structure of the composite films were evaluated. The in vitro biodegradation kinetics of the films indicates their adequate physiological stability. Most of the results favored PDMS/HA/Gr as a best composite scaffold having more than 703% elongation. A simulation study of the microfluidic vascular channel of the PDMS/HA/Gr scaffold suggests that the pressure drop at the outlet became greater (from 1.19 to 0.067 Pa) unlike velocity output (from 0.071 to 0.089 m/s), suggesting a turbulence-free laminar flow. Our bioactive scaffold material, PDMS/HA/Gr, showed highest cytotoxicity toward the lung cancer and breast cancer cells through Runx3 protein-mediated cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) generation. Our data and predicted mechanism also suggested that the PDMS/HA/Gr-supported peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) not only increased the generation of CTL but also upregulated the expression of RUNX3. Since the PDMS/HA/Gr scaffold-supported Runx3 induced CTL generation caused maximum cell cytotoxicity of breast cancer (MCF-7) and lung cancer (A549) cells, PDMS/HA/Gr can be treated as an excellent potential candidate for CTL-mediated cancer therapy.

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a chronic disease that usually develops in older people. Pathogenetic changes in this disease include anatomical and functional complexes. Harmful factors damage the retina and macula. These changes may lead to partial or total loss of vision. The disease can occur in two clinical forms: dry (the progression is slow and gentle) and exudative (wet-progression is acute and severe), which usually starts in the dry form; however, the coexistence of both forms is possible. The etiology of AMD is not fully understood, and the precise mechanisms of the development of this illness are still unknown. Extensive genetic studies have shown that AMD is a multi-factorial disease and that genetic determinants, along with external and internal environmental and metabolic-functional factors, are important risk factors. This article reviews the role of glutathione (GSH) enzymes engaged in maintaining the reduced form and polymorphism in glutathione S-transferase theta-1 (GSTT1) and glutathione S-transferase mu-1 (GSTM1) in the development of AMD. We only chose papers that confirmed the influence of the parameters on the development of AMD. Because GSH is the most important antioxidant in the eye, it is important to know the influence of the enzymes and genetic background to ensure an optimal level of glutathione concentration. Numerous studies have been conducted on how the glutathione system works till today. This paper presents the current state of knowledge about the changes in GSH, GST, GR, and GPx in AMD. GST studies clearly show increased activity in ill people, but for GPx, the results relating to activity are not so clear. Depending on the research, the results also suggest higher and lower GPx activity in patients with AMD. The analysis of polymorphisms in GST genes confirmed that mutations lead to weaker antioxidant barriers and may contribute to the development of AMD; unfortunately, a meta-analysis and some research did not confirm that connection. Unspecific results of many of the parameters that make up the glutathione system show many unknowns. It is so important to conduct further research to understand the exact mechanism of defense functions of glutathione against oxidative stress in the human eye.

Strigolactones (SLs) are a new class of plant hormones that play a significant role in regulating various aspects of plant growth promotion, stress tolerance and influence the rhizospheric microbiome. GR24 is a synthetic SL analog used in scientific research to understand the effects of SL on plants and to act as a plant growth promoter. This study aimed to conduct hormonal seed priming at different concentrations of GR24 (0.1, 0.5, 1.0, 5.0 and 10.0 µM with and without arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) inoculation in selected aerobic rice varieties (CR Dhan 201, CR Dhan 204, CR Dhan 205, and CR Dhan 207), Kasalath-IC459373 (P-tolerant check), and IR-36 (P-susceptible check) under phosphorus (P)-deficient conditions to understand the enhancement of growth and priming effects in mycorrhization. Our findings showed that seed priming with 5.0 µM SL GR24 enhanced the performance of mycorrhization in CR Dhan 205 (88.91 %), followed by CR Dhan 204 and 207, and AMF sporulation in CR Dhan 201 (31.98 spores / 10 gm soil) and CR Dhan 207 (30.29 spores / 10 g soil), as well as rice growth. The study showed that the highly responsive variety CR Dhan 207 followed by CR Dhan 204, 205, 201, and Kasalath IC459373 showed higher P uptake than the control, and AMF treated with 5.0 µM SL GR24 varieties CR Dhan 205 followed by CR Dhan 207 and 204 showed the best performance in plant growth, chlorophyll content, and soil functional properties, such as acid and alkaline phosphatase activity, soil microbial biomass carbon (MBC), dehydrogenase activity (DHA), and fluorescein diacetate activity (FDA). Overall, AMF intervention with SL GR24 significantly increased plant growth, soil enzyme activity, and uptake of P compared to the control. Under P-deficient conditions, seed priming with 5.0 µM strigolactone GR24 and AMF inoculum significantly increased selected aerobic rice growth, P uptake, and soil enzyme activities. Application of SLs formulations with AMF inoculum in selected aerobic rice varieties, CR Dhan 207, CR Dhan 204, and CR Dhan 205, will play an important role in mycorrhization, growth, and enhancement of P utilization under P- nutrient deficient conditions.
