ABSTRACT
CASE We present the rare event of median nerve bony entrapment after a supracondylar distal humerus fracture in a child. The median nerve was both clinically and electrically still, partially intact at 2 years after the injury. The nerve was surgically extracted from the bone. Follow-up evaluation a year later showed motor and sensory improvement. We found only 2 similar reports in the literature and one similar postmortem example. CONCLUSION:
We hope that this case brings awareness of an unusual complication after a commonly encountered injury.
