ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND AND

AIMS:

Silent information regulator 1 (Sirt1) involved in histone stability, transcriptional activity, and translocation. This systematic review aimed to summarize the effects of Resveratrol on Sirt1 expression. MATERIALS AND

METHODS:

Electronic databases including Scopus, Medline and web of knowledge were searched up to March 2020.

RESULTS:

Out of 801 studies identified in our search finally 12 articles included. Totally six studies evaluated the effects of resveratrol on SIRT1 gene expression, and six articles investigate protein expression.

CONCLUSION:

The results of the included studies showed that resveratrol supplementation had beneficial effects on protein and gene expression of SIRT1.
