Addressing these issues could necessitate a crucial re-evaluation of the assessment criteria, emphasizing a balance between quantity and quality to foster an academic environment that values meaningful contributions and innovation.

Drawing from evidence in other medical disciplines, this review endeavors to compile essential characteristics that PRPs must possess, aiming to mitigate the impact of variables affecting results in forthcoming studies.
