RESUMO

The effect of including transcutaneous low-intensity magnetic-laser radiation of blood in combined antiinflammatory therapy of salpingo-oophoritis was studied. This physiotherapy stimulates phagocytic activity of neutrophilic leukocytes of the peripheral blood, promotes faster normalization of enzymatic and non-enzymatic systems of these cells.

RESUMO

97 females at reproductive age with chronic nonspecific salpingo-oophoritis (CNSO) were examined and treated. The results of the treatment (vaginal and external impact) demonstrate positive effects of various cryotherapeutic techniques on CNSO clinical course, on hormonal and immune unbalance, functional activity of the uterine tubes, regional hemodynamics, psychoemotional status. Thus, cryotherapy is an effective adjuvant in combined therapy of CNSO.

RESUMO

Ultrastructural changes of blood vessels of ovaries and oviducts, destruction of the part of follicular epitheliocytes and disruption of other structures of blood-follicular barrier occur at the early period of experimental inflammations of appendage uterus on the background of traditional antibiotic therapy. All changes lead to atresia of growing follicules. Fibrotic-sclerotic changes develop on the 30th day and during later period. Course of eplir phonophoresis decreases ultrastructural disruptions of vessels, follicular apparatus of ovaries and oviducts epithelium. Effect of physiotherapy is manifested though activity of fibroclasts and macrophages, that regulate collagen production/resorption ratio thus preventing the development of fibrotic changes of ovary stroma and oviduct wall.

RESUMO

Massotherapy in different regimens has been used in 30 patients in remission of chronic salpingo-oophoritis (CSO). The massage produced positive changes in blood coagulation, immune status, regional hemodynamics of the small pelvis, bioelectric activity of the muscles of the anterior abdominal wall and lumbosacral region. A strong anesthetic and antiinflammatory effect of intensive massage in 78%, recovered reproductive function in 33% of the patients allow to recommend intensive massage as possible monotherapy of patients in remission of CSO.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: In the context of general financial constraints within many national health services spa treatment is being looked at ever more critically in various European countries. An important argument against spa treatment has been the supposed lack of evidence for its efficacy. This analysis was undertaken to gather firm data bearing on this problem. METHODS: Several data bases were searched systematically for randomized studies of spa treatment. Only those were included in which one patient cohort had received spa treatment, while the control cohort had been treated for the same ailment on an ambulant basis at home. Nonrandomized studies were excluded. RESULTS: Only three randomized studies were found in which two patient cohorts, one with and one without spa treatment, were compared (postsalpingitis, back pain and osteoarthritis, respectively). In all three the evidence indicated some additional benefit from spa treatment. CONCLUSIONS: The data are not sufficient to prove the benefit of spa treatment, nor are they adequate to disprove it. More evidence-based studies are necessary to arrive at rationally based decisions relating to the efficacy of spa treatment.

RESUMO

74 patients with chronic salpingo-oophoritis (CS) in remission were assessed as to effects of classic massage of the uterine and epoöphoronic reflexogenic zones on clinical pattern of the disease, bioelectric activity of the abdominal muscles, spine and pelvis, blood coagulation. The combined massage produced a more potent effect on electric activity of the above muscles and blood coagulation than massage on a single area. It is better to start massage from the abdomen and continue in the lumbosacral area.

RESUMO

Therapeutic response to treatment (vaginal and external cryotherapy, drugs) in 97 patients with chronic salpingo-oophoritis at reproductive age provides the conclusion on effectiveness of various cryotherapeutic regimens in this disease. Cryotherapy improves regional blood circulation, restores contractility of the uterine tubes.

RESUMO

Treatment results assessed in 170 females of the reproductive age who had previously undergone reconstructive-plastic operations on uterine tubes provide evidence for effectiveness of differentiated use of impulse infrared laser and sinusoidal modulated currents in combination with balneotherapy. The above physiotherapeutic modalities are considered good aftertreatment for females operated on the uterine tubes.

RESUMO

The program of combined use of nonpharmaceutical modalities to treat functional tubal infertility proposed by the authors is effective in correction of contractile activity of the uterine tubes and psychoemotional condition of the patients. Due to the treatment, the reproductive function recovered in 56% of the patients under 30 years of age who had been infertile less than 5 years.
